I had the idea for this show for a few years now. Interview geek celebrities and hear their incredible stories. Seems easy enough. Who wouldn’t want to listen to their favorite podcaster talk about things more openly?

The problem is that I’m just a random dude asking for their time and personal stories. I have no credibility or representation, minimal experience, and there’s nothing in it for them. How am I supposed to even contact these people on a professional level? It just doesn’t make sense.

Because I’m a creature of habit, this is just what I do. Snap idea, romanticize about an unlikely outcome, and put everything I have into it until I run out of steam and it crashes to the ground.

But I don’t want to give up on this idea. There is something here and I want to see it to the end. All it takes is a little bit of restructuring. I don’t want to force something, if it’s not working. I know I’m good at talking to people and hearing what they have to say. I just need to not be so worried about perfection, and be real. Why are “geek celebrity” stories any more interesting than the stories my “geek friends” talk about in my guild?

So, if you have something to say, want to talk about what you’ve been through, or what’s on your mind- let me know. I’m willing to see where it goes from here. Besides, I have this domain for 12 months, let’s get weird with it!
