Car Thief Caught After Calling 911 To Brag

A car thief from Duluth was caught by the police after he called 911 to brag about it. He also made the mistake of telling the police that they will not be able to catch him.

According to the police, the thief also stole some gas for the car he took earlier in the night. At 2 am a police officer saw him and a car chase followed, which ended with the thief crashing into a guardrail and running away. Soon after the car was found abandoned.

After that, the thief decided to call 911 and tell the dispatchers that he was smarter than the cops and that’s why he wouldn’t be caught. Two hours after the call, someone called 911 to report that there is a prowler at his house. He was found by the police soon after.

Just wondering, how much smarter than the cops someone needs to be in order for them to call 911 and brag about it?

Moving Rocks From Death Valley

In Death Valley, California, there are some rocks that move on their own. From small ones to boulders, you can find them in the area, with trails that go straight, turn, make loops or zigzag. Not all of them move though, and for some time it was thought that magnetic forces were to blame.

Now, it is thought that the wind is the cause of their movement. When the water is enough to soak the flat clay and the temperature goes below freezing, very small ice crystals form under the rocks. These let the rocks slide slowly on them, if the wind is powerful enough. The result is a trail, as seen in the photos.
