In this position, I will be responsible for managing all visual communications at ACC. As many of you know, I developed and maintain the ACC website and create many other graphics you see each week. In my new capacity, I’ll also oversee all print publications, signage and other media.

This is currently an unpaid ministry position. I will still be employed full time by an engineering firm. But I am, nonetheless, now an official member of the ACC staff.

As a result of this exciting change, I have also resigned as a deacon at ACC.

This Sunday during both services, I will be sharing my vision for this ministry.

One word: PAIN.

Ab Ripper 100 and 200 from Power 90 have NOTHING on Ab Ripper X. 349 movements, each of which come close to killing you.

All I can say is that Tony Horton is an animal, and if I can keep up with the workouts and, more importantly, the nutrition, I probably will be too in 90 days.

Speaking of the food…dang. 2400 calories is a lot more than the 1600 I’m used to from Power 90. It’s hard to even finish it all.

I made it down to 162 lbs and about 18.5% body fat by the end of Power 90 (down from 184 lb at my heaviest and almost 25% body fat). Those results even impressed me. If that’s any indication of how this 90 days will go, I think I’ll be even more surprised. I can’t wait to see how this goes!

Well, I’ve made it 60 days into this routine. Not too bad. Missed a few times in the last 30 days, but still good overall.

Here are my stats day 1 vs. day 30 vs. Day 60:

So I’ve lost 9.0 lbs (5.19%) during the first 60 days of Power 90, almost 5 inches in the gut and 2.75 inches in the pantline. My heaviest weight was 184.0 lb (which I was at a few months ago, so I’ve actually lost 19.5 lb total so far.

I’m really thinking of ordering P90X now and starting it the day after Day 90 of Power 90. I want to keep up the momentum, and I think I’ll be ready for the X.

I’m anxious to see how the final 30 days of this goes – especially now that I’m off of my blood pressure medicine. I’m feeling much better and have much more energy now because of that, so I’m hoping I’ll see some great results in this last month.

This was an interesting week. Marie had surgery on Monday, and I spent my week taking care of her and playing Nurse Josh, so I worked out a total of zero days. I did my best to eat as well as I could, but it was by far the worst week since starting this. I definitely appreciate how much time Marie has put into taking care of both of us on the nutrition side of things (among many other things that she does as well). In no way could I possibly do this by myself. So a big thank you goes out to my beautiful wife for helping me through this. She is pretty amazing.

However, that being said, I still managed to lose 1.5 lb. I think that can be attributed to kicking my butt the past 6 weeks so that I have built lean muscle and my metabolism has dramatically increased. My body was just doing it’s thing, and it worked wonderfully.

Today is day 43 of Power 90, which means I’m nearly half done with the initial program. Even though I didn’t work out at all last week, I moved up to Level III-IV on the videos, and I have to say…it completely kicked my butt today. I had no clue how increasingly hard it was going to be jumping up to the next level. I have no idea how I finished it. I have to say though, I am really excited to see my Day 60 and Day 90 pictures because there is no way that there won’t be a dramatic difference after seeing what I’m going to be doing for the next month and a half. If I can stick with this closely, it ought to really whip me into shape. Now I know why people say they can see the most dramatic results in the last 30 days of the program! Bring it on!
