MY REVIEW

The Diabolist is the third book in the Dominic Grey series. I have had the pleasure to read all 3 books in this series and I have to say I absolutely love the entire series. This book was just as good as the other two. I got sucked into the book and couldn't stop reading. I highly recommend this book and I highly recommend this series.

MY REVIEW

I started reading this book this morning and really couldn't put it down. It really got me wanting to read it all to know the ending.

If you are into Mystery/thriller books I highly recommend this book. It is book #4 in this series but you don't have to read the other books in the series to understand this one but really I highly recommend you read the entire series as well because all the books are very good.

I give this 5 out of 5.

I hate cleaning the bathroom. It is the grosses room to clean so I used the HomeRight SteamMachine Power Steamer to clean the bathroom first. First I cleaned the tiles in our bathtub enclosure and I was impressed. All I needed to do was spray the tiles with the steamer and then wipe the tiles. I didn't even have to scrub like I usually do.

Next I did the grosses part.. The toilet and the floor around the toilet. I used the steamer and didn't have to scrub like I usually do and didn't need to use any chemicals. I also washed the bathroom sink and counter then the vinyl tiles on the floor.It took me less time to clean the entire bathroom than it usually does. I like that because less time I spend cleaning the bathroom the better.

I also used this machine to clean the BBQ grill. You get a brush for that with you machine. For this job it took me about the same amount of time as it usually does but at least I didn't have to use stinky spray to clean. Also it is good to use in the oven. And again it takes some scrubbing but it took me a bit less time that it usually does and didn't use stinky spray that gives me a headache so I am very happy about that as well.

You can also use this to clean mirrors, shower doors, windows, floors (not carpet) and you can use it to get rid of wallpaper. I haven't used it to get rid of wallpaper yet but I plan on doing that sometime this summer. I will do an other post later on this year once I have used it on the ugly wallpaper to let you know how well it worked.

Overall, I am very impressed with this little SteamMachine Power Steamer. It works great and even with water inside it isn't very heavy.I like the fact that there is a compartment in the machine (in front where you can put the small adapters inside just so that you do not lose them). It isn't really heavy even with the water in it and it has a handle so it is easy to carry it around the house. My only complaint about this is the fact that you can't put the power cord or the hose away. It isn't a huge deal since I put the steamer in it's box and in the basement when I am not using it so it doesn't get in the way.

The SteamMachine leaves behind no chemical residue and kills 99% of all germs and bacteria.. This little machines uses pressurized, high temperature, steam to loosen and dissolve dirt, grease, grime and kill bacteria. If you are sensitive to scents like I am The SteamMachine is something you might want to look into getting.

What you get in the box is the machine, wallpaper steam plate, floor steam mop with microfiber cleaning pad, brass brush, 2 nylon brushes, jet nozzle, squeegee and measuring cup with fill funnel.

MY REVIEW

I wasn't sure I would like this because it isn't really something that interest me but I gave it a chance. I am glad I did.

This is very well done and the acting is fantastic. I didn't really know the story of how he had died since I don't think I ever learned any of it in school (I went to French schools here in Canada) but I am so happy I have watched this movie. I haven't read the book but I had heard of it before.

Would this be something I would ever watch again? I don't think I would ever watch it again. Not because it isn 't any good (I think it is a good one) but this genre of movies isn't something I would watch more than once but I do know some people who would.

If your father is into all this history stuff I think he might enjoy this Blu-ray.

In recent months, high profile film and television projects have been released featuring the United States of America’s 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. There of course was Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln, a biopic set in the last three months of his Presidency, featuring the Academy Award-winning performance by Daniel Day-Lewis (Gangs of New York, There Will Be Blood, Last of the Mohicans). Spielberg’s Lincoln followed Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a slightly different take on The President’s tenure in office, which opened in theaters last summer. These two projects will add to the list of nearly 300 film and television portrayals of the man labeled our greatest President.

Billy Campbell is uncanny as the beloved President in KILLING LINCOLN, which makes its debut on Blu-ray and DVD June 11^th. Here’s a rundown some of the stand out portrayals of Lincoln in recent years.

1. Henry Fonda, (Young Mr. Lincoln, 1939)

1939 is considered a banner year for Hollywood, with classic films such as Gone with the Wind and The Wizard of Oz among the greatest released that year. John Ford, considered by many to be the greatest of Western film directors, released two major films that year: Stagecoach (Which gave birth to the Western as we know it) and Young Mr. Lincoln. A fictionalized account of Lincoln’s days as a prairie lawyer, the film features a young Henry Fonda in one of his early screen roles. Fonda turns in a truly amazing performance as Lincoln, capturing the tenderness and humor that Lincoln is known for, while also showing how he would go on to become a shrewd lawyer and politician. Although not as well known as other films of its day, this truly captures the spirit of Lincoln in his formative years in Illinois.

2. Hal Holbrook (Sandburg’s Lincoln, 1974; North and South, 1985; North and South, Book II, 1986)

Hal Holbrook is one of the few actors who portrayed Lincoln on film more than once. He first donned the stovepipe hat and beard for what has been called the first televised miniseries, Sandburg’s Lincoln, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning biography by Carl Sandburg. Holbrook truly did a magnificent job in the role, showing mostly Lincoln’s penchant for humor, while also showing his softer and political sides when needed. For his performance, Holbrook would win an Emmy Award for Best Actor. Eleven years after Lincoln, he would reprise the role for the adaptation of John Jakes’ bestselling novels North and South and Love and War, where he delivers a more tender portrayal of Lincoln during his time in office. Holbrook is also the only previous actor to portray Lincoln who starred in Spielberg’s Lincoln, as Francis Preston Blair.

3. Gregory Peck (The Blue and the Gray, 1982)

Gregory Peck, star of such classic films as Moby Dick, To Kill a Mockingbird and The Guns of Navarone, portrayed Lincoln for this 1982 miniseries. Although a relatively minor role in the series, Peck once again shines out above the rest of the cast, giving a truly memorable performance as Lincoln (His recitation of the Gettysburg Address is truly memorable). Peck felt himself too old to portray the character, but that did not stop him from turning in a fantastic performance.

4. Sam Waterston (Gore Vidal’s Lincoln, 1988; The Civil War, 1990)

Like Hal Holbrook, Sam Waterston (“Law and Order”) would portray Lincoln more than once. In 1988, he starred in the adaptation of Gore Vidal’s novel Lincoln, which looked at the more political side of our 16th President. Many feel Waterston’s portrayal in this miniseries is the most definitive Lincoln we have on film. Although he does show his humorous side, he also shows that Lincoln was a shrewd and powerful politician, able to handle his cabinet and others with great effectiveness. Waterston earned an Emmy nomination for his portrayal but he is best remembered for giving voice to Abraham Lincoln in Ken Burns’ classic documentary, The Civil War, which garnered tremendous critical acclaim, and high ratings for PBS. Waterston’s recitation of the Gettysburg Address is just one of the highlights in what is truly a remarkable document of our nation at war.

5. Fritz Klein (No Retreat from Destiny: The Battle that Rescued Washington, 2006)

A powerful but little-known film, No Retreat from Destiny depicts the events of July, 1864, when Jubal Early’s Confederate force nearly took Washington City, but a delaying action at Monocacy allowed time for Federal troops to defend the capital from invasion. The film features Fritz Klein, a well-known Lincoln actor, as the President, showing the resolve to win the war to the end, and refusing to leave the capital, despite the threat of Confederate invasion. Klein’s portrayal is subdued, but also shows the talent of a man who knows Lincoln inside and out, and gives the film’s best performance. Despite its miniscule $500,000 budget (Which shows at times), the performances and thrilling battle footage more than make up for it.

6. Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, 2012)

Mr. Walker plays Lincoln in 2012's Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The film was a wild thrill ride as the President took on Vampires whilst not on his Presidential duties. Not the most authentic portrayal but certainly the most fun!

7. Daniel Day Lewis (Lincoln, 2012)

Often regarded as the greatest actor of our time, Daniel Day-Lewis plays the 16th president in Steven Spielberg’s biographical war drama Lincoln which opened at the end of last year and went on to earn Day Lewis his third Academy Award for Best Actor. Interestingly enough, Liam Neeson originally was considered by the role but pulled out back in 2010. Day Lewis however embodies the role; he lives and breathes the part bringing a performance so self-assured that it cannot be captured with words.

MY REVIEW

I thought this book is a pretty good read.

It is perfect to read while you are out relaxing in the backyard on the patio or on the beach. This is a fun quick easy read that kept me reading until the end.

MY REVIEW

I don't think I had ever seen any of these movies before but I am glad I got to review these.

My husband and I watched them together and we very much enjoyed all three movies. Yes these are old (late 70's to mid 80's ) movies but we do sometimes like watching movies older movies. The story line of these movies are fantastic. There is enough action and Mel Gibson is fantastic playing Mad Max.

This is a collection to give to a father who loves these movies.

I highly recommend Mad Max trilogy on Blu-ray.

Tia doesn't only teach you what clothing best suits your body type but she also talks about beauty products.

I highly recommend this ebook.

My cat is about 11 years old and for the past few years she has gotten picky when it comes to her litter box. I clean it every day and some days I pick up her duties 2 times per day but but lately she has gotten into the habit of pooping on the floor near her litter box instead of in it.

About Litter Getter

MY REVIEW

I noticed a huge difference on the first day Meeloo used the litter box with the Litter Getter in it. She didn't do her business on the floor. I still have to clean her litter box every single day but at least now she doesn't do anything on the floor unless I don't clean the litter box every day. It sure saves me from having to pick up on the floor and mop and disinfect the floor all the time.

This movie is ok but nothing to really get excited about. Well I don't think so anyways but maybe if you are/were a fan of Hank Williams you might enjoy this movie more. The acting was decent and story line was ok but personally this movies just wasn't my cup of tea.

I am a action movie fan and a WWE fan and a Randy Orton fan so I couldn't wait to see this movie.

I watched this today and boy am I glad I watched it. This movie is action packed and will keep you watching. I am one of those people who always multitask while watching a movie but 12 Rounds 2:Releaded got my full attention all through the entire movie.

The story line in this movie is fantastic and like I said it is action packed. I think this would be a fantastic gift for Father's Day if the father is a fan of action movies.

This movie is one I will be watching again in the future.

MY REVIEW

This Blu-ray is great even though there isn't much they can do to convert it to HD since this movie is 50 years old . The picture is fantastic and this movie almost doesn't look like it is 50 . The sound quality is fantastic as well. I was very surprised at the quality.

I remember watching this movie when i was a child but I do not remember it being so long. It is 243 minutes long!! Good thing I had nothing important to do this morning. For such an old movie this is such a great classic that I know I will be watching again in the future.

MY REVIEW

This is a cute , quick and easy summer read. It is very well written but honestly I didn't like this book as much as I thought I would.

Some of you might like this book more than I did but really this isn't a book that would keep and read again in the future.

According to Zaggora's site, you wear these pants , you sweat and lose weight so I decided to put it to the test.

I put these one everyday for 2 weeks. I was going to wear them while I took Azrael (my dog) for walks but after wearing it for a bit on the day I got these pants I decided not to because they made weird sounds and I would be embarrassed if anyone heard the sound.

Anyways, I wore these pretty much every day. Some days only for 30 minutes while i was working out and some days I would wear for a few hours while I was moving around the house doing my usual daily stuff and also while I was blogging. I am not one who sweat a lot and it does take me quite a lot to get a sweat but boy did those pants get me sweating. Even when I was just sitting around I would sweat a little bit and I really never noticed it until I took them off.

These pants kind of remind me of wet suits (scuba suits). The pants are very comfortable but like I said earlier I found they made weird noises that I just can't describe . Also they kept rolling down. I don't think it is the pants' fault but more like my fault because of my big belly. Also they made me itchy at first but that is because they are made of nylon and nylon always gets me itchy but after I got used to them I didn't get as itchy. Really though other than those 3 issues I have had with these pants, I actually like them and I find them super comfy.

Did they work? Well I measured myself and I weighed myself before and after the two weeks and I did not lose any inches off my body but I did lose about 5lbs. Even though I didn't lose much weight I do like these pants and I do think they are a little pricey but if I could afford to buy more of these and other products I would buy some just because they are comfortable.

Pure Via Stevia Review & Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

I recently was asked to review Pure Via and I admit I was a little reluctant to try it because I prefer my usually sugar in my coffee or tea and I was worried it wouldn't taste as good but I like to try new products so I figured why not try it out.

First I tried the Pure Via Stevia zero calorie sweetener. To be honest i did not like the taste of that one in my coffee. I didn't find it to sweet at all but I don't know, the taste just didn't do it for me. Maybe some people like it but personally it just wasn't for me. Even my husband wasn't too fond of it. On a good note, I have made Strawberry Banana Smoothies with it (recipe is found at the bottom of this review) and actually don't mind this sweetener at all.

Then we tried the Turbinado Raw Cane Sugar and Stevia Blend. Now this one we both liked very much. We put in in our coffees for a few days now and we love it.

The granulated Pure Via Stevia is recommended for baking and but i used it in coffee and cereal instead because I am not really big on baking but I couldn't even taste the difference so if you love to bake this will be good.

Now here is the recipe for the strawberry banana smoothie. I did try it but unfortunately my blender wasn't working well and didn't want to blend the fruits properly and the blender started to smell like burning so I ended up having chunks of frozen bananas and opt out on the ice cubes. It had nothing to do with the recipe, just that my blender was old. Seriously even though there were chunks of frozen bananas in the smoothies they were so very yummy. My husband wants me to make more as soon as we get a new blender.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

SERVINGS
Makes: 4 cups

INGREDIENTS
1 cup plain lowfat yogurt
1/2 cup plain soy milk
4 packets Pure Via® sweetener
2 small bananas, frozen*
3 cups quartered fresh strawberries
4 ice cubes

DIRECTIONS

Place yogurt, soy milk, Pure Via® sweetener, bananas and strawberries in blender container. Cover and blend on medium speed until smooth. Add ice cubes and continue to blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses. Serve immediately.

*Peel bananas, cut into 3 pieces each and place in plastic bag. Freeze until needed.
