Along with coverage on the new titles, the videos will also feature dev interviews, game demos, and presentations on upcoming content.  Apparently it’s going to be more fun than a flying chocobo…not. The show will air live throughout the main show, from June 11 to the 13th.

The game’s definitely looking and feeling a lot like a spiritual successor to Myst – both in the puzzles and in the environments and in the optional story with deeper... ]]> Jonathan Blow was one of the first indie developers to come out as a confirmed PS4 developer with his new game The Witness, a puzzle-solving and exploration-driven open-world game, at the PlayStation 2013 meeting. Now he’s stepping out once again to talk about developing the game for PS4.

The game’s definitely looking and feeling a lot like a spiritual successor to Myst – both in the puzzles and in the environments and in the optional story with deeper layers for players to discover – and carries on that same indie flair. It’ll definitely be worth checking out when it debuts on PlayStation 4 sometime soon.

And if you haven’t seen the original trailer… just do it. It’s beautiful and worth watching, even a second or third time if you’ve seen it before.

XSEED Games has announced its lineup, with strong games such as Ragnarok Odyssey Ace.

In the past year XSEED Games helped bring over much wanted JRPG games such as The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower for the Nintendo Wii. Personally I am very happy with the company in bringing over Rune Factory titles as well.

KILLER IS DEAD
PS3/Xbox 360, Summer 2013 – Created by game legend SUDA51, this highly anticipated original game is set in a not-so-distant future similar to (but not the same as) the world we know now. The player takes control of an executioner named Mondo Zappa who wields a Japanese sword in his right hand and brandishes interchangeable weapons in his left artificial arm. His ultimate goal is to execute various heinous criminals scattered around the world and beyond.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace
PS3 / PS Vita; Winter – This new title in the popular Ragnarok Odyssey action RPG franchise brings players cross-platform play between PS3 and Vita as well as rich new content to explore. Developed by Game Arts, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE brings a new Tower of Yggdrasil dungeon that creates random dungeons with different rooms and enemy placement, a new battle system, and a plethora of new items and features.

Rune Factory 4
Nintendo 3DS, Summer 2013 – The first game in the Rune Factory simulation/role-playing series to be released on the Nintendo 3DS, Rune Factory 4 adds new romance options, the ability to select a male or female character at the game’s start, and has endless crafting, farming and cooking opportunities. The player becomes Selphia’s prince or princess and can manage the village, explore the countryside with townsfolk, or tame monsters in the wild to aid them in battle or help out in the fields.

Valhalla Knights 3
PS Vita, Fall 2013 – The fourth title published by XSEED Games in the popular Valhalla Knights action RPG series, Valhalla Knights 3 features a robust character creation system and brings intense seven-on-seven party-based combat to the PS Vita. Players can select from one of seven races and one of twenty job classes such as Fighter, Mage, Thief, Priest, Akatoki or Archer, while also equipping two sub-jobs. Ys: Memories of Celceta

Find out more about the event, including who’s presenting,... ]]> Nintendo has scheduled a Pokémon X & Y presentation during E3 2013, to be held on June 11 at 6pm Pacific / 8pm Central. This will be a first chance for most of the media to get a live look at the game outside of Nintendo Direct presentations and other trailer releases, so we should discover a lot more about the game’s new features, new world, and new Pokémon.

It does however, specify that the world gameplay reveal is set for E3 2013 during Sony’s PlayStation press conference, which will be held on June 10 beginning at 6:00pm Pacific / 8:00pm Central.

The third phase of the relaunched game’s beta is to begin next month.  The phase will be the first time A Realm Reborn will be open to... ]]> Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game.  Square Enix has now officially announced its launch for August 27th on both PC and PS3.  Fans that pre-order the standard or Collector’s Edition of the game will be able to obtain exclusive in-game content such as Early Access.

The third phase of the relaunched game’s beta is to begin next month.  The phase will be the first time A Realm Reborn will be open to PS3 players during the beta.

The presentation will focus on Wii U titles for fall 2013 and beyond, including but not limited to a new 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., and The Legend of Zelda titles for Wii U, as well as any other brand-new reveals.

The game is being developed by Ghost Games, EA’s newest... ]]> EA announced a new Need for Speed title today: Need for Speed: Rivals, due this November 19 for current generation platforms, with Xbox One and PS4 versions due “later this year.” Notice how “current-generation platforms” doesn’t necessarily specify “Wii U,” and the Nintendo platform certainly can’t fall under a “next-generation” bubble because those platforms have been specified. Also note that it seems implicit that next-gen consoles are launching in November.

The game is being developed by Ghost Games, EA’s newest studio, in partnership with regular series studio Criterion Games. It’s being built in Frostbite 3 – which like the language of omission above implicitly de-confirms a Wii U version – and gives players the chance to play as either cops or racers for a new set of high stakes challenges as they attempt to raise their renown.
