Every year, both to test my skill with my software, and to create a seasonal header for my site, I try to create a cute graphic image.

This year was no exception. Unfortunately, due to several bouts with flu (H1N1 and seasonal) I have been knocked back on my heels. Work piled up and time for playing with graphics was short.

Colour can change subtly when viewed in context with other colours.

A "Name Specific Logo" is one that uses only the name of the company. the distinctiveness of the name, along with the type face and treatments applied to the type give these logos their character. Sometimes the logo is accompanied by a tag line or slogan which is always displayed with the name.

In June, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the agency that protects consumers from fraud, began a review it's advertising guidelines to see if blogs and other social media outlets should be subject to the FTC's oversight. With a vote of 4 to 0 the FTC now includes the blogersphere under it's umbrella of oversight.
