The infamous line Only in the Philippines is very much applicable in this scenario.

We saw this this dog riding a motorcycle while driving by Julia Vargas Avenue going to SM Megamall. It looks like their normal route since I saw a few traffic enforcers waving at them. It's cool and weird at the same time.

In case you are wondering, that's a TV network logo on his coat. Not sure if it's part of an exchange deal with the network or it's the dog owner's way of calling for their attention. Either way, it's not really a safe ride for the dog, even if it's wearing a helmet.

Obtaining the appropriate winery insurance for your winemaking company may perhaps prove vital to your business success and its lasting viability. Not only will your wine making business meet a number of unique risks and variable situations unique to this industry but surprising, abnormal or extremely irregular weather could make or break your entire wine making operation.

Because we understand the extraordinary effects climate might have on your vines, grapes, harvest and production, we want to work with you to eliminate as many financial risks to your winery company as viable by ensuring you are appropriately covered by winery insurance.

Many are questioning what effects global warming and the related to climate change conditions may have on grape growing. Some of the effects of extreme climatic changes which have been recognized as potential outcomes include irrigation problems, soil erosion, the spreading of diseases in the vineyard or maybe flooding. Taking these possibilities into consideration, it may make sense to look at your insurance sooner instead of later.

When you find the perfect apartment, everything miraculously falls in order.
Finding the best apartment and living a life of luxury does not happen by pure
luck. When you gather information and make choices based on your preferences,
you can increase your chances of living the good life in an awesome apartment.

Finding an Apartment
in a Great Neighborhood

The neighborhood that you choose almost always impacts your happiness in an
apartment. Some people enjoy units in lively, vibrant neighborhoods where they
can easily walk to commercial areas. For these people, the best New Orleans apartments are often in
the French Quarter and Garden District.

Some people want to live in areas that offer privacy. If you prefer living
in apartments that offer a little more peace and quiet, then you might like New Orleans' City Park
or Lakeview.

Get an Apartment
with Terrific Features

If you want a truly luxurious life, you have to find an apartment that
offers terrific features. Some of the best apartments give you state-of-the-art
appliances, exercise facilities, and enhanced security features. Some units
even have services that can help you keep your private places clean. Instead of
spending your time scrubbing floors, you can get out and enjoy yourself.

Choose an Apartment
that Makes Life Fun

If you like throwing parties, the best apartments will have rooms that let
you get down and have fun without worrying about cleaning up later. Party rooms
can vary significantly from unit to unit. Sometimes it just means a room where
residents can gather. Other apartment buildings have party rooms with hot tubs,
fully stocked bars, and attendants who collect coats and serve appetizers. When
you want to have a fun night, it really helps to have an apartment that makes
it easy.

Affordable
Apartments Can Make Life More Luxurious

Choosing an affordable apartment means that you can allocate money to other
things in life. Instead of spending every cent on a big, feature-filled
apartment, you can save money by choosing one that offers nice features without
going outside of your budget. When you have enough money left over at the end
of the month, you can spend it on long, luxurious dinners, buying nice clothes,
or saving for vacations.

Your needs will differ from those of other people, so it is impossible to
say that one apartment is absolutely better than all others. Instead, you
should look at your options and choose the best apartment that matches your
budget and needs. That way, you get to enjoy the best things in life without
worrying about money.

Let's celebrate the Earth Day by conserving energy, recycling, reusing, or even plant a tree. Even as simple as segregating our garbage bins can make a difference. Turn off our air conditioning and go out and enjoy the summer breeze. And don't forget to bring your ecobags.

It's happening again. Earth Hour 2012 on 8.30pm, Saturday, March 31st.

It's as simple as turning of the light when on that hour. But why limit it to just an hour? You can conserve energy whenever and wherever. It's a matter of reminding ourselves to take care of our planet just as we take care of ourselves.

Ceramic is fairly new to the jewelry industry. In fact 10 years ago no one had heard of them. Now ceramic wedding bands make up a large portion of black wedding bands. They have quickly become more popular than black tungsten because they resist scratching better and the color of them never fades. If you like an alternative look you should really look at getting a black ceramic ring.

Another type of metal that is making a big impression is palladium. So if you had consider platinum in the past you might want to look into a palladium wedding band. The look is the same. It is lighter and the cost is just a fraction of a platinum ring. So there are many things to consider now when you are looking to buy a wedding band. I hope this helps with your decision.

Learning how to play a musical instrument gives back something to soothe one's inner self. Maybe it's not the learning but the playing when you already know how to, but how are you going to reach that status if you do not start to learn at all? There are numerous musical instruments to choose from. While the most common is the guitar, others are equally satisfying as long as you enjoy playing any of them.

The flute is one of the instruments that can be played alone or with a backup orchestra, if you wish. The sound of a flute has a mesmerizing sound. A good composition for the flute will either lull you to sleep or wake you up in amazement. Just try to listen to Flight Of The Bumblebee rendered on flute via Youtube. With such piece so amazingly played normally on piano, having it played on flute makes it more amazing since you not just press the right holes but you also exert extra effort in blowing the right amount of air at the right time with the right mouth formation.

While most of the music pieces are classical in nature, it does not stop you to play pop tunes of your choice. Greensleeves may not be classical but it has attained its classic status some years ago. The lead tune of the flute is really hypnotic. If you want to adapt a tribal flavor, try Waka Waka! First, buy your Gemeinhardt flute so you can wake up to your dream.

Hi there!

It's been a while since I last joined this blog in a meme. I'm in the mood since the offspring is currently asleep and I have free time.

For this week, Vix of MumWrites posted these questions:

1. Grab the book nearest you + find page 28, what does line 3 say?

I'm currently reading Shelly Laurenston's book one in the Magnus Pack book series. It's called Pack Challenge, an urban-fantasy book about shape shifters. The 3rd line on page 28 is:

"Well?" He wanted their opinion on the female.

2. What is the last film you saw?

DK and I last saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the cinemas. And oh my God, Rooney Mara is great in that movie!

3. If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be?

I would have said Neil Gaiman because he's a brilliant author but I would be terribly intimidated to eat and would probably end up embarrassing myself. So I'm not so sure really, perhaps I'd rather not.

4. Is the glass half-empty or half-full?

Always half-full. I'm an optimistic person, a far cry from what I used to be, I know. But being a mother would do that to a person. :)

5. Where were you on Valentine’s day?

At home, reading. :D DK have work that day/night and we don't celebrate Valentine's Day, ever.

<img ;="" border="0" src="http://i796.photobucket.com/albums/yy244/vixenp33/blogs/nice-to-know-you-badge2.jpg" />That's it for me!

How about you? Answer these questions and visit Vix's blog and submit your link. College expenses such as housing, tuition and college textbooks can quickly add up and put a big dent in a student’s wallet. Often it is very hard to justify spending hundreds -- if not thousands -- of dollars on books that you will likely be used for just a semester. Thankfully, Campus Book Rentals has come up with a great way to get students the textbooks that they need for college, all while saving more than 50% of the cover price. Campus book rentals offers a huge variety of books that are sure to please even the most obscure majors including City Folk: English Country Dance and Politics of Folk in Modern America. Finding the book that you need is super easy and you can search by keyword, author, and subject or ISBN number. Once you order, your book it will be quickly processed and promptly shipped to you at no added cost. In fact, once you are done with the textbook simply ship it back in a prepaid envelope-with free shipping both ways you never get stuck with hefty postal charges. The rental periods available are tailored to the life of a busy college student. You can choose from semester (130 days), quarter (85 days) or summer (55 day) rentals. If you need to keep the textbooks just a little bit longer to study for that all important final exams take advantage of the 15 day grace period allowed when returning your book. Save your college money for what really counts and rent your cheap college textbooks instead.

Because I'm sure there are so many Valentine's Day blog posts out there. Have you seen Google's doodle video for Valentine's Day? So cute!

Watch Google Doodle: Valentine's Day video

I am so in love with this video. So adorable and simple. So guys, if you don't know what to do what to give to your love one on -- this is not just limited to Valentine's Day -- try spending more time with that person. They would appreciate it so much more. And come on, we all know material things lose its value in one way or another but memories don't.

Make new memories, something you'll cherish and would occasionally go back to. That's how you make a day special for your love one. ;)

Today's Google Doodle is for Charles Dicken's 200th birhtday.

Charles Dickens was an English novelist known for his novels A Christmas Carol, A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations, and a whole lot more listed here in Wikepedia's Charles Dickens bibliography. Several of his works have been made into TV series and movies.

He was born on February 7, 1812 in England. A day after having suffered a stroke, Charles Dickens passed away on June 9, 1870. He was 58 years old.

Despite his request of being buried in a private manner, he was buried in Poet's Corner of Westminster Abbey. It was said that Charles Dickens' last words, as reported in his obituary were:

"Be natural my children. For the writer that is natural has fulfilled all the rules of art."

The people who love gadgets love everything about them. They use the
devices, find new ways to update the tools and even take the electronics apart
to see how they work. No one recommends taking your contraption apart if you
are not a certified repair technician. But if you cannot take your gizmo apart,
how will you get it repaired if it breaks?

Imagine getting your reliable digital camera ready for your next hiking trip
only to realize that it is not working. You leave for your trip in a few days
and you don’t have the cash to get it fixed. But when you contact Paydayone.com
and get a pay day loan, you will find the way to get cash quickly and get
your camera fixed. The way that Paydayone.com helps gadget lovers keep their
devices running smoothly is something every hobbyist can appreciate. The
process is painless and simple, and the results are exactly what you expected.

How many times have you heard that the fax machine go off in the office only
to retrieve the print-out and discover the document is a spam? That is because
a standard fax machine cannot differentiate between important and unimportant
faxes.

Not only do these unwanted faxes waste resources like expensive ink and
paper, but traditional faxing is simply not environmentally friendly. Email faxing with Metrofax is a quick way to cut waste and print only those faxes that require you to have a hard copy on
file.

Image via Flickr

The Role of Email Faxing in the Environment

Indeed, the effect of global warming has had on the environment has caused
most businesses to check all practices that have an environmental impact. In
addition to recycling paper and making receptacles available for the proper
disposal of metal, cardboard, and plastic, companies are replacing typical
light bulbs with halogen lights.

Along these lines, email faxing allows a company to transfer a typical paper
fax into a digital copy and then attaching that fax to an email. This method
saves paper and ink, and much improves the ability to organize faxes for quick
access when you need them.

How much paper gets used by fax machines each year you ask? Environmental source GreenFax
claims that fax machines use more than 200 billion pages of paper each year in
the U.S.
alone! Can you imagine the number of trees that could be saved if just 10
percent of users made the switch to email faxing?

As much as I love welcoming the New Year with a positive
outlook, some people just go out of their way to annoy the life out of me.

The first week of 2012 has been good to me. I won in a
giveaway (a PayPal cash prize of $50, woohoo!) by Dhadha of I Heart Contest. I
was so excited when she announced it on Facebook and immediately sent her my PayPal
email address. It was a fast transaction and I immediately received my cash
prize. But earlier today, she was shocked when she received an email from some
person pretending to be me, thanking her and telling to send my prize to his
email address. Of course, the blog owner knew it was not me because she already
sent me the prize.

Who is this person pretending to be me?

I Heart Contest investigated the issue and learned
that this person's email address is connected to a profile account. Stupid scammer, this
Jay Martillo person.

So my message to this stupid person? Stop pretending to be someone
else. Work hard. Join contests on your own. Or try your luck and play online bingo to win cash prize instead of scamming the rest of the world.

Good luck to you and karma.

What a fun way to welcome 2012 the internet way. I guess Google created this to remind people to step away for a minute from the computer and celebrate the evening with real people, hahaha!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmastime is
here!

Though it may be late, I now feel the slight changes in the weather. The
cool Christmas breeze is in the air and the colorful decors can now be seen in most homes and establishments. And Christmas songs heard in every corner. The
much awaited season is coming fast and kids are getting excited. I know the kid
inside me have that feeling too. I think this season is our excuse to indulge in our material wishlist. It’s a good thing I don’t bring that much cash
when visiting malls or I would have indulged myself (and the little one) in a
shopping spree when visiting a toy shop, especially those with a wide toy selection like Deals Direct. It’s my weakness. I love cute toys
while the little one loves the colorful stuff. We try to make it a point to
save all the big gift purchases in time for Christmas.

Now that the big day is coming, we
cannot decide which toy to buy for the offspring. We're trying to limit it to one big/expensive toy and a couple of small toys (and perhaps some candy canes) as stocking fillers. The little one is not much of a help when choosing. We would show here our Christmas gift ideas but she would jump from one toy to another. But it's not all that bad. The good about visiting toy shops is that she became aware that she can look and sometimes touch those toys but she doesn't necessarily have to bring them home. Or we would be in big trouble.

This creepy crawly thing landed on our bed earlier this month.

I shriek like a mad banshee when I saw what it is. It almost landed on my underarm! Imagine how painful that could be. *shudder* Last week, a much tamer caterpillar landed on my shoulder. I freaked DK out because I landed on top of him while he was sleeping. It turned out that the in-laws are growing some vines on our room's roof so those creepy crawly things are finding it's way inside our room.

Have you touched a higad? How did you deal with it?

PS. Is higad caterpillar in Filipino?
I love reading. I think I got really hooked into it when I was in high school and I saw my childhood friend reading a young adult novel during school breaks and I was intrigued. She lent me her old copy and the rest is history. Of course, the books I prefer to read are not available in the library. Back then, we cannot afford to buy the books that we want to read. A book is about our week's worth allowance. So my friend and I would visit bookstores each day after school and read a chapter of the unsealed books until we finished reading it just by visiting bookstores. We always get this annoyed looks from the staff because we always hang out in their stations but those looks didn't bother us. Hahaha!

As I grew older and received more demanding responsibilities at school and life in general, the number of books I read in a month declined. Sad to say, I only read 18 books last year. When this year started, I planned to double the numbers of those books and I want to kick myself for not fulfilling even half of it! It's October now and I've only read 13 new books out of the 36 books in my goal. Ugh, it's so annoying!

That doesn't mean I'm not reading though. I am in fact addicted to *whisper*fanfiction*whisper*. Some of the stories I've read are so well written that the writers made a move and publish their own stories commercially. I am yet to buy some of those stories but I will have to order those from US because those are not readily available in the local bookstores.

And because I am not in the mood to learn new characters yet, I am re-reading one of my favorite book series: Guild Hunter by Nalini Singh.

Should I make a separate blog for the books I read? It might encourage me in reading more books before the year ends. Hmnnn, we'll see...

Have you been to college?

Are you going to college?

Chances are, if you answer yes to any of the two questions, you will be looking forward to writing your own term paper.

Every college student goes to a process of creating his or her own term paper. Whatever the course you are going to take or are taking, the term paper makes the professor know somehow that the student understands what he or she is pointing out. It takes time, effort, research and a lot of hard work to be able to write a meaningful and believable term paper.

While it may be easy for some to write their own, it will be quite difficult for others. It is simply because of the different take of one's ability to such. Some people are keen to understand and execute while others take time because they are slow thinkers. Slow thinkers, though, usually mean that their focus is on something else artistic. Writing is not their strength. They may understand but it takes quite slower than the others.

What, then, is the solution for these slow thinkers? Did you know that there are term papers for free available over the internet? All you have to do is to read and review what it says so that somehow you can internalize what the term paper is all about and make it a part of your own psyche.
