Scottish born and Canadian raised, I am a genealogy educator with an expertise
in the Scottish records. I enjoy sharing new resources so that others can find
their ancestors on their own. I am also a lecturer, writer and blogger on
Genealogy, Using Online Resources and of course, Scottish ancestry. I enjoy
taking fellow Scots "home" to discover their ancestral heritage. Many people are
interested in going to Scotland to do their family history research, but they
don't know where to begin. To make this easier and more productive, I run
Genealogy Tours of Scotland which offers 10 day trips to the Scottish Archives
in Edinburgh. These tours not only provide people with documentation on their
ancestors, but also helps them to fill in the social history and missing pieces
of information on their Scottish ancestors by giving them access to records not
available online. These trips also help people to discover their own Scottish
Heritage in the process.

Here's how:

You need a basic understanding of how Blogger works, how to create a blog post, and how to use Google Calendar.

Next, email geneabloggers@gmail.com and request permission to become an Author and gain access to the GeneaSpeak Calendar.

Then, create a blog post as your speaker profile. Use "________ - Speaker Profile" as the title where "_______" is your full name. List your name, email, bio, your presentation topics etc.

Finally, go to Google Calendar and start adding your speaking dates so people know where you'll be speaking!
