A salt and pepper shaker set that needs to be broken to function, “Fragile” is the first product produced by Israeli design studio Kahn. It's also the first in a line of "fragile" ceramic products (including a breakable necklace).

Breaking is an experience of impulsive outburst but this time is an act that builds rather than destroys. In a world of products whose shape is completely dictated by the designer, we enable the user to complete the design himself. The event of the breaking leaves its mark on the shaker and gives it its final, unique, one-of-a-kind appearance.

Korean design took center stage again at this year's Tokyo Design Tide, and one of the most interesting designs was this portable light by Luca 12:00.

Commonly found in the bathroom, a bar of soap is reborn as unique light object. Can be used on the deck, or off. Dimmable and interactive (rubbing the lamp controls the light intensity).

Not sure who the actual designer of these keyboards is, but they're absolutely gorgeous.

Manufactured by Hacoa, the keyboards appear to be available in a light and dark wood finish, and in regular and extended keyboard models.

Good Afternoon Clock

An ingenious design from Japan's Mile Project.

When turned off, the Good Afternoon Clock is nothing more than a plastic circle hanging on the wall. Turned on, it becomes a beautifully simple clock that tells time using thin beams of white light.

Unfortunately still a protoype, it shouldn't be too long before someone produces this.

手鏡は、よく使うのでついつい散らかってしまいがちです。こちらなら、立てて置いたときにはまるで花瓶に花が咲いたようなシルエットなので、お部屋が散らかって見えませんね。
