I am on a health kick! I am proud to say it and I don't feel bad that I didn't believe in diets or herbal remedies until I became a mom. You live, you learn. Or something like that. I think moms are probably the most unhealthy people out there. Moms don't eat right, barely sleep, get coughed on, vomited on, and get lots of snotty kisses and hugs. I can remember to give Little M his medicine every morning and night but cant remember to eat breakfast or lunch some days. And my vitamins? Huh. I am lucky when I remember to brush my hair before work.

I am resolved to be better though and I have been. I posted recently that I just started Nutrisystem. I have also started taking better care of my health. I think people overlook how much their digestion has to do with their overall health. I started taking 4X Pro-B Digestive Care almost a month ago and I feel great! I didnt just start taking probiotics. I also started taking a daily vitamin to go with my new health regiment. I have always been a big fan of probiotics for my children. My son eats YoBaby yogurt like its going out of style. This is him on his 1st birthday eating yogurt instead of his cake. And that is always fine with me because yogurt has healthy probiotics in it.

After I was sent the first 21 day supply of 4X Pro-B, I got online to buy some more. I went to Costco.com to search for it. I love Costco. I have been a member for a couple of years largely due to my husband doing his Financial Mgt Capstone class on it and needing to buy a membership. We never looked back. Every other Saturday you can find us there munching on the many samples they offer and stocking up on my husband's favorite chili with steak and Borskin cheese. Both of which I have only ever found at Costco. I have only shopped on Costco's website a couple of times before but it is really easy to navigate. While I was shopping, I noticed they are still selling coffins and urns which I think is cool but weird.

I found that probiotics are listed in almost every category of Health and Beauty which should tell you how important it is. I found 4X Pro-B by using the easy search bar at the top of the screen. A 9 week supply was only a little over $21! Considering that a 30 day supply of the vitamins I buy was almost $11, I think that is super good. Paul the Male Matchmaker on Hulu.com!

I recently told you about a new show on Hulu.com, Paul the Male Matchmaker. Every episode I watch, it gets more ridiculous and by that, I mean hilarious. If you have not seen this show, I recommend you do so immediately. I cannot believe more women have not slapped Paul like I wrote about the first time I mentioned the show. That is not the funniest thing that has happened, not by a long shot. If you haven't seen it, Paul inherited a matchmaking service from his Aunt and he is trying to make a go of it with his rich wife's money. He pretty much says everything that men think women should hear, like "Its never too early to have sex" and "Talking is annoying and apologize as much as possible". I mean I am sure all men don't think like that but its kinda of stereotypical of men and women.

I think my favorite episode so far is Episode 5. Because women aren't seeming to like his matchmaking techniques, he enlists the help of several self-help gurus like John Gray, Patti Stanger, and Sherri Schneider. He is so funny because they are all basically shaking their head at how naive and crazy he is. The things he says to them are hilarious though.

Starting My Journey with the Nutrisystem Nation #NSNation

I have written many times about my weight and how I wish I could fit in certain clothes and have energy again. I am not going to just write about it anymore. I am taking action. I have decided that I need to get fit in order to stay well. I have been sick for weeks now probably due to the fact that Baby E is sick again. He has RSV and bronchiolitis. I want to be able to run after him and not get winded. I want to play a whole period of basketball with Little M and not feel like I am going to die. The only way I am ever going to feel healthy again is to lose a ton of weight.

So I am excited to say that I am a part of the Nutrisystem Nation now! That means I get to take all of you along with me on my ride to better health and a better body! I will be posting updates each week on my weightloss and how I am doing on the program. I am trying to lose at least 30lbs and two dress sizes. My husband is also on the program. He loved doing his shoppoertunity so much, now he finally appreciates what I do as a blogger and wants to join me. He says that he needs to lose 40lbs. I think he looks great but he doesn't and that is what matters.

I was going to post pictures of us before we start but I think I will wait for my next post for that. I gotta save something so you can come back and see how much weight I have gained recently. We have chosen our foods and signed up in the community (which is awesome). I will post again when we receive our first shipemnts of food. I am so excited! Letter Sounds with Rock N Learn DVD Review

I recently had the chance to review a great learning DVD for Baby E. I got it even though he is a bit young because in my opinion, children are never too young to start learning if its fun. Rock 'N Learn Letter Sounds DVD is a great teaching tool! Baby E loved it! He jumped around and tried to touch the screen. He even sounded out some of the words which is awesome! I am really surprised it kept his attention because he is not a TV baby. He usually cant sit still long enough to even care about the television.

My older son, Little M, even liked it. Though at 9he should be too old for that kind of stuff. He danced around with Baby E and called out the letters and sounds. I really like the DVD because I think my son can learn and grow with it. I like how it progresses from the alphabet to slightly harder letter sounds and letter recognition. It's also very colorful and engaging. Baby E was literally glued to the screen. He almost didn't know what to do. Now when he wants to watch it, he will get the DVD case and bring it to me and he will pitch a fit if I don't put it in.

PMD - Home Microderm Abrasion Device Review

I was recently sent a PMD - Home Microderm Abrasion Device to try out and I cannot stop raving about it. I have never had bad skin really. As a teenager, I was lucky enough to never have breakouts despite living on Mountain Dew and Taco Bell. However, my luck ran out when I turned 19 or maybe 20. I started having oily patches on my nose and forehead but my cheeks and chin were so dry they were peeling. I tried a few products and they mostly just broke me out. I have mentioned before I have terribly sensitive skin. I got a little older and it got better but I still have breakouts often.

The PMD MicroDerm System includes 1 personal microderm, 5 exfoliating discs (2 green and 3 blue), 1 electric cord (Standard U.S. Outlet), 1 facial cap, 1 body cap, 1 reusable filter, Instructional CD and Pamphlet.

I got everything all laid out perfect the first time I was going to use it. I watched the instructional CD which I highly recommend everyone since it has some really useful information. Then I washed my face with a very gentle cleanser. I tried the product out first on my hand and I thought I had a good pattern down. Then, I got started on my face and only did one pass across each area and did not let it linger. Because of the fact that I have such sensitive skin, I still had a red face for a day or two in some spots. I probably let it linger too long or it could be that I haven't worn makeup in awhile or used any products on my skin. Having a sick kid has caused me to not even wash my face much less apply products to it.

After the redness went away, my face felt beautiful. I made sure to use a gentle toner and moisturizer after the application. I also made sure to wear sunblock for a couple of days after using it. The second time I used it everything went fine and my skin has never felt so nice. I tried the the larger exfoliating disc on my chest where I often have breakouts and it has helped clear it up. I have only used it once on my chest but I have the feeling that it is going to be the best thing that ever happened to my skin! I could totally feel the difference even after the first application. I have already had three friends offer to buy the PMD from me for $250 even though it is only $180 online so they wouldn't have to pay the super high prices at the spa. I am keeping it though because I like how my skin feels after using it! I like knowing my skin is healthy and I can keep it looking young. It is so incredibly worth the money especially if you usually pay the outrageous spa prices.

Paul the Male Matchmaker

Hulu has a new show named Paul the Male Matchmaker. I have to tell you that I thought the first episode was super silly. I wanted to be offended but it was too funny. Paul inherited a matchmaking company from his Aunt Cathy and while he is 'happily' married to a rich woman, he wanted to give the company a go. He is so honest with the women he is trying to help. In fact, he is too honest. In the first episode, he gets slugged by one woman which I laughed so hard at. In Season 1 Episode 3, Jillian who is played by Lisa Edelstein (who I adore from her time on House) seeks out Paul’s advice on how to get back into the dating world after being in a 4 year relationship with her ex-boyfriend. In this episode Jillian gets matched up with a ‘dummy’ for a date. I can see where he is going with this. I fully believe that all my exes were dummies and myself for dating them. I had an ex that every time I wore makeup, he would tell me how lovely I was and maybe I should wear makeup everyday. This is why I love my husband because he hates when I wear makeup. He says I prettier without it. Paul is so funny though in the fresh way he thinks about setting people up. I cannot stop laughing at each episode.

Someone out there must have heard about my grandmother and I searching for an hour for a oatmeal cake recipe my late aunt used to make. We searched forever! Cook'N Recipe Organizer is an all-in-one program that is designed to help you find recipes easily and quickly. It is also fun and easy to use. You can store recipes found online, you can create a shopping list. You can even look up the nutritional values of your recipes! One of the fun things about it is that you can use tons of different themes for your recipes like this one that I found for Deep Fried Cheese. I like my recipes to have some flair to them so I tried out all the different themes I could.

I am terribly unlucky when it comes to genetics. Every bad thing I could have inherited from my parents, I have. I have worn glasses since 4th grade, I had thick but wispy red hair, I have toes that are probably going to turn in like my moms, brittle nails, and fair weather skin. The worst thing I have inherited though is my back pain. Years before I found out that I have scoliosis, I have had the worst back pain especially during my time of the month. Its almost debilitating when it gets really bad. I have tried hot compresses, back pads, heating pads, ice packs, etc. They do help but not for very long and I cant keep warming up my heating pad or applying product all day.

I am sure everyone is tired of me talking about my on-going quest to be more natural and healthy. I try to get cleaning products and food that is mostly natural.
