Cookies are everyones favorite and you can't deny the fact that they come in handy when it comes to partying around, it can be a birthday party, a festive season or just a occasional snack or a winter charm. You can't really deny the flavors and chewiness of cookies dipped in milk ready to be eaten, in short heavenly feelings of eating cookies. :D Today we have the green chocolate chip cookies especially out of the oven for the St Patricks day. Now you can definitely get your guests excited because there is nothing better than a freshly baked batch of cookies besides they are best bait for a leprechaun hunt. :D Okay lets get started ! 

Ingredients You'll Need

• Flour(2-3/4 cups)
  
• Baking powder(1/2 tbsp)
  
• Baking soda(1 tbsp)
  
• Butter(1 cup)
  
• Granulated sugar(1-1/2 cups)
  
• 2 eggs,
  
• Vanilla extract(1 tbsp)
  
• Chocolate chips and food coloring(5 drops)
  

Steps

1. Mix butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Now to this mix add eggs, vanilla extract, green food color and chocolate chips. 
2. Now in a separate bowl mix flour, baking soda and baking powder and add this mix to your previously created mix and mix them thoroughly to prepare dough.
3. Now add small scoops of dough on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake the cookies for 10mins at 375°F , allow them to cool down completely before serving.

On 5th January we celebrate the Birds day, the day devoted toward our little birdie friends. The day showcases various celebrations and awareness programs to protect the birds from trade and captivity. The holiday comes as a day to celebrate especially among the pet owners. In schools and gardens people are taught in public the importance of birds and how human civilization has affected them so much that in a century from now they might become an extinct species. Basically a awareness program for those who don't know much about birds and a day to celebrate among bird owners, bird watchers and photographers. Today we shall see how to celebrate the National Bird Day and few activities related to the day like bird day recipes, games, explorations, photography and more.

1. Before we start a message that needs to be understand is that " Birds and free spirits and so are we" so forget about caging them or keeping them as pets if you thought they did be good pets. Pet birds require 2 times more attention then our feline friends and highly delicate and restricting them from their natural habitat will only cause them problems.
   
2. Make your houses and surroundings bird friendly by avoiding reflective and illusion free surfaces like windows which you can do by using curtains or cable wire curtains or anything that reduced the illusion to protect bird hits. Also keep your surrounding clean of unnecessary things like chewing gum which can affect birds. 
3. Host a bird day party for your pets and kids with games consisting of quiz, puzzles, drawings etc related to birds. You can also think about having a trip to a zoo or museum. Schools can arrange a bird education programs for kids to become aware about the issues they face.
4. Most of all Spread awareness through placards, posters, blogs, photography, t-shirts or just hang a bird house with a bird cake in your garden to inspire fellow neighbours and to attract local birds to your arranged feeds.
