GEOFF DUNCAN DEMONSTRATES $51,375 ADVANTAGE IN NET CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED OVER POLITICAL INSIDER TOM KNOX.

CUMMING, Ga. – Geoff Duncan has demonstrated a $51,375 fundraising advantage in the race for State House in District 26. According to reports filed with the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission last week, Duncan has received $88,500 in net contributions, an amount that dwarfs the $37,125 raised by his opponent and political insider, Tom Knox.

The contributions are comprised of contributions from dozens of donors and a personal financial commitment from Geoff Duncan.

“The strong support we have received during our campaign for State House has been overwhelming,” said Duncan. “I am proud to share the conservative values that make this district great,” he continued.

“Our campaign is devoted to the principles of eliminating taxes, reducing government spending and helping businesses and families succeed,” said Duncan. “Voters appreciate my commitment to these principles, which is why they have so selflessly given of their time and financial resources to our campaign,” he continued.

Entering the race nearly one month after his opponent, Duncan has not raised any money from political action committees, incumbent legislators or lobbyists.

“Despite facing a heavily entrenched career politician and trial attorney backed by powerful special interests, our campaign finished 2011 with the momentum necessary to achieve victory in 2012,” said Duncan.

More than 90 percent of Knox’s contributions represent well-funded special interests, insurance companies, trial attorneys and political insiders.

“My opponent has sought the financial support of political insiders,” said Duncan. “I have sought the financial support of conservative voters, taxpayers, businesses and families.”

“I am energized and proud that during that our campaign continues to be focused on earning and demonstrating grassroots support,” continued Duncan.

Demonstrates Significant Grassroots Edge in State House Campaign

CUMMING, Ga. – Yesterday, Geoff Duncan for State House announced that its year-end financial disclosure statement reflects nearly $25,000 in net receipts comprised of contributions from dozens of donors and a personal financial commitment from Geoff Duncan.

Duncan’s clear advantage is even more pronounced considering he entered the race nearly one month later than his opponent.

“Having launched my campaign less than two months ago, I am energized and overwhelmed by the support our common sense, conservative message has received from voters across the district and state,” stated Duncan.

“Despite facing a heavily entrenched career politician and trial attorney backed by powerful special interests, our campaign finished 2011 with the momentum necessary to achieve victory in 2012,” continued Duncan.

“With more than two-thirds of his contributions coming from well-funded special interests, insurance companies and trial attorneys, I think my opponent has made it clear who he plans to serve if elected to the General Assembly.”

“I am energized and proud that during this initial reporting period, 100 percent of my contributions came from individuals,” said Duncan. “From day one, our campaign has been focused on earning and demonstrating grassroots support and we are accomplishing that mission.”

“Our team is committed to running a fiscally responsible campaign focused on the issues that matter most to Georgians,” continued Duncan. “Our initial fundraising success puts our campaign on schedule to raise every dollar necessary to guarantee our message reaches every voter in the district.”
