Continued from Going to the Beach Part 2

After we peeked at the ocean we got settled while we waited for the Typist's father and brother to arrive.

I picked the bed next to the window for me and my pets. I think the bed is big enough for all of us.

Then I got to meet the Typist's Father. My cat Sanjee calls him Grampa. He is HUGE! I am 3 inches tall and he is about eleventy inches tall! (Typist's Note: 6'5" which is very nearly eleventy inches.)

I got to meet the Typist's brother too. Sanjee calls him Uncle Roman. He is not as huge as Grampa but he is pretty big compared to me.

After we said hi and put the clothes in the closet and stuff, we went and sat on the balcony for a while. It is very high up.

Then we finally got to go take a walk on the beach! I like the feel of the sand on my webby feet. It is a little difficult to waddle in though.

We looked around for some shells for Uncle Roman to take home. I found a black one for him.

After a while I got tired and hopped back up in the front pocket of the Typist's fanny pack to ride and look at the ocean.

Then something Very Bad happened. I fell out of the fanny pack pocket and the Typist was walking away.

I am very sad that my friend @PepiSmartDog went to the Rainbow Bridge last night. I am not ashamed to say I cried.

I am helping my cat Sanjee with a Pepi memorial page and will be photographer for the special #PepiTruck ride this afternoon.

Continued from Going to the Beach Part 1

So me and the Typist were on our way to the beach! How exciting!

There were some funny signs and some signs that made us think of our friends. This one made me think of Miles Meezer who loves ham so much.

We stopped at a place called Neuse Sports Shop. I thought that was a little weird since neither of us is into sports. But the Typist said that when she went to the beach as a little Typist, they always stopped there. It had lots of nifty stuff that didn't have anything to do with sports.

There were seagulls outside the shop! One let me ride on his back! He was a little stiff, but it was fun.

The closer we got to the beach, the flatter it got. I never saw such a flat place. Pretty, but flat.

I got very excited when we finally got to where we could see water. This is the bridge going over the Intercoastal Waterway to Emerald Isle. That sounds like a very exotic place to go.

We finally made it to the beach on Emerald Isle! WOW the beach is pretty. There is lots of sand but no poop in it that I saw. And the water was pretty aqua and blue. I love the beach!

I was very excited because I was going with the Typist to the Beach. I had never seen an ocean before. So I packed my bag and got in the car.

It was a little early in the morning. I did not want the Typist to fall asleep at the wheel. So I had her stop and let me buy her a biscuit and an iced tea.

I had a hard time finding the right straws. The first ones were too tiny. The typist would have died of thirst. But I finally found the right straws.

And I got her a biscuit. She got one tiny bite of sausage. I helpfully ate the rest so it would not hurt her tummy. I prefer sausage over bread most any day, so she ate the rest of the biscuit.

Then we were on our way to the beach!

I'm off to the beach with the Typist. Her Mom will be here looking after the kitties. But I get to go to the beach. Yippee! I've never seen the ocean before, so I am excited. This is good because I've been very sad I can't go to #chickfest this weekend.

Making Jewelry With The Typist Part 2

Making jewelry With The Typist is complicated, so I have to show you in two posts. This is the second post. The first one is over here from yesterday. I like making jewelry though. It is fun.

After the Secret Squirrel Marks had been made, then I started bending the wire. It is a little stiff.

Then I trussed it up and started putting the cool stone that kind-of-matches-my-bill in the setting.

I got it going finally. I just had to rassle with that wire some.

See? It's turning into something now. I am getting excited here.

The Typist said I mustn't forget to put a bail on it. If I forgot, it would have to be attached with superglue or staples to be worn, and that sounds very uncomfortable.

Ta da! My first ever pendant! I had fun making it! Do you want to buy it? Maybe someone will if I ask the Typist to put it on her jewelry site.

Making Jewelry With The Typist

I like to try new things. I thought I would try making jewelry with the Typist. She is not only a Typist, she is also a Jewelry Artist. So I knew she could help me.

First we had to get the tools together. The Typist allowed me to use her nice pliers.

Then I had to pick a stone. I got to raid the Typist's special secret stash!

I chose a pretty one that matches my bill! The Typist told me that it is Baltic Amber.

The we had to get the wire. The wire is very skinny. This is a good thing or I would never be able to rassle it into a jewelry shape. Can you imagine me rassling a rebar???

This skinny wire is a special type of sterling silver called Argentium. That means it will not tarnish and it does not have nickels in it. Dimes either, I think. I had to cut it very carefully.

Once the wires were cut the right size, I had to tape them together. The tape got a little bit wild on me.

Once I had the tape safely on the wires, I had to mark it so I would know where to add more wire and bend it and stuff. The Typist let me use her Secret Squirrel Marking Formula. That was very nice of her.

Then I had to take a break. Making jewelry is complicated and tiring.

Going to the library

The Typist needed to return some books to the library and get more.

So I rode with her for an adventure. I had never been to a library before.

As usual, the doors were too heavy for me to open. Why do they make such heavy doors?

I suggested this book to her and she got it! I must make good suggestions. *proud*

I played hide and seek in the books. I bet you cannot see me here!

Before long it was time to check out. I helped the Typist with her library card.

Then I helped make sure she scanned the books properly.

(This guy looks creepy, doesn't he?)

When we were all finished, I got the receipt for her and we went home.

I think I like the library. It is quiet and there are lots of places to play hide and seek.

I must have had too many of my special ducktinis. I do NOT remember doing this dance with
@Herbie_Cat, @kittehboi, @HellaHedgie and @SamthePoodle. And @SirFudgeEsq turned that vid in to nominate us for entertainment for #chickfest! Now I hear somehow I'm on the Chippenducks calendar as Mr. July! Oh my. I must cut back on the ducktinis for sure.

Keeping the typist

I decided to keep the typist. It's too hard to break a new one in. So I took her to the Ducktor. Seems she has a problem with "Sir Ull" as Sanjee keeps calling it. The ducktor called it an ulcer, though. So I had to get her a bunch of pills and stuff. Who knew that chalk pills and chalk syrup could be so expensive?

I'm not sure I can afford this typist. I may need to get a new one after all. I'll check E-bay and Craigslist if I have to do that.

I must be more awesome than I even suspected, because now my friend @CaplinROUS has tagged me as well as Rumblebum did before, to share 7 awesome things about myself. He said I am Itt. I asked if I could be Uncle Fester for a change. QOL

Sanjee said I have to do this one on my own. I thought of trying to bribe Pepi, but he's getting over his asthma so not this time. I think I will be immune after this time.

Why I Am Awesome *blush*

1. I have my own graphics blog. I bet only awesome stuffed catnip ducks have a graphics blog.

2. I have six cats. If I were a lady, I would qualify as a crazy cat lady. Isn't it awesome for a stuffed duck to have six cats? I think it is!

3. I am awesome for answering weird questions politely.

(For my friends who look out for me, this was funny, and she apologize for saying it funny.)

4. I am awesome because I am the reason for the phrase "just ducky." That's what @JinJinDoggy said, anyway. I also blush well.

5. I have faboo shades and that is awesome.

6. I know @CaplinROUS who tagged me for this meme. That means I know a capybara. For a small stuffed duck in Furginia, I think that is pretty awesome.

7. I have peeps in all corners of the world. Well, if it had corners I would. I know cats and dogs and bunnies and teddybears and humans all over the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Austria, Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Egypt, and other places and that is pretty darned awesome.

Trip to B&N for coffee

The typist always likes to go to Barnes & Noble to look at books and get coffee. And get books, she likes to get books too. She get more coffee than books, though, because coffee is less expensive. Plus they do not have a library where you can check out coffee.

This time I went with her to B&N. I went google-eyed reading all the rules. There were too many rules, so I did not get any books.

But the panini sandwiches at the cafe looked very tasty. However, the typist says every one she's ever had tasted like plastic. Plastic does not sound very appealing, so no plast-anini for me today either.

How about a biscotti? Hmmms. Nothing in there floats my boat. Though they're hard enough to make good clubs for someone my size. Nevermind.

Just an iced coffee thanks. Half of one. I have a delicate ducky stomach.

I need half and half. This thing is awfully heavy, though.

Ah, here we go. I got by with a little help from a friend. A nice creamy will-not-bother-sensitive-ducky-tummy iced coffee drink. Yum.

Meet Mini-mini

I have pets. Two dogs, Radish and Boomer. And 5 cats that I live with, the Hotties are sort of mine. Well, mine and the typists and the typist's Mom's.

I've never had a cat -- or any pet for that matter -- smaller than me, though. So I am excited to have adopted a new kitty named Mini-mini.

She reminds me of my big Mini.

She fits in perfect at the House of the (Mostly) Black Cats too.

I think Mini-mini and I will have a lot of fun. She can ride with me in the fanny pack and join in some adventures too.

Ham for Sanjee

My cat Sanjee likes ham. So when I went to the grocery store with the typist, I wanted to get Sanjee some ham. I didn't know there were so many kinds of ham!

Some kinds of ham are very dangerous, I found out.

But there are always other kinds to try. I wasn't sure what kind Sanjee would like best.

Definitely not this sneaky and dangerous one, I hope!

The typist took pity on me and helped me up and away from the dangerous ham.

I decided to let the typist pick out Sanjee's ham. None of the hams threw her off or leapt on her in the aisle. Of course, the she does weight about 500 lbs more than me.

I should have let her choose the ham to begin with.

You have no idea how dirty it is inside the typist's fanny pack where I ride. I think she stores dirt in there in case she needs to bury someone quickly.

So I got dirty. I needed a bath.

I got the bubble bath ready.

I inspected the sink. It's almost as dirty as the inside of the fanny pack. The typist swears it's clean, just "stained" and has a pattern. Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Maybe she was right; I got clean in the bubble bath.

I got to do the backstroke too.

When I got out of the bath, the typist helped me floof up my feathers. Ta da! I felt much better.

I think I like taking a bubble bath. I don't even have to wear my lifevest in there.

I had a lot of fun being the Official Photographer for @henryandfriends Teddybear Picnic this past weekend. I was very honored that Henry asked, as I had never been official photographer before. I hope I did ok.
