Well I was doing some hair tests with shave and a haircut and 3delight, and I decided to share one of them with you, he looks weird without the eyebrows but I´m liking the overall feeling right now, remember this is not a final version of the hair, and I will need to consider further if I will make his hair white. As always let me know what you think! ;)

Hi there, I did some changes to the head, feels more slim now, since it was a little bloated :P, and made some adjustments to the sss shader, kinda feels more fleshy now, btw I think I need to make the eyes smaller since he now looks like a pug! let me know what you think! ;)

Hi there, I ask my lovely girlfriend Angela Pauly to do a paintover of the ¨Jinro¨ character as well, trying to find a suitable clothing / equipment for the guy!. She came up with this, and to be honest with you, I love it! Let me know what you think? ;)

Hi all!

These is a character I´m doing on my free time, it is based on my friend´s Felipe Cartin concept art about an kinda old match in Starcraft 2 between Pro-Players Jinro and Idra.
The main idea was to make a bust of him, but now it´s taking another direction, still trying to maintain the main features though, and maybe I´m going for the whole body as well.

Feel free to critique and comment!. Thanks.

Concept by Felipe Cartin

Head Sculpt in Zbrush.

First subsurface scattering test in Vray for Maya with Vraysss2.

Paintover in photoshop for art direction.

Eyes test with a better illumination.

Hi there!

My name is Gerardo Valerio, I´m a Character/Creature Artist with a CG Generalist background. I worked in everything between Cinematics to Advertising and a great part of my knowledge comes from my experience working at MarteStudio, these guys really know their craft. Kudos!

I really love what I do for a living and enjoy learning new things from talented people and friends and my daily basis experience in this art, I really hope to expand my horizons soon, and begin to work in a great company such as ILM, MPC, Blizzard or Blur, just too mention a few of the places that change the Industry landscape every time they launch something. anyway here it´s my blog and I hope you enjoy the ride with me, meanwhile please feel free to comment or critique my works. Thank You!.
