1.Disk Cleanup :

Click on the Start Menu and in Search tab type Disk Cleanup and click enter and select the drive for removing the unwanted files ,this will free up the space on your hard drive which will boost the speed of your System.

It is recommended to run the Disk Cleanup every 15 days.

2.Disk Defragmenter :

This is yet another tool that comes preinstalled with Windows. Over a period of time the data on hard drive get fragmented which makes your hard drive to do extra work ,hence slowing your computer.That is why it is important to run Disk Defragmenter tool whenever your hard drive gets fragmented more than 10%.
