At the bottom of a Video-on-Demand movie was this: “Your Amazon Prime membership now includes unlimited, commercial-free, instant streaming of 5,000 movies and TV shows at no additional cost.” This sounds like a pretty good deal, since an Amazon Prime membership is $79 per year, while the same period on Netflix Watch Instantly will run you $95.88.</P><P>But don’t get excited about being able to switch over just yet, since the mysterious message has since disappeared from the Amazon site. The Watch Instantly service has certainly attracted more customers to Netflix, which saw its membership increase by 7.7 million last year, and a third of new subscribers are choosing the streaming-only option for $7.99 per month.</P><P>The market looks prime for a competitor, and Amazon seems to have what it takes to deliver. Or shop online and get free engraving and fast, free shipping.”</P><br /><P>So Apple is trying to sell you an iPad now to give as a gift in two weeks. Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities sees a faster, more powerful iPad with a dual core processor and more Ram. Kuo states: “iPad 2 will use [ARM] Cortex-A9 dual core processor running at 1.2GHz. Increasing 1~2% single core processor clock results in a 3~5% power increase and dual core could get a better balance between computing power and power consumption. That’s the reason why Apple will use dual core for iPad 2.” The report adds: “iPad 2 will also have a GPU using Imagination’s SGX543 dual core graphics technology which is 200~300% powerful than iPhone 4.”</P><br /><P>The iPad 2 will also get a boost in RAM: “For making full use of GPU upgrading advantage, iPad 2 needs bigger memory bandwidth.
