Not satisfied with underhandedly ramming unconstitutional ObamaCare through Congress under the cover of darkness without an official vote, Barack Hussein Obama just bestowed amnesty on millions of illegal aliens! Not by representative legislation, as required by the U.S. Constitution: Amnesty by dictate, like a third-world tyrant!

Forget Congress! Never mind the will of the people! Throw the U.S. Constitution out the White House window!

The megalomaniac in the Oval Office spoke amnesty into reality by merely telling his subordinates to announce they no longer are going to enforce America's immigration laws.

Arrogantly elevating himself shockingly far above the law, 0 is quickly transforming the United States of America into a socialist state by hook AND crook. And few Americans have an inkling of just how tyrannical 0's clandestine deceit has become since last November's election significantly diminished his Congressional power.

This would-be dictator now brazenly rules by fiat, through official and unofficial Executive Orders and Secretarial Orders, as if personally feeding the U.S. Constitution -- article by article, amendment by amendment -- into a document shredder. He is a frighteningly dangerous despot-in-the-making who must be stopped!

0 brazenly confessed to a meeting of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus how he recently told Hispanic group La Raza that when it comes to illegal immigration, "There are times where -- until Nancy Pelosi is speaker again -- I'd like to work my way around Congress. ... I wish I had a magic wand and could make this all happen on my own."

Well -- POOF!!! -- that's precisely what he did! Bypassing the U.S. Senate and U.S. House, as well as the U.S. Constitution, he personally proclaimed amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

At the time, 0 bragged about his underhanded scheme: "We've got laws on the books that have to be upheld. ... How we enforce the laws is also important," he said, slyly alluding to his major change of ordering a halt to immigration law enforcement.

So, Barack, how do you bestow amnesty? Simple. You, as would-be dictator-in-chief, merely order your regime not to initiate deportation proceedings against illegal immigrants. Period.

Thus 0 indeed worked his way around Congress. And -- so far -- nobody is doing anything about it!

If George W. Bush had doubled the national debt -- which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate -- in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had criticized a state law that he admitted he never even read, would you think that he is just an ignorant hot head?

If George W. Bush joined the country of Mexico and sued a state in the United States to force that state to continue to allow illegal immigration, would you question his patriotism and wonder who's side he was on?

If George W. Bush had pronounced the Marine Corps like Marine Corpse would you think him an idiot?

If George W. Bush had put 87,000 workers out of work by arbitrarily placing a moratorium on offshore oil drilling on companies that have one of the best safety records of any industry because one company had an accident would you have agreed?

Obama + Constitution = 0, zero, nothing, nada

Some ask why I call Barack Hussein Obama "Mr. 0" in this blog. First, it's not O, the uppercase of o. It's 0 as in the number that follows 9 on your keyboard.

Which then raises the question: "Why are you calling him 'Mr. Zero?'"

Several reasons. First of all, I just don't like typing (or hearing or speaking or seeing or thinking, etc.) his name. And I've lived long enough to remember America's arch enemy Nikita Kruschev. You know, that bullet-headed meanie who pounded his shoe at the U.N. and promised America "We will bury you!" I wasn't the only one then who didn't like his name, and America pretty much called the Soviet dictator "Mr. K."

And I'd rather use "Mr. 0" than other longer synonyms, like "treasonous tyrant" or "Marxist dictator" or, well, you get the idea.

But the real reason is this: When America finally realizes Mr. 0 isn't constitutionally qualified to be the President of the United States, everything this treasonous tyrant (oops!) committed in the Oval Office will be reduced to zero! And that thought makes me smile.

I look forward to that day. Somehow, though, even if Mr. 0 doesn't produce an authentic forgery of his missing long-form birth certificate, needed for him to be declared a natural born citizen and have the p in president properly capitalized (note that many break style rules and don't capitalize for this very reason), the Dems and their media lackeys will find it in their heart to overlook this premeditated fraud. After all, they'll say, he didn't know of the U.S. Constitution's qualifications, even though his resume says Mr. 0 is a Constitutional scholar. They'll ask us if everything on OUR resumes is truthful, and we'll look sheepish.

And then, after the race card, they'll play their trump card: "To err is human; to forgive, divine." They'll ask all us bitter Bible-huggers to do what's right and turn the other cheek -- and let Mr. 0 ruin the land we love for another four years.

That'll come with a satisfaction guarantee like that of the trashmen in the cartoon stripe "Hi and Lois." Visible in the grime on their filthy truck are the words Dems live by: "Your satisfaction guaranteed -- or double your trash back!"

And I wonder how many of us right-minded Americans will want to wade through the blood and carnage necessary to successfully oust Mr. 0 as the usurper he in truth is.

Brrr and grrr! Global warming caused my flat tire

If it wasn't for the premeditated harm being perpetrated on the U.S., the "sky is falling" crowd would be downright laughable, what with Algore busy blaming global warming for spawning that monstrous snowstorm that recently buried much of America.

Ernest Istook, a former Republican congressman from Oklahoma, poked fun at Al, writing in Politico: “If you lose your job, blame global warming. If your boyfriend bugs out, blame global warming. If your kids set the house on fire, blame global warming. If the cashier gives you the wrong change, blame global warming.”

Then Istook turned serious: “It’s nothing new for Al Gore to claim that global warming (or should we call it global cremation?) is causing cold weather instead of hot. He already admitted that he was wrong to tout ethanol, but did it for political purposes. His latest comments are just as consistent.”

Conservatives in the U.S. House aren't laughing. They decided to do something about it last Thursday, approving an amendment to a government-spending bill that would block funding for the Obama administration’s so-called "czars.” You know, Mr. 0's hand-picked advisers who answer neither to Congress nor the American people, only to the dictator in chief. The amendment specifically targets the “climate czar” by blocking funding for energy and climate change. The move would unfund the czars through the end of the fiscal year.

Said Rep. Steve Scalise, who authored the amendment: "I think this sends a strong signal to the president that we are tired of him running this shadow government, where they have got these czars that are literally circumventing the accountability and scrutiny that goes with Senate confirmation. We are going to save millions of taxpayer dollars, but we are also going to send him a signal that he is going to have to hold his administration accountable to the same transparency that he promised, but has unfortunately failed to deliver," Scalise said.

Not letting his miserable track record with Congress get him down, the plucky Mr. 0 is using his regime's agencies and the Clean Air Act to push through his global warming agenda anyway. In fact, the new year began with new carbon limits, and the Environmental Protection Agency is drawing up regulations that require companies to get permits to release greenhouse gases.

After all, who needs Congress, or the support of the American people for that matter, when you're a tyrannical dictator, right?

By the way, American Enterprise Institute scientist Ken Green recently told Fox Mr. 0's new regulations are "job killers," that "any kind of regulation is a weight on economy." ... "It requires people to comply with the law, which takes work hours and time, which reduces the profitability of firms. Therefore, they grow more slowly, and you create less jobs."

Mr. 0, of course, is pleased: It's a lose-lose situation for capitalism that has communists everywhere applauding him.

The Scalise amendment, which must clear the Dem-controlled Senate, would also prohibit funding for the director of the White House Office of Health Reform; the State Department’s special envoy for climate change; the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the Council on Environmental Quality; the senior adviser to the secretary of the treasury assigned to the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry and senior counselor for manufacturing policy; the White House director of urban affairs; the special envoy to oversee the closure of Guantanamo Bay; the special master for TARP executive compensation at the Department of the Treasury; and the associate general counsel and chief diversity officer at the Federal Communications Commission.

Astonishing number of citizens not buying 0's story

"Politico's" spin on a recent poll brings to mind that old joke about how Soviet mouthpiece "Pravda" reported a two-man footrace: "Russian 2nd, American next to last"?

Straight up, the new poll shows only three in 10 Republicans believe Barack Hussein Obama was born in the United States! That's astounding, considering the media blackout on the issue. But blatantly biased "Politico" reported it this way: "A 51 percent majority of national GOP primary voters erroneously think President Obama was not born in the U.S.; 28 percent know that he was."

Of course, "Politico" had no choice. It would just be too alarming to Dems to honestly report that Public Policy Polling, a left-leaning firm at that, found only 28 percent of Republicans surveyed believe Obama was born in the U.S., while 51 percent do not and another 21 percent say they aren't sure.

You see, the donkeys just knew the "birther" issue would have dried up and blown away by now.

MSNBC "Hardball" host Chris Matthews is among those perplexed by the stunning poll that underscores the growing tide of those questioning Mr. 0's eligibility to rightly continue to serve as President. Especially after Mr. 0 spent more than $1.6 million on hiding all of his records from we the people.

But isn't it hard to believe their surprise is real, not feined? After all, one poll after another since Mr. 0 took office have shown Americans are increasingly skeptical over the supposed story of his birth. In fact, a World Net Daily/Wenzel poll last May revealed 55 percent of Americans -- not just Republicans -- wanted him to release all records relating to his childhood and his education, including "college records, Harvard Law School papers, passport records, travel records, and other similar documentation."

If shocked today, Dems should have gone off like sklyrockets over the fact that, when asked last May what should be done if Mr. 0 is found to be constitutionally unqualified to be President, the poll revealed "59 percent said he should be removed from office, and 35 percent said all bills signed into law by Obama should be repealed. Those numbers have only mushroomed since then.

So spin it or ignore it all they want, this latest poll proves Mr. 0's stonewalling by refusing to answer questions or release ordinary background documentation -- let alone his extraordinary legal maneuvering to keep his background hidden -- is daily eroding America's confidence in him being constitutionally qualified to continue to serve as President. Think of it: Every other President's personal records are open to the public. That Mr. 0 refused to honor his oath of office to defend and uphold the U.S. Constitution is a dead giveaway.

The Constitution requires a President to be a "natural-born citizen," which is not the same as a "citizen." And Fritz Wenzel of Wenzel Strategies rightly warns: "Simply put, this question about Obama's legitimacy as president is undermining everything he does in the minds of millions of Americans."

As Dean Debnam, president of the pro-Dem PPP firm put it: "Any thought that the birther theory has been put to rest can be thrown out the window."

"McCarthyism" to fight home-grown killers

Al-Qaida now is actively recruiting home-grown killers within United States borders! That's the extremely ominous warning from Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King, who has set hearings in the U.S. House on the radicalization of American Muslims.

Because of increased security, it's "extremely difficult for them to attack us from outside," Rep. King said. So al-Qaida has switched to recruiting within U.S. borders! "They're taking people who are under the radar screen, who are not on any terrorist surveillance list at all, and they are recruiting them to fight against America," he said.

So how do you suppose they're going about it? Would they approach infidels -- such as Christians or Jews or even atheist liberals -- or seek out Muslims? Would al-Qaida buttonhole people on the street or, say, mosey up in a mosque?

Certainly mosques, where America's Muslims worship and socialize, would be a happy hunting ground.

And the most promising mosque? Why, the one about to be built at Ground Zero in New York City, so that its shadow daily will fall across the site of Islam's triumphant 9/11 strike. Yes, the one that's still scheduled despite the overwhelming objections of the American people. Maybe that's why our protests and petitions are being ignored, huh?

Mr. 0 naturally has been slow to acknowledge the urgency of the terror threat and take a hard line, Rep. King said, noting "it's sort of a schizophrenic administration."

"Schizophrenic." Rep. King said it; not me! Like in some government officials being against terrorism; others, pro?

Rep. King chided Mr. 0 for not being firm enough about the violent protests in Iran. "With Egypt, he was quick to pull the rug on President Hosni Mubarak," he said. "Yet with Iran, when the Iranians were so brutal to the demonstrators, putting down those demonstrations in 2009, the president was virtually silent."

What's more, a new Pentagon-funded study confirms al-Qaida is using the Internet, including Facebook and YouTube, to recruit potential new members right there in their U.S. homes. Poster boy for the home-grown terrorist theory, of course, is Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, an American-born Muslim who killed 13 in a 2009 shooting spree at Fort Hood.

As you might expect, Islamic leaders quickly expressed deep concern that King's hearings will be a witch hunt reminiscent of those by anti-communist crusader Sen. Joe McCarthy in the 1950s. And The New York Times (who else?) criticized the plan.

By the way, thanks to Sen. McCarthy, a massive communist infiltration of our government and society was exposed, narrowly averting a takeover. Bitter that the coup was foiled, sympathizers long have vilified the senator so that his name has become a dirty word -- "McCarthyism" -- to be invoked any time bad guys need to stop Congress from getting to the bottom of some treasonous plot. Like now. But recently released KGB records show the communist ploy was about to work, fully exonerating Joe. You can Google it up. Like the words rainbow and gay, the name McCarthy deserves to be redeemed, but I digress.

Rep. King's Homeland Security Committee hearings are legitimate because: "We have to find out who is being radicalized, how are they attempting to do it, how are they recruiting within the Muslim community and whether or not Muslim leaders are cooperating with law enforcement, what Muslim leaders are doing to find out who in their midst is being recruited and who is a potential danger to the United States," he said.

And isn't it alarmingly sad that right-minded Americans must overcome traitorous opposition and turncoat media to schedule such fact-finding hearings in order to expose this obvious threat. But what else would you expect from an administration run by an Islamist sympathizer whose middle name is Hussein?

When ObamaCare first called for end-of-life counseling -- a deceptive leap toward late-life rationing and "death panels" -- the outcry was so fervent that Congress dropped it from the law.

Nevertheless, end-of-life counseling is back in effect! Not by legislation, but because Mr. 0 says so!

That's right: Thumbing his nose at the overwhelming outpouring of opposition by the American people that gave rise to the Tea Party movement, the undocumented resident in the White House quietly ordered Medicare to issue a regulation for end-of-life counseling during participants' annual "wellness" meetings. What's more, Obama calculatingly hid his outrageous move amid the simultaneous release of hundreds of new Medicare rules, obviously hoping nobody would notice.

But he didn't sneak it past this blog! The RightSite.US knows Mr. 0 all too well to fall for his subterfuge!

Conservative congressmen say they are intent on repealing ObamaCare, but it won't matter what happens in the U.S. Senate. The autocrat in the Oval Office, you see, is busy circumventing Congress, as well as "we the people," with the abuse of executive privilege!

And ObamaCare death panels are only the beginning! Brace yourself for an onslaught of underhanded chicanery from the Obama regime, because whatever our tyrannical ruler cannot pass through Congress, his presidential pen and his federal henchmen will high-handedly accomplish!

Too many Americans have been fooled into thinking Mr. 0 will emulate Bill Clinton and move from the left to the center politically after his overwhelming rejection at the polls last November. He won't!

It's encouraging to see conservatives in control of the U.S. House, and that makes it easy to buy into Mr. 0's stated contention that "hand-to-hand combat" looms between conservatives and leftists in Congress.
However, these congressional skirmishes are merely distractions from the real battles that will determine the outcome of Obama's stealthy war against our constitutional republic.

You see, Mr. 0 has a sly plan already at work to negate the efforts of congressional conservatives. Rather than venture his un-American programs before an increasingly uncooperative Congress, this tyrant is quietly forcing his will on you and your family through executive actions and regime policy decisions, as if ruling by the divine right of kings.

Think of it: A leader with such an unethical lack of scruples doesn't need Congress to approve his ultra-liberal agenda. Like Caesar of old, Mr. 0 is imposing his will on America by decree.

Where, you ask, does he derive such dictatorial powers? Simple: Barack Hussein Obama exercises them "by the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution of the United States of America"...

... Except that the U.S. Constitution provides no such powers!

Article II of the Constitution delegates to the President only the powers to act as commander-in-chief of the military, to make treaties -- which must be approved by the Senate -- to grant pardons, appoint ambassadors, nominate Supreme Court Justices and, of course, give the State of the Union Address.

That's it. Anything else, by definition, isn't constitutional!

Unfortunately, too many Americans, including members of Congress, don't realize this truth. And unless someone points it out to the voting public, the authoritarian in the White House is going to get away with his unconstitutional subterfuge.

Before Mr. 0 hoodwinked the electorate, he either "fooled" election officials by claiming to be a natural-born citizen or bribed them to just accept his word! As a result, instead of the verification of a constitutionally qualified President calling the shots as Commander in Chief, we have an undocumented resident in our White House.

Fool me once, the old adage goes, shame on you. Fool me twice, however, shame on me -- because it's imperative we learn from our mistakes and not allow history to repeat itself!

Too bad, many say, that it's too late to do anything about Mr. 0. Except that it's not too late, especially if he wants a second term. You see, for the privilege to seek four more years to destroy America with his Marxist agenda, he should finally have to prove he indeed is eligible according to the Constitution's qualifications. And that's the intent of legislation put forth in the U.S. House of Representatives by Congressman Bill Posey.

This bill absolutely must pass, so please support Rep. Posey's vital effort that merely demands the Constitution's eligibility clause be enforced! Because if Mr. 0 fails to produce his long-form birth certificate, its absence will call into question the legitimacy of every piece of legislation and executive order he signed since initially taking office as "President."

Think of it: although Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution demands a candidate for President be a "natural-born citizen," nobody -- not Congress, not the states, not election officials -- bothered to check Mr. Obama's eligibility ...

... Except for Tim Adams. After serving as a Senior Elections Clerk in Honolulu, Adams knows for a fact there is no record of Barack Hussein Obama being born at any hospital in Hawaii. Adams is so insistent that he recently signed a sworn affidavit stating Obama's long-form birth certificate does not exist!

In fact, even now Hawaii's Democrat Governor, Neil Abercrombie, confesses he cannot locate a long-term birth certificate and thus prove Obama is a natural-born citizen!

A telltale analysis by the Congressional Research Service, an arm of Congress, proves the necessity of Rep. Posey's bill. The analysis openly admits no one in the federal government ever asked to see Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate. Why, you might ask? Because, according to the service, no one was required to do so.

Fitting definition of "nanny state" ...

Happy with the state of things in America? Thomas Jefferson pegged it from the start: "I predict future happiness for Americans," the founding father said, "if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

That "if" is a mighty big word, friends. Boldface and underline it!

I, for one, am unhappy because in recent years we the people haven't been very successful in preventing our government from "taking care" of us. Remember what Ronald Reagan said: "The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

Well, those now in control of our government want to help us out, whether we need it or not, by taking care of us in every way they can concoct -- and too many Americans gladly are letting them do just that.

Something must be done, hypocritical power-hungry liberals say, urging kneejerk action before proper analysis. And their answer? It's always the same: More and more government, dolling out or otherwise wasting more and more of your tax dollars.

Our once-great nation thus is rapidly becoming a "nanny state." And Rep. Michele Bachmann pointed out a fitting definition Tuesday.

The tea-party backed conservative, who nursed all five of her children, took issue with First Lady Michelle Obama for wanting the government to buy breast pumps so mothers can breastfeed their children and help avoid childhood obesity. "You want to talk about the nanny state," Rep. Bachmann said on The Laura Ingraham Show, "I think you just got a new definition."

Yes, Mr. Jefferson was right about the pursuit of happiness, not to mention life and liberty. I think he also was on target when he said: "That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves."

100% chance U.S. will suffer WMD attack!

Thought for today as Mr. 0 continues to coddle terrorists in the politically correct name of freedom of religion: According to an FBI expert, the probability is 100 percent that the United States will be attacked with a "weapon of mass destruction" -- either chemical, biological or radioactive -- by a proponent of the "religion of peace." This comes on the heels of Monday's warning of an electromagnetic pulse attack, raised by none other than former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, who insists: "We ought to be willing to say there are radical Islamists who are out to damage the nation state, to kill innocent human beings, and we ought not to allow them to do it."

Some say Mr. 0's middle name is a tipoff that he is an Islamist at heart. To me, what's in a name isn't nearly as important as telltale actions -- like ordering Voice of America to attack Iran's freedom fighters while treasonously backing Tehran's terroristic regime against ally Israel. Or selling out the United States by throwing President Hosni Mubarak under the bus to hand Egypt to the oldest and most evil terrorist group, the Muslim Brotherhood. Or just by cancelling the White House National Day of Prayer and supporting the Islamic celebration of Ramadan, then endorsing the Ground Zero Mosque, the proposed New Yotk City structure that -- in the eyes of the world -- will commemorate Islam's stunning 9-11 triumph over America's might. Scan the ever-lengthening list and ask yourself: How many of these were handled in any depth by mainstream media? You'd think at least some issues would be covered just so the smarter-than-you talking heads can ridicule those who dare question their man.

As impossible as it sounds, mainstream media gets more ridiculous each passing day. For instance, although Sen. Arlen Specter, long a RINO (Republican in name only), switched party allegiance Tuesday in an obvious move to get re-elected in PA, nightly news shows predictably reported he "had been driven out by the right-wing of the Republican Party, "by the GOP's "increasingly conservative tilt" and by "the fringe of the party." Talking heads openly celebrated, saying "the party has shifted very far to the right" and that "he's leaving the Republican party because the Republican party left him."

From their leftist slant, mainstream media sees conservaties as too far out, but Dems are smack dab in the center. Riiiiight!

Sean Hannity is absolutely correct when he said 2008 is the year journalism died. Something must be done to counter the leftist lean of mainstream media that confused voters into sending the United States headlong into socialism. And the first step is to alert the American public to this danger. If the morning rag or evening news won't tell the truth, we will.

This political epiphany comes via my daughter, a great example of the American dream as a working mother of three who pulled herself up by her bootstraps to become an admirable taxpaying citizen and, as a result, a staunch conservative:

"I recently asked my friend's little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, 'If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?'

She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.'

Her parents beamed.

'Wow! What a worthy goal,' I told her. 'But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.'

She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, 'Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?'

I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.'

Her parents still aren't speaking to me."

America's "watchdog" raiding henhouse ...

America’s watchdog is asleep! No, wait -– it’s far worse than that.

Instead of warily standing guard, our nation’s once-courageous watchdog traitorously is helping un-American foxes raid our henhouse.

Sean Hannity rightly states 2008 is the year journalism died, and there’s a growing realization across America that mainstream media unfairly tilted the election to Mr. Obama.

Right-minded Americans, sickened of partisan bias on TV screens and front pages, want something done. “Let’s take back the media,” people say -- but how?

Let me tell you. But this is a long post, from a email exchange with a Godly editor of a successful Florida newspaper, so please bear with me.

The good news is that newspapers are in trouble. They were before Democrats purposely panicked the economy.

It’s not punishment for bad liberal behavior, though. Printed news is passé in this IT era. Readership and influence are dropping due to that alone, decreasing paid subscriptions and impacting advertising revenues.

Many will continue to practice their not-so-stealthful bias with online news sites. But, having been caught stacking the deck for liberal causes, public confidence and trust is waning even more, making a turnabout very unlikely.

The bad news may be that remaining print readership, for the most part, doesn’t readily have access to the Internet’s conservative content for balance and therefore will be further misled in voting booths. But that need not be the fate for the press.

I believe there still is a spot for print news at all levels for at least another decade. Think of it: spill coffee on or drop your newspaper, and no real harm done. Not so with a laptop, which doesn't afford the same "do-not-disturb" barrier as an opened paper in front of your face.

Leave your paper behind, and you're out only a couple of quarters. It's far more portable and affordable as a news source, good for almost any setting or weather. Besides, screen captures of websites just aren't the same as banner-wide clippings for scrapbooks and framed wall displays.

I further believe any secular newspaper, whether small weekly or metro daily, will prosper IF done God's way. I know this for a fact: Of the people who would regularly read and subscribe to a good paper, a great majority welcome Godly content.

They may not realize that fact, because they’ve yet to experience it. But they’ll soon wonder how they got along without such content all these years.

I also know from personal experience that troubled community newspapers are success stories waiting to happen -- when the editor/publisher dares to ask "what would Jesus do" (WWJD).

The big rags? Well, they hire from resumes of successful applicants, don’t they? Christians with money-making track records definitely will be hired and, one by one, increasingly tilt the balance at big-time editorial meetings.

For that reason, my heart's desire is to help Christians be successful at lower levels so God can call them up to media's "head table."

A newspaper that actually asks WWJD is considered beyond reproach. God honors such daring obedience with a glow of respect, even among detractors. As trust and respect grow, so does readership, paid circulation and ad revenues.

It's true: Money talks, and even heathen owners will listen, grudgingly allowing more Godly content in return for a better bottom line.

A better nose for news, however, is the essence of this issue.

“News” is anything that impacts readers. Who has more actual impact -- a civic club luncheon speaker or a revival evangelist? Yet the best life-changing sermon I ever heard still didn’t make it onto the front page with a photo. Great things often happen at youth group meetings, but hardly ever does an article recognize and reinforce such importance.

Secular newspapers long have worked hard to banish Godly news and make church events seen unimportant to everyday reality. That must change.

I decided, if given the chance, this former sports editor would include the Lord’s news. God thus called me to leave corporate communications and rescue a series of weekly papers by emulating the editor from Charles Sheldon’s “In His Steps” and ask WWJD long before it became a fad.

My front pages typically offered an interesting mix of spot news, civic watchfulness and uplifting features that saluted good behavior. When a ministry or Christian entity did something exemplary, it not only made print, it usually went out front. Pointed evangelical content also had the play spot on the editorial page, and I usually had ad-backed church pages that offered more than routine notices.

While God gave me a graphic mindset for attractive layout and Page One photos, I was nothing special: Any Christian editor can succeed just as well.

Why? Because whom God calls, He enables and blesses.

What America thus needs is an increasing number of Christians prayerfully running their papers moment by moment according to God's will, summoning the obedient courage to let Him call each shot. Our prayer should be for Him to call more into community journalism.

I see how a national association could help. As editor, I sure could have used some encouragement and support in the industry.

That's not to say God's help wasn't enough; it sure was. But in blazing a trail with only a fictional editor as an example, I would have liked to know such things as how far to push the envelope before triggering legal action and where to turn if sued. Even today, what does an editor do when the ACLU threatens a school board or city council?

What's more, there's strength in numbers, because Jesus is there where two or more editors/reporters/publishers are gathered in His name. In addition, I regret not finding ways to encourage other Christians to boldly run their newspapers God's way.

So I mocked up a "Christians in Media" (CIM) website at www.writeanswer.org to go with www.RightSite.US, started this blog and -- wham! -– up popped the devil! My gall bladder repeatedly hospitalized me last October and November. I almost died when my liver shut down and pancreas became infected after removal of a gall stone caused massive internal bleeding.

The last and worst attack kept me from our Candlelight Service, and the gall bladder was removed on Christmas Day in emergency surgery. During my recovery I tried to revive my websites and blog, but then it was my wife's turn in the hospital with two mini-strokes and a stubborn kidney infection.

Why tell of this? Because Christian editors need to know that Satan declares war on their obedience. You see, standing up for the Lord draws enemy fire. You likely will be hit, and it'll hurt.

Yet God is faithful to see you through. I don't regret paying any price for the causse of Christ.

Asking patience, I decided to wait upon the Lord and His timetable.

Then last Monday an email notice from Joe Walsh, a wonderful prayer warrior in California, invited me to join an online business network, Sta.rtUp.biz, which in turn urged me to sign up for Facebook, which put me back in contact with a heartening number of other Godly men I've served over the years.

Maybe the time is right, or at least getting closer, for a national association to help Christians succeed at secular newspapers, radio and TV stations. Print media’s survival is at stake. So is America’s future.

So what might God have put on your mind about a national association or how else to "take back mainstream media"? I welcome your comments below …

Ignorant? No, we know better. We apparently just aren't smart enough collectively for our times. At least not on our own.

And there's no excuse. Not really. Spiritual intelligence is readily available for the asking. But we've got to get smart God's way, not ours.

Fear of the Lord, the Bible says, is the beginning of knowledge and wisdom. That's a major reason why our churches aren't as obedient and fruitful as they ought to be.

It's true: most Christians no longer "fear" the Lord. Jesus is considered an understanding pal, right? The Father is our good buddy, Who winks at our continual failings. And we can either take or leave the Holy Spirit's suggestions, depending on how well they fit into our busy schedule.

We especially are fear-less in prayer, mistaken treating it as heaven's delivery service. These days prayer's purpose is to get things from God -- right? -- not to know Him better and receive His wisdom and guidance.

We now live in a culture with absolutely no reverence of or respect for Almighty God. As a group, the collective church has forgotten who and what the Lord is. As His representatives, we don't practice the presence of the living God very well, do we?

Consider this: Glowing angels appear on a popular TV show to offer the Lord's words of comfort, and repeatedly the scripts have people show little or no surprise. In fact, the angels frequently are told to get lost.

Isaiah, though, cried out "Woe is me!" when he saw God's radiant holiness. The Bible is full of people who fall down as if dead upon encountering a form of God's presence.

So should we today. Right here and now. And we would if the Almighty was all that real to us throughout the week.

Every God-used person of the Bible walked in fear -- reverence and respect -- of God. It's a fact. Walked in fear. Walked in fear. You see the words over and over.

"Now fear the Lord and serve Him with all faithfulness," Joshua commanded God's people in Joshua 24:14 after telling them to "be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or to the left."

By not staying in God's word, too many individuals and congregations have lost their reverence and respect of God and gone astray of His will.

So to walk in fear, we must conduct our daily lives in reverent awe of God and obedient respect of His word. That should be the motivation for our lives -- to do everything His way and thus want to please the Almighty more than ourselves, our employers, our families.

Should we shudder at the prospect of God's wrath and dread His punishment? Perhaps. More than being afraid of God putting His hand on us, though, we should fear having the Lord take away His hand of blessing and power. Everywhere there are churches that no longer have God's enabling hand. They meet and try their best to do things good in their own power in their own way, but the Lord just is not with them.

Oh that a bolt from the blue would strike nearby to keep us on the straight and narrow when we stray. Trouble is, too many straying Christians and congregations take the lack of that bolt as God's approval instead of His loving patience, which is longsuffering but has a limit.

We need to encourage one to walk in reverence and respect of Almighty God. We need to get into His word and stay there in prayer.

Perhaps it'll take a decisive turning point. Maybe it's time for you and your personal or church family to make a commitment and answer, as Joshua did, "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Jumpin' Jehosaphat knows what to do ...

A noted pundit recently wrote the Republican Party is doomed to failure if its best hope is for the Democrats' united front to splinter into unproductive disunity.

That may well be, but the comment started me thinking about a favorite Bible passage, one that I've not only included in sermons but taken to heart as God's way of facing overwhelming odds.

"Jumpin' Jehosaphat!" Perry White, editor of the Daily Planet, often blurted that name on the old TV series right before Superman soared into action. So when, as a new Christian, my Bible studies came across the name, I was interested. First of all, there was nothing in 2nd Chronicles chapter 20 about Jehosaphat jumping. But what I found was and is invaluable.

Jehosaphat was king when the united armies of three enemy nations marched on Judah. He called for God's help, and the people came together in a nation-wide prayer meeting. "...We have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us," the king prayed. "We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You."

Then the Holy Spirit came upon Jahaziel, a priest, who spoke God's response. It sure wasn't the answer I was expecting, but I've done as instructed, and I assure you IT WORKS!

"Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army," Jahaziel said. "The battle is not yours, it's God's. ... You will not have to fight this battle."

The next day, before Judah had to face the combined enemy that threatened their country, their very lives, Jehosaphat bowed to the ground and worshipped. Inspired, the king arose and told the people to "have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in His prophets and you will be successful."

What Jehosaphat then ordered just doesn't make sense, certainly not for military warfare. But this was spiritual warfare, just as it is today.

The king actually assembled a choir on the front line and had the singers march out AHEAD of Judah's soldiers! As the choir began to sing praises, the Lord went to work on Judah's behalf. One enemy army turned against another and then the third. Nobody was left alive when Jehosaphat arrived on the battlefield.

Prayer and praises to God won the day way back then. They still do today.

The Democrats represent a massive combination of God's enemies. Many are evil, or at least under Satan's control. And evil, by definition, cannot long stay united. God will see to it -- IF we will follow the example of Jehosaphat: Pray and praise, because the battle belongs to the Lord.

We do not know what to do, Lord, but our eyes are on You.

Easter bunny, tooth fairy, global warming ...

The Easter bunny, tooth fairy and global warming are childhood myths that make us reach for our wallet to continue their illusion. But the latter is going to cost us far more than plastic grass and hard-boiled eggs or occasional quarters under a pillow.

As a "strategic communicator" for a Fortune 500 electric utility that sought to corner the market (at least the entire western grid), I was one of several assigned to research industry Godzillas who potentially might stomp on our shareholders' Tokyo -- acid rain, electro-magnetic fields (EMFs) and global warming to be exact.

You see, the thing most dear to CEO and VP hearts -- their golden parachutes -- depended on identifying threats that could endanger their company's status and profits. So each issue was researched thoroughly.

Acid rain? Nothing to it. Coal-fired power plants were not guilty of doing damage where their smoke drifted. No, soil content was found to be acidic long before the advent of electricity.

EMFs? "Ummm, maybe it would be best to watch where we build power lines so the incidence of cancer in children living nearby isn't increased to a level that attracts public attention," the brass was told. In other words, evidence was serious enough to be carefully watchful.

And global warming? A political hoax, obvious back in the '80s. Whatever existed in "scientific evidence" was more than offset by factually supported data that pointed to climatic cycles. Besides, the board was urged, look at who's behind the still unproven theory.

Then as now, they are socialistic radicals intent on championing any cause that sticks it to corporate America, hastening the day of doom for hated capitalism.

Number Obama among them. Remember, it was Barack who welcomed summer's skyrocketing gas prices. Why? Because jumps at the pumps would help condition Americans to go along with socialistic mass transit and accept the radical environmental agenda intent on turning the United States into just another European country.

BHO would like nothing better than for us to junk our SUVs and oil up our bicycles. Boy, all those expensive-but-unused bike lanes should start looking good to us any day now.

Drill here; drill now; pay less? Well, terrorist-supporting OPEC sure did drop the price of gas like a heavy rock in order to scuttle that issue and get their candidate elected. What's a little less money to some of the richest men in the world when they can help put their choice in the Oval Office who will surrender Iraq without a shot and backburner the war on terror.

So energy independence now is off the table at Democrat-dominated Congress and at the left-leaning White House -- all in keeping with whatever it takes to undercut capitalism. Saving our planet from the dreaded hoax of global warming now will go into overdrive.

Expect power-hungry politicians to blacklist scientists who reject global warming alarmism, for congressmen to threaten companies that fund climate-change dissenters, for public schools to preach the unfounded theory as solid as evolution, and for mainstream media to ignore or smear any who dare speak the truth.

Unscrupulous scientists candidly admit the need to twist the facts to paint an uglier picture in order to greedily fool a misled public into accepting their conjecture as gospel while of course keeping our tax money flowing.

As for me, it's laughable if they weren't so deadly serious about the sham. I like what former senator Fred Thompson said:

“It seems scientists have noticed recently that quite a few planets in our solar system seem to be heating up a bit, including Pluto. This has led some people, not necessarily scientists, to wonder if Mars and Jupiter, non-signatories to the Kyoto Treaty, are actually inhabited by alien SUV-driving industrialists who run their air-conditioning at 60 degrees and refuse to recycle.”

You know, twice this fall I've dusted snow off my car here in Virginia -- and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. Right now, as I shiver on a 32-degree afternoon, I realize I can't stand much more of this politically inspired global warming.

Oh, but it's just a weather cycle, proponents counter. To which I say, my point exactly.

Get ready for attacks on conservative radio ...

Brace yourself for an unprecedented government assault upon the First Amendment. President Barack Obama will lead the charge, wielding his cloaked version of a “Fairness Doctrine.”

Arch liberals have been waiting for this coercive opportunity since 1987 when the Federal Communications Commission, under President Ronald Reagan, scraped the original Fairness Doctrine, allowing conservative talk radio to mushroom into popularity across America. The whiners can't wait to silence the hated Rush Limbaugh, who skyrocketed to a position of great influence as a result of Reagan's repeal that freed radio stations to air what listeners wanted to hear without having to include what they didn't.

President Reagan saw it right: America must have the opportunity to hear an alternative voice to what passes as reporting on the nightly news. As Rush is known to say: “Don’t ask me for equal time; I am equal time. I am the rebuttal to the liberal, mainstream, drive-by media.”

Now, with control of the Presidency and both houses of Congress, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid want to bring back the Fairness Doctrine to stifle conservative talk radio’s criticism of the Democrats' so-often-failed agenda.

Obama claims to oppose that, however, knowing such a blatant move surely will inspire an outraged march on Washington by listeners of Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, Bill Bennett and other hosts. (Come to think of it, now's a good time to launch a pitchfork-sharpening business, offering free maps of DC to spur business.)

Ah, but the president-elect still is counting the days to the strangled death of conservative talk radio! Just listen to the opening of Hannity's radio show for a collection of Obama's sound bites against Sean. Makes you wonder: Has a presidential candidate ever had so much to say against a broadcaster?

Eschewing a frontal assault, Obama plans to sneak through a side door to silence that pesky conservative voice. The FCC, you see, has an ambiguous rule called “localism” that requires stations to serve the interests of their local communities in order to maintain their licenses. Obama, who will immediately sack FCC Chairman Kevin Martin upon taking office, needs only three votes from the five-member FCC to redefine localism in such a way that handcuffs conservative talk radio.

The skulduggery already is afoot: the FCC has called for permanent station advisory boards, made up of community officials and leaders, to periodically advise of local needs and issues that ensures diversity of on-air content. That way, any station that fails to appease “local community leaders” will lose its license.

Can't happen? Well, answer this: What organization first successfully used FCC “localism” to silence a station?

Answer: The United Church of Christ, Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s highly-politicized denomination. That's right, the racist reverend's Office of Communication, Inc., yanked a broadcast license away from a southern station deemed not to be covering the civil-rights movement fairly. The precedent is set!

Hummm, you gotta wonder about anyone who, with a straight face, claims such chicanery didn't influence him over a 20-year association.

So, like I said, brace yourself! One way or another, the attacks are coming. Let your conservative voice be heard and help America get it right!

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss ...

Sigh! So much for hope and change:

In calling his second major shot as president-elect, Barack Obama picked pro-abortion Tom Daschle as Secretary of Health and Human Services. The former U.S. senator from South Dakota, known for taking no prisoners as Senate Majority Leader, will replace pro-life advocate Mike Leavitt, who has been working on protecting pro-life doctors and nurses. Sigh!

As the health secretary, Daschle will likely play a role in shaping Obama's health care plan, which has come under fire for possibly including abortion coverage or mandating that hospitals or insurance companies cover abortions. Sigh!

Hope? Not for pre-born babies. Change? Yeah, a sad step deeper into, not out of, bitter partisan politics. This isn't reaching across the isle; it's throwing a sucker punch!

To quote the Who from Don't Get Footed Again: "Meet the new boss; same as the old boss." Not at all what voters expected from the messiah's mantra on the campaign trail, huh?

Reminds me of a Fanny Mae lender who died and arrived at the pearly gates, where Saint Peter gave him the choice of heaven or hell after visiting each.

First up was hell, and the lender was stunned to see a gorgeous lush-green golf course, complete with a ritzy clubhouse that offered plenty of booze, massages and an unending poker game. Then came heaven, a serenely beautiful place of peace and tranquility.

When Peter called for the decision the next day, the lender said: "Well, this might surprise you, but I think I'll fit in better in hell."

"So be it," Peter said, pointing to the elevator. Down the lender went to his exciting and attractive destination for eternity.

But when the doors opened, the Fanny Mae lender was greeted by blast-furnace flames and searing pain. As Satan emerged from the fire, the lender cried out, "What happened? Yesterday it was so beautiful..."

"Yesterday," Satan hissed with an evil smile, "we were campaigning. Today you voted!"
