LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GIVE GLORY TO YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. MATTHEW  5:6 *NKJV

YOU WERE ONCE DARKNESS, NOW YOU ARE LIGHT IN THE LORD.  WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT. For, IF WE WALK IN THE LIGHT AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT, WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER, AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSES US FROM ALL SIN. EPHESIANS 5:8 & 1 JOHN 1:6-7

Now how do we walk in the light?  Well, your little light shines every time you smile at someone, or do a good deed for them. Also when you take the time to help someone in need, or share God's Word with another. When you reach out to someone who is suffering with pain or sorrow.  Thus when, through you actions, you show others what being a Christian is all about.  Thus: LOVE YOU NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.  MATTHEW 19:19

Now, if you think your little light is a dim one, well perhaps, as I believe, our little lights are magnified in the immense mirror of God's Love.  Perhaps His reflectors are our hearts, spreading the flame of kindness to one another.  Therefore, why not shine you light on others today?  You will not only help them but it will warm your heart as well!

In Closing, just think, "If everyone would light, just one little candle, what a bright World this would be."  Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD.  HOW GOOD IT IS TO SING PRAISES TO OUR GOD, HOW PLEASANT AND FITTING TO PRAISE HIM. PSALM 147:1 *NIV

Why not attend the Church of your choice today, where you may join with others as they praise our Heavenly Father. After all, just think of all the blessings He has given to you, including His Love and saving Grace! So LET US GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HIS UNFAILING LOVE AND HIS WONDERFUL DEEDS FOR MEN. ( PSALM 107:8 )

King David best described this, for in a Psalm he gave to Asaph, for he wrote: SING TO THE LORD, ALL THE EARTH; PROCLAIM HIS SALVATION DAY AFTER DAY. DECLARE HIS GLORY AMONG THE NATIONS, HIS MARVELOUS DEEDS AMONG ALL PEOPLES. FOR GREAT IS THE LORD AND MOST WORTHY OF PRAISE; HE IS TO BE FEARED [revered} ABOVE ALL gods. ASCRIBE TO THE LORD THE GLORY DUE HIS NAME. BRING AN OFFERING AND COME BEFORE HIM; WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE SPLENDOR OF HIS HOLINESS. ( 1 CHRONICLES 16:23-25 & 29 )

So, why not worship the Lord in the splendor of His Holiness by attending your Church today. There you may GREET ONE ANOTHER WITH A HOLY KISS. For THE CHURCHES OF CHRIST GREET YOU. Amen! ( ROMANS 16:16 )

An Act of Appreciation

FOR WHAT PROFIT IS IT TO A MAN IF HE GAINS THE WHOLE  WORLD, AND IS HIMSELF DESTROYED OR LOST? LUKE 9:25 *NKJV

As you already know in this World today it is very easy to get caught up in our day to day life. We sometimes even seem to forget how short our human life is compared to our Eternal life! After all it is written: WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? IT IS EVEN A VAPOR THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE TIME AND THEN VANISHES AWAY. ( JAMES 4:14 )

We even see around us many people that are so consumed by the power of money that they have lost sight of what is really important!  FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS A ROOT OF ALL KINDS OF EVIL, FOR WHICH SOME HAVE STRAYED FROM THE FAITH IN THEIR GREEDINESS, AND PIERCED THEMSELVES THROUGH WITH MANY SORROWS!  1 TIMOTHY 6:10 )  For their god has become the almighty dollar, pounds, naira, but when their life is over, all of their money can not another moment buy!

As Children of God, we have better life ahead of us! One with Our Savior Jesus Christ, and a life where GOD WILL WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR FROM YOUR EYES; THERE SHALL BE NO MORE DEATH, NOR SORROW, NOR CRYING. THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN, FOR THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY. ( REVELATION 21:4 )

Therefore what a Blessing it is to be a Child of God! So the next time that you count all of your blessings, be sure to add that one as well!

The church's pastor slowly stood up walked over to the pulpit and, before he gave his sermon for the evening, he briefly introduced a guest minister who was in the service that evening.

In the introduction, the pastor told the congregation that the guest minister was one of his dearest childhood friends and that he wanted him to have a few moments to greet the church and share whatever he felt would be appropriate for the service. With that, an elderly man stepped up to the pulpit and began to speak.

A father, his son, and a friend of his son were sailing off the pacific coast,' he began.’  When a fast approaching storm blocked any attempt to get back to the shore. the waves were  so high, that even though the father was an experienced sailor, he could not keep the  boat upright and the  three were swept  into the ocean  as the boat capsized'. The old man hesitated for a moment, making eye contact with two teenagers who were, for the first time since the service began, looking somewhat interested in his story.

The aged minister continued with his story, 'grabbing a rescue line, the father had to make the most excruciating decision of his life: to which boy would he throw the other end of the life line. He only had seconds to make the decision. The father knew that his son was a Christian and he, also, knew that his son’s friend was not. The agony of his decision could not be matched by the torrent of waves as the father yelled out, 'I love you, son!'

He threw out the life line to his son's friend. By the time the father had pulled the friend back to the capsized boat, his son had disappeared beneath the raging swells into the black of night. His body was never recovered. By this time, the two teenagers were sitting up straight in the pew, anxiously waiting for the next words to come out of the old minister’s mouth. 'The father, he continued, 'knew his son would step into eternity with Jesus and he could not bear  the thought  of  his  son's friend  stepping  into  an eternity  without  Jesus..  Therefore, he sacrificed his son to save the son’s friend.  ‘How great is the love of god that he should do the same for us. Our heavenly father sacrificed his only begotten son that we could be saved. I urge you to accept His offer to rescue you and take a hold of the life line he is  throwing out to you in this service. With that, the old man turned and sat back down in his chair as silence filled the room.

The pastor again walked slowly to the pulpit and delivered a brief sermon with an invitation at the end. However, no one responded to the appeal. Within minutes after the service ended, the two teenagers were at the old man's side. 'T hat was a nice story,' politely stated one of them’, but I don't think it was very realistic for a father to give up his only son's life in hopes that the other boy would become a Christian.'

Well, you've got a point there’, the old man replied, glancing down at his worn bible. A big smile broadened his narrow face. He once again looked up at the boys and said, 'it sure isn't very realistic, is it? But, I'm  standing  here  today  to tell  you  that  story  gives  me  a  glimpse  of what  it  must  have  been  like  for  god  to  give up  his  son  for  me.  You see...

I was that father and your pastor is my son's friend.

Those are the words of our Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus also said, "IF YOU ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, YOU WILL ASK WHAT YOU DESIRE, AND IT SHALL BE DONE FOR YOU." JOHN 15:7

Now these verses do not mean that everything we may ask for will be given to us, but do mean that if it is God's Will for us it will happen! After all we may ask for something that would hurt us in the end, for we have no way of knowing the future.

Therefore when you pray do not be afraid to ask God for something that you desire, knowing that He who knows all is looking out for you. For God has said: THEN YOU WILL CALL UPON ME AND COME AND PRAY TO ME, AND I WILL LISTEN TO YOU. YOU WILL SEEK ME AND FIND ME WHEN YOU SEEK ME WITH ALL YOUR HEART. JEREMIAH 29:12-13

Also do not think that God has abandoned you if a prayer isn't answered the way you want.  After all, in time, you may look back on that prayer request and say "Thank God, He Didn't Answer That One!"

Therefore, never lose hope when you pray for it is written, THE EFFECTIVE, FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH.  ( JAMES 5:16 ) So PRAY CONTINUALLY; GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST JESUS. Amen. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17-18

Indeed, we should never forget just how very much our Heavenly Father loves each one of us. Also how many ways HE proves that to us each day as well!

After all when we feel hopeless: THE LORD WILL GIVE STRENGTH TO HIS PEOPLE; THE LORD WILL BLESS HIS PEOPLE WITH PEACE. PSALM 29:11

When we can't find the answers we want, or are in need of guidance, He will provide the way, for: THIS ALSO COMES FROM THE LORD OF HOSTS, WHO IS WONDERFUL IN COUNSEL AND EXCELLENT IN GUIDANCE. ISAIAH 28:29

Further, don't forget the best benefit of all, for: THIS IS THE TESTIMONY: THAT GOD HAS GIVEN US ETERNAL LIFE, AND THIS LIFE IS IN HIS SON. 1 JOHN 5:11

So in return you should: LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH. ( MARK 12:30 )  Because HE loves you, even more than that!   Amen

WE LIVE BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 *NIV

When ever you have a problem place it in God's capable hands by asking Him in prayer to handle it for you! Then, whatever you do, try Not to hold on to a little corner of it and pull it back again. For when you put your trust in God, He will lead your way!

Remember that our Savior Jesus Christ said: "DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED. TRUST IN GOD; TRUST ALSO IN ME." JOHN 14:1

Also it is written: TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, O PEOPLE; POOR OUT YOUR HEARTS TO HIM, FOR GOD IS OUR REFUGE. ( PSALM 62:8 ) So, always put all your: TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, ( PSALM 62:8 ) for it is written: BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO MAKES THE LORD HIS TRUST. PSALM 40:4

NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN WE ASK OR IMAGINE, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT IS AT WORK WITHIN US, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH AND IN JESUS CHRIST THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS, FOR EVER AND EVER! AMEN. EPHESIANS 3:20-21

NO ONE EVER HAS SEEN GOD; BUT IF WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER, GOD LIVES IN US, AND HIS LOVE IS MADE COMPLETE IN US. WE KNOW THAT WE LIVE IN HIM, AND HE IN US, BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN US OF HIS SPIRIT. 1 JOHN 4:12-13 *NIV

When we open our hearts and invite God into our lives, a wonderful thing begins to happen! The Apostle Paul stated it this way: THEREFORE, IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATION; THE OLD HAS GONE, THE NEW HAS COME! 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

As many of you know, this is when we become the person that God intended us to be. It is also when we become filled with THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING. PHILIPPIANS 4:7

So, JUST AS YOU RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS AS LORD, CONTINUE TO LIVE IN HIM, ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN HIM, STRENGTHENED IN THE FAITH AS YOU WERE TAUGHT, AND OVERFLOWING IN THANKFULNESS. COLOSSIANS 2:6

Now my brother & friend, may THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH YOUR SPIRIT. Amen.

NOW FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN. HEBREWS 11:1 *NKJV

Our Heavenly Father gives everyone of us faith for it is written: GOD HAS DEALT TO EACH ONE A MEASURE OF FAITH. ROMANS 12:3 However we must add to our given faith, and we can because: FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD. ROMANS 10:17

Apostle Paul wrote: I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, FOR IT IS THE POWER OF GOD TO SALVATION FOR EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES. FOR IN THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IS REVEALED FROM FAITH TO FAITH; AS IT IS WRITTEN, 'THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.'" ROMANS 1:17

Therefore, it is important that WE WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT, 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 trusting with all of our heart, that our Heavenly Father will help us when we face a problem in our lives! Remember it is written that: WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, FOR HE WHO COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM. So; HAVE FAITH IN THE LORD YOUR GOD AND YOU WILL BE UPHELD; HAVE FAITH IN HIS PROPHETS AND YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL as well. Amen. ( HEBREWS 11:6 ) & ( 2 CHRONICLES 20:20 )

An Act Of Faith

Jesus taught us to say, GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD. MATTHEW 6:11 *NKJV

The word's "Daily Bread" refer to our spiritual food, that being the Word of God. For, MAN DOES NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT COMES FROM THE MOUTH OF THE LORD. DEUTERONOMY 8:3

Now, did you ever notice when reading the Scriptures how the Word ministers to us in different ways depending on what our current situation is? Well this is because, THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND POWERFUL, AND SHARPER THAN ANY TWO-EDGED SWORD. Thus we my boldly say, YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET AND A LIGHT TO MY PATH. ( HEBREWS 4:12 ) ( PSALM 119:105 )

Therefore: LET THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU RICHLY IN ALL WISDOM, TEACHING AND ADMONISHING ONE ANOTHER IN PSALMS AND HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS, SINGING WITH GRACE IN YOUR HEARTS TO THE LORD. COLOSSIANS 3:16

Now, you may consider this daily message a slice of toast for your spiritual breakfast each morning. Now you may enjoy even more by reading you Bible each day as well. However do not worry, you may enjoy several spiritual meals a day without gaining a single pound! So Bon Appetit, my Dear Friends!

The Apostle Paul wrote these words almost 2,000 years ago, and they still apply to God's Children today! For it is written: GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER LIVES IN LOVE LIVES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM. ( 1 JOHN 4:16 ) After all Jesus said: THESE THINGS I COMMAND YOU, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER. ( JOHN 15:17 ) So ABOVE ALL THINGS HAVE FERVENT LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER, FOR "LOVE WILL COVER A MULTITUDE OF SINS." ( 1 PETER 4:8 )

Also when we live a life filled with love for each other we become filled with the fruit of the Spirit! And THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL. For it is then that the emptiness we had within disappears, and it is then that GOD is in us, and we are in HIM!

So; I PRAY THAT YOU, BEING ROOTED AND ESTABLISHED IN LOVE, MAY HAVE POWER, TOGETHER WITH ALL THE SAINTS, TO GRASP HOW WIDE AND LONG HIGH AND DEEP IS THE LOVE OF CHRIST, AND TO KNOW THIS LOVE THAT SURPASSES KNOWLEDGE --THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED TO THE MEASURE OF ALL FULLNESS OF GOD. Amen EPHESIANS 3:17-20

Now have a wonderful weekend knowing that God Loves You, and is always there with you as well! Amen.

Now true peace in our lives can be hard to find at times, but through our faith in Jesus Christ we can know peace even in turmoil. This is because HE HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE. EPHESIANS 2:14

Now our Savior Jesus Christ said, "THESE THINGS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD." JOHN 16:33

Therefore when you find that peace has left you, and you feel troubled; return your thoughts to our Heavenly Father and trust in Him with all your heart. Always remembering that HAVING BEEN JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, WE HAVE PEACE WITH GOD THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. ROMANS 5:1

So, always LET THE PEACE OF GOD RULE IN YOUR HEARTS, TO WHICH ALSO YOU WERE CALLED IN ONE BODY; AND BE THANKFUL. COLOSSIANS 3:15

 An Act Of FAITH

I HAVE HIDDEN YOUR WORD IN MY HEART, SO THAT I MIGHT NOT SIN AGAINST YOU. PSA 119:11

As children of the most high God, we should always be careful of what we pay attention to. What you listen and pay attention to is what is stored in you heart. The word of God bring life as IT IS WRITTEN, "MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD. MAT 4:4 So KEEP YOUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE; FOR OUT OF IT ARE THE ISSUES OF LIFE ( PRO 4:23 ) AND HAS RAISED US UP TOGETHER AND MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN THE HEAVENLIES IN CHRIST JESUS ( EPH 2:6 )

Let His word dwells in you. THIS BOOK OF THE LAW SHALL NOT DEPART OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, BUT YOU SHALL MEDITATE ON IT BY DAY AND BY NIGHT, SO THAT YOU MAY BE CAREFUL TO DO ACCORDING TO ALL THAT IS WRITTEN IN IT. FOR THEN YOU SHALL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS, AND THEN YOU SHALL ACT WISELY. When His word lives in you, you will always be conscious of His commandments. Remember He said DO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED TOGETHER WITH UNBELIEVERS; FOR WHAT FELLOWSHIP DOES RIGHTEOUSNESS HAVE WITH LAWLESSNESS? AND WHAT PARTNERSHIP DOES LIGHT HAVE WITH DARKNESS? 2CO 6:14

The word of God connect us to the feature. As we walk in the word, it gets us to where God wants us to be. YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET, AND A LIGHT TO MY PATH. PSA 119:105

My prayer is that, Whatever is contrary to the word of God will not execute in you life in Jesus name. And ye shall say to the enemies, TAKE COUNSEL TOGETHER AND IT SHALL COME TO NAUGHT; SPEAK THE WORD, AND IT SHALL NOT STAND: FOR GOD IS WITH US. ISA 8:10 . Whatever God has promise will come to pass in your life in Jesus name, because His word concerning you is settled in heaven. FOREVER, O JEHOVAH, YOUR WORD IS SETTLED IN THE HEAVENS PSA 119:89 So, it's better to keep your treasures in heaven and always fill yourself with the word of God.

Have you ever grumbled or complained about the apparent success of the ungodly?  Have you felt jealous of the wealth, the power and the prestige they display?  Have you wondered how it can be that some people have gained their wealth in a corrupt manner and selfishly hoard it while so many people are living in poverty and desperate need?

You are not the only one who has contemplated these questions.  A man named Asaph pondered these matters in Psalm 73.  "I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.  They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.  They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills... This is what the wicked are like - always carefree, they increase in wealth" (Ps. 73:3, 4-5, 12).  Asaph even questioned the benefits of maintaining his integrity and he lamented, "When I tried to understand all this, it was oppressive to me" (Ps. 73:16). 

But then, instead of wallowing and complaining, Asaph did the right thing!  "I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny" (Ps. 73:17).

It is only in the presence of God that we find peace of mind and gain divine understanding.

If you find yourself questioning things as Asaph did, it is probably a sign that you need to take more time out of your day to pray, meditate on God's Word and listen to His voice.  Then you can rest assured that the prosperity of the wicked will come to an end and you will say unto the Lord as Asaph did, "Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.  You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.  Whom have I in heaven but you?  And earth has nothing I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.  Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.  But as for me, it is good to be near God.  I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds" (Ps. 73:23-28).

Take time daily to "enter the sanctuary of God"!

As our Heavenly Father said there will be; "A TIME TO WEEP AND A TIME TO LAUGH; A TIME TO MOURN AND A TIME TO DANCE." ECCLESIASTES 3:4 *NKJV

Well, your are in luck, because now is a time to laugh! So if you are feeling low right now remember that IF I SAY, I WILL FORGET MY COMPLAINT, I WILL PUT OFF MY SAD FACE AND WEAR A SMILE. Pecans in the Cemetery

On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big, old pecan tree
just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a
bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began
dividing the nuts. "One for you, one for me. One for you, one for
me," said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the
fence.

Another boy came riding along the road on his bicycle. As he
passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery. He
slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, "One for you,
one for me. One for you, one for me." He just knew what it was,
so he jumped back on his bike and rode off.

Now just around the bend he met an old man with a cane,
hobbling along. "Come here quick," said the boy, "you won't believe
what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing
up the souls."

The man said, "Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to
walk." When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled to the
cemetery. Standing by the fence they heard, "One for you, one for
me. One for you, one for me..." The old man whispered, "Boy,
you've been tellin' the truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord."
Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence yet were still
unable to see anything.

The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the
fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the
Lord.
At last they heard, "One for you, one for me. That's all. Now let's
go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done."

They say the old man made it back to town a full 5 minutes
ahead of the boy on the bike!

An Act of Faith

BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD, AND WHOSE HOPE IS THE LORD. JEREMIAH 17:7 *NKJV

We all have hopes and dreams for our future, for life would be very difficult without them. However when we put our hope in the Lord, trusting that He will always help us, we are placing our hope in the correct place! For unlike putting our hope in other human beings who are likely to let us down, GOD never fails or reneges on His Promises.

After all it is written: THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS OUR HOPE. ( 1 TIMOTHY 1:1 ) and everyone whose hope is in the Lord is truly blessed! Now that is because EVERYONE WHO HAS THIS HOPE IN HIM PURIFIES HIMSELF, JUST AS HE IS PURE. ( 1 JOHN 3:3 ) So, BE OF GOOD COURAGE, AND HE SHALL STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART, ALL YOU WHO HOPE IN THE LORD. PSALM 31:24

In Closing, it is my prayer that THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE IN BELIEVING, THAT YOU MAY ABOUND IN HOPE BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, and that all of your hopes and dreams come true! Amen. ROMANS 15:13

Now in this World today, there are times when we may feel overwhelmed by what is going on all around us. After all with terrible disasters, wars and terrorist's threats, etc happening, it is enough to make one wonder what is happening to this World today.

If all of these events cause you to feel overwhelmed, and the tribulation in this World is weighing heavily on your mind, remember that God is always with you, and these events are unfolding as prophesied. Also remember that our Savior Jesus Christ said, "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED; FOR YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME." ( JOHN 14:1 ) For when we put all of our trust in Jesus' hands, we will find peace for HE HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE. ( EPHESIANS 2:14 )

FINALLY, BRETHREN, WHATEVER THINGS ARE TRUE, WHAT EVER THINGS ARE NOBLE, WHATEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY, WHATEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT, IF THERE IS ANY VIRTUE AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING PRAISEWORTHY-MEDITATE ON THESE THINGS instead of the troubles of this World. PHILIPPIANS 4:8 After all it is then that THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. (PHILIPPIANS 4:7) and you will know true peace as you have never known it before. Amen, Amen Indeed!

LIFT UP YOUR EYES ON HIGH AND SEE WHO HAS CREATED THESE THINGS, WHO BRINGS OUT THEIR HOST BY NUMBER; HE CALLS THEM BY NAME, BY THE GREATNESS OF HIS MIGHT AND THE STRENGTH OF HIS POWER; NOT ONE IS MISSING.ISAIAH 40:26 *NJKV

When the events of this World cause you to be concerned, remember that our Heavenly Father is in Control! For THE LORD REIGNS; LET THE EARTH REJOICE. PSALM 97:1

Indeed, let the Earth rejoice for time is unfolding just as it was written! So do not be stressed about today or the future, for you are God's Child and He will always be with you! For THE ETERNAL GOD IS YOUR REFUGE, AND UNDERNEATH ARE HIS EVERLASTING ARMS. DEUTERONOMY 33:27

After all WHO IS GOD, EXCEPT THE LORD? AND WHO IS A ROCK, EXCEPT OUR GOD? PSALM 18:31

So, the next time you become worried about the future of this World, remember these words! THE LORD REIGNS; LET THE EARTH REJOICE and He has made everything glorious. Yes, let us rejoice indeed!

Therefore: LET YOUR SPEECH ALWAYS BE WITH GRACE, SEASONED WITH SALT, THAT YOU MAY KNOW HOW YOU OUGHT TO ANSWER EACH OTHER. COLOSSIANS 4:6

So Beloved, speak only words of kindness, and; SPEAK EVIL TO NO ONE, TO BE PEACEABLE, GENTLE, SHOWING ALL HUMILITY TO ALL MEN. TITUS 3:2

FINALLY, ALL OF YOU BE OF ONE MIND, HAVING COMPASSION FOR ONE ANOTHER; LOVE AS BROTHERS, BE TENDERHEARTED, BE COURTEOUS; NOT RETURNING EVIL FOR EVIL OR REVILING FOR REVILING, BUT ON THE CONTRARY BLESSING, KNOWING THAT YOU WERE CALLED TO THIS, THAT YOU MAY INHERIT A BLESSING. Amen. 1 PETER 3:8-9 )

WHEN THE DISCIPLES SAW HIM WALKING ON THE SEA THEY WERE TROUBLED, SAYING, IT IS A GHOST! AND THEY CRIED OUT FOR FEAR. BUT IMMEDIATELY JESUS SPOKE TO THEM, SAYING, BE OF GOOD CHEER! IT IS I; DO NOT BE AFRAID. SO HE SAID, COME. AND WHEN PETER HAD CAME DOWN OUT OF THE BOAT HE WALKED ON THE WATER TO GO TO JESUS. BUT HE SAW THAT THE WIND WAS BOISTEROUS, HE WAS AFRAID; AND BEGINNING TO SINK HE CRIED OUT SAYING "LORD SAVE ME." MATTHEW 14:26,27,29 & 30 *NKJV

Now Peter began to sink because he took his eyes off of Jesus, and focused on the waves all around him. This was because his faith faltered. So what did Peter do but reach out to Jesus who was the only one that could save him! You see Peter forgot to WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7

Now we may not be walking on water, but when our troubles surround us, if we focus on them instead of placing our faith in Jesus, we will start to sink as well!

So, when you are facing difficulties and troubles surround you; keep your eyes on Jesus' power rather then on your problems. Also when you are apprehensive about your troubles, and if you doubt Christ's presence or His great ability to help; remember that He is the only one that can really help you as well!

Now tonight why not read this story. You will find it in The Book of Matthew 14:22-33, for wonderful reading it truly is!

Finally, WATCH, STAND FAST IN THE FAITH BE BRAVE, BE STRONG. LET ALL YOU DO BE DONE WITH LOVE. Amen. 1 CORINTHIANS 16:13

ONLY FEAR THE LORD, AND SERVE HIM IN TRUTH WITH ALL YOUR HEART; FOR CONSIDER WHAT GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE FOR YOU. 1 SAMUEL 12:24 *NKJV

In this busy world it is far too easy to forget all of the things that God has done for us. Often we take those blessings for granted, and sometimes we even forget to thank God for them.

It is written: THE LORD YOUR GOD WILL KEEP WITH YOU THE COVENANT AND THE MERCY WHICH HE SWORE TO YOUR FATHERS. AND HE WILL LOVE YOU AND BLESS YOU. DEUTERONOMY 7:12-13

Therefore, never forget to thank Him for His great love, and all of the blessings that He has given to you! In fact, a great way to start each day is to spend two minutes counting all of your blessings, and then try to have only loving thoughts all day long. For when we do are hearts become merry and we are walking in God's Light, and that will make us feel even more blessed than before!

Also remember Beloved, when counting all of your blessings, to count the biggest blessing of them all, and that is having such a loving, caring Heavenly Father as we do! Amen!

GRACE TO YOU AND PEACE FROM GOD OUR FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. 1 CORINTHIANS 1:3 *NKJV

When your life becomes filled with noise and confusion, and you long for a little peace in your life, turn to our Savior Jesus Christ! For He said, "THESE THINGS I HAVE SPOKEN TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE, IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD." JOHN 16:33 After all Jesus' never abandons us, or leaves us to struggle alone! We can always call on Him in even the most troublesome times, for He is always with us!

Also remember that when confusion enters your life, it is not from God but from satan. For it is written that: GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF PEACE! 1 CORINTHIANS 14:33

So, BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION, WITH THANKSGIVING, LET YOUR REQUESTS BE KNOWN TO GOD; AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. Amen. PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7

Now when we try our best to have pure thoughts and desires and follow the Commandments put forth by God, we often get our prayers answered. For it is written: THE EFFECTIVE FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILS MUCH. JAMES 5:16

So, when you speak be careful of the words you use, and keep them soft and sweet. For we are to always ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER AND BUILD EACH OTHER UP. Most of all, always think before you speak so that: THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH AND THE MEDITATION OF MY HEART BE ACCEPTABLE IN YOUR SIGHT, O LORD, MY STRENGTH AND MY REDEEMER. Amen! 1 THESSALONIANS 5:11 & PSALM 19:14

So when life throws you a curve, remember that the shortest distance between a problem and a solution, is the distance between your knees and the floor. After all the one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything!

There are times in our life when we find ourselves in difficult situations. Times when our faith is put to the test. We may even feel that God has abandoned us, and that we are all alone.

When you feel that way remember that it is written, I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. HEBREWS 13:5 SO WE MAY BOLDLY SAY: THE LORD IS MY HELPER; I WILL NOT FEAR. WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME. ( HEBREWS 13:6 )

Therefore, when you pass through the waters of difficulty, and the flames of distress, know that God is always there with you. For, THE LORD IS GOOD, A STRONGHOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE; AND HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM. NAHUM 1:7

So, always remember that you are walking, hand in hand, with your Heavenly Father when those difficult times arrive, and that He Loves You very much because you are one of His beloved children! Amen!

Sadly, as you know this World is filled with people who feel unloved, and will do almost anything to find it. What a shame it is that they do not know God, for it is written: GOD IS LOVE. WHOEVER LIVES IN LOVE LIVES IN GOD, AND GOD IN HIM. 1 JOHN 4:16

After all, whether they know it or not, everyone is surrounded by God's Great Love for it is like the oxygen we breathe; there is plenty of it for each of us, and still so very many are starving for it!

Why not reach out to another today, and share a little of God's love with them. After all Jesus said: "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF." ( MATTHEW 19:19 ) and He also said, "THIS IS MY COMMAND: LOVE EACH OTHER." JOHN 15:17

After all sharing God's Love is as simple to do as saying thank you to a store clerk, or just smiling at another and saying "How are you today!" Little acts of kindness like these go along way towards brightening up another's day, and by doing such things it brightens our day as well!

So, the next time you pray thank God for filling you with His Love, and remember to GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. Amen! PSALM 136:1

YOU, O LORD, KEEP MY LAMP BURNING; MY GOD TURNS MY DARKNESS INTO LIGHT. PSALM 18:28 *NIV

When you find yourself in darkness, or in others words, when you find yourself surrounded by troubles, you can always count on God to light a pathway through them. For, THE LORD IS GOOD, A REFUGE IN TIMES OF TROUBLE. HE CARES FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM. NAHUM 1:7

King David wrote: THOUGH I WALK IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE, YOU PRESERVE MY LIFE; YOU STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND AGAINST THE ANGER OF MY FOES, WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND YOU SAVE ME. PSALM 138:7 For, I LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE HILLS-WHERE DOES MY HELP COME FROM? MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD, THE MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH! PSALM 121:1-2

Therefore if you are experiencing troubles or worries in your life right now, CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU. ( 1 PETER 5:7 ), and it is through prayer that you may cast your troubles and worries on Him! For after all, THE LORD IS NEAR TO ALL WHO CALL ON HIM IN TRUTH. HE HEARS THEIR CRY AND SAVES THEM. Amen. PSALM 145:18

PSALM 27:14 For, THOSE WHO HOPE IN THE LORD WILL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH. THEY WILL SOAR ON WINGS LIKE EAGLES; THEY WILL RUN AND NOT GROW WEARY, THEY WILL WALK AND NOT BE FAINT. ISAIAH 40:31

After all, THE LORD IS GOOD TO THOSE WHOSE HOPE IS IN HIM, TO THE ONE WHO SEEKS HIM. LAMENTATIONS 3:25 For God has said: "THEN YOU WILL KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD; THOSE WHO HOPE IN ME WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED." ISAIAH 49:23

Therefore don't let disappointments cause you to give up, instead always HOLD UNANSWERINGLY TO THE HOPE WE PROFESS, FOR HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL. Faithful Indeed! HEBREWS 10:23

Now we can do that by obeying His Commandments and by loving our neighbor's as ourselves. For Jesus Christ said, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT. AND THE SECOND IS LIKE IT: YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS." MATTHEW 22:39-40

So, do your best to live by God's Commandments, and share your love with others so; THAT YOU MAY WALK WORTHY OF THE LORD, FULLY PLEASING HIM, BEING FRUITFUL IN EVERY GOOD WORK AND INCREASING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. For when you do, His blessings will flow abundantly to you! After all it is written that WHEN A MAN'S WAYS PLEASE THE LORD, HE MAKES EVEN HIS ENEMIES TO BE A PEACE WITH HIM. Amen. COLOSSIANS 1:10 & PROVERBS 16:7

Indeed we are healed of our transgressions, and iniquities through the forgiveness of our sins. For it is written; HE HAS DELIVERED US FROM THE POWER OF DARKNESS AND CONVEYED US INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON OF HIS LOVE, IN WHOM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. COLOSSIANS 1:13-14

When we think about how much forgiveness God shows oward mankind, let us remember the words of our Savior Jesus Christ, as he hung on the cross, "FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DO." So let those words be an example for you when you find yourself angry with another! LUKE 23:34

A minister parked his car in a no-parking zone in a large city because he was short of time and couldn't find a space with a meter. Then he put a note under the windshield wiper that read: "I have circled the block 10 times. If I don't park here, I'll miss my appointment. Forgive us our trespasses."

When he returned, he found a citation from a police officer along with this note "I've circled this block for 10 years. If I don't give you a ticket I'll lose my job. "Lead us not into temptation."

A minister waited in line to have his car filled with gas just before a long holiday weekend. The attendant worked quickly, but there were many cars ahead of him. Finally, the attendant motioned him toward a vacant pump. "Reverend," said the young man, "I'm so sorry about the delay. It seems as if everyone waits until the last minute to get ready for a long trip."

The minister chuckled, "I know what you mean. It's the same in my business."

A father was approached by his small son who told him proudly, "I know what the Bible means!" His father smiled and replied, "What do you mean, you 'know' what the Bible means?" Sunday after church, a Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson was about. The daughter answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilt."

Needless to say, the Mom was perplexed. Later in the day, the Pastor stopped by for tea and the Mom asked him what that morning's Sunday school lesson was about. He said "Be not afraid, thy comforter is coming."

There are many times in this life when our faith is put to the test. Times that we may even feel that God has abandoned us because a prayer isn't answered the way we want it to be. Know that it is written: THOUGH NOW FOR A LITTLE WHILE YOU MAY HAVE HAD TO SUFFER GRIEF IN ALL KINDS OF TRIALS. THESE HAVE COME SO THAT YOUR FAITH--OF GREATER WORTH THAN GOLD, WHICH PERISHES EVEN THOUGH REFINED BY FIRE--MAY PROVE GENUINE AND MAY RESULT IN PRAISE, GLORY AND HONOR WHEN JESUS CHRIST IS REVEALED. 1 Peter 1:6-7

Also know that sometimes what we pray for isn't God's will for us thus: THIS IS THE CONFIDENCE WE HAVE IN APPROACHING GOD: THAT IF WE ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE HEARS US. 1 John 5:14-15

Sometimes what we pray for would actually hurt us in the long run, and our Heavenly Father is protecting us from that. Other times we just can't understand God's ways for NO ONE KNOWS THE THOUGHTS OF GOD EXCEPT THE SPIRIT OF GOD. 1 Corinthians 2:11

However, we do know He loves us very much, and would never abandoned us or deliberately hurt us. So we must keep our faith knowing that God is with us and that no matter what happens He is in control! Therefore it is important that WE WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT. ( 2 Corinthians 5:7 ) trusting that God knows what is best for us, even if a prayer isn't answered the way we want it to be! Amen.

An Act of Obedience

CAST ALL YOUR ANXIETY ON HIM BECAUSE HE CARES FOR YOU. 1 PETER 5:7 *NIV

We are often filled with worry and anxiety in the fast paced World of ours today. When you think about it, what is worry but the opposite of faith!

Now Jesus Christ said, "I TELL YOU, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIFE, WHAT YOU WILL EAT OR DRINK; OR ABOUT YOUR BODY, WHAT YOU WILL WEAR. IS NOT LIFE MORE IMPORTANT THAN FOOD, AND THE BODY MORE IMPORTANT THAN CLOTHES? LOOK AT THE BIRDS OF THE AIR; THEY DO NOT SOW OR REAP OR STORE AWAY IN BARNS, AND YET YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER FEEDS THEM. AND WHY DO YOU WORRY ABOUT CLOTHES? SEE HOW THE LILIES OF THE FIELD GROW. THEY DO NOT LABOR OR SPIN. YET I TELL YOU THAT NOT EVEN SOLOMON IN ALL HIS SPLENDOR WAS DRESSED LIKE ONE OF THESE." MATTHEW 6:25-26; & 28-29

Therefore, know that God is always with you, and there is no reason to worry about what might happen. After all it is written: DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, FOR TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITSELF. EACH DAY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE OF ITS OWN.MATTHEW 6:34 So instead DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING, BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD. And; LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE IN YOUR HEARTS, SINCE AS MEMBERS OF ONE BODY YOU WERE CALLED TO PEACE. AND BE THANKFUL. Amen.

WHERE THERE IS NO [REVELATION]*, THE PEOPLE CAST OFF RESTRAINT; BUT HAPPY IS HE WHO KEEPS THE LAW. PROVERBS 29:18 *NKJV

The Hebrew word for [revelation] here refers to the Words of God as received by the Prophets. Thus meaning: "WHERE THERE IS NO WORD FROM GOD, THE PEOPLE CAST OFF RESTRAINT."

Now just think for a moment what our lives would be like without the Word of God. There would be no peace in our lives, and we would be void of God's Great Love for us as well. We would have no one to give us strength, hope and faith when dealing with the problems in our life! Our lives would therefore be truly empty, and worry and confusion would rule in our lives!

As Children of God we read and study His Word, and know of His Great Love and Compassion for us! We also know that we are in Him and He is in us, for it is written: FOR IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING. ACTS 17:28

Thank Heaven that God chose us to be His Children for it is written: YOU DID NOT CHOOSE ME, BUT I CHOSE YOU AND APPOINTED YOU. JOHN 15:16

So the next time that you count all of your blessings, remember to also count the fact that God chose YOU to be a Child of His! Just think of how important YOU are to God, and what a blessing it is to be selected as a Child of His! Praise The Lord! Amen.

GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US. ROMANS 5:8 *NKJV

As you already know God loved us so much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to die for us. Not because we were perfect, but because He loved us that much! There couldn't be a greater demonstration of His love than that! He even loved us when we were living in sin, that is before we became Christians.

Now that we are Christians we realize the tremendous price that our Savior Jesus Christ paid for our sins, AND WE HAVE KNOWN AND BELIEVED THE LOVE THAT GOD HAS FOR US as well. 1 JOHN 4:16

After all, GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD MIGHT BE SAVED. JOHN 3:16-17

So, never doubt God's Great Love for you, after all you are His Child. Further, He is not a God waiting to punish anyone, but a Heavenly Father who has tremendous love for His Children! So if you ever feel unloved, and all alone, reach out to Him for He is always there with open arms waiting for you!
