Sony is in the headlines at the IFA consumer electronics show with the launch of its second iteration smartwatch in US. There is no confirmation about its launch in India but may come soon. Last year, with the launch of its first SmartWatch, the company could not really impress. Now, this latest Sony SmartWatch 2 has been refreshed and offers a lot more functionality. It comes with an upgraded interface and quite slim hardware design. To maintain and improve its functionality, the company has made some needed changes. The gadget is square packed in an aluminium body. It is 9mm thick which will comfortable fit even under a short cuff. Following the smartphones such as the Xperia Z and Z Ultra, this smart-watch is also waterproof with an IP57 rating. With the host of new features, Sony will compete with the Samsung's latest Galaxy Gear.

In detailed about the watch, it personally act as a second screen to show incoming calls and texts of your smartphone. It connects to the Android smartphone pretty easy using NFC and Bluetooth. Google is calling the next version of its mobile operating system Android KitKat

The news comes as a surprise as the

firm had previously indicated version 4.4 of the OS would be Key Lime Pie.

A splash page for the new operating system reveals that KitKat will be the codename for Android 4.4, not the long-rumored Android 5.0. The name keeps the company's long-standing tradition of naming each version of its mobile operating system after desserts.

Privacy Bug Detected in Facebook,Hacks CEO's Page

Unemployed Palestinian programmer Khalil Shreateh discovered a privacy bug in facebook and said that his intention was not wrong , he just wanted to collect the traditional $500 bounty the social network giant offers to those who voluntarily expose its glitches.

But when Facebook ignored his first two reports, Shreateh took his message to the top — and hacked into CEO Mark Zuckerberg's personal page to prove his point.

He wrote on CEO Mark Zuckerberg's personal page:

"Sorry for breaking your privacy," he wrote the Facebook founder, "I has no other choice to make after all the reports I sent to Facebook team ... as you can see iam not in your friend list and yet i can post to your timeline."

The stunt performed by the 30-year-old guy Palestinian earned him praise — and numerous job offers — for being able to get to the boss of the world's most ubiquitous social network.

Shreateh lives near the West Bank city of Hebron and has been unable to find a job after his graduation two years ago in IT .He told Facebook that he found a way that allowed anyone to post on anyone else's wall.

"I told them that you have a vulnerability and you need to close it," he told The Associated Press. "I wasn't looking to be famous. I just wanted to make a point to Mark (Zuckerberg)."

"As a few other commenters have pointed out, we get hundreds of reports every day," Jones wrote. "Many of our best reports come from people whose English isn't great — though this can be challenging, it's something we work with just fine and we have paid out over $1 million to hundreds of reporters. However, many of the reports we get are nonsense or misguided, and even those ... provide some modicum of reproduction instructions."

Nevertheless, he said, "we should have pushed back asking for more details here."

He went on to say that Shreateh would not be paid from Facebook's bounty program because he'd violated the company's terms of service — namely by posting items to the Facebook pages of users he should not have had access to.

"The more important issue here is with how the bug was demonstrated using the accounts of real people without their permission. Exploiting bugs to impact real users is not acceptable behavior for a white hat," he said, using an industry term for ethical security experts.

Jones added that the bug was fixed Thursday. Facebook declined to comment beyond the post.

The bug — and Facebook's response to it — has become a talking point in information security circles, with many speculating that the Palestinian could have helped himself to thousands of dollars had he chosen to sell the information on the black market.

Shreateh said he was initially disappointed by the Facebook response but that after being inundated by job offers from all over the world he is pleased with how things worked out.

"I am looking for a good job to start a normal life like everybody," he said. "I am so proud to be the Palestinian who discovered that exploit in Facebook."

Go to the “Performance” tab of the Task Manager and you will have an overview of what is happening in the system. If your computer is running slow, you can pinpoint whether it is due to the hard drive, the CPU or the lack of memory available to applications.

4. Troubleshoot problems

One of the best features in Windows 8 is its highly effective and powerful Troubleshooting feature. Now, whenever you face any problems with the your OS, you don't necessarily need to ask an expert for help.To access the Troubleshooting wizard, go to your Control Panel then- System and security then- Find and fix problems.In the screen that appears, click on View all to display all the automated packs in the OS.From here, users can troubleshoot over 20 commonly occurring problems including hardware issues, network connections, performance matters, setting up a printeror a TV tuner - and even overall system maintenance.

5. Manage Your Startup Programs

The Windows Task Manager now allows you to easily disable programs that start with your
computer. Click the Startup tab in the Task Manager to access these options.

Windows also analyzes how long each program takes to start and displays this information in the Startup impact column. Select a program and click Disable to prevent it from starting with Windows, speeding up your startup process.

6.Modify Power plans

Windows 8 uses power plans to determine whether battery life or performance should be prioritized, just as previous versions of Windows do. To view your power plan settings, press the Windows key, type Power Plan, click Settings, and press Enter.

In the default Balanced mode, Windows automatically reduces your CPU’s speed when maximize speed isn’t needed. This saves power. To squeeze all the performance you can out of your hardware, you may want to try High performance instead. In High performance mode, your CPU’s speed is never reduced. It runs at full speed all the time.

However, this isn’t necessarily a good thing. Even high-performance gaming PCs are used for web browsing some of the time and it doesn’t make sense to run the CPU at full throttle while browsing the web. This just wastes power and generates additional heat.

Whichever plan you choose, make sure you aren’t using Power saver. This is only useful if you want to squeeze as much battery life out of your laptop as possible.
