About one-half of the people who sit for the California real estate salesperson's exam, fail. All of them have the required three college level courses. For most, simply completing the three online college level courses is not enough to pass the exam and get a license.

I have live classes on Wednesday nights from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The classes are streamed live on the internet.

The next class is on the subject of Appraisal. All are invited to attend this session, as our guest, at no cost or obligation.
Space is limited.
Those who pass the examination are provided a license application which must be submitted to and approved by the DRE.

This license is required of individuals who conduct licensed real estate activities as described in the Real Estate Law under the supervision of a licensed broker. A license may also be obtained by a person who does not immediately intend to be employed by a broker. However, a salesperson without an employing broker may not perform acts requiring a real estate license.

General Requirements
• Age: You must be 18 years of age or older to be issued a license.
• Residence: Proof of Legal Presence in the United States is required.
• Honesty: Applicants must be honest and truthful. Conviction of a crime may result in the denial of a license.

Failure to disclose any criminal violation or disciplinary action in an applicant's entire history may also result in the denial of a license

"Real Estate Requirements in California
by Victoria Hunter, Demand Media

Real Estate Requirements in California

California has some of the most expensive real estate in the U.S.

In 2010, there was one real estate agent for every 48 Californians over the age of 25, with slightly more than 479,000 licensed agents in total, according to the 'Orange County Register.' Of course, not all of these licensees practice real estate, leaving lots of room for new agents. If you are thinking of becoming a real estate agent in California, you need to meet certain requirements. Although the process may seem like it will be lengthy, if you apply yourself diligently to the education portion, you can be licensed and listing and selling homes within a few months."

Related articles

California Department of Real Estate Issues Informational Pamphlet on the Residential Real Estate Escrow Process in California (eon.businesswire.com)

"FOR RELEASE
Monday, Oct. 4, 2010
CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® releases its California Housing Market Forecast for 2011:
Small increases projected in both home sales and median home price
LOS ANGELES (Oct. 4) – A weaker-than-expected economic recovery will result in a projected decline in California home sales for 2010, although home sales are expected to edge up slightly in 2011, according to the CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) “2011 California Housing Market Forecast” released today.
California home sales for 2010 are forecast to decline 10 percent from the 2009 sales figure of 546,500 homes sold. Sales in 2011 are projected to increase a lackluster 2 percent to 502,000 units compared with 492,000 units (projected) in 2010. After two consecutive years of record-setting price declines, the median home price in California will climb 11.5 percent in 2010 to $306,500 and increase another 2 percent in 2011 to $312,500, according to the forecast."

Related articles by Zemanta

Realtors see hope in challenging market (lansner.ocregister.com)

One of the biggest challenges real estate investors face is keeping the profits that they earn from their investments. Just like any other business, the IRS is going to want to take as big a chunk of your profits as possible, and knowing how to use the system to your advantage will help you keep as much of your hard-earned investing cash as possible.

One of the best ways to limit the financial impact of taxes when it comes to real estate investing is to be able to claim “Real Estate Professional” status on your tax returns. If you can do this (and that’s a big IF), you have some hefty tax advantages you can leverage to keep more of your investment profit. That said, there is a lot of misinformation about what it means to be a “Real Estate Professional,” so hopefully I can cover the basics here.

Related articles by Zemanta

7 Mistakes Every Real Estate Investor Makes and How You Can Avoid Them! (realestateradiousa.com)

Could it work? Who knows. She certainly has name recognition, and I’d bet she’ll get a few calls from curiosity seekers.

Those who are thinking of relocating to California should first find out as much as possible about the current real estate market. First determine if it is a buyer or seller market in that location. A buyer's market usually is defined as a market that is favorable to the buyer. In other words the homes that are selling in the area have been on the market for a long period and the seller is ready to deal at any price. A seller's market is more favorable to the seller. Homes in the area are selling fast in a seller's market and buyers are eager to buy a home. Here are a few important facts about the California real estate market.

Living cost in California are higher and many presume that real estate is also high. This is not always true. One should seek out the popular areas that also have great investment homes. According to recent statistics favorable areas to invest in real estate are Oakland, San Francisco, And Riverside. These areas show signs of improved growth. Sacramento and San Diego are seen as very bad real estate areas.

Recent statistics show that overall home sales in California actually improved during the last few months. Statistics also show that the average price for a sold home in California was $270,000. This is an 9.8 increase over a year ago. Showing the sad state of the economy, most sold homes were recent foreclosures. Statistics also show that foreclosures on homes in California have decreased slowly over the last year. And the typical mortgage for an average home in the state was about $1, 125.00, a slight decrease from a year earlier. The current trends in the California real estate market seem to be stable at present. But of course this could easily change at a moments notice as more and more people enter the real estate market.C
