I have been using this cool technique for a while now. It drives quality targeted traffic to your blog/site for FREE. What it basically does it send you alerts as blogs are updated so that you can be the first to comment. (The first comment usually gets their link clicked the most times!)

URLs to add to your ping list in Wordpress

Wordpress sends pings when you add new post. A good thing about using Wordpress is that you can edit the list of services you ping. However, you should be careful with your ping lists depending on how often you publish. Plenty of them (pingoat, pingomatic, etc) ping multiple services. If you have 3 of them on the list and then an entry for a service that they already pinged, then you’re hitting that service 4 times with each post.

Youtube switches from nofollow to Ajax nofollow

Well, youtube links just went from being nearly worthless to being completely worthless. Statistics and Data used to just be a hidden division of 5 external no-followed links, now it’s totally disappeared from the html and only gets transferred to the page (via ajax) upon a click. There’s no chance these will still count as backlinks is there?

It’s a big misconception - having duplicate content does NOT mean your domain will definitely be penalized! Need proof? Just check the all the huge news sites: CNN, Reuters, Yahoo, etc. They all publish news from the same agency sources.

Is Wikipedia forced dofollow?

We all know that Wikipedia puts a nofollow on all of their outgoing links. There is no way around it - if you put your link up on Wikipedia, it will be nofollowed. The thing about these Wikipedia links, however, is that they seem to pass a definite amount of link juice.
