The illegal alien lobby is still out-numbering us on appearances at the Capitol and on phone calls and emails. We really need your help. Please share with your friends and neighbors!

Please call and email the Judiciary (non-civil) Committee. The information is below. The (R) before the name is "Republican" and "D" for "Democrat." (I know you know that, but want to make sure that this format made sense to you.) Save time and just call the Republicans. Some of the members share Admin. Assistants. If you notice a number is repeated, just mention all the names associated with that number and say something like:

"As a Georgia Citizen and voter, I am calling to ask that you please leave a message for ............

(insert representative's name) to please vote YES for Representative Matt Ramsey's bill, HB-87 out of committee for a YES vote on the floor. We want our laws enforced and will be watching. Thank you very much."

This is a very critical "do it or lose it" time for this bill. We REALLY need your help. Do you want the " pro-illegal immigration lobbyists" to win? I know you do NOT! Georgians need those jobs. Please call and email. At the bottom of the page are all the Republican email addresses in proper format to "copy and paste" into the "bcc" part of the email that you send if you want to send to all of the "Honorable Representatives" at one time.

Thank you so much for your activism

WHY? This is where your voice will be heard! And it won't take long and YOU will be part of the machine that runs the country.

Saturday morning NO LATER than 10AM
(You can only be a spectator if you are not in line at 10 so get there early)!

You will become a precinct delegate, alternate, or maybe even the chairperson or secretary for your precinct. That is all we will really do that day. You may even bring names of people with you who would like to be a delegate in your precinct with their permission.

YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED VOTER IN YOUR COUNTY, IT IS NOT MANDATORY FOR YOU TO BE A MEMBER OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY FOR THIS MEETING BUT..

IF YOU BECOME A DELEGATE/ALTERNATE, we need you to be there (usually same meeting place) on March 12 by 10am so that you will get to vote for your county Chairperson and other positions.

YOU WILL NEED TO JOIN THE COUNTY GOP AT THIS TIME TO VOTE

There is usually a fee for this event to cover costs. Fayette county is $25 for the convention and an additional GOP membership fee. (Usually $35 individual and $50 family) Counties may vary. Not all positions are elected, but rather appointed by the chairperson.

This Saturday, get a feel for whose running for your county Chairperson and take the month to find out who will best represent your county in the Republican Party. Get to know your neighbors and begin groups to get active right in your neighborhood.

If you know of someone who may be good at this, get them there! We need people who will begin to work at the grassroots to scrutinize candidates and the legislation they vote on.

Bring your voter registration card or visit http://www.sos.ga.gov/mvp/ fill it out and print it out!! Bring it with you to the meeting. See you Saturday!
--For locations, go to: http://www..gagop.org/convention/feb12meetings.php and click on your county.
The award is given to members and prospective members of State and Federal office that commit themselves to reducing the overall cost of doing business in the State of Georgia.

“I am very proud to receive this honor from the State of Georgia Tea Party, LLC, because I fully support reduced impediments to profitability and job creation. Profitability is a key ingredient to incentivize entrepreneurs to put at risk valuable investment capital to create jobs. Businesses in Georgia are being strangled by excessive government abuse from the Federal government.” Costa said. “The only way to create jobs is to invest private capital, savings, into productive areas providing goods or services. Rules and regulations erode profitability and any incentive to invest that capital.” Costa said.

Since May 2010, the State of Georgia Tea Party, LLC, a grass roots Tea Party services organization, has worked to give voice to constitutional and fiscal conservatives living with the inspiration of the Founding Fathers. The organization has led a statewide movement to help elect constitutional and fiscally responsible Conservatives. “The Tea Party folks get it, Control must come from the bottom up... not top down! Individuals at the local level are the people who create the jobs, Washington needs to stop micro managing Georgia’s economy. Without the potential for a profit there is no incentive to invest hard earned capital. Without real capital investment of real dollars there is NO job creation.” Costa said.

Costa is committed to trying to reduce and curb rules and regulations that destroy job growth. Costa also understands that lower capital gains and income tax rates also provide incentive for job creation. “For every dollar that leaves Georgia and goes to Washington there is that much less capital that can be used for Job Creation. For every printed dollar that comes to Georgia in the form of a Federal Grant inflation increases and the positive effects of real capital investments are diminished" Costa added.

The State of Georgia Tea Party, LLC is proud to award Will Costa our Ronald Reagan Job Creation Award on behalf of the citizens of the great State of Georgia.

Message From "Fayette Local Issues Tea Party"

If you oppose Mass Transit Buses for Fayette County these two mayors hold the votes that will decide the fate of the West Fayetteville Bypass and the inclusion of mass transit buses in Fayette County.
This Resolution reflects the will of most of the people of the tea party movement in Rome and Floyd County and is being distributed to political leaders in local, state, and federal government; to tea party movements throughout the nation, and to various media, local and national.

Randy Smith, a TEA Party 2010 leader, said, “ Tea party folks are substantially concerned about the essential problem our nation faces, violations and manipulations of the Constitution. Just as our founding fathers did, we have decided to ask for divine guidance by our Creator to bring wisdom to our political leaders to follow the objective rule of law provided by the Constitution."

A Resolution

The Rome/Floyd GA TEA Party 2010, being deeply impressed with apprehension of the great dangers to be derived to the United States of America and the sovereign state of Georgia from the current unconstitutional manipulations of the law by President Barack Obama, Vice-President Joe Biden, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, deem it highly necessary that in this year 2010 the first day of June, July, August, September, October, and November be set apart by members of this organization as a Day of Fasting, Humiliation, and Prayer, devoutly to implore the divine interposition of God, for averting the heavy calamity which threatens destruction to our citizens’ inalienable rights and the evils of lawlessness, to give us one heart and mind, in answer to prayer and fasting, that the minds of the President and all leaders of Congress would be inspired from above with wisdom to read, listen to, and be controlled by the ratified, objective rule of law of the United States Constitution. This resolution called for on May 20, 2010

"The surprising announcement that Congressman Bart Stupak is abandoning his campaign for re-election shows the power of the tea party movement. Stupak was not longer able to hide his betrayal of conservative principles because the tea party movement was determined to educate the voters in his district of his vote of betrayal for Obamacare.

During the past few weeks the Tea Party Expresss put together a formidable campaign to defeat Bart Stupak. Two days ago we began a $250,000 TV and radio ad blitz. For weeks we've been organizing tea party rallies specifically targeting Stupak for defeat.

"Last night in Ironwood, MI some 400+ people turned out for a rally against Stupak, which is almost 10% of the city's population. We are currently en route to Escanaba, MI where a giant rally is planned.

"People in this district are furious with Bart Stupak. He betrayed his constituents and his own principles. Those who helped him win electoral victories of more than 60% in the past were now working to defeat him.

"There has not been a similar national push in the Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Michigan as is currently underway by the Tea Party Express. This effort is historic, and it has been possible because of the disgust voters have towards Stupak's betrayal of those he was supposed to represent.

"Just as Scott Brown was propelled to vicoty in the U.S. Senate thanks to the tea party movement, now Bart Stupak appears to have succumbed to the movement's strength as well.

"Our movement is real - it is not Astroturf, and we're not going away. November 2010, here we come!"
URGENT - HEALTH CARE LEGISLATIVE ALERT:

Tomorrow [now today...] HB 1184 will be considered on the floor of the Georgia House of Representatives. The measure was introduced by Rep. Matt Ramsey, (R-Peachtree City) and originally co-sponsored by Tom. The measure proposes to expand free market principles on behalf of Georgia consumers by allowing health insurance products sold in other states to be sold across Georgia state lines.

This is a critical measure that is supported and promoted by conservatives in Congress and in state legislatures around the country as a market driven alternative to health reform that empowers consumers.

Some highlights:

The measure stands in stark contrast to the health care reform approach that was approved in Congress on Sunday night that expands the role of government in the lives of families and small businesses more than any other piece of legislation in modern history.
The left wing special interests are working diligently to defeat the bill. Rather than allowing Georgians a range of options to find a plan that fits their individual needs-special interest groups are standing in between doctor and patient.
The Democrats want to continue the imposition of a one-size-fits all insurance policy which has led to a stifled market place and over one million uninsured in Georgia.
Given the fact that our federal government has just passed a mandate that every American buy health insurance, whether they want to or not, the least we can do is open up the free market--and ensure Georgians the freedom to choose in health care.

We need your help! The special interests are lobbying members of the House intensely and we need you to make sure the voices of conservatives are heard.

Tom Graves urges you to contact all members of the Georgia House of Representatives and urge their support of this important measure tomorrow.

THANK YOU GOVERNOR PERDUE!!!

We HIGHLY applaud Governor Sonny Perdue for his strong stance for Georgians regarding Obamacare, and we ask you to let him know we support him appointing a temporary "Special Prosecutor" to bring this lawsuit forward, since our Attorney General will not.

Please visit http://www.facebook.com/l/a2ff0;teapartypatriots.org/Default.aspx and sign our online petition to repleal the bill. We are up to 82,000. Let's make it 100,000 by the end of the weekend!

TEA PARTY CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR?

Tea Party Patriots will NOT be endorsing any candidate in the Georgia Governor's race. We have many members and opinion is divided between the candidates. We encourage our members to study the candidates, their records, and their issues for themselves.

There is NO "Tea Party Candidate for Governor" !!!

As I wrote to you previously, I am responsible for our online outreach and social networking. These mediums have proven to be a very successful tool for the tea party movement as a whole, and we here at the Tea Party Express in particular.

Let me be blunt, please, and I hope I don't come across as too pushy or harsh. But there are some realities we all have to face.

In just 3 days we kick off the "Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out" tour with what will be the historic - and massive - "Showdown in Searchlight" tea party rally in Harry Reid's hometown of Searchlight, NV.

This will be the first major national tea party event since Congress thwarted the will of the people and rammed through their government-run health care monstrosity. So we have to make this a huge success. We have to show the determination and resolve of "We The People."

Success is our only option, and I know that our resolve to take our country back is now stronger-than-ever. If the politicians and media thought we were going to go away, boy were they mistaken. We just got betrayed once more, and we're more determined than ever to boot every Member of Congress who has been a vote in support of this continued 'slide towards Socialism.'

This movement began, as you will recall, with the earliest pre-Rick Santelli tea parties hosted by Ron Paul supporters and Libertarians who were mad that the Republicans in Washington had sold out their principles. By the time of the bailouts and the "throwing Free Market principles out the window" comments were made by some leading Republicans, that coalition had grown to include many conservative Republicans and Independents. We're all a diverse bunch, and we don't always agree at every step of the way. But in the areas where we do agree, our united efforts can be powerful!

We fought for policy changes to restore Constitutional principles to Washington.

We battled against Cap&Trade. We protested the continuing bailouts. We decried the government-takeover of sectors of our economy. And we organized one of the most extensive grass roots pushbacks against legislation in American history.

With a Democrat in the White House and Democrats controlling the House & Senate they were unable to pass through this legislation time-and-time again for nearly one-year, because of the pressure and heat from the tea party movement.

It was only this week that the last few sellouts relented to the pressures of the liberal establishment over the will of the people, and yes as a result, we lost a major battle on a vitally important issue.

So now we must work to defeat these politicians, who have betrayed or failed us, one-by-one. That's what this Tea Party Express III: Just Vote Them Out tour is all about. It's funny and a bit ironic for me to look back on our history in this movement. When the Tea Party Express effort first launched last year, the biggest criticism we got from some people was that we were "too political" and wanting to get involved in elections, instead of involved in the policy debates on Capitol Hill. We felt both fronts were important, and brushed off the criticism.

Well now everyone seems to agree that we have more than enough evidence, and track records and voting records of those in Congress to know who to hand a pink slip to. Having further dialogue with these majorities that are passing bailouts, the stimulus, record deficit spending bills, supporting government takeover of the economy, etc... is futile. They've heard our protests, read our letters and emails, and thrown away our FAXes. Because they've decided that their agenda is more important than our views, in spite of their roles as public servants.

They have thus failed in their duties in this profession that we, the voters, serve as employer and supervisor. And now we're going to fire these failed politicians.

So with all that said - here is my request to each of you. Please help me. Help me do my job to make sure that in these final 3 days we get the word out about "Tea Party Express III" - and the 42 tea party rallies across the country accompanied by the launching of campaigns to defeat the worst offenders such as Harry Reid and Bart Stupak.

And help me ensure that this "Showdown in Searchlight" is so big, and so powerful of a statement, that it propels even further success for us and our local organizers and supporting partners at each leg of the tour as it crosses the country.

Here's how to help. Two quick, easy steps:

1. The first event is obviously the "Showdown in Searchlight" (and the carpool from Laughlin to Searchlight before the event, and from Searchlight to Henderson after the event). So we need to get the word out in these FINAL 3 DAYS. Please make sure you've RSVP'd to the Searchlight, NV rally page on Facebook if you don't mind: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=306762704480

And then after you've RSVP'd please go to the upper-right hand portion of the event page. Under the Tea Party Express page is a link that says "Invite People to Come." Please invite all your friends on Facebook who support the tea party movement to come to this event. The more people we spread the word to, the bigger the turnout will be. If everyone pitches in, then your friends will likely help spread the word to their own network of friends, etc... all across this country. We couold have a huge impact on the crowd size for that day.

2. After the Searchlight event is over, we continue on to the other 41 rallies, including districts of a whole host of "bad" representatives in the House and Senate. So we'll need to make sure that the momentum we build off of Searchlight is carried forward to the other 41 rallies across America.

Thus my second request is rather obvious. Would you please do the same drill above for the Searchlight event, to anyone you can for the national "Tea Party Express III" tour? That event page to link to, to RSVP to, and to Invite Others to Come, is: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=230814665785

Thank you all for reading my plea for help. And thank you for caring enough to be involved in trying to make a difference. That what makes a movement like this so successful. The passions of the people in this movement are authentic. Nancy Pelosi, the liberal news media and others initially tried to dismiss the tea party movement by suggesting it was manufactured.

They tried to make the culprit Rush Limbaugh. Or the GOP. Or Glenn Beck. And on, and on... they called us "Astroturf."

Well, we're still here, in larger numbers than ever before, and we're going to vote you out of office to convince you once and for all how authentic, and large in size and popular support, this tea party movement really is!

P.S. As of today you can still get on a charter bus heading to Searchlight because more groups are still finding buses available at the last minute, and our team is working to match up requests for a bus seat (from people like you) with local organizers who still have room on a bus. Since so many like movies, you will surely appreciate this very well made chronicle of the TEA Party Movement as it emerged on the national, political scene in 2009. This film shows the involvement of American citizens from many different backgrounds as they educated themselves, united, organized, and ultimately descended on Washington, DC for the national TEA Party protest of 2009. This film also puts to rest any misconception about the TEA Party Movement being a racist response to Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency. At the movie’s conclusion, we will speak briefly about front burner political issues, the schedule for other TEA Party events in Atlanta, how to stay connected to local happenings, and the date and time of our next local event. Concessions will be available.

Please roll up your sleeves and get involved with this movement by learning what is going on, staying informed, determining what office holders you agree the most with, and voting for them and encouraging as many other like-minded citizens as possible to do the same.

Georgia Senator Judson Hill was joined by 29 other Senate Republicans last Thursday passing legislation protecting Georgians' rights to choose their own health care. Senator Hill authored Senate Bill 317 and has been working the past year to prohibit any government, state or federal, from forcing its citizens
to participate in any health care system.

Under Senate Bill 317 Georgia's citizens would be protected from being forced by the government to purchase health care. Existing private and government programs would not be affected by this legislation. Hill noted on the Senate floor that this measure prohibits any government from punishing an individual or business that does not participate in health plans, as well as protects health care providers from being forced to perform mandated medical procedures.

"Each person should have the right to participate in private health care, government health care, or exercise their right not to participate any health care at all," said Senator Hill. This bill simply protects those basic rights of choice that we all enjoy today."

On Wednesday, Senator Hill's Senate Resolution that would protect one's freedom to choose their own health care was blocked by Senate Democrats. Senate Resolution 794 would have allowed Georgia citizens to vote in November on adding a Constitutional Amendment to the state Constitution blocking any mandatory requirements for Georgians to buy health insurance. On Thursday, the Georgia Senate voted to keep SR 794 alive by voting to reconsider and sent it back to the Senate Rules Committee.

"While I would have preferred to let Georgians vote in November to change the State Constitution, my Senate Bill 317 which passed by Senate Republicans yesterday will still protect Georgians' right to choose the health care they want," said Senator Hill.

SB 317 now heads to the Georgia House of Representatives for consideration. Please call your State Representative and them to support this important legislation that protects your rights. If this legislation passes the House Georgia will become the 4th state to pass similar legislation.

A message from Asst Natl Dir Mellie to all members of Georgia's 7th congressional district on Patriotic Resistance!
