Angina Pectoris

So here we are again...

A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks. I recieved a littile giffed called "Angina Pectoris". It's a different way to tell that I got a "heart attack" for free. Not much I could do about it. The folks at the hospital where so kind to help me and now it's up to me to better my life and live.

So now I am sitting behind the keyboard wondering what I will do now. You all know that my wife and I try to raize a cute girl. And we all know that she needs us more then I need to do this.
Now it doesn't help to pounder your head against the wall and look backwards. Right now it's the future that counts.

Forgive me if I don't update this or that. It's not that important and other things will come and go.

It was a fun to have known you.
You never let me down.
With your 586 (known as the "baby pentium") processor and 128 Mb Ram you where retired but unbeatable!
I left you running in the cold and wet & dust and heat. Sometimes your head dropped off and then we glued it back on again.
Although your younger sisters and brothers showed things better and worked faster, your parts kept on running day after day.
Finally degraded as a router with some goodies in it, you burned out your core today.

It was a pleasure to mess you up, and it will be lot quieter without your buzzing in the background.

May you rest in pieces..

Cette application est une barre d'outils non intégrée directement à votre navigateur. Vous pouvez la déplacer n'importe ou sur votre bureau. Elle possède pratiquement tous les outils de Google et présente moultes options de configuration. Un filtre de pertinence permet d'éviter les sites pour adulte. Vous pouvez aussi sélectionner la langue sur laquelle les recherches doivent être faites, indiquer le nombre de résultats par page. L'utilitaire surligne les mots clés en couleur sur la page de recherche...

Don't have a lot of time at this moment to code but I tried to do something different fo GGSearch.

I present you the first screenie of GGSearchX (No it's not a search seartool for dirty pictures) a search tool for Linux X windows (in this case KDE only).

I am not thinking that it will be released soon but who knows how things go.

btw: Morgan and Jaqueline thank you for the baby clothes, Denise will look great wearing them!!

No Software patents!

"Under the influence of the patent system and big industry lobbyists, the European Union is on the verge of making a huge mistake: to pass a law that would legalize software patents."

Patents on software are just as wrong as expanding the patent system to literature. With patents on story elements, no movie could be published without having to firstly check whether there is any general idea in the storyline that someone patented during the last 20 years. Here's an example: At first sight, Dirty Dancing and Titanic are two very distinct movies. However, if there were patents on story elements, then the makers of Dirty Dancing could have sued the studio of Titanic. Both movies have a scene in which a poor boy takes a rich girl from a party of her social peers to a dancing party of his group, and she enjoys it. Dirty Dancing came out only nine years before Titanic, so any patent would still have been in force. No one knows whether James Cameron had that Dirty Dancing scene in mind as he wrote the Titanic script. Maybe Cameron never saw Dirty Dancing but the patent (if it existed) could be used against him anyway.

Question: How can I disable that startup screen?

Anwer: Searchtool options > Enable Splash screen.
That's it!, just tick the marker away from this option and you will not see it again at startup.
But stil feel free to help me.

It was kinda hard to see what option was enabled.

Think it is better now:

I will release this with the official GGSearch v3.8 update (v3.8.4 to be exact).

GGSearch friends can always notify me when they wanted it yesterday... I will send you the file.

Yes Finally it's done!

GGSearch v3.8 is released today.
I send out an email to all the donators, betatesters and translators so they have the change to download and use it before the rest of the world will hammer the website.

Thanx goes to Infacta (Groupmail pro), WinRar and Ultraedit for sponsoring their software.

a Special thanx goes to Bill Gray for his help with the Helpfiles and lim chee Aun for his beautiful icons that are now also integrated into the searchtool.

My gratitude goes out to the translators and betatesters, You all did a very good job.

Now I didn't put up the new website yet.. still working on it more or less..

Anyway this week i will make the new version available for everyone!
