		<title>Why I love stackoverflow.com</title>
		<description>I first came into contact with stackoverflow like many of you have by finding their posts in google searches when you need a quick programming answer. I was a little wary of the site because I thought it might be another roseindia type site. When I looked a little deeper I saw that unlike sites &lt;a href='http://www.ghettojava.com/2010/08/30/why-i-love-stackoverflow-com/'&gt;[...]&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

		<title>What’s wrong with this picture?</title>
		<description>via an email from a friend: I am porting some code and i ran across this gem: if ( false  ) { html.append(&amp;#8220;htkkd = &amp;#8221; + rs.getInt( &amp;#8220;htkkd44&amp;#8243; ) ); html.append(&amp;#8220;&amp;#60;br&amp;#62;htkkd = &amp;#8221; + rs.getInt( &amp;#8220;htkkd44&amp;#8243; ) ); } (IntelliJ) IDEA informed me that the &amp;#8220;if statement can be simplified&amp;#8221;. 		<title>Feelin’ Groovy</title>
		<description>I&amp;#8217;m starting yet another project at work using the grails framework. Loving the RAD. Will need to dig a little more into Gorm to map contraints between classes/tables. Can&amp;#8217;t wait till grails 1.2 is final and it is in the maven reporitoty. Still using 1.1.x&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

		<title>IDEA 8.1 update: All is forgiven</title>
		<description>Ok, after disabling/reenambling plugins and all the usual IDE troubleshooting BS tasks. I reallized the problem was with parsing my maven pom.xml file. Still not sure what caused it, but openining the IDEA specific .ipr file fixed the issue and the maven project opened correctly. Scratches head but grateful GJ&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

		<title>Netbeans: Keep it on the Down Load</title>
		<description>I love the fact that in the past 2 years, Netbeans have been the &amp;#8220;most improved IDE&amp;#8221; in the dwindling Java IDE market. Having said that, it&amp;#8217;s also a minor annoyance to keep downlaoding the next stable release constantly. It seems like there is a new &amp;#8220;release&amp;#8221; every 10 days. I barely had a chance &lt;a href='http://www.ghettojava.com/2009/03/23/netbeans-keep-it-on-the-down-load/'&gt;[...]&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

		<title>Stabbed by IDEA, hugged by Maven</title>
		<description>Famous last words I posted on twitter today, &amp;#8220;been (surprisingly?) productive today. I&amp;#8217;m going to finish ahead of schedule &amp;#8221; No sooner did I say that when Jetbrain&amp;#8217;s IDEA started to flake on me (see above). At first I thought it was a disk issue (logs pointed to the vfs) , so I wasted an &lt;a href='http://www.ghettojava.com/2009/03/23/stabbed-by-idea-hugged-by-maven/'&gt;[...]&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

		<title>DevNexus 2009: If you weren’t there, you missed a good one</title>
		<description>Attended DevNexus 2009 in Atlanta last tuesday and wednesday and it was great. Neal Ford lit the place up in his keynote and his TDD session. Definitely one of the best bang for your buck in terms of software conferences. Most of which have not figured out there is a recession going on. At 185.00 &lt;a href='http://www.ghettojava.com/2009/03/10/devnexus-2009-if-you-werent-there-you-missed-a-good-one/'&gt;[...]&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

		<title>Groovy, Grails will keep existing licenses</title>
		<description>From the man ( Guillaume Laforge) himself: As I said on my blog, and as is said on the FAQ, the license of Groovy will stay Apache 2. No worries to have there. To make a parallel, it&amp;#8217;s not because SpringSource acquired Covalent (the main Tomcat committers) that they made Tomcat change its license.
