Whether you are eighteen or eighty you can look and feel better with facial exercise.

There are sixteen major groups of muscles that influence how the face looks and these muscles are just like any other muscles in your body. As we age they lose tone and volume because the normal range of exercise that they perform in day to day life, like eating, smiling and facial expression is not enough to keep them from deteriorating.

Simple toning exercises can help to firm the contours of the face and prevent or reduce the visible signs of aging that inevitably take their toll as the years pass by. Another benefit of exercising the facial muscles is better skin quality. Exercise stimulates blood flow in the muscles and surrounding tissues, so the skin receives a better supply of regenerating blood. See how your face glows with vitality after only a few minutes of exercising.

I don't, however, want you to get the idea that exercising the face should be done aggressively or with great force. The facial muscles are not designed to work in that way. Just perform the techniques exactly as described and you will get most benefit. For the type of muscle toning we are aiming for there is no need to overwork the muscles - more is not necessarily better for this type of exercise

Natural Beauty Remedies

Using natural ingredients to make your beauty remedies at home is fun ,easy and inexpensive. A little change in your lifestyle is necessary to get an acne free healthy skin. Avoid spicy foods, eat lots of salads, juices and fruits. Also avoid smoking.

You should keep your skin clean. Wash skin with a mild soap or face wash ,then use a toner or rose water. Rose water is a very good toner and is great on oily skin.

Take a tomato slice and rub on the skin. After about 15 minutes wash face with cold water. It will help to remove the acne and any scars. Your skin will also glow from using the tomato.

Tomatoes are packed with great astringent and cooling properties to help reduce pore size and brighten dull skin. They are also rich in Vitamin C and Lycopene that battle aging.

Tomatoes absorbs surplus oil and also helps get rid of pimples, soften and nourish the dry skin. Relieves irritated skin from excessive sun exposure.

Tips For Glowing Skin

See What's Hot In Makeup
Glowing skin

Prepare a mask by mixing a slice of pumpkin with egg yolk and milk. Add the essential oil. Add one or two drops of red food coloring if you'd like it pink! Mix very well to make sure the color is evenly dispersed. Add the jojoba oil and Castile soap next, a little at a time, stirring after each addition. Mix well and the pour into clean container. To use, stand in the tub or shower and massage the sugar scrub onto your skin. Rinse.

ALMOND BODY SCRUB

2/3 cup ground almonds

1/3 cup oatmeal

1/2 teaspoon of herbs (lavender, chamomile, etc) (optional) Plain yogurt, milk, or buttermilk, sufficient to make a paste

Essential Oils for scent (optional)

Combine the dry ingredients in a blender or food processor until they are reduced to a coarse meal. Keep this "scrub base" in a glass jar with a screw top in your refrigerator until ready to use. When you want to use the scrub base, scoop out 1/4 cup into a small bowl, and stir in enough of the liquid ingredients (vary it by what you have on hand -- yogurt and milk are best, but water works) to make a paste. Yogurt and milk are natural exfoliates known as alpha hydroxy acids, and they will slough off dead skin cells even without the scrub. Scoop up the paste with your hands or a washcloth, and rub over your body to exfoliate peeling skin. Rinse thoroughly.

FRUIT SALAD BODY MASK

2 slices pineapple - rind removed
1/2 med. honeydew melon - rind removed
1 doz. green grapes
1 med. banana - peeled
1 med. kiwi fruit – peeled

Puree all ingredients in a food processor. Take a hot shower to moisten your skin and open your pores. Using wide, circular motions, rub the coffee exfoliant onto your skin with strong, even pressure. Shower off, pat skin dry, and apply a thin layer of your favorite body lotion.

Moisturizing Body Scrub

1/2 cup liquid glycerin
1/2 cup water
2 1/2 to 3 cups sugar or salt (white sugar, brown sugar, or table salt)
1 teaspoon solid coconut butter or solid coconut oil
6 drops of essential oil of your choice, or combine several (not to exceed 6 drops)
Combine glycerin, water, and one cup of sugar or table salt until the salt/sugar has mostly dissolved. Add the remainder of the sugar/salt until you have a rather pasty mixture, at a consistency you prefer. Meanwhile, melt the coconut butter or oil in a small container, in your microwave. MELT, but do not overheat. Stir the melted coconut oil into your sugar mixture, and stir well. Last, add the six drops of essential oils of your choice, stirring to blend. Melt and add more coconut butter or oil to reach your desired consistency. Transfer your mixture to an airtight container or jar, and cool until slightly thickened. Use as an after shower or after bath moisturizing body scrub.

Glycerin and Honey Sugar Scrub

1 cup fine loose salt or loose sugar
3 teaspoons liquid glycerin
1 teaspoon pure honey
3-5 drops of your favorite essential oil
Optional: Pinch of lavender blossoms (available in the bulk department of good health food stores), or chamomile, or dried herbs of your choice, chopped exceedingly fine.

Mix ingredients well and store in an airtight container. Add more liquid ingredients if you prefer a thinner end-product. Stir thoroughly before use. This keeps very well, and in fact, the honey acts as preservative. Use small amounts when scrubbing the nose, being careful not to irritate or get it in the eyes. Scrub elbows, hands, knees, and feet. Rinse in warm water, pat dry, and apply your favorite lotion afterward

See What's Hot In Makeup

How to Prevent Acne

Many young people as well as older adults suffer from Acne. There is really no “cure” for acne and one can only take measures to help prevent acne. Acne is a condition of clogged pores caused by overactive oil glands. This usually occurs in puberty and can continue into adulthood in some cases. There are some measures you can take to prevent acne or at least keep its severity to a minimum:

· Make sure that you keep your skin clean. Wash regularly. Washing regularly helps to get rid of the excess oil on your skin plus bacteria and dead skin cells that can clog pores and cause outbreaks.

· Get the proper amount of rest. Your body restores and refreshes skin cells while you are resting. Teenagers are notorious for not getting enough rest but it is essential in helping to prevent acne.

· Don’t squeeze or pick at pimples because this has the risk of producing a more severe infection.

· After you exercise take a shower so that the sweat does not contribute to clogging your pores and producing another acne outbreak. Make sure if you exercise at college, university, at work, there are shower facilities. You do not want to wait hours after exercise before getting a shower.

· Wear clean white t-shirts to help keep acne off your back. The white t-shirts tend to absorb the excess oils in your skin and will help to prevent acne on your back at least.

· Take off any makeup before going to bed. Again, the key here is to keep your pores clear of oil and bacteria and help prevent acne outbreaks.

· Don’t use oil-based sunscreen or skin lotions if you have a tendency for acne outbreaks. These will only contribute to the problem.

· After washing, you can also use a cleaning solution on your skin containing what is known as Salicylic Acid. This makes a good cooling sunburn lotion.

Honey can be used to smooth rough hands and is said to delay the aging process if a little is smoothed into the skin every night before bed.

Put 1 cup warm water in a bowl, add 1denture tablet.Soak hands for 10 minutes, rinse with warm water to whiten nails.
Harden nails by soaking in warm olive oil every 2 days.

Mince 10 cloves of garlic and mix with 150m1 (6f1 oz) of castor oil.
