Giada's New Cookbook, Giada's Kitchens, Due in September

God bless all Giada Fans. A very resourceful giada fan informed me that Clarkson otter will be releasing Giada's new cookbook, Giada's Kitchen, in September of this year. It's so new, it doesn't even have a cover image yet. I find myself wondering if the publishers took the cover photo before Giada got pregnant. Probably so, or at least they'll use a stock photo.

I was skeptical about Giada's fourth book for the this year, considering her pregnancy, but I was wrong and Clarkson Potter's website confirms it.

Pregnant out in Public

Last week Giada made an appearance at the premiere of the film Mad Money, sporting a very small baby bump. It's not even really visible in these pictures. Check out the photos at Food Network Addict for a better view.

Even though any pregnant woman in America would kill to have that body at 5 months of pregnancy, for someone that sees Giada's images all the time, I can tell that the changes are there. The pregnancy has not affected her Roman nose, but there is considerablly more shape in her face and body overall. As if she needed to be more womanly.

Giada Launches Everyday Gourmet Products

As a fan of Giada, I am not surprised that she has finally branded herself on some products. As a home chef and admitted skeptic, I am shocked that she has chosen these three products: olive oil, herbs, and balsamic vinegar. Honestly, I thought she would go the route of chef knives, salt bowls, or something more permanent.

But nevertheless, it has happened. Giada's face is now on three products as sold by Crate and Barrel: Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Sicilian Sea Salt and Tuscan Herb Mix.

Now that I've been rolling around in my head for a while, these products fit perfectly with Giada's theme of Everyday Italian.

To coincide with this product launch, of course, Giada appears on the cover of the latest Crate and Barrel issue.

Giada on the Cover of Redbook

Giada is appearing on the cover of Redbook this month. Man, what a difference a couple of decades makes for Redbook, huh? Used to be, Redbook was the best place to get recipes and homemaking tips. Now it's all about cleavage and sex.

But I digress. Take a look at this cover. This is awful. Giada is a beautiful, nearly perfect woman as is. There was no need for the photoshop artists to take her to skinny, long-neck whore land.

I'm reminded of this video about "real beauty." Ever wonder why all those covers girls and models look so good? Watch this video to find out. Pay close attention to the computer portion of the clip. I've actually done this before (the computer part, not the modeling).

Play Dress Up!

Check out this interactive site that lets you play paper dolls with Giada's figure and clothes. Included in her repertoire of clothes are some slacks, skirts, and those infamous low cut tops, including this one from the South Beach appearance earlier this year.

Giada is Pregnant!

Sources are telling us that Giada just announced that she is pregnant on the Today Show. We are currently searching for video and will have it as soon as possible.

It is confirmed! Giada is pregnant! Giada and her husband Todd are having a baby and the little de Laurentiis is due in April. In this video from the Today Show, Giade explains that she has been feeling queasy and ill from that wonderful 1st trimester Nausea.

Maybe she can spend those months writing a couple of new cookbooks. Who knows how the Food Network will deal with Giada's baby bump.

Giada Voted Model of the Week on AskMen.com

Titles be damned, AskMen.com has voted Giada de Laurentiis as the Model of the Week this week. Though Giada is not a model, she does have model looks, and she does a pretty good job of looking awesome all of the time. To be honest, when I heard about the AskMen article, I figured it was going to be a pretty sleazy droolfest over our favorite female chef. But I was proven wrong when I read this:

To look at her, you probably wouldn’t classify Giada as ultra-sexy in the same way you would Jessica Alba, for example. She’s more of the super cute and bubbly type. But anyone who’s seen an episode of Everyday Italian knows that there’s more to Giada’s sex appeal than straight looks. She has a way of charming the camera and a ways of gushing about the food she’s eating that does cruel things to a man.

Giada Entertains Natalie Morales' Son

In one of the more cute of Giada's appearances on The Today Show, Natalie Morales' son gives her a run for her money when he appears in the "Cooking With Giada" segment of the show. As a parent of a young child like this, I know it was probably amazingly difficult to get the child to cooperate, much less when in front of a camera and crew. Josh was pretty compliant and inquisitive, but you could tell that Natalie was thinking "Oh god, please don't embarrass me." Such is the life of a parent.

Food Networks new special "Giada in Paradise" airs tomorrow night at 9/8c. Join our favorite traveling chef (take that Rachael) as she tours the Greek island of Santorini.

Join host Giada De Laurentiis on the mythical Greek island of Santorini for a passionate discovery of the food, culture and breathtaking scenery that make up this ancient island paradise. Giada takes a fascinating journey through the idyllic beaches, Mediterranean cuisine and the whitewashed cliff side villages that dot the island.

It's an hour long tour of Santorini that will visit such culinary delights as stuffed zucchini flowers, warm feta, and baklava. I think that Santorini is the perfect place for Giada. The Greeks will not be able to help themselves from falling all over her.

Dallasites Check Out Giada

Recently, Giada paid the city of Dallas a big visit one one leg of her Everyday Pasta tour. This particular event had a Q & A, something that has been fairly commonplace during this tour. The Dallas Morning News has the story. My personal favorite question and answer was:

You come from a big family of Italian cooks. You're the most famous one, but where do you really rank? Who is your family's best cook?

(Laughing) Everyone will tell you they're the best! But I think my Aunt Raffaela is great, and my grandfather is the best of us all. My mom was not the best, as she'll admit, but then she was usually just trying to get food on the table fast enough to feed four kids.

My grandfather taught me to cook with passion; my aunt taught me to cook creatively. And Mom taught me how to get the food on the table quickly and easily. So I'm a combination of those three people.

Giada Fans Are the Greatest

Greetings all fans of Giada de Laurentiis! Last month, this web site celebrated its 1st anniversary, and I totally missed it. My name is Adam, and I am a huge fan of Giada. I orginally created this site because there was no central source of information about Giada, and trying to find information about her Giada's Family Dinners Tour was very scarce. I took it upon myself to scour the web to find all the latest information and pictures of the one we love the most. Oh sure, there is a message board out there for fans of Giada, but the requirements to get into the community are like applying to an Ivy Leauge University, and the information contained therein is subpar and mostly just full of recipes.

So GiadaFan was born.

I have come to learn that GiadaFans are some of the nicest and most generous people on the planet. I routinely get pictures from people that attend book signing just for me to have and post on the web.That is truly humbling, and I appreciate every single one of you.

Giada Shares Everyday Pasta Recipes on "Today"

Last week, Giada shared some of her favorite pasta recipes with an inside look into her new cookbook Everyday Pasta. She and Natalie Morales laugh and joke on the set of Today as Giada cooks a spaghetti with seafood and Pinot Grigio. On a side note, every time I see one of Giada's clips on Today, I can't help but think that the producers just flatter her and flirt with her at every chance possible ... even the intro clip and introduction is a little over the top.

Also, does it seem like Natalie Morales is a little bit smitten with Giada? Or maybe it's the food.

Giada Talks Cancer on "Today"

Thursday on The Today Show, there was quick expose about Giada and her late brother's bout with Skin cancer. If you have watched Giada's episode of Chefography, then this story is nothing new to you. If you haven't, check it out to learn a little more about our favorite chef and her life.

On a side note, it seems that Giada is taking on more and more types of segments and stories on the Today show, including the introduction of this segment and a expose on Kobe Beef here. With her extremely photogenic look and on camera personality, I think we are going to see a lot more of this. Who knows, you might see Giada sitting in Meredith's chair sometime. (Dare to dream).

If the first 30 seconds of this video doesn't make you extremely uncomfortable, you may not be human. Al Roker, in all of his glory, can help but flirt with Giada ON AIR in the most overt way possible. Quothe the Roker ... "YOU'RE HOT!" Which is funny because Roker is married ... publicly married to reporter Deborah Roberts. Oh, Al. Just look at how you've embarrassed Ms. de Laurentiis.

Now that MSNBC's video play has compatibililty with Macs, I will be able to check these out and give you the heads up. Right now, you can check out Giada on the Today Show's web site cooking up a delicious calamari and shrimp salad, plus Amaretto Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches. Yum.

I know this post is a little late, but somehow this article on USA Today skipped my radar in February. Such terrible luck considering the great picture, and some of the more personal information that has ever been revealed about Giada. Forget all the talk of her famous grandfather, her long term relationship with her husband, or how she manages to stay so thin. Let's get to the heart of the matter ... her size. According to the article on USAToday.com:

I have a difficult time with clothes," De Laurentiis acknowledges, pointing to her chest. "I'm petite, but most petite women don't have breasts and curves. I have a hard time getting clothes that fit right, and for some reason the pieces I have from him, it's as if he [Gilles Mendel] sculpted them for me."

I don't think anyone out there ever doubted that Giada had breasts and curves, but at least now we know she shops in the petite section. Also says Giada:

"I don't wear short dresses because I don't really like my legs.

I think a majority of the men out there might disagree. And we certainly like the shoes.

Chefography Week on Food Network

Giada at South Beach Food and Wine Festival

Alas, I was unable to attend the South Beach Food and Wine Festival last week. But J from Food Network Addict saw the whole thing and provided day to day coverage of all the events, including Giada's appearances. As we all have come to know here at GiadaFan, Giada is very very gracious and kind to her fans. From chatting while signing a book to taking pictures on the street with a fan, she is a class act. Get Your Very Own "Giada Apron"!

GDL Foods, Inc is selling a Giada-style apron straight off of Giada's official web site. It has only just now come to our attention, as only Giada's books had previously been for sale there. The apron is slightly difficult to make out, but it appears to be a white waist-apron with a blue drawstring and light blue writing. The letters appear to read "Bon Appetit! XO Giada" on a small pocket built right in.

The apron looks similar to the one Giada wears on Everyday Italian as well as on the front cover of the Everyday Italian cookbook. It's only 27.50. Pick yours up today.

I'm sold, but I think I'll be waiting for the men's model.
