And I quote...

2012-04-03T06:32:00.001-04:00

Trent Walton on Blogs“There’s something sacred about reading a blog post on someone else’s site. It’s like visiting a friend’s house for a quick meal ’round the breakfast table. It’s personal — you’re in their space, and the environment is uniquely suited for idea exchange and uninterrupted conversation. In many ways, we should be treating our blogs like our breakfast tables. Be welcoming & gracious when you host, and kind & respectful when visiting.” – Trent Walton

I am blind as a bat, like I can't see a thing. My contacts prescription is -8.00 and -7.00. I wear my contacts all the time and only put on my glasses before I go to bed. Well, the other day it was time to see the eye doctor and I decided to get some new frames too. They needed to be updated and better looking. Well, it turned out to be a good thing because I ran out of contacts..then they were back ordered...and never showed up so I have been wearing my new glasses for the past two days. Let me tell you, its been quite a challenge. I don't know how people wear glasses full time. I mean, can I tell you a what a disaster putting make up on was. I had my 10x magnifying mirror propped up on my nose and I still could not tell what I was doing. I did not go to the gym because I can't really walk straight with glasses on so running was totally out of the question.

They are cute and all but thank goodness I got my contacts back.

Emeralds and Diamonds...ohh my!

This is my life.

2012-03-21T06:28:00.001-04:00

Alli from Hooray just posted some lovely photos that she took with her phone about her goings on lately and she has inspired me to do the same. She also quoted this, which I found to be quite perfect.

phone snapshots{...}"small fragments of a larger, more meaningful whole." They're little pieces of us in our everyday lives, tied to countless thoughts and memories

Some snapshots of my life from left to right, top to bottom:

1. My family came to visit for the Philadelphia Flower Show, the theme was Hawaii. It was impressive and I have never seen so many orchids in my life. Last year's Paris was better, but it was nice to be around so much color and natural beauty.

2. My friend Angela of Angela MALICKI events gave me the Greek turquoise evil bead. It is for protection. She was wearing it on her necklace and I had never heard of it so she took it off her neck and gifted it to me. Just like that. She rocks.

3. Hawaiian Beer...love the packaging...will have to try it locally one day.

4. Alex and I are training for the Broad Street 10 mile run, we increase the millage by one every Friday. This Friday we will hit 7 miles. We have until May 6th to get ready. Its been a challenge and I am still waiting for my endorphin run.

Really, it can click in any time. You hear that body...get on that.

Happy Spring!

Happy First Day of Spring. I can't believe how nice it has been lately. It is even supposed to be in the 80's towards the end of the week. Mother Nature is really mixing it up this year. Have a great day.

Atlantic City

2012-03-19T06:17:00.002-04:00

On Friday, my two co-workers and I took a day trip to Atlantic City. We have been looking forward to this trip for weeks and it really was J U S T. P E R F E C T. The trip was exactly what we needed. Let me break it down.....

We statyed at The Chelsea Hotel, I have stayed there many times before and its the type of hotel where you want to take everything with you. The bedding, the bed, the lamps, the wall paper, like I want to have a bathroom just like theirs and yes...I LOVE hotels!

The 3 of us shared a room and we had enough clothes and shoes to last about a week. We blasted music and drank champagne while getting ready for dinner. We had a drink at The Chelsea Prime bar and then went to my all time favorite restaurant Gersole for dinner.

Dinner was perfect, of course I had a Margherita pizza. I could not go there and not have it. We then went to casinos and I gambled for the first time. Even though I lived in AC for two years I only played the slot machines like twice and I don't know how to play poker and I don't know the first thing about gambeling. Well, my friend and I played roulette and we won 100 bucks! It was so fun and every time we hit our color we cheered like we had won thousands! We then went dancing and just had the best time.

Saturday, was spent at the Spa where I had one of the best massages I have had in a long time and then we went shopping. It was one of those perfect 24 hours where everything went our way, we ate the best food, we drank the best drinks, had the best talks, laughed a ton and relaxed just the right enough.

I can't wait to do it again. Love you Elisabeth and Rachel!

Mom, the perfect hostess. What an amazing memory that I stumbled upon today while looking for a chicken recipe.

Do you fell the age you are or do you feel like your inside age is much older or younger than you really are? I am still thinking on this one.

I started reading this book last night because of the above story. I have said it once before and I will say it forever more, Rebecca Woolf really knows how to write.

This color palette has inspired me to finally get the guest room put together. I adore these curtains but need to find them. DIY maybe but I would rather not.

Sally! You are all over the web! I love IT! We met at our mutual friends wedding and bonded over our "King" names. She is the sweetest and a southern belle to the T!

I love this floor plan china.
