Hello everybody!

Merry Christmas (why am I always late on that one?) and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Again, job got in the way of blogging.... sorry! And now I need vacations so I am going to spend New Years in Edinburgh! YAY! I will tell you more about it when I come back but I have heard it is a great night there. (I hope to not die frozen there)

However, as some of you already know, I couldn't forget to edit the last issue of VivaLaModa!

Wow! I love the colors of this scarf! I think it will look great with those black/grey/brown winter coats we all have ;)

This is a colorful and fresh looking spring/fall shawl in cotton.I have used a painting technique and let the ink flow a bit make it looks like watercolor.
This cambric cotton is thin and very soft. You can wear it in many different ways. Flat on your head as a bandana or around your neck. Make it crinkled, twist it when it is damply and leave it to dry. The colors are different warm nuances of purple,brown,dark brown,fuchsia,orange and moore nuances of these.
This shawl is a one of a kind.
The fabric in this shawl is made by me in my atelier using the silksqreen technique.

Hello everybody!

First of all, I am so sorry I have been out of the blogging world for so long! I went on vacations to the US in August and after that I found I had tons of work to do at my job.. so tons of overtime.. arghhh!!

But I am finally back! And I promise some fashion reviews, gift guides, etc from next week on, when I have some more free time :)

However, as some of you already know, I couldn't forget to edit the last issue of VivaLaModa!

Yes, I know it has been a long time since I last posted. And that I disappeared without saying a word lol. I went on vacations! to GERMANY! And I was so busy trying to finish editing the VivaLaModa july issue before leaving that I totally forgot to update the blog. My apologies to all the fashion addicts out there ;)

Yes. I am 25 years old. ACK! Feels like an eternity and like the rest of my life will pass in a moment. I can't believe 25 years passed already... and I didn't even fully use them! Can I get a refund please??? =)

Cobalt Blue - Just try it!

Cobalt Blue is a color all designers have used in different collections, and even though it looks more like a winter color, it is also used in many summer collections! Made famous in the 80s, it is now back!

Why? Well, in my opinion, cobalt blue is a color that looks good on ANYONE! Blondes, brunettes, redheads, etc!
Yup. Don't believe me? try it on! Start with a small touch like a brooch, a silk scarf on the neck, a headband. Then build up from there, combine a cobalt blue shirt with your clothes. Or maybe a coat, why not? It will brighten those fall and winter days.

But beware! It looks good on anyone, but not with any other color! Use black, grey, white, silver for a more sophisticated look. Other people recommend to combine with yellow or brights like red, pink and green. For me that is too much color, but it all depends on you :)

You can also range from electric cobalt blue to softer tones, but I rather do the medium tones or deeper ones.

And of course I have picked a small selection of cobalt blue clothes and accessories for you!

VivaLaModa issue #3!

One of the reasons I have been so busy is the editing of VivaLaModa! It was finally published online at beginning of May and so far got really great reviews! =)

So... the new issue of VivaLaModa (the handmade fashion online zine) is out!!!

Fashion Trends: Accessories III - Headbands

Ok... so headbands might not be in the sytlebook for this spring BUT! I just got a haircut and I can barely make a ponytail so... for the first time in my life (not including when I was a kid lol) I am going to wear a headband! Of course, I don't have any, so I turned my head to Etsy to see if I could find any I liked.
I am all for thin headbands that are not too obvious lol - no fascinators (at least not until I get used to wearing headbands).

Headbands and hair pins, the things I am gonna need most these days (and probably for a long time cause I love this new haircut lol)!

Gloves!
But not any kind of gloves... fetiche gloves are, as usual, leather gloves. This time, the extra long version with short sleeved tops, the more classic ones and the casual look ones, all of them are fashionable this season!
I know Spring is here and the cold is leaving.. but until it is really gone, why not wear a pair of super soft and lovely leather gloves? =)

I love to see out of the ordinary beaded jewelry! =) Love this design. Really fresh.

With this necklace you can feel like it's spring already. The pendant has all the beautiful colors of spring: mauve, turquoise, purple and light pink plus all the beads are in a flower shape. Very hippi-like, isn't it?

I used perfect bohemian firepolished beads and japanese seed beads. The pendant is on a silver plated chain which closes with a heart shaped toggle clasp.

Fashion Trends: Accessories I - Bracelets

I'm back with much more fashion for you guys! And I think you will love this one. Or at least I will =)
I have always loved to wear all kind of bracelets, specially cuffs. In fact, I have tons of them (ehem, and even more earrings!!) and love to wear them in spring & summer.
But don't worry, you can also wear them in fall & winter. Just wear them over the sleeves of your turtle neck shirts. Fantastic look!

So what is in this season for bracelets? Basically: Rocker Cuffs. Big leather bracelets/cuffs with buckles, and metal. They are cool because they can be worn anywhere and with almost any trend or look. (well, probably they wouldn't match too well with a formal suit lol)

The new issue of VivaLaModa (the handmade fashion online zine) is out!!!

This second issue has 88 pages full of goodies picked by 20 collaborators.
Again, it focuses on handmade/vintage fashion and includes articles like Get the look of, decoration ideas, fashion trends, kids trends, makeup, tutorials, recipes and much much more!!

I specially love the designer spotlight (this issue the designer interviewed is Bonzie, also on the cover), get chuck's look (Chuck from Pushing daisies) and Queen of Cards (photoshoot made by Isis for the magazine with items from european etsy sellers).

I know I have really neglected the blog these last days! I feel really bad about it lol I was so busy with the magazine... But expect lots of fashion from now on, starting with: accessories! Oh, and there will be more giveaways ;)
