I am Scentsy Crazy!

This is the warmer I ordered from my friend who sells Scentsy. It's called Dainty Daisy warmer. I also purchased a purple light bulb to go in it. I wanted to put this in my bathroom because I just redid my bathroom in purple and can't wait to get this! I also want to get a mini warmer, but I decided to wait and see if they come out with one that goes with my purple theme. The scent that I purchased for the bathroom is Amazon Rain it smells so good!! It's a great scent for the bathroom.

I am more a "bakery" kind of girl (but not in the bathroom!). I pretty much use the bakery scents in the kitchen and my living room. Lately, I've been mixing scents my new favorite is Walnut Raisin Muffin and Vanilla Bean Buttercream it is heavenly! I've got tons of wax from years past and need to use them up. I like the mingling of scents it helps me get rid of waxes that have only one or two cubes in it some of mine are discontinued which is fine because Scentsy has a ton of new scents that I can't go wrong!

Winter Not My Thing

Oh my gosh!!! I so hate winter, I don't like the snow and ice and frigid temps. I'm more of a Spring, Summer, Fall kind of person. While I have lots to keep me busy over the winter I still want Spring to get here ASAP! I want to finish my porch, plant new plants and be able to go out and sit on my porch in the evenings. I know it sounds like I'm wishing my days away, I really am not just like to complain about the weather this time of year.

Spring will be here before we know it. It's already the middle of January! We are heading towards good weather can't wait!

Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 cups of sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 egg yolks
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and shortening with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Beat mixture until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes or until edges are set; do not let edges brown. Cool cookies for 1 minute on cookie sheet. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and let cool.

This is my first post! This blog is a little bit of everything. Recipes, Cricut goodies, my home and family, even my two Siamese cats, Chloe a 15yr old Seal Point Siamese and her little brother Phinn, a 4yr old Lilac Point Siamese. You will even get to see what I do in my yard! We moved to this house almost 4 years ago and have not done much landscaping at all right now we are in the process of replacing the poles that hold up the roof of the front porch. We just got the rotten ones out and the new ones we are going to beef them up with 1 x 6's it should look great after we are done, I'm not sure that I'm going to put the railings back on or not. Time will tell!
