Hello Beautiful Queens!  I just landed in Budapest and this town looks like it’s rocking!  I’ll report more over the next few days.

I hope you’re feeling like the Queen you are today.  Because, for women like us, it’s a choice to feel like a Queen or a slave girl.  To be a Queen or to be dis-empowered.

Just like happiness is a choice…Being in your power is a choice, feeling safe is a choice, feeling loved and appreciated is a choice and staying focused on your purpose is a choice.

Trust me:  There are more than a million distractions on your plate right now that could keep your good from you…new clients, new opportunities, new friends or the relationship you desire with your beloved.  Being a Queen doesn’t just happen to you, and it’s not about having life be easy…it’s about always raising your vibration to align with your truth, your calling and your purpose…the place where your greatest happiness dwells.

In the recording from yesterday’s weekly international radio show–which you can download here–we discussed how women sometimes use emotions to self-sabotage, by allowing them to be a guiding force…that too often the guiding force of emotions can change by the minute…and certainly is not Divine guidance.

For today’s Monday Motivation…I feel compelled to speak on:  Mixed Emotions.  I know in my own life, plus the emails I receive from so many of you, about the highs and low and the ups and downs of entrepreneurship (plus life, plus womanhood, plus Queenhood).

Managing the emotions of womanhood is an art. 

Discerning what is truly intuition, and what’s an emotional roller coaster ride (that can and will change quickly),  requires a Queenly wisdom.

Today, I forwarded Glenn a link to read an article about the mega success of one of my favorite life style bloggers.  I’ve been watching her on national morning shows, being brand the brand ambassador to a number of very sexy brands, and watching her Facebook “likes” skyrocket in the tens of thousands.  The article that I read, and thought he’d be interested in, was about her rise to fame and some of the new companies she’s joint venturing with.

When he finished reading the article, he said, “Wow.”  I said, “I know know, isn’t she amazing?!” 

He said, “Did you read the comments under the article?”  I hadn’t read the comments under the article. 

He read them out loud to me and they were S-L-I-C-I-N-G her. 

I was in complete shock, and let me share why:

As most of us women entrepreneurs, we may not do everything perfectly as we set up our businesses, however, we sure do pour ALL into them.  We give our time, our money, our hearts, our souls, our vision, our intention and our energy.  We give and give and give and then we give more.

We want to see our clients succeed, transform and grow.  We think about our clients outside of their sessions…while we’re driving, walking the dog, making dinner, etc.

And then…even though we receive SO MANY “thank you’s…you’ve changed my life…”, and TONS of testimonials, there’s always about 10% of the population who like to complain…and criticize…and be mean and lash out publicly.

I’ve received my share of criticism throughout the years, and believe me, it’s a spiritual opportunity when it happens.

Of course, the first thing I do is look within and see what truth is there, even when the truth hurts, and learn the lessons I need to learn.

I also get to see how “attached to other people’s approval” I am.

I get to see what I’ll focus on…the 90% or the 10%.

I get to see how strong or weak I am within myself.

I’m not naive that working with women & money is basically an automatic guarantee for stepping into people’s triggers about…well, everything! 

However, for most of the past 7 years I’ve been far more focused on the good that was occurring in my clients’ lives, than what women who didn’t apply the coaching, or wanted to quit needed to complain about.  As time goes on and more criticism comes in…(because the business, the money and the fame get bigger), I can easily go into thinking…

“Why do I need to keep working with women and money?  I’ve transformed my own money story…why not relax and enjoy writing about food and travel?  There obviously would be nothing to criticize about ‘light life style’ subjects.  I don’t need this anymore…”

And just about when the criticizers and complainers were about to get the best of me…2 things happened…AND in this order:

1.  Glenn showed me that the LIGHTEST of lifestyle fluff got publicly sliced in a way that even I haven’t yet, to date.

2.  THE MOST GLORIOUS entrepreneurial couple reached out to me on Facebook inquiring about my services.  Financially and biz wise, they are were I was about 7 years ago…not having much more than passion, drive, willingness to work and a dream of creating better lives for themselves and thus, the world.  I was so filled with a high vibration connecting with this couple, and they were so lit up by how Glenn and I can help them, I was reminded of my purpose, my truth and my calling.

So no, I’m not abandoning helping women and couples transform their relationship with money.  And yes, I will continue to travel and write about life style, food and fun.

And mostly today, I deepen more into the integration of what my life is meant to be used for, and that is to support the business, life and lifestyle of global women entrepreneurs and their mates to fulfill their callings and destinies “for such a time as this…”

Having left “life as usual” in April, where we enjoyed 2 months in Palm Springs, and then headed off to Europe on June 1st, I keep thinking “this vacation needs to end, and we need to get back to work”.  When the reality is, I CAN allow my life to have this “vacation-like” feel, and I am “working”…however, I’m no longer forcing myself to do the things I think I should for business growth, so it no longer feels like work.

I’m more free than I’ve ever been!  I listen to my intuition every day, and let divine guidance lead me.  I’m coaching women entrepreneurs all over the world, from all over the world, allowing myself to enjoy the global brand I once wished for and envisioned.

I’m also allowing the elements of life that I so deeply love:  travel, freedom, adventure, life style, spirituality, friendships, romance, femininity and all things “foodie” to be the core of my life.  I’m breathing into letting life “get that good”.

What a glorious journey deeper into my creativity, femininity and self-expression all of this travel has supported.  In my early years of business building, though a certain amount of “staying put” was needed to set up the necessary systems and structures of a new business, I can see now that had I added more femininity, partially meaning, more “out of the box” thinking and being, would have had my business be even “more me”, with more flair, passion and power.

Well, we live and learn!  Now that some of the structures are in place, I realize that I almost as easily could have set up the structures I needed on the road or mixed in having more fun.  I also realize that I may sound like I’m 118 years old right now, looking back at my life.

I’m just sharing my reflections, having completed a chapter and excited to, more consciously this time, create a new chapter.

As with all new chapters, new levels of consciousness are needed, that require new breakthroughs, that call for new miracles.

Sometimes I forget to ask for a miracle.  Sometimes I fall prey to “what is” rather than what “could be”.  And too often, I can start to believe how long others think something should take to manifest.

The Course in Miracles says, “There’s no order of difficulty in miracles.”  The Bible says, “Ask, and it is given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you.”

In addition to seeing some great views of the city, and learning more about the history and culture of Amsterdam, I found myself actually enjoying being a tourist.  There was a playful, unscheduled quality to it…something we women entrepreneurs rarely experience.  Watch this video where I explain more…

So for example, if I were in Los Angeles, a tourist activity I’d do is take a boat ride over to Catalina Island and spend the day there.  Where do you live and what tourist spots do you want to check out?

Traveling to new places of course lends itself to new adventures on a daily basis.  My husband and I both crave new experiences, and we also make sure that we take time for our relationship. Last night we had a delightful new experience at a small restaurant in Amsterdam, Il Fiore.  I promise you, do not judge a restaurant by it’s website!  The food here is SPECTACULAR and is “Gina DeVee Certified”.

We’re into sharing plates and enjoying a number of courses these days.  We LOVED the antipasto platter, and then devoured the we-couldn’t-speak-it-was-so-good-black-truffle-pasta-dish, and then, admittedly the Veal Saltimbocca was okay, however, the bread and olive oil = divine!

Relationship Tips:

1.  Let your man initiate your date:  We went to a ridiculously, off the charts, amazing restaurant here in Amsterdam 2 nights ago, Bistro Neuf, and it was so great…I actually wanted to go again.  (Glenn calls me a “repeater” when I do this).  However, he thought it’d be good to go somewhere new, and me, enjoying his empowered masculine leadership, loved following his guidance.

2.  Especially if you’ve been in a relationship for a while and you typically do the ordering:  Let him order.  Last night I had very quickly picked out what I want to order “in my head”…then Glenn made a few suggestions, and being in my feminine I said, “That sounds great, darling!”  And even though it’s not what I would have chosen, it did honestly sound great.  AND, much to my enjoyment, as you can see from reading above, his choices were scrumptious. 

3.  Do something special for your relationship everyday.  For those of us who have been blessed with great men in our lives, their love, support, and care can easily be taken for granted if we have the mindset of always thinking about “what’s next” in our careers.  Remembering to honor him and take time for him and listen to him can be just the TLC every relationship (and man) needs.

To sum up our experience last night, it wasn’t ordinary, it was yet another very special date night.
