(Nov. 21, 2011) – Lipscomb University officials recently announced the launch of a new Scout Award beginning in 2012 to honor scouts who have achieved the top rank in their scouting organizations.

The Scout Award is a $10,000 award for any incoming  freshman who is accepted to Lipscomb University and has received the  Eagle Scout Award for Boy Scouts, the Gold Award from the &lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

Nolensville-based Girl Scout Daisy Troop 234  collected new or gently used Halloween costumes to give to needy kids throughout October. 

By early October, the girls had collected more than 50 outfits ranging  from Disney princesses to Power Rangers and super heroes

The treats were used to welcome a unit home; and also given to soldiers who had recently returned home as well as those living on base. In Clarksville, women are making advancements across the world and the next generation in constant need for positive guidance. The Girl Scouts of America provide guidance, education, and sisterhood and Thursday night at Minglewood Elementary School held an open house.

On  Monday, Nov. 14, more than 100 Girl Scouts from kindergarten to high  school age asked family and friends for food donations to complete a  Thanksgiving meal.  Some troops even used the money made during the  cookie sale to complete the "fixins&lt;div class="feedflare"&gt;

The game will be held at Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro. Kickoff has not been set, but is projected for early afternoon.

Girl Scout troops from all over Middle Tennessee were in attendance and participated in pre-game festivities.
