It’s been pouring cats and dogs in the evenings making it almost impossible to go outside. We have a dog now and we like to take him out for evening walks.

We missed our walk yesterday because of the freaky storm that came from out of nowhere. Is it a global warming effect? I don’t know but I have an inkling global warming has something to do with the weird weather I’m always groaning about, duh!

At the bank yesterday, I overhead some people inquiring about investing in gold which made me wonder how many people actually go shopping for gold jewelry any more like in the good old days when gold was a gift or for savings.

As for me, I love reading about the golden artifacts that archaeologists find in ancient architectures and tombs! Lately they found a 2000-year-old city, yes, an entire city, can you believe that?

Can’t wait! The only thing I don’t like is when it gets really crowded. But the excitement of actually being there in that live atmosphere is something else. And with good reason. Once during a ball game, someone threw a ball in my direction and it ended up hitting my glasses before bouncing off. Man, did that hurt!!

From that day on, I swore off all sports. A little drastic, I know but then I started wearing contact lenses soon afterwards and I always worried that if a ball were to hit me, the impact would cause the contact lens to gel right into my eyeball. Eww, what a nasty thought!

It’s hot out and when it’s not, it’s storming. So either way, it really kills my mood to take the kids out. The only place I’ve been going to regularly is the gym and that’s when the kids are in school.

I haven’t been posting much because we really haven’t been out much at all. The girls and I do have the occasional girls’ day out though. Like the other night, DH and my son went to a free movie and we girls went to have dinner on our own. That was nice.
