3. Why did you start blogging?
I started consistently reading blogs last autumn and I decided to start my own so I could connect with those bloggers. As an avid fan of the internet, it was also a good way for me to archive all the cool things I found (which I now do through Tumblr).

4. What is your goal as a blogger?
Ultimately, it’s to help me improve myself. I’ve become a better writer as I’ve blogged and I’ve also learned more about my sense of humor. I love learning about how other bloggers have improved their life, which in turn inspires me to be better.
Also, to become a professional blogger and become fabulously rich.
Maybe I’m joking about that last part.

5. What advice would you offer to other bloggers?
Realize that success doesn’t come immediately.
Make friends with other bloggers that have similar interests.
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, but do be careful what you say.
Don’t post out of a duty to post, but as a desire to post.

3. Why did you start blogging?
I wanted a home for sudden creative outburst, and I wanted a place to help me focus on the positive aspects in life. I wanted a home to share with others the things I’m learning whether it’s about going green, feminism, the Japanese language and culture. I also wanted a home where I could be myself. It’s hard to convey to people in real life who I am, and I find it’s much easier to convey through writing and via the internet.
Plus, I needed something to do on a rainy, cold day.

4. What is your goal as a blogger?
I didn’t really have a goal in mind when I created The Pink Panda. It was more of a personal expedition. But, if I do reach out to others, that’s fantastic!

5. What advice would you offer to other bloggers?
Try to write positively. Of course a blog is a place for personal expression, and bloggers are bound to have a bad day (at least once a week), but Readers can only take so much of “Today was the pits” and “Mondays totally blow” and “Woe is the pain that is my life”. Negative posts are a turn off.

This is the first year that I’ve really heard the term Cyber Monday used extensivley, and I’ve kind of been wondering where the heck it came from. The term was coined in 2005 by U.S. trade association National Retail Federation on shop.org. The term refers to a putative surge in online sales on the Monday following black Friday, when shoppers start buying things online that were out of stock in stores. As far as I can tell, there is not much in the way of “special deals” to be had online today, “Cyber Monday,” mostly just free shipping.

3. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging three years ago when I moved to NYC from Chicago on a whim. Given the fact I had only been to New York a few times before, I was completely overwhelmed by the city. I knew virtually no one having left all of my friends and family back in the Midwest so I started as a way of documenting fun and interesting experiences along the way. I started documenting “what I want now” lists and before I knew it my online space turned into a full fledged fashion blog.

4. What is your goal as a blogger?
My goal has evolved overtime but my primary goal is to to help develop online media stay relevant and make people realize the power & importance of it all. I want my readers to know all about new designers and lines before next month’s magazine hits newsstands.

5. What advice would you offer to other bloggers?
View other bloggers as your friends not your competition. Reach out to them & comment on their posts, it can only benefit you! Most importantly, have fun!

I honestly don’t know. I rant and ramble and take pictures, so it was nice to get them all in one place… and it’s kind of like realizing my goal of being a journalist, without actually, you know, being a journalist. I wouldn’t be a good one. I’m distracted too easily.
