One of the best things about being in the Granite Belt is how many stars you can see.
On a clear night it is a great opportunity for Steve to be out taking star photographs.

2017 Australian Small Winemaker’s Show

The Girraween Estate 2016 shiraz cabernet won a gold medal and the trophy for Champion Queensland Red Wine of the 2017 Australian Small Winemaker’s Show.

The wine is a blend of 60% shiraz and 40% cabernet. Steve’s tasting notes are that the wine “exhibits delicious aromas of red berries, blackcurrant and raspberry. Wonderful complexity of flavours including red berry, milk chocolate and a lingering finish.”
