Coloque-a no centro da área coberta por jornais.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;h2&gt;3&lt;/h2&gt;Familiarize-se com as partes que tocam a corrente:&lt;br /&gt;coroa&lt;br /&gt;talvez um câmbio dianteiro (a parte que troca as marchas na frente)&lt;br /&gt;roda livre&lt;br /&gt;talvez um câmbio traseiro com cassete&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;h2&gt;4&lt;/h2&gt;Raspe todo o barro e sujeira das engrenagens do câmbio traseiro. O melhor modo de fazer isso é segurar a ponta da chave de fenda de lado contra a parte externa da engrenagem e virar a pedivela com cuidado. Tente não deixar os pedaços secos de barro e sujeira caírem na corrente.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;h2&gt;5&lt;/h2&gt;Prepare o trapo. Umedeça. Desde que esteja trabalhando numa área bem ventilada, pode querer usar um desengraxante, como querosene, diesel ou desengraxantes cítricos. Gire a pedivela algumas vezes enquanto segura o trapo sobre a corrente com firmeza. O melhor é segurar a parte de cima da corrente, a que se encontra mais próxima do selim (assento). Você vai perceber que a corrente fica bem mais limpa.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;h2&gt;7&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lubrifique a corrente.&lt;br /&gt;Marque um dos elos com uma caneta marcadora, adesivo ou pedaço de esparadrapo para saber onde começou.&lt;br /&gt;Começando do elo marcado, aplique uma gota de lubrificante em cada elo. O melhor é aplicar uma pequena gota a cada lacuna na qual dois elos se sobrepõem. Não coloque muito ou vai desperdiçar, pois vai retirar o excesso de lubrificante de qualquer modo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;h2&gt;8&lt;/h2&gt;Dê tempo para o lubrificante assentar.
