Living in Bondage ( Breaking free) is a sequel to the 1992 nollywood movie living in bondage which was directed by Chris Obi Rapu starred Kenneth Okonkwo (as Andy Okeke) as the leading actor.

The storyline links up well with the prequel but focuses on Andy Okeke's son Nnamdi (Swanky JKA) on his reckless quest to make money at all cost .

The new sequel which premiered Nov 8, 2019 features some of the original actors with Ramsey Nouah making his directorial debut. Other notable casts are : Nancy Isime, Munachi , Bob Manuel, Jidekene Achufusi , Shawn Faqua.

Breaking free got streamed on Netflix Nigeria on May 22nd and earned the No.1 spot as the most nollywood movie watched online within 24 hours.

Nigerian female movie star and Filmmaker , Toyin Abraham formerly known as Aimakhu played football yesterday in an event organized to raise awareness against cancer.

Toyin who's a Brand Ambassador of Medicaid cancer foundation, an organization set aside to fight against cancer took to the street of Abuja to walk, dance and play cancer away.

The event tagged "Kick and Walkaway Cancer by the organizers Medicaid took place at The Mediterranean Recreational Center, Asokoro, Abuja while the match of the day kicked off at 3pm yesterday .

One of her instagram uploads shows Toyin displaying her defensive skills with a hard tackle on an opponent. She played alongside Mutiu Adepoju and other football legends Believe me, She is lit!!!

French walk-race athlete, Yohann Dinz had an embarrassing moment during the 50km race at Rio Olympic 2016.

While the event was going on at a temperature of about 27 degree, Diniz ,a former record holder suffered from stomach upset.

It was a bad day for the French athlete as he was seen lying on ground with poo on his body. He must have been feeling nausea from the stomach disorder which caused him to defecate.

Diniz was immediately attended to and finished 11th place at the end of the 50km walk race.

Federal government alerts Nigerians of fake anti-malaria drug in circulation

Nigerian Government warns public of fake drug

The Federal Government has alerted Nigerians of two confirmed falsified versions of Quinine Sulphate in circulation. Quinine sulphate is used in the treatment of Malaria. A statement signed by the Director, Media and Public Relations of the Ministry of Health, Boade Akinola, states that the two falsified drugs contain zero active pharmaceutical ingredients. The statement added that the drugs are majorly being circulated in West and Central Africa, particularly in Cameroon and Democratic Republic of Congo.

Akinola said one of the fake products was named Quinine Sulfate 300 mg with 1000 Tablets per container, Batch Number 10H05, expiry date 09/2018 and its date of manufacture is 09/2014. She stated that the drug manufactured by Novadina Pharmaceutical Limited, London, United Kingdom was first was discovered in Cameroon.

The other version of the fake drug was Quinine Sulphate 300mg with 100 Tablets per container; batch F4387, expiry date 11/18 and its date of manufacture is 12/14. She explained that the product was manufactured in India by CAD Pharm, and it was discovered in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Akinola advised Nigerians to be vigilant and report to the nearest National Agency for Food and Drug Administration office anywhere the drugs were spotted including hospitals and pharmaceutical shops.

The ministry advised Nigerians to also report if they come ac the following GSM no +234-8037881120, +234-8055056727 and +234-8035902679. “If you are in possession of these products, please do not use them.

“If you have taken this falsified product or if you suffer an adverse effect following its uptake, please seek immediate advice from a qualified healthcare professional and report the incident to NAFDAC.’’

A man is seen in the middle of the road wearing a blood-soaked shirt and trying to escape as the woman advanced towards him.

The footage of the incident surfaced online and it has been shared and viewed many times.

According to reports, they were already arguing before she attacked him. When he tried to escape, the woman followed, leaned towards him, appearing to stab a knife into his torso. The man then yelled out in pain and stumbled away as he again tried to put distance between himself and his wife.

Pastor Chris Proves RCCG G.O Adeboye Wrong On Marriage Issue

The founder and senior pastor of Covenant Singles and Married Ministries Pastor Chris Ojigbani has reacted to controversial statements caused by the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Adeboye.

In his statement, Pastor Chris seems to have made some key point that overruled what RCCG overseer said earlier.

He pointed out that long prayers are tantamount to ‘vain repetitions’, which the bible is strongly against.

So, I deem it necessary to clarify the issue. As the apostle of marriage, it’s my responsibility to clarify the issue to avoid causing more delayed marriage, separation and divorce in the world.

"This is the will of God concerning the issue: You must not use cooking as a criterion for choosing your spouse. Though food is important in life, cooking must not be used as a criterion for choosing a spouse. Why? I tell you three reasons necessary to clarify the issue."

Do you know that vain repletion is a sin in Christianity? Jesus Christ said that we should not speak much in prayer. In Matthew 6:7-8, the Bible says that speaking much in prayer is a sin."

" If you need something, you should ask your Father what you need. Just go straight to the point – the Bible says that He already knows what you need, even before you ask Him. So, if you are not yet married and you are a man, never you use cooking as a criterion for choosing your spouse.

"It’s very wrong. God will not be happy with you if you do something like that. I am speaking to you as the apostle of marriage that God has sent to correct the wrong doctrines of marriage in the world."

Athletico Madrid Striker Fernando Torres has opened up on his frustration at Anfield before switching to Stamford Bridge in 2011.

US Women Qualify For The 4x100m Relay Race Final After An Appeal

US women team to compete in relay race final after appealing to IAAF

The U.S. women's 4x100m relay team L-R Morolake Akinosun, Allyson Felix, Tianna Bartoletta and English Gardner have for the relay race final after appealing.

Allyson Felix and her teammates were out earlier after dropping their baton during the women's 4x100-meter relay semifinal.

The team made an appeal to the governing body IAAF arguing that other runners made them drop their baton and they were given a second shot to make the final, and they made the most of it.

In order to make the final, IAAF set up a special race for US team on Thursday night. The relay race was to beat the time of 42.70 seconds that was run by China's team.

They did that, posting a 41.77 time. The team —Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix, English Gardner, and Morolake Akinosun — now advances to Friday night's final at 9:15 p.m. ET.

Man Sentenced To 5 Month Jail For Stealing Cock In Abuja

Sunday Ogboji, 25 has been sentenced to 5 month in prison on Thursday in Abuja for stealing cock worth N4000.

He was arraigned to Kado Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, where he confessed that he hasn’t eaten chicken meat for a long time, hence the devil pushed him into the heinous crime.

The Judge, Alhaji Mohammed Ado, however, gave Ogboji, a technician, an option of N6, 000 fine for the two-count charge of criminal trespass and theft and warned him to desist from crimes.

Ado also ordered the convict, who resides at Kado Village, Abuja, to pay N4, 000 as restitution to the nominal complainant.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Augustine Urom, told the court that Insp. Simon Aliyu of same address with the convict reported the matter at the Life Camp Police Station, Abuja, on Aug. 14.

Urom said the complainant reported that on Aug. 8, he saw the convict stealing one of his birds valued at N4, 000.

The prosecutor said that when Ogboji was arrested and interrogated by the police, he admitted stealing the cock and eating it.

Urom said that the offences committed contravened Sections 348 and 288 of the Penal Code.

The convict pleaded guilty to the offenses and prayed the court to temper justice with mercy.

Ogboji said that he did not know what possessed him to steal the cock although he had not eaten meat for a long time.

He promised to be of good behaviour in future.

Uganda TV Presenter And Producer Sacked After A False Photo And Video Of Them Having S3x Went Viral

Anne Nakawombe, the lady in picture above, an Uganda TV presenter was mistaken to be lady in a viral video caught having s3x with a popular producer in the same media group .

The producer, Kevin kaija and Anne both belong to the NTV and the Nation Media Group (NMG) of Uganda were thought to be the victims indulging in such misconduct violating the rules and regulation of the TV station.

Following the false immoral act the television station has sacked the two victims of the misconduct and shared a statement on social media. It reads as follows.

"NTV Management announces that Anne Nakawombe and Kevin Kaija have ceased being employees of the station owing to gross misconduct."

"Anne has been the presenter of Login while Kevin worked on the Seeds of Gold program as a producer. These employees were found to be in breach of the NTV Employee Code of Conduct as stipulated in their terms of employment."

"At NTV, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of our values and integrity in the workplace to ensure that we are a trusted and credible source of information and entertainment. We do not condone unethical or questionable moral character."

Popular Nigerian OAP, Ifedayo Olarinde famously known as freeze is in support of songstress , Jhene Aiko divorce with Nigerian husband.

He seem to have done his research well on the why the couple split. He took to instagram to educate the public after getting facts from TMZ.

“The ‘volatile’ social media of 2016, allows victims to be torn apart by people, who oftimes are in worse off situations. I watched with utter amazement, as a 44 year old spinster, tore Jhene to shreds over her cheating allegations/divorce.

Because of this social media, that gives everyone a microphone, the spinster, who has never been married and has no children can condemn another woman’s choice.

The first question on my mind was “Madam, how come you are not married at 44?” but fear no let me, as it was obvious that the poor mare needed an outlet to vent her frustration.

When Jhene started trending, I read tweets with awe, people who had little or no access to the real information, became ‘professors,’ earning their PHDs and Masters on the subject, after spending all of 5 minutes digesting the story on TMZ.

Some others who weren’t afforded the education TMZ gave, relied solely on Facebook and Twitter, for their ONDs and HNDs on the subject. I respect Jhene for deciding to end a ‘fungating’ relationship.

There are a few reasons why a woman would cheat, the worst being that her heart is no longer in the relationship.

Should she have stayed and continued cheating, or moved on? Some suggested that she should have stayed and fixed her marriage, despite allegations of violence.

Hmm, like that gentleman in Ibadan who went home to try to fix his marriage after he was stabbed once? The poor guy is in the graveyard, with the story more or less buried with him. Same thing with that pretty lagos banker, who died trying to fix her marriage.

This year alone I have come across 4 or 5 of such stories, and wonder when, if at all, people are going to learn.

In the western world, they are not burdened with the responsibility we have, of pretending all is well on the home front, while we slide in and out of DMs and hotel rooms, yet ‘forming’ self righteous.

Also, they don’t enjoy the luxury of having some confused men of God, who are more worried about a couple going for deliverance for engaging in daily sex, or whether a woman knows how to cook or not, instead of facing what Jesus called them to do.”

Amina Ali Nkeki, the escaped Chibok girl has disclosed she misses her Boko Haram fighter husband and can't stop thinking about him.

Amina told BBC that while she was held hostage by boko haram for 2 years she was married off a year into her ordeal and later had a baby girl, Safiya.

The couple and their daughter escaped and were later found on the outskirts of Nigeria’s Sambisa Forest in May.

Her husband, identified as Mohammed Hayatu at the time of their escape, told a witness that he too had been kidnapped by Boko Haram.

He was placed in military detention for interrogation by Nigeria’s joint intelligence center.

Amina Ali says she has no idea where he is now and is keen to be reunited with him.

She said:
“I’m not comfortable with the way I’m being kept from him.” Addressing the father of her child, she says: “I want you to know that I’m still thinking about you, and just because we are separated doesn’t mean I have forgotten about you.”

Nigerian only boxer at the Rio Olympics, Efe ajagba has been defeated after losing to a Kazakhstan boxer Ivan Dychko in a quarterfinal match by an unanimous decision.

Ajagba knocked out his last opponent in Round 1 to earn a spot in the quarterfinals.

With motivation coming from his coach, Anthony Konyegwachie, It was an unfortunate moment for the well known powerful right hand boxer as he couldn't land enough punches to knockout his opponent, Dychko in the 3 rounds super heavy weight boxing.

Nigerian Footballer Dies After Returning From Vacation

A young Nigerian footballer, Michael Umanyika is dead. He died on Monday during training session for his club.

Allnigeriasoccer.com disclosed that Umanyika who plays for Zagatala PFK, an Azerbaijan first division club suddenly stopped and fell during a training session and all efforts to revive him proved futile.

It was gathered that the training was the player’s first with Zagatala PFK after returning from vacation in Nigeria.

The deceased joined Zagatala PFK last season and made 20 appearances for the club.

Former FIFA President, Joao Havelenge is dead. He was 100 years old.

Havelenge was a businessman and athlete in waterpolo. His tenure was the second longest in FIFA history.

He was the president between 1974 to 1998 before Sepp Blatter succeeded him.

The 7th FIFA passed away in Samaritano Hospital in Rio de Janeri , Brazil after been hospitalized due to respiratory problems.

On leaving the office of President, he was given an honour but Havelenge resigned as the honourary President due to corruption allegations levied against him and others in April 2013.

He also served as a member of the International Olympic Committee between 1963 and 2011.
