Two OAU Students Die In Less Than 24 Hours (Photos)

While the entire University community of Obafemi Awolowo University were mourning over the lost of a 400level student of the department of medicine and surgery OLUWASEUN OLORUNFEMI on the 25th of December who was knock down by a hit and run vehicle on the 20th of December. In less than 24hours, another death of a student was also recorded in the University.

She is a 100level student of Education and English, it was learnt that OYELEYE TAIWO passed out at the University teaching hospital on the 26th of December after complaining of severe headache where no doctor was there to attend to her during the festive period.
As at the time of filing this report, the nature of her sickness has not been made known.

We want to use this medium to appeal to the federal government to look into the health sector.

The president of the senate in Ebonyi State University SUG, Comr David Nwizi had reportedly died in a ghastly motor accident yesterday.

According to Jimmy Bigboy Swag, Comr. Nwizi died on Monday 26th December while on his way to Isieke town from Abakiliki, Ebonyi state.

He further expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased and his colleagues in the university.

He said

“I just received with great shock the news of the unfortunate and untimely death of the president of the Senate of Ebsu SUG. Comr David Nwizi whose death took place today in a ghastly motor accident on his way from Abakaliki town to Isieke.

What a Man Wants From A Woman - RSUST STudent, Rechael Speaks

I have come to realise that what a man needs to keep a serious relationship with a woman is not sex. If it were so, then rich guys will not keep only one woman as a wife, but pay many to satisfy their sexual desires.

If a man has not married you yet or he does not really intend to marry you what he will need from you is nothing other than your body, and he will become too aggressive to achieve his aim even at the extend of blackmailing/threatening you. But if he really intends to marry you or if you guys are already married sex is never his primary need.

Many young girls think because they are sexually active the greatest gift they have to give to their men is sex. Others also think once they are giving out their bodies it means they are giving out the best for which the man will never leave them. Others even go to the extend of getting pregnant, thinking that will tie him down. No! You are making yourself a single mother. Marriage is above that.

Some whom their sexual dexterity could not win them the heart of a man maybe fortunate to meet a guy who desperately seek a wife too and finally marries them. But unfortunately, few years after the wedding the marriage falls on rocks cuz the man can no longer bare her nonchalant attitude. This is cuz they think all what matters is good sex and no submission. They will never stop remembering their men of gender equality.

It is time for our young ladies to know that when a man is ready to marry he will not look out for a woman who will only satisfy his sex drive but a woman who will SUBMIT herself to him. I will let you know that "every woman has vagina but not every woman has character (humility)." So when you are a humble woman, you are an expensive jewelry, an outstanding lady among others. And a man of integrity will fear to lose you.

The bible says "wife, submit to your husband."(Ephesians 5:22-24) The reason is that a man's true love goes out only for a woman who is submissive. Your beauty cannot make another woman ugly but your humility can let him love you above all other women.

Sadly, many young ladies in our days call submission as "control." And you will hear them saying, "As for me I don't want any man to control me oooo." If you don't want to submit don't think of marriage because no man in his right sense will offer his love to such a woman, but adventurers will came for what you have to offer. Even serious men become adventurers due to your callous character and likewise adventurers change to seriousness and won't want to loose you due to your virtuous character.

The funniest thing is women will want a man to treat them as Queens but will not want to submit to him. Queens don't get marry to commoners but Kings, and Kings are respected by their subordinates. Crown your man the King and you will automatically become his Queen.
The necessary condition for any serious relationship is LOVE but the sufficient and most important condition is CHARACTER (SUBMISSION). A housemaid whom a man may not love originally can conveniently win a man's heart due to her character (submissiveness) if the wife is with a callous attitude.

A 400 level student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun state, Oluwaseun Olorunfemi, was killed by a hit and run driver last Tuesday December 20th.

According to his colleagues, after Seun was knocked down by the driver, he was rushed to the school's teaching hospital where he stayed in coma for 6 days until he died yesterday December 25th.

He was said to be an outstanding student and the choir master of the Deeper Life Campus Fellowship of the school.
May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

1.7 Million Nigerians Became Jobless In Nine Months —NBS

The harsh economic situation in the country has thrown 1.7 million Nigerians into the job market in nine months, a report from the National Bureau of Statistics has indicated.

The unemployment report, which was obtained by SUNDAY PUNCH on Friday, covered January to September this year.

Specifically, the report showed that the number of unemployed Nigerians rose from 9.48 million at the beginning of the year to 11.19 million by September ending.

The report also indicated that while the number of those employed rose marginally from 69 million at the beginning of the year to 69.47 million by September ending, the labour force population rose by 2.18 million from 78.48 million to 80.66 million.

The report said that unemployment was highest for persons in the labour force between the ages of 15-24 and 25-34, representing the youth population in the labour force.

For instance, it said the unemployment rate was highest for those within the ages of 15 to 24, rising from 21.5 per cent in the beginning of the year to 25 per cent as of September ending this year.

For the 25 to 34 age group, the unemployment rate, according to the NBS report, increased from 12.9 per cent at the beginning of the year to 15 per cent as of the end of September.

It noted that unemployment and underemployment were higher for women than men in the third quarter of 2016.

For instance, it said while 15.9 per cent of women in the labour force were unemployed as of the third quarter ending this year, a further 22.9 per cent of women in the labour force were underemployed during the period.

On the other hand, the report said 12 per cent of males were unemployed in the third quarter of 2016, while 16.7 per cent of males in the labour force were underemployed during the same period.

“Given that the nature of rural jobs is largely menial and unskilled, such as in agriculture and the likes, unemployment is more of a concern in urban areas where more skilled labour is required.

“The unemployment rate in the urban areas was 18.3 per cent compared to 11.8 per cent in the rural areas, as the preference is more for formal white collar jobs, which are located mostly in urban centres,” the report said.

Meanwhile, financial experts have warned that the huge preference for imported items by many Nigerians, if left unchecked, could worsen the unemployment situation.

The Acting Director, Trade and Exchange Department, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Woritka Gotring, said the problem could be better managed with the patronage of made in Nigerian products.

He said the resilience of the informal sector was what had been reducing the impact of the economic crisis on Nigerians.

Gotring said if not for the resilience shown by the informal sector where a lot of people were engaged in various economic activities, it would have been very difficult to manage the economic crisis.

He said despite the fact that a lot of people in the informal sector were employed in one form of economic activity or the other, the infrastructure gap in the country was limiting the potential of the sector.

In order to enable the country to conserve its foreign exchange, he called for policy consistency that would encourage capital flows and promote local production, fiscal discipline, enhancement of local manufacturing capacity and import substitution.

Gotring said, “Foreign exchange rate is one of the most important means through which a country’s relative level of economic health is determined.

“The slump in global oil prices has hit Nigeria hard plunging the country into recession. It is evident that the economy is going through tough times with a decline in inflows and continuous demand pressure on foreign exchange arising from high import bill.”

Also, the President, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Tony Ejinkeonye, called for an aggressive diversification of the economy to reverse the unemployment situation in the country.

He said aggressive diversification of the economy through agriculture and solid minerals was vital as it would help to create more jobs for the people and reduce the level of poverty in the country.

Man Escapes Jungle Justice For Stealing Infinix Hot in RSUST (Photos)

End of the road as one of the notorious thieves who has been prowling and terrorizing the livelihood of students in Rivers State University of Science and Technology has finally been apprehended by the Man' O War and some angry students of the Institution this evening.

The incident which occurred at NEH (New Engineering Hall) this evening left one of the suspects unlucky while he was trying to escape with a student's phone along PG Hostel.

The student while narrating to Gistmeust.com said he was reading in one of the NEH classrooms and decided to ease himself...next...three guys attacked him and demanded that he submits his phone while one of the guys was pointing a gun at him.

I became confused and didn't know what to do but gave him the phone. I pleaded that he gives me my phone because i don't have money to get another phone.

According to the student, two of the guys ran away and he followed the guy that was holding his phone (the same guy that pointed him guy), begged him to please give him back his phone. The thief while trying to escape through the PG fence shot at the said student twice...but luckily for the student the gun refused shooting. While continuing his journey to jump the fence he was nabbed by students and some Man O War immediately the student shouted "thief ooooo!!" (trust ust students na!)

Meanwhile the Commander of Man O War, Emmanuel Nelson Dumnamene (c-in-c) had appealed to the school management that all escape route should be blocked as this will reduce crimes like this on campus.

The C-IN-C while speaking to our reporters said the thief was caught with a gun containing three bullets.

He is not a student of this institution he added.

The commander further stated that the managementbshould tell students not to open doors to students if they do not identify themselves as students by showing their Identity cards.

However the Dean of Students' Affairs, Dr Isaac Zeb who arrived at the scene with some police officers applauded the students and the man o war for their bravery. Dr. Zeb condemned the act and promised that the suspect would face the law.

The dean in his own words stated..

What happened this night is a bad one i must affirm. For someone outside to come into this community in other to take our students' properties then he must face the law.

Any student of this institution who is found guilty of such act will be suspended, he stated.

The Dean further advised students to be careful of the kind of friends they relate with as the friends they make will either break them or make them.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Professor Olusola Oyewole.

A source at the commission told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja that Oyewole was arrested for alleged financial fraud.

According to the source, the Vice Chancellor will be arraigned in court on Friday.

When contacted, the spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, declined comment on the issue.

“I don’t have that information yet,’’ he said.

NAN reports that Oyewole was invited by the commission about two months ago following allegations of financial fraud in a petition by the university’s branch of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU)

NYSC: Things You Must Take Along To NYSC Camp To Avoid Stress

You are on this page probably because you have been Mobilized by NYSC, a prospective corper or better still a parent who is helping out his/her child source for necessary information as regards NYSC camp requirements. I'm going keep it precise but detailed so you don't have to run around the internet searching for more information.

Now there's a huge excitement in your heart that you are going to serve your father land, that's obviously amazing. However, it will be really sad and shattering if you got to camp and you are being sent back because you don't have some required items for registration.

Now follow me closely as i list all you will need for registration and also to make your stay fun..

OFFICIAL NYSC CAMP REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Call Up Letter:
This is a vital part of camp registration and the only evidence that you are a prospective corps member (colloq. Corper, or Otondo) and you are not impersonating anyone. This will be taken from and not returned to you. So if at all you even forget you luggage (lol) never forget this.

Tip: DO NOT LAMINATE IT! And keep it like its your life. I know someone who was sent back because she forgot hers. Also someone who had to beg and beg before his letter was collected because he laminated his own copy. So please avoid all these stress and make enough copies of this letter.

2. Registration Documents:
Foreign graduates should take along important registration documents used in registering at Abuja.

3. Final Year Student Identity CARD
Tip: If you've been issued your Certificate (not statement of result), there won't be need for this.

4. Notification/Statement of Result from School

5. Passport Photos:
This is very important. Take as many as you can, about 20 in red backgrounds. You would need them at every registration point mostly. Then those of you who would likely redeploy or join one group or the other in camp, you would need more than others.

6. Photocopies Of Your Documents: Now make about 5-10 copies of every document required. There would be photocopiers in camp at mammy market but trust me, it is double the price and it saves time.

Tip: The forms that will be handed to you are very easy to fill. Attach your passport where necessary and fill them correctly. After your registration, you will be issued with your State Code Number. This will be like your PIN throughout your Service Year.

7. Certificates/Licences: For Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses & Lab Scientists, take along your proof of certification.

8. Stationery: Pen, Paper, Gum, Stapler, Tippex: Yeah this saves time and lots of unnecessary begging.

Tip: Some camps do seize staplers at the gate during check-in. So do not forget to include pins in your stapler if you are taking that along.

Tip: After getting your NYSC State Code Number, you can proceed to claim your NYSC Kit and Mattress after which you can proceed to get a Room. After you have gotten your kit and secured a place in the hostels, you can settle down and you are good to go to start the Military parades.

Now, Your NYSC kit should contain 1 NYSC Crested Vest, A pair of Khaki Trousers, Cap and Jacket, 2 White T-shirts, 2 Pairs of Knickers, 2 pairs of green-stripped Stockings, A Pair of Orange Jungle Boots and One Pair of White Converse. A “Belt” is also included.

YOUR DAILY NEEDS:

9. Round-necked white T-shirts: This is an essential outfit in camp in fact in most camps this is the only allowed cloth to be worn throughout your 3 weeks. Even to church, you might not be allowed to wear colored cloths. You would be given 2 pairs of white t-shirts at camp to just fulfill all righteousness which surely would never be your size especially our very slim and small otondo in size . So you can bring extra pairs (6). Why? Because you probably wont have time to wash during the week after being stressed out from the parades and Man-O-War drills.

Tip: Do not carry more than 2 pairs of colored clothes because you wont need it.

10. White Shorts: I beg you please do bring yours. you would also be given 2 pairs of shorts which are really poor in material. They tear easily and it can be annoying. So my dear Otondos bring like 4 pairs of shorts. Trust me also you wont like to wash everyday, so bring enough to last you like 3 days so that you wont be stranded.

11. Plain White Sneakers/Tennis Shoes: This is a very important outfit. you would also be given an ugly pair of low quality white tennis shoes customized for NYSC. It’s either you are not given your size although you can find someone with your size and swap. But after the first wash it starts tearing. So just buy yours (white). They also sell this in camp, so in case you are not able to get you could buy in camp just carry extra cash for that because the price would be higher – as with everything in Mammy – because they know you have no choice than to buy. Now, If you happen to camp during the rainy season (Batch ‘B’ & ‘C’), get white rubber sneakers/boots especially if you’re posted to the Southern part of the country . The parade fields/mammy market might be messed up after the rains. You will get this in camp.

12. White Socks: Just get extra pairs.

13. Mosquito Treated Net: You would do not want to fall sick in camp from malaria. Just bring yours. Also bring ropes you would use to hang it. I also used mine as a room to protect my box and properties from thieves and also from some insects and ants.

14. Basic Drugs: Like Panadol or paracetamol, medicine for your allergies, menstrual pain relief drug, nausea relief drugs, antibiotics e.t.c. The camp clinic is sometimes inadequately stocked with drugs so help yourself.

15. Padlocks: (BRING or BUY from Mammy) Please lock your boxes and bags to avoid regrets and tears. I know someone who lost more than 5 items including his two phones – like he’s the only one in camp.

16. Waist Pouch: /Fanny pack/Bum bag (or for the more fashion-conscious, a cross-body purse).The bum bags are more popular because they won’t bang against you when you’re active and your hands are free to do whatever. You need it to carry your money, phone, small valuables, pens, etc around with you at all times. You should sleep with it too.

17. Beverage: The camp will supply u with “Tea-water” so you can make tea when u need to!

18. Dettol Or Any Disinfectant: This is very, very essential. Firstly the bathrooms can be very annoying and dirty and more importantly, you would not like to have infection from camp. Bad idea. Depending on your camp, the water can be dirty. Most people always have reaction to it.

19. Detergent: (BUY from Mammy) Again, this reduces the amount of load you’re bringing into camp. However, if you’re lucky the mammy market will have vendors offering laundry services! It costs about N50 per item, N100 for your khaki trousers or shirt, extra N50 if you want your items pressed.

Tip: The Bucket: Buy this in Mammy. Don’t stress yourself taking one to Camp, which you’re probably going to leave behind after 3 weeks.

Toiletries: Toilet Paper, Sanitary Pad, soap dish etc. BUY in Mammy.

21. A Pair Of Slippers: (BRING or BUY)

22. Bed sheets, Pillow Cases and A Pillow: You could also get pillow from mammy market to reduce load.

Tip: Mattresses will be provided by NYSC. It is best to “double up” with the mattresses, as they are about 1 to 2 inches thick. Lol.

23. Handkerchiefs: There will be BUCKETS of sweating. Do yourself a favor.

24. Flashlight Or Rechargeable Lamps: (BRING or BUY) Most camps, or in fact, all camps do not give light except at a specific time of the day. It’s very essential especially at night when you need to use the bathroom, early in the morning when preparing for morning drills and meditations and at night in case you need to do anything. At the mammy market, there is always light till they close, usually 10pm except on days like the Camp Fire Night. You can charge them there at a little fee.

Tip: You will be fed three times a day in camp but I must not lie to you, the food there is nothing to write home about. They can be nice on few occasions like Sundays, but most days, they are poor. If you are someone who loves to eat good food, make provisions for your own food. You should get some fast foods along, some breakfast cereals and beverages. You should also hold extra cash to eat at the Mammy market. You will get good meals there.

25. Plate And Cup: (BRING or BUY) For eating. Important for those who intend on eating Camp food.

26. Some Form Of Entertainment: Novels – for those who get bored easily, please carry some. And for guys PSP or chess. also iPod your and MP3 players for audiophiles.

27. Your Ray-Ban Sunglasses For The Sun. And if you can’t afford that, get a Ray-Bon. lol

28. Get Extra Phone Batter(ies) And Extra Network SIMs. Some network are not available at some camps in remote locations far from towns. Once you get your call-up letter, you can find out which network has the best reception at your destination camp. If you need data access, find out if that available also. Instagramers and keekers, if you get EDGE thank your stars.

29. Cash: Extremely important. You would need about N15,000. Then between N20,000 – N30,000 to be ‘just’ comfortable. For those that can manage, say, N10,000 – N15,000. There are lots of things that take up money. Things like food (for those who don’t intend eating camp food), drinks, recharge cards, charging of phones, laundry, pleasures e.t.c

Tip: You wont be allowed to leave camp. So do not be stranded, trust me it’s not a good idea. Just budget 1000 per day. You could take your ATM card along, incase. (This might sound counter-intuitive since there might not be any ATM in camp and you are not allowed to leave camp. But figure it out…)

You can keep you extra cash with the Accounts Department (as the case was in my camp) while some shops offer POS services, you still have access to extra cash whenever you need it.

If you have a camera you can take it along because you will want to snap a lot of scenes. If you have a Smartphone with great camera, that’s good for you because you can easily take and share photos on social networks.

Tip: If you don’t have any of those, you will have to pay some guys on camp who do that as business to follow you around and snap you wherever you go. They might charge up to N2,000 for the duration of the camping. They should give you all your photos and videos in DVDs at the end of Camping. Or you could wait till the last day of leaving camp and snap at a cheaper rate.

Recently after the news broke out that one of our students (Happiness Amah) has been diagnosed with Kidney failure at Save A Life Foundation few weeks back, concerned students of this great community have started donations within their capacities.

The said Amah is a 200level student (Faculty of Law) of Rivers State University and Technology.

Trending both on campus and all social media is the said issue as students are giving their opinions and suggestions.

These were words from a concerned RSUST student.

My candid opinion concerning my fellow student been hospitalized. For sometime now, we have not paid for the customized SUG diary and this present administration re-introduced it . I suggest that we use the money realized from the sale of the diary to foot the hospital bills of our beloved student and production of the said diary. If it is saving a life this present administration can achieve in one year, it is worth it. That should be a victory for us all. #JustmakingSenseInMyOwnWay #Sleekydaniel

The Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox, also know as MMM, is a mutual fund scheme that has been driving a lot of Nigerians crazy due to the quagmire state of the nation.

However, everyone invests in it for purpose of receiving 30% profit after 30 days without knowing that the devil sometimes gives you a shoe with the left hand and collects your leg with the right hand.

Though, many believe that it's fallacy to think that MMM will crash, but what if it does?; the following categories of people will regret their lives.

1. The Awoofians

Many will agree with me that an average Nigerian wants to reap where he/she did not sow. The awoofians are usually attending parties they are not invited and will be gulping beer and feeding like there's famine in Nigeria. Some will even go as far as selling their family houses just to invest into it and by the time things goes as unplanned, they will start their lives from square one.

2. Those who resigned their jobs

It's funny people resign their jobs just because they see this scheme as a blessing in disguise and a less strenuous way of becoming rich. These people will definitely end up in deep regret when MMM messes them up and can't later find jobs.

3. Those who invest their lives savings

When taking risk, it very wisdom on the part of a person to invest what he can afford to lose but many people seem to have been exceeding their boundary these days. If they end up losing their life savings, they will have HBP and will relegate to 6 feet with immediate effect.

4. Those who marry without Jobs

Recently, men who are financially handicapped are beginning to get married with the notion that MMM will be their source of livelihood without the fear of unforeseen circumstances. As funny as it sounds, some will save up money for wedding and will invest it into MMM so that they can afford to buy adult cows, pay bride price, rent halls and canopies for their wedding.

5. Those who longer want to work

I overhead a man yesterday talking to his neighbour that, with MMM, he no longer needs a job and I began to shake my head at his ignorance. These kind of people will end up biting their finger when things turn soar.

6. Those who were Sacked from Work

Some people who were sacked from work will plunder their payment in lieu of notice into MMM so that their landlords will not send them packing. This is very risky thing to do considering the fact that you will both lose in two ways when the unexpected happens.

7. Those who sell their Properties

I have a neighbour who who recently sold his father's inheritance and plough the money into this scheme so that, at the end of the month, he would be able to buy a plot of land at Mowe and also buy himself a car. I sometimes feel sorry for him because I still don't know where he will start his life from if he loses

8. Bankers

I pity some bankers who usually invest as much as N10m out of customers' savings just to get a profit of N3m in return. We recently heard the story of a bank manager who committed suicide due to debt.

9. Those who want to celebrate Christmas elaborately

Now that Christmas is around the corner, many will invest the little they have before November 25th, so that they can cash out before December 25th and celebrate with their loved ones. When MMM crashes before that time, they will become wailers and start blaming Buhari for their misfortunes.

10. Those whose Girlfriends dumped them for being Poor

Just because a lady dumped you for being poor, you ventured into MMM just to buy a car and make her jealous. I want you to know that you may end up in deep regrets if MMM could later not fetch you money to buy a bicycle let alone an Okada.

How frequent is it when you notice that your anger and emotions are getting out of control that's driving you to commit all sorts of inappropriate, reckless, crazy behaviors?

To the majority of us, it's undeniable that life is tough, challenging and stressful these days. However, it is still important to learn how to control your temper.

One critical thing to remember is that you are always 100% in control of your emotions.

While you should never find yourself in a situation that you can't control, you always have choices as to how to react to any kind of situations.

By allowing yourself to even think that your temper is controlled by other people or circumstances, you are just making an excuse for yourself!

To a certain extent, anger is actually a powerful emotional response.

It reminds you what you don't like about your life, other people and what matters to you. It allows you to freely express your frustrated feelings, but it should never overpower your self-control.

If you find that you are turning into a violent beast when anger hits you, you have an imminent dangerous problem to fix. If you really find it difficult to handle, you might as well consult some anger management experts for advice.

Remember this powerful paradigm shift: It is not how you are feeling that is wrong. It is what you do with your feelings that become the issue.

If you allow yourself to throw a tantrum and fling your arms around, ranting wildly like a lion king, this is obviously not a good sign. You are liable to hurt other people's feelings as well as possibly causing them physical harm.

When you let your temper get the better out of you, you may face serious consequences like:

1. Detrimental to your unstable mental health

2. Severely damaging your physical health, some may even trigger heart attacks or latent diseases

3. Ruining your professional career because you're confronting your boss, colleagues or even clients in a mindless way

4.Destroying relationships with friends, family, lovers and co-workers

5. Failing to create the kind of impact you want in the world because no one wants to help you with your vision and mission

Luckily, there are solutions to this problem.

Your first step is to seek out help and learn to manage your temper in a more effective way. This can include group discussion on possible solutions with family and friends or it can consist of you learning how to manage your anger by yourself either in books or online.

Learning to control your temper will take time, energy, effort and patience. One of the first things you should do is to try to determine what the root cause of your anger is.

Did you grow up in an angry household where you witnessed a lot of fights and dramas?
Have you experienced a traumatic event in the past about people?

Sometimes the root cause of anger can be hidden deep inside. It is only with a lot of self-reflection, soul-searching and meditating that the answers will be revealed.

Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed and start making a list of all the things that make you angry. Then put them in order of importance - which one lights your fuse first. Once you know what your root cause is, you will be able to devise a better strategy to deal with it and slowly change your behavior.

As for me, the single root cause that lights my fuse the most is "people getting angry and reacting with anger for no justifiable cause." i have identified mine and i am already working tirelessly towards accommodating it. lets hear yours

Earlier today, the Law Students Association of Nigeria (Rivers State University of Science and Technology) visited their colleague has been diagnosed with kidney failure.

Amah Happiness who is a 200level student (Faculty of Law) has been diagnosed with kidney failure at Save A Life Foundation few weeks after she returned from her 10days holiday.

According to her mother who spoke with the executives during the visit stated that Amah had been healthy all through the holidays.

In her words;
...After she returned from the ten days holiday which she spent with her aunty. That day she came back we had dinner and she told me she wanted to discus something with me but i told her to wait until we finish our dinner. Later, she came to my room for the discussion, she opened her clothes and what i saw on her belly was terrible. The next day i took her to the hospital (BMH) and they did a scan. What the doctors told me broke my heart...Kidney failure..

President of LAWSAN (Law Students Association of Nigeria) in the person of Comr. Victor Tamuno while speaking assured the family that the Faculty and the RSUST student community will do their best to ensure Amah is gets well. He further stated that the situation had been reported to the assistant staff adviser of the association(LAWSAN) and they are currently working on it. Also, donations from students have already began- he stated.

In attendance were the president of LAWSAN, vice president (Better) and Special adviser on Spiritual matters.
A section of worship, prayer and words of comfort was also given to the family.
