Giulio Iacchetti thought the walls that expand endlessly changing from vertical scenes to horizontal spaces thanks to the designs of fields planted with wheat and artichokes …This is a personal interpretation of living space that already had anticipated when Gino Paoli, singing “Il cielo in una stanza” imagined walls replaced by infinite trees.
In his project the walls of the host backgrounds that refer to the products of: well-ordered rows of artichokes, golden ears of wheat offer new perspectives. The idea is to look beyond the home and may well reach the countryside surrounding the city, returning to our living a vague reference to nature.

Freestanding wooden hanger. The hooks are derived from the handles of umbrellas.

A stylized skulls becomes geometric module unable to effectively saturate the entire surface of the carpet. The border follows the geometry of the design by creating a jagged line that innovates in a suggestive way.

Wireplace is a bio fireplace that through the use of steel rod removes the superfluous parts for a shape reminiscent of the traditional fireplace. The hollow structure makes possible a vision and a benefit of the flame to 360 degrees. The steel rod is available in different colors that are glazed with a protective coating for outdoor use. The base in white Carrara marble or painted cement stabilizes the frame of the bio fireplace.

Three new collections dedicated to writing, reading and traveling. The entire Moleskine project is defined in a family of about 15 objects, each characterized by a strong personality but inseparably linked to the identity of the brand.
Focus of the entire project is the pen with cap and clip, designed specifically for clinging to Moleskine hard cover notebooks. A rubberized steel clip lets you attach it neatly to the cover, making them natural travelling companions
The symmetrically designed reading glasses are thought to be worn in both directions, as a result of the fact that both lenses have the same graduation. This reading collection also includes the folding reading stand for most kind of e-reader as well as conventional books. Its novel design makes it foldable, portable and light.
Finally, in the collection of bags, the integration and combination of a molded base and a soft material allow bag to stand and improves water repellency and to be confortable to wear at the same time; traveling collection is designed to be customized and organized as desired with various add-on (multi-purpose pockets and storagepanel).

The designer Giulio Iacchetti inspired by hummingbirds, small bird of Central and South America, has designed an elegant paper knife for Alessi. The long tail of “Uselen” slips between the edges of an envelope and open it in one shot . To get to the final product has gone through several stages: the preparatory sketches and prototypes of wood clarify such as the form has gradually improved and simplified to facilitate the function that the object should perform.

Tubular Bells is a shelves modular system. It synthesizes in the project of a joint made by few and simple production steps. Joint, completed by a 28 mm pole, laser cutted features the groove-and-tongue of other tubular pole; further, a 90° bending together with welding, performs a three or four ways joint on wich it is possible to fix up a steel plate to hold shelves. Vertical and horizontal limitless development of this system, the extremely easy way to build, are part of its related peculiarity.

Pulivo is a complete set for cleaning up the house consists of up trash, dustpan, broom, brush and scrubber.
For this project it was decided to work with the plastic resin combined with scraps of different woods, including olive trees (ulivo in italian), which gives the name to the product. The choice of these materials can reduce the percentage of plastic and allows to use wood salvaged materials without excessive waste.
The shape comes from itself, taking their cue from nature and the olive tree: the handle becomes the trunk; a buttonhole, made of elastic material and placed at the top of the handle, takes the form of olive leaf and allows objects to be hung. The choice of green for the brushes in combination with the wood color was inevitable.

Disposable scoop ice cream and spoon  for hot chocolate and granita made of mater-bi. The shapes are asymmetric and well-defined. The spoon has an higher capacity and develops in length to reach the bottom of the cup bigger. Scoop and spooncan be safely discarded in the organic fraction of household waste.

Popeye’s brazen pipe, or Magritte’s emblem/rebus “Ceci n’est pas une pipe”?
Much like the pipe that is not a pipe challenges the common way of looking at reality, so the Olivia collection of sanitary fixtures designed for Globo takes an ironic look forward thanks to the many innovative ideas that distinguish it as an authentic and original family of industrial design products. The design of all the elements of the Olivia family is characterized by one soft, enveloping and continuous form.
White, clean, essential: the floor-standing or suspended wall-mounted toilet bowl, conceals the siphon with one stroke of the pencil in a continuous ceramic curve. The toilet seat too, thanks to the brand new hinge design, perfectly completes the form of the fixture with a surface having no breaks or overhangs.
In the shelf washbasins, the slender line of the profile reduces the overall dimensions on the plane, to allow a more extended use dedicated to all the items we use in the bathroom.
However the family “centerpiece” is the urinal that capsizes the formal portrayal of this fixture which, from the floor up, uses one sculptural line to encompasses the pot opening. What is more, the urinal is eco-virtuous because it is less thirsty for water than the toilet bowl. Normally used in public bathrooms, if urinals were used more often in the home, we would definitely save water. The ecological commitment deeply felt by Globo is applied to this product, and to the entire collection.
The family is completed by the monolithic middle-of-the-room washbasin, another point in favor of this formal innovation; in spite of its clean slender shape it maintains a dialogue with the other elements of the series.
