Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour has been called “one of the most unflinching acts of musical resistance in the nation’s history” (TIME Magazine) and tomorrow, 9th September, official video will be shared in sequence from the first seven songs of the tour’s Philadelphia finale. With that 30th May show filmed in its entirety — and planned for release in three additional, in-sequence segments through the end of the year — “Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band: Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour (Philadelphia Freedom Cut)” captures Springsteen as he “comes out swinging” (New York Times). Delivering a “rousing opener” (Variety) — from his initial remarks through “Streets of Minneapolis” — the footage is a testament to “the power of art to move hearts and minds” (Billboard).

“Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band: Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour (Philadelphia Freedom Cut)” will be available tomorrow at 3pm, and also features performances of “Born in the U.S.A.,” “Death to My Hometown,” “No Surrender” and “Darkness on the Edge of Town” alongside covers of the Motown classic “War” (written by Barrett Strong and Norman Whitfield) and The Clash’s “Clampdown.”

“I’m thrilled to be releasing our final show from the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour — recorded in the birthplace of American freedom, Philadelphia, USA,” said Springsteen. “On the tour, we rocked the house from one end of the country to the other and, while we were at it, we spoke up everywhere in defense of our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, and our sacred democracy — which are under attack by a lawless President and his regime. Musicians on stage for the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour included the E Street Band’s Roy Bittan (piano, synthesiser), Nils Lofgren (guitar, vocals), Garry Tallent (bass guitar), Stevie Van Zandt (guitar, vocals) and Max Weinberg (drums) with Soozie Tyrell (violin, guitar, vocals), Jake Clemons (saxophone) and Charlie Giordano (organ, keyboards, accordion). They were joined by The E Street Horns and Percussion (Anthony Almonte, Barry Danielian, Eddie Manion, Ozzie Melendez, Curt Ramm) and The E Street Choir (Ada Dyer, Curtis King, Lisa Lowell, Michelle Moore). Tom Morello performed with Springsteen and the E Street Band for each of the tour’s 20 shows as a special guest.

Californian singer and guitarist Pembroke Tenneson has unveiled his new single, “Sex Appeal”, the first release from a collection of 14 original tracks.

Classic rock influences including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac and The White Stripes inform his musical outlook, while the humour and storytelling of artists such as The Kinks, Joni Mitchell, Joe Walsh and Wheatus provide inspiration for his approach to lyrics.

Speaking on “Sex Appeal”, Tenneson says, “‘Sex Appeal’ is based on swaggering early '70s rock. All those old bands are brash, fun and ridiculous, so when I wanted to write a song inspired by that style, I had to keep my tongue in my cheek. Those guys are outrageous characters so I had to play one too. The recording process was great fun.”

I find the song extremely enjoyable from start to finish, with fantastic bass lines and a quality production. The chorus is super catchy and the song will make you tap your foot. A quality release from every point of view and with a superb sound, enjoyable from start to finish.

Brooklyn alt-rock four-piece Sorry Darling, featuring Liz Wagner Biro (vocals/guitar), Steve Bailey (vocals/guitar), Jackie Land (bass), and Dan Holodak (drums)—was born in 2022 out of a shared obsession with big guitars and massive, singalong hooks. The band originally grew from the songwriting union of Wagner Biro (Wild Yawp, The Significant Looks, Blaze Pascal) and Bailey (The Sharp Shadows), who bonded over the gritty swagger of The Libertines and the lush, wistful pop of HAIM.

With the addition of Land (a reformed San Francisco metalhead) on bass and Seattle transplant Holodak on drums, the lineup clicked immediately. Drawing inspiration from powerhouse acts like The Pretenders, The Cranberries, The Beths, and Beach Bunny, Sorry Darling strikes a sweet spot between classic power-pop and modern alt-rock, fueled by infectious guitar leads and deeply relatable lyricism.

"Like You" tackles the way a relationship can erode someone's sense of self and capability. Its accompanying music video follows a pageant queen who places second and wakes up questioning the life she's built.

It's an energetic, deep and intense song, amazingly performed by the band with a perfect production for the genre. Italian rockers NAGUAL return with “Hollow”, their new single released through Volcano Records & Promotion and the second track from their forthcoming EP, due in October.

The release is part of the band’s twentieth-anniversary celebrations and is accompanied by a documentary tracing their journey through archival footage, images and interviews with people who have shared and contributed to their story from 2006 to the present day.

Twenty years of music, live shows, records and evolution. “Hollow” emerges from that history without looking back with nostalgia: the new single is firmly focused on what comes next, becoming another key piece of Nagual’s forthcoming record. The track sits at the crossroads between the musical identity the band has developed over the years and a more immediate approach to songwriting. A sharp, compelling riff, a direct chorus and spacious, ethereal textures shape a song that also reveals echoes of The Sisters of Mercy, The Cure and early U2. “Hollow” explores a relationship suspended between presence and absence, intimacy and disorientation, ultimately turning the sense of emptiness suggested by its title into the emotional core of the song. Recorded during the sessions for the band’s new project, the single follows “If Only”, the first track unveiled from the record earlier this year.

“Hollow” therefore marks the next step towards the new EP, due in October as Nagual celebrate two decades of activity. Adding another dimension to the release is a documentary dedicated to the band’s history, built around archival material, footage and interviews with people who have played a part in Nagual’s journey from 2006 to the present. More than simply a retrospective celebration, the film captures the human and artistic dimension of a project that has continued to evolve over two decades while preserving its identity. Active since 2006, Nagual have developed a musical language rooted in classic rock, progressive rock and blues, while also drawing from the alternative and grunge sounds of the 1990s. Their journey has unfolded through several releases and a constant process of musical evolution, with “Hollow” now marking another significant point along the way.

With a new single, a documentary and a new EP on the horizon, Nagual’s twentieth anniversary is not simply an opportunity to look back at what has been achieved, but above all the starting point for a new chapter in the band’s story.

Hailing from New Jersey, Teddy McGraw is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist carving out a sound at the crossroad of alternative rock, country, folk, and punk. Blending sharp alternative sensibilities with Fleet Foxes, inspired harmonies and a penchant for live improvisation, McGraw handles every single element of his recordings himself, performing all drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. A regular on the New York live circuit, he also pulls double duty as the drummer for the McGraw Project, who dropped their debut album in 2025.

Teddy comments on his song No Way Out: "Sonically, the song is very inspired by Oasis. Lyrically and sonically, the song is centered around a riff that could be on Definitely Maybe. It has become a live staple of multiple bands including my old band Worst Case and my current solo project. It is the first song that was ever song back to me by a crowd."

I love the pace and the mood of the song, fast and energetic, reminded me of Bruce Springsteen as well, in some aspects. The story of Tone Raider traces back to the vibrant Ankara rock scene of the early 2000s. Guitarist Murat Göktan Kural and bassist Kahraman Aksoy first crossed paths performing across countless local venues alongside drummer Murat Bayhan and keyboardist Ege Karaosmanoğlu. Though life eventually pulled the musicians in different directions, the chemistry and shared musical vision never faded.

Fast forward to 2024: after years of honing their craft and accumulating decades of musical experience, Kural and Aksoy reunited to channel their combined energy into a brand-new vehicle—Tone Raider.

To bring their debut material to life, the duo assembled a powerhouse studio lineup. Vocalist Lukky Sparkxx steps in to deliver dynamic front-man energy, while keyboardist Lara Kural adds rich atmospheric layers.

Elevating the project to elite hard rock standards, Tone Raider locked in legendary drummer Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath, Dio) to track the drums. Appice’s signature heavy groove provides the thunderous backbone for the band’s debut material, bridging Ankara’s rock roots with classic heavy metal royalty.

The band describe their new song Wild Wine Quest, which is the opener of their new album: "Heavy, epic rock driven by a galloping bassline. A burning epic, turned feral by drink and pushed all the way to incandescence." I love the mood of the song, the rhythm section (I love the break in the middle), the guitar solo, the catchy vocal lines, and the style, in between a few genres, with lots of elements from the past but modern at the same time. A very cool one, amazingly written and performed.
