Inspired by the influential jangle pop, power pop, and new wave bands of the 1980s and 1990s, Jangle Wave is an independent solo artist based in Phoenix who is reviving the energetic sounds of chiming guitars, catchy hooks, and classic pop melodies.

I really enjoy the mood of the new single, "No Ordinary Day." It blends several genres, featuring alternative-rock guitars while maintaining an overall pop sensibility. I find the song very well written and performed, with a catchy melody and a tasty guitar solo.

Lovestruck - Let The Sunshine Burn

Let the Sunshine Burn is the new 2026 EP from Lovestruck. “We tried to take this EP in a more alternative direction compared to our sleazy ’80s roots,” says the band, adding that it’s inspired by artists like Deftones, Queens of the Stone Age, and Muse. This is their third work after an album and an EP.

It comprises of 4 songs for 15 minutes of music. Completely Out of Control is what the title suggests: frantic and messy, with guitars working amazingly together, fantastic drumming, and a lot of quality. This is my favourite song on the EP, and you can find it on the Rock Rotation (click on this link) Given to rock playlist. I love the riffs, the tasty solos and the mood of the song. Fake It Till You Make and the title track Let The Sunshine Burn are pure 80s hard rock, with catchy riffs and vocals and with fantastic solo sections. One for the Road reminds me of 90s grunge, and it's got Alice in Chains vibes (at least to my ears) and the usual inspired guitar (I love the bass part in the middle of the song).

Iconic British blues rocker ARTHUR BROWN has revealed the title track of his forthcoming new full-length "Nature", which has been created in collaboration with DAN SMITH. 'Nature' is presented in the shape of a beautiful music video that has been pro-shot live at his flamboyant shows during ARTHUR BROWN's recent touring across Europe.

ARTHUR BROWN comments on 'Nature': "This is a time of confusion and choice", the legendary rock musician muses. "Deep inside us is a consciousness, which is the basis of everything. Can we find a way to know ourselves as being it? At the moment all our social structures, our laws, education system, everything in our culture are no longer using the parts of our brain that can care for the world in its totality. From this comes our discomfort in our living. All our problems arise from this dualistic world image. We need to find a way to stand before this 'consciousness' and drop all our current 'answers'."

After six decades on all the stages of the world, boundary‑breaking performances, pioneering and innovating rock music, fate and life have brought the iconic singer back to where he came from – both as a creative artist and in his personal geography.

For more than sixty years, ARTHUR BROWN has stood as one of the most singular figures in rock music. The singer and performer is universally recognised as a true visionary whose work has always moved beyond conventional songcraft and crossed over into theatre, ritual, and sonic experimentation. At the culmination of his extraordinary decade-spanning career, ARTHUR BROWN announces the release of what he describes as his pinnacle album: "Nature".

In recent years, ARTHUR BROWN has been contemplating how he would like to see the final chapter of his musical journey to unfold. After decades of global travel and artistic exploration, the question became not how to continue – but how to remain true and authentic to himself. Originally planning to settle in the United States, the Norns weaving fate pulled some strings. Brown and his partner as well as creative director, Claire Waller, found themselves unexpectedly in North Yorkshire, in the north of England.

What at first looked like only a temporary change of plan soon revealed itself as something far more profound. Settling down among the vast landscapes of the North York Moors, ARTHUR BROWN discovered that he had followed something powerful, the call of his blood. The iconic rock pioneer found himself living in his ancestral home, only miles from the final resting place of his great‑grandfather, grandfather, and father on one side. While on the other side loomed that ancient fishing town at the heart of many a dark folk tale, Whitby – the place of his birth. These discoveries made his return feel almost magical in its poetic symmetry.

"Nature" is a reflection on a life that has and is dedicated to the search of meaning through creativity, spirituality, and artistic exploration. Throughout ARTHUR BROWN's life, one idea has returned time and again: the cosmic unity of existence. "Nature" places that philosophy at its centre. "Nature" is not intended as some kind of closing statement but rather the distillation of a lifetime spent exploring the mysteries of being. It is the sound of a wandering minstrel pausing, at last, to listen to the wind in the trees. And quite literally so…

Nature's call changed the way that ARTHUR BROWN was used to working on new music. Rather than constructing the album purely within the walls of a studio, he began recording the natural sounds that surround his home. The bubbling brook. The flow of the nearby river. Wind moving through trees. Wind chimes hanging in the air. Footsteps across soil and woodland paths. The crackle of fire in the hearth. All these sounds and more became part of "Nature"'s sonic palette.

ARTHUR BROWN went on to find the perfect collaborators for his musical endeavour. Working with his friend and producer Isaac McInnis of Crooked Room Studio, the veteran musician developed the conceptual framework of the record – blending environmental recordings with improvisational composition. When he was satisfied, ARTHUR BROWN took the next step and called upon another friend, the composer, multi-instrumentalist, and collaborator Dan Smith, who is also a member of the current CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN live line-up, to help shape the music.

Together with McInnis and Claire Waller, the creative process unfolded organically step by step. ARTHUR BROWN brought with him a lifetime of lyrical writing, poetic prowess, and philosophical reflection. The songs evolved through a series of improvised recording sessions, which were guided by instinct rather than rigid structure.

Following these sessions, Dan Smith continued to expand and develop the musical landscape. He worked alongside McInnis, Waller, and Brown to shape what would ultimately become "Nature". More than just another album, this record offers an interwoven tapestry of natural sounds, improvised exploration of instruments, traditional composition, and joyful collaboration.

It is time to let "Nature" take its course…

Perennial formed in 2015 in Connecticut by Chad Jewett (electric guitar and vocals), Chelsey Hahn (electric organ and vocals), and Ceej Wolf (drums).

On their brand new song, released today, the band says:
“What’s New On The Beat Scene” was really fun because we went in with this very sharp Booker T. & The MGs / Rubber Soul groove and this big hooky chorus and then just started adding and subtracting to see what might fit. We wanted a tight, swinging pop song, but we also wanted to see how psychedelic we could make it — fuzz bass, mellotron, Vox organ through a wah pedal: you name it.

The song is pure fun, with a quirky arrangement, lively pace, infectious energy, and the perfect production for its genre. Hi and welcome to this interview. Tell us about your latest release, Lisergicana.

- Hello everybody! Lisergicana is our first EP, it was born from the desire to make noise with only bass and drums. We would like to join our words to a very heavy sound and pressing rhythms. There are 5 fast songs that don't wash over you but they shake the listener inside.

How would you describe your sound?

- A raw sound composed by a simple drum and a fuzz bass, all united by the voice which does exactly what you don't expect.

What do you write about?

- In our Ep we talk about every single human feeling, from anger to pain, going through torment and ending with carefreeness.

What do you listen to when you are home?

- The real question is what you don't listen! If you share some time with us you may listen to Grace, Du hast, Go with the flow, Breed or Bloody Mary in less than half an hour!

Your favourite live performance so far?

- The most beautiful live was playing only one song for a charity event which included different performances. Before us there was a child singing his favourite song and after us a quartet playing '60s music. Very different performances united for something good was very inspiring.

Tell us a funny story that happened in studio or on stage

- During our last live the bass was connected through bypass for a mistake, the result? Half set list without distortion, so panic, breathe, connect all in the right way and then start over again. Memorandum for the future: check everything twice before start.

Your favourite albums?

- Samanta: Is very difficult chose only one album overall: at this time “Trust” of Never Obey Again is my soundtrack.

- Gabriel: One Dimensional Man - You kill me.

A musician you would like to meet for a beer?

- Gabriel: I think Paul McCartney has a lot of xxxxxxx to tell!

- Samanta: Surely Dave Grohl.

What would you ask for backstage, if you were the most important band on earth?

-Gabriel: I'd like a giant screen to watch “Fight Club” and end our concert like the last scene. Samanta: maybe a big party or maybe a chill night with a horror movie.

What are your plans for the near future?

- We hope we'll be very soon at the recording studio for our next EP to share our music with as many people as possible!

NorthFork - Tell Me

Too Early to Tell - OLD TIMER

Too Early to Tell is an alternative rock band from Long Island, New York. Formed in 2015, they’ve put out an EP, an LP, and several singles featuring their signature brooding, moody, and melodic blend of grunge, alternative, and indie rock.

The band describe their new single: "“Old Timer” is an alternative rock song with fuzzed-out guitars and shoegaze textures; the track builds from anxious, tension-filled verses to cathartic, explosive choruses."

I really like the intensity of the song and the constant change of dynamics. The song features super catchy vocals (check out the chorus) and it's amazingly written and performed by the band, with some very tasty guitar parts, amazingly arranged and exploring different territories (I love the part at 2.45).

BRIA - Optimus Masochist

BRIA is a hard‑rock power trio fronted by Angelo Bria, proof that surviving the Sunset Strip in the ’80s leaves you with character, hearing loss, or both. As the former voice of Aaronsrod, he helped create the 1986 cult metal album Illusions Kill before the band became a staple at Gazzarri’s, The Troubadour, Whisky a Go Go, and countless other stages fueled by cheap beer and no backing tracks.

After decades on the road, Angelo settled in the Pacific Northwest and joined Earth To Ashes as bassist and co‑vocalist. BRIA released Target Audience in 2022, Stop Quality in 2023, and in 2026 dropped Optimus Masochist, the first single from their upcoming EP produced by Lowell George Granath.

The track bursts with energy, attitude, and pure rock spirit, featuring stellar production, inspired riffs, and catchy yet powerful vocals, with a chorus that will get stuck in your head, powerful bass lines, and some guitar vibes from Angus Young, Slash, and Eddie Van Halen in some details. It’s a song worth spinning and following if it hits the right chords.

The Pyramids - Upside Down

The Pyramid are a five‑piece from Helsinki, formed in 2018 after the progressive rock band Ruhler Sloinc came to an abrupt end following the sudden passing of their virtuoso guitarist, Rudi, due to an undiagnosed heart condition.

"Upside Down" is the name of their new single, a song in between a few genres, with a big melodic hook and a catchy chorus. It carries the weight of Soundgarden and Alice in Chains, with a hint of Black Sabbath and a psychedelic, old-school twist in the middle that brings Pink Floyd to mind.

It’s an interesting mix of genres played with plenty of attitude by the band, and topped off with a tasty solo at the end. The song is amazingly performed, and overall I find it very interesting and original.

The song is taken from Beautiful Mess, Gin’s first album in eight years. I love the mood of the song and it's very 90s in the spirit, straight to the point, energetic and with super catchy vocals. It reminds for some reason, of Pixies, but with a more modern twist.

What happens when the release of a band's debut exceeds their wildest dreams of what's possible? 12 months ago, Cwfen (pronounced 'Coven') released their first album, Sorrows, which emerged from attempts to demo some material at a friend's studio in a remote Scottish farmhouse. The results received instant and widespread acclaim, enjoying glowing reviews in the heavy music press (Metal Hammer, Kerrang!) and featuring in album of the year lists at the close of 2025.

Fast forward 12 months and the band have toured extensively with Paradise Lost and Faetooth, and played countless festival stages, crushing audiences and gaining new fans with consistently powerful performances of the Sorrows material.

To mark the first anniversary of the release of their debut, and the whirlwind 12 months that have passed since, the band are making two special releases of the album available for the first time. The first is a digital deluxe edition of 'Sorrows', which presents the original tracklist alongside more than 40 minutes of previously unheard music, including blistering live tracks from their early shows and recent touring, early demos of key songs, and eerie sonic experiments composed during the making of the album. The second new release is a special 3rd edition vinyl repress of Sorrows on neon violet vinyl, limited to 300 copies.

Fresh from a performance this week at Download Festival, the band are excited to share these releases, as they look ahead to a summer of festival performances across Europe, and then to beginning the process of preparing album number two.

Mary Thomas Baker said:

"The process of making 'Sorrows' involved fully inhabiting the songs while recording and performing, as well as group processes of deep listening, field recording, and experimental sound design. All of these is represented and extended on the deluxe edition, which includes everything from high energy live versions and song demos, to grimy dictaphone recordings of early practices, and manipulated field recordings we captured in the eerie surroundings of Deep Storm Studios. We are excited to release this material, which gives an insight into the past, present and future of the band, for the first time."

Speaking about the live recordings, Guy de Nuit says:

"We've recorded as many gigs as possible since we started, so we wanted to share some of these. The two live tracks are Bodies from our second ever show in 2023 at Glasgow's Core Festival, and Whispers from March this year in Belfast, on tour with Paradise Lost. We loved hearing the difference three years made, and thought others would too. We have always been a band that prioritises our live show, and we think these capture that journey.”

Ok Goodnight - Stop/Go (2026)

Stop/Go, the new album by Ok Goodnight, features ten tracks that effortlessly mix art rock, progressive metal, and alternative indie vibes. It explores themes like cause and effect, taking risks, and questioning free will. The record captures a sense of catharsis, embracing the complexity of human nature through emotions like fear, rage, joy, anxiety, and nostalgia.

It consists of 10 tracks for 47 minutes of music. A strange and confusing start, before a super tasty combo bass/drums for the opener No Sound, a very peculiar one, amazingly performed by the band, with a few interesting changes. The following track, 22, was released as a single, and I love the mood (again, fantastic rhythm section), the catchy vocals, and the heavy finale.

Top of the Bottom is very intricate and technical, which reminded me of The Mars Volta. Fantastic song. More relaxed vibes for the following jazzy The Game, before turning into a prog one, with fantastic guitars.

Among other songs, I love the moody Spiral, released as a single as well, the acoustic arrangement of Call Me Away, the nervousness-and-Broadway feel of The Show. Among the final tracks, the delicate (but intricate) The People, and the atmospheric finale of Where I'm From.

Stop/Go is a super interesting album, very personal, eclectic, and with lots of original solutions. The production is perfect for the genre and the band's performance is absolutely spot on. Give it a go by clicking on the Spotify player below and check out the Artist Website

Manuel K - Like A Flower

Manuel K is an independent rock singer, guitarist, keyboardist and songwriter from Azmoos, Switzerland. He founded and fronted the rock band Nextmile, releasing several EPs, performing widely, and appearing on Swiss radio and TV. After the band split in 2012, he launched his solo career, releasing eight singles and two EPs to date. His music has reached international online radio, numerous music blogs, and multiple chart placements on digital music platforms.

“Like a Flower” is one of the standout songs in Manuel K’s live set, originally released with his former rock band Nextmile. The new version features a true family lineup: his son Jayden on drums, his daughter Allison on bass, and his sister Angela on second electric guitar. The track was recorded, mixed and mastered by Marco Jencarelli, with video production by Ruppen Productions.

I find the song very energetic but easy listening at the same time, with catchy vocals and a good production. It's a feel-good song, with some very tasty guitar solos and overall amazingly performed by the band. HAKEN launch new single ‘bleeding sky’; European headline tour announced

UK progressive, alternative metal band HAKEN recently returned with their first new music in 3 years, and they continue with another brand new track titled ‘bleeding sky’. As with ‘in a fever dream’, this new track was co-produced and mixed by George Lever (Loathe, Sleep Token), crafting some of the most emotionally direct material of the bands career so far. On this song, the band recruited Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood (Periphery) to play bass.

Jack Shields is a Los Angeles–based indie rock musician who blends Americana and rock with detuned electric guitars, pedal steel, and raw, honest songwriting about flawed people, small failures, and everyday absurdities. In July 2025, Jack Shields & The Mojave Rush dropped their debut double album, Cherry Pick the Past, a 20-song journey shifting between country-tinged dirges and blown-out garage rock, crafted over years of writing and recording.

His new track, Avalanche Hour, has a killer vibe, with sharp guitars, an irresistible mood, and super catchy vocals. The solo section hits hard, giving off some old-school Black Sabbath energy. Gooseberry is a trio from Brooklyn, New York, mixing alternative rock, indie, and blues creates a distinct sound in each of their songs. The band comprises Asa Daniels (guitar, vocals), Evin Rossington (drums), and Will Hammond (bass).

The band describe their new song: "Go Fish is about realizing a few more years have got behind you than you remembered—i.e., turning 30 and finding out the hard way that your mind and your body operate differently than they did in the carefree days of your twenties. There’s still a burning fire, but the blaze has changed in color. Thinking too hard about the passage of time inevitably leads to thoughts of nostalgia and yearning for simpler times, like the perfect youth that your memory sanitizes as it drifts further from your present."

I love the grunge vibes, the sharp guitars (great riffs!), the punchy vocals, the change of dynamics (very creative and solid rhythm section), the band's performance, and the production, absolutely perfect for the genre. CREW Republic, one of Germany’s best regarded craft breweries, is thrilled to confirm that its award winning Trooper Progressive Lager will be back in Eddie’s Dive Bars in selected European city destinations for the current 2026 leg of Iron Maiden’s RUN FOR YOUR LIVES World Tour.
Craft beer pioneers CREW Republic began their collaboration on Trooper with Iron Maiden in 2023, since when many pints of Trooper Progressive Lager have been sold in countries ranging from Germany, France, Italy, and the UK to Canada. Trooper Progressive Lager also won the gold medal for Germany at the World Beer Awards 2024.
CREW Republic first caught the eye of Iron Maiden lead vocalist, respected beer expert and founder of Trooper Beers, Bruce Dickinson, when its “Drunken Sailor IPA” won “World’s Best IPA” at the World Beer Awards in 2020.
Based on their reputation for brewing excellence, Bruce set them the challenge of creating a stand-out German lager. The result was Trooper Progressive Lager, a truly exquisite, sessionable 5.0% alcohol lager in a golden bright yellow, balancing accentuated bitterness and a lush hop bouquet with light citrus notes, strictly following the German “Reinheitsgebot” brewing laws.
Trooper Progressive Lager was created in close collaboration with Bruce, who describes the beer as: “(...) dangerously drinkable! It’s lovely and light and fresh. It’s beautiful, very refreshing, perfect for a summer's day, or any day for that matter!”

Cabin Beat is a three-piece band from Selby, North Yorkshire, formed in 2023, featuring Riley on drums, Keir on bass, and Will on guitar and vocals.

The band describes their song 8:30 p.m.: "It's the heaviest song from our new album called 'Busy Being Born'. It's an energetic and fun song to listen to. Heavy but with a good amount of melody and with super catchy vocals (check out the chorus) and very cool drum parts. I love the sound of the guitars and, speaking of that, there are some tasty solos as well, in the last part of the song.
