You’re wondering if anyone can hear or understand you, all while trying to grab ahold of anything to pull yourself out." I love the riffs (great bass lines) and the contrast between very aggressive vocals during the verses and the melodic chorus. It's amazingly performed and with the right sound for the genre as well.

Black River Delta - Shame On You

Black River Delta, the blues rock quartet from Bollnäs, Sweden, have made a name for themselves since their inception with a raw and soulful sound deeply rooted in the Swedish forests of Hälsingland.The band has previously released the acclaimed albums Devil on the Loose (2016), VOL II. (2018), and Shakin’ (2021), shaping their sound through everything from Robert Johnson and R.L. Burnside to contemporary acts like The Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr., and BRMC.

About their new single they sad:“Shame on You is a little love letter to terrible decisions, questionable relationships and that brilliant human talent for ignoring every warning sign in plain sight. Broken hearts, bad timing and absolutely no interest in learning from mistakes. This one took the scenic route. Got lost, picked a few fights, disappeared for a while and somehow found its way back. I love the energy, the sound and the performance. The song is punchy but with super catchy vocal lines (check out the chorus, it will get stuck in your head) and a fantastic performance by the band. Teddy McGraw - Told You

Hailing from New Jersey, Teddy McGraw is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist carving out a sound at the crossroad of alternative rock, country, folk, and punk. Blending sharp alternative sensibilities with Fleet Foxes, inspired harmonies and a penchant for live improvisation, McGraw handles every single element of his recordings himself, performing all drums, guitar, bass, and vocals. A regular on the New York live circuit, he also pulls double duty as the drummer for the McGraw Project, who dropped their debut album in 2025.

Teddy comments on his song No Way Out: "This song developed as a jam from my previous punk band named Worst Case. It has a definitive 90s alternative rock influence from Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, and Queens of the Stone Age with a post-chorus highly influenced by the Cure. The song lyrically is about hearing whispers of a secret you wish you didn't tell. I performed all the instruments and vocals on the song."

I find the song very enjoyable from start to finish thanks to catchy vocal lines, very inspired guitars (check out the solo) and a solid rhythm section A quality song, amazingly performed and with the right sound for the genre. Diver Through - It's The Sky

For more than a decade, Diver Through has been the creative vehicle of songwriter and musician Michael Baynes, a project built on authenticity, perseverance, and a passion for memorable alternative rock. Rooted in strong songwriting and shaped by years of experience across multiple music scenes, Diver Through continues to evolve while staying true to its independent spirit.

The name Diver Through first surfaced publicly in 2013 after Baynes gathered a group of friends to record a collection of new songs in a single night. That spontaneous session resulted in the Scattered Days EP, released through Subluna Records and marking the official beginning of the project.

Before launching Diver Through, Baynes honed his craft as the principal songwriter for Jacksonville, Florida-based modern rock band HAVEN. During that period, he experienced his first commercial radio airplay as an unsigned artist. Later, after relocating to New York City and embarking on a solo career with Subluna Records, his music gained traction on college radio stations throughout the United States, appearing on numerous university playlists and compilation releases from outlets such as CMJ, Magnet Magazine, and Jacksonville's 93.3 Planet Radio. His live performances took him from New York to Florida, including a BMI songwriter showcase at New York City's renowned venue, The Living Room.

The years that followed saw Baynes pursuing songwriting opportunities between New York and Nashville. Along the way, he embraced a more hands-on and independent approach to recording, collaborating with writers, singers, and musicians while refining his artistic identity. Eventually, he realised that genuine creative fulfilment could only come from remaining true to himself rather than chasing industry validation.

Following the release of the solo single Wherever You Are I'm Going in 2018, Baynes returned his focus to Diver Through in 2019, unveiling the home-recorded tracks Be Enough and Go. In 2020, during a period of uncertainty across the world, the project delivered The Way We Were, its second full release of original material. Featuring standout tracks such as Last Photo and the title song The Way We Were, the record was warmly received by college and independent radio stations.

Now, Diver Through returns with ALL NIGHTER, the band's third release on Subluna Records and arguably its most energetic statement yet. Where The Way We Were opened with a reflective Cure-inspired instrumental atmosphere, ALL NIGHTER announces itself immediately with a burst of guitar feedback, signalling a broader, louder and more expansive sound. The album embraces a full-band approach, packed with bigger hooks, driving rhythms and an upbeat energy that runs throughout the record.

Among its highlights is "To Death," an atmospheric rocker built around the intriguing concept of how casually people use references to death in everyday language. Another standout, "Vials," tells a poignant and deeply human story of grief, following a character who travels across the country scattering the ashes of a loved one until only a final vial remains.

Recorded across multiple locations, the project combines the talents of several collaborators. Drums were engineered by Chuck Nash in Jacksonville, Florida, while Baynes handled the remaining recording duties in New York City. The album was later mixed by Alex Dezen at Sally Studios in Los Angeles, helping shape its polished yet emotionally resonant sound.

At the heart of ALL NIGHTER lies the album's lead single, "It's The Sky." According to Baynes, the song became the key that unlocked the entire project.

"I wrote most of these songs in three to four months leading up to the studio session. I knew we were going to record in May and I essentially ditched all of the songs I had written in the previous twelve months and focused on new songs for the band as a three-piece. It's The Sky came later, but as soon as I recorded the demo I knew it was going to set the overall tone for what we were doing."

Baynes explained that the title was inspired by an article discussing the increase in clear-air turbulence caused by climate change. One phrase in particular stayed with him: the idea that when things seem to be getting worse, "it's not you, it's the sky that's changing." He transformed that observation into a powerful metaphor, using it as a lens through which to explore change, uncertainty, and perspective.

Musically, "It's The Sky" is an instantly engaging track. Combining polished production, memorable vocal hooks and a distinctly 90s-inspired alternative-rock aesthetic, it delivers a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly contemporary. The song captures everything that makes Diver Through compelling: thoughtful songwriting, emotional honesty and a knack for crafting melodies that stay with the listener long after the track ends.

With ALL NIGHTER, Diver Through demonstrates that independent rock can still be ambitious, heartfelt and exciting. Led by Michael Baynes alongside bassist Mike Rellah and drummer Ken Nasta, the band continues to build on its foundations while pushing its sound forward. Tell us about your latest release.

Band: Our latest release, the single "No Lights," came out in June. It's a sample of what Horse of Troja sounds like with this new line-up: melodic heavy metal with reflective lyrics.

Henna: Due to personnel changes in Horse of Troja that took place this year, our latest release contains only three songs. Two of them are re-recordings of previous material, and the third is our newest track, "No Lights." It was produced quickly because we wanted to drop fresh material and happened to have some studio time left over.

How would you describe your sound?

Band: Guitar-based, riff-centric heavy metal. We make the most of having two guitarists, drawing inspiration from classic twin-guitar acts like Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, and Accept.

Henna: You could summarize our sound as melodious heavy hard rock. It consists of riff-driven guitar and bass work, powerful vocals, and heavy drums with double-kick action.

Lukasz: We try to keep it tight!

What themes do you write about?

Band: The band name kind of forces us to explore history and legend, like Greek mythology and Chinese folklore. But we also write about everyday topics that everyone can relate to.

Henna: Most songs traditionally touch on an unhappy love life in one way or another, haha! But we branch out, too. Our newest track, "No Lights," is about wandering alone in the dark with a touch of mysticism. The new members definitely want to introduce fresh perspectives into our songwriting.

What do you listen to when you're at home?

Niclas: It's always easy to fall back on the classic hard rock and heavy metal I grew up with. But there are great new bands out there too, like Tailgunner and InVincia—Lex Legion is pretty interesting as well. The genre still has a bright future.

Pertti: I grew up on Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Status Quo, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Magnum, Budgie, Thin Lizzy, Saxon, Accept, and Kiss, so I constantly return to that decade.

Henna: I mostly listen to rock music ranging from the '70s to the present. I love discovering new artists all the time—there’s so much out there! Beyond heavy rock, I also bump a lot of modern blues and funk.

Lukasz: My rotation covers hardcore, nu-metal, electronic, jazz, soul, rap... pretty much everything.

What has been your favorite live performance so far?

Niclas: The mini-tour of Ireland in June with the new line-up. Fantastic people all around—both the bands we shared stages with (Ren Marabou and the Berserkers, Trowsholm, and Ten Tonne Dozer) and the venue crowds.

Pertti: The original lineup fell apart in November 2025, which was incredibly stressful while searching for new members. Once this lineup solidified in January 2026, that weight vanished. Hitting the road and performing these shows with the new group felt absolutely fantastic.

Henna: With Horse of Troja? Ireland was a blast, and we made a lot of new band friends out there.

Lukasz: It’s yet to come!

Share a funny story that happened in the studio or on stage.

Niclas: We've only been together for just over six months, so we haven't had time to embarrass ourselves properly yet—ask us again after the album! The closest we've come is a classic Spinal Tap moment getting lost on remote Irish back roads instead of backstage corridors.

Henna: Me repeatedly crashing into the drum cymbals set up right behind me. I did it multiple times every time I tried to stand near my monitor, haha!

What are your favorite albums of all time?

Magnus: Anything and everything by Black Sabbath and Kingdom Come.

Niclas: Gary Moore's Run for Cover—where he really found his true hard rock voice—and W.A.S.P.'s The Crimson Idol. Few singers blend passion and pain the way Blackie Lawless does.

Pertti: Magnum’s Vigilante and On a Storyteller's Night, plus Judas Priest's British Steel and Point of Entry.

Which musician would you love to sit down with for a beer?

Magnus: Tony Iommi and Lenny Wolf.

Niclas: Dave Murray—the quietest member of Iron Maiden. We'd love to hear his side of the story.

Pertti: I've been lucky enough to meet many of my favorites, but the one I wish I could have met is John Bonham.

Henna: Bon Scott and the Young brothers.

If you were the biggest band on earth, what would be on your backstage rider?

Niclas: A full-size Trojan Horse filled with blue M&Ms! Jokes aside, we'd demand that promoters and venues give up-and-coming bands real opportunities to play live. Stage time is the only way you learn to perform.

Magnus: A full Middle Eastern buffet.

Pertti: Pork tenderloin with green peppercorn sauce.

Henna: A personal stylist to handle my makeup...

What are your plans for the near future?

Band: We're currently finishing a full-length album that showcases the current direction of Horse of Troja, and we're aiming to lock in festival slots for 2027.

HOPE serves as a timely meditation on a turbulent time in the modern world. The album's compositions come from Stolt and keyboardist Lalle Larsson, with its centerpiece being the nearly 30-minute epic "The Gods of Rome." Originally conceived from orchestral ideas developed more than a decade ago, the piece took an unexpected creative journey, at one point nearly becoming the musical foundation for another Anderson & Stolt project before ultimately finding its true home with The Flower Kings. Joining Stolt and Larsson once again are Hans Fröberg on vocals, Michael Stolt on bass, and Mirko DeMaio on drums. The project was created by New Jersey bassist and songwriter Rope Ganjee and works as an international collaboration between musicians from different countries. Over the years, CrowsVsRavens has featured guitarists Rich Grabowsky and Filippo Rosati, drummer Chris Bohm, and vocalists Rob Lundgren, Ged Cartwright, Trever Laake, Elvya Dulcimer, Marko Duplisak, and Berzan Onen. Fans of Rush, Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, Iron Maiden, and Fates Warning will probably hear some familiar influences, but CrowsVsRavens isn't interested in copying anyone. The project blends progressive ideas, traditional metal, atmosphere, and emotion into its own distinctive sound.

The debut album, We Shall Have to Learn, introduced the project's wide-ranging musical style. Within the Depths moved into darker territory with a science-fiction concept running through the album, while Revised Reality saw another leap forward in songwriting and production, earning praise from Prog Magazine. More recently, The Grey continued that progression and was included in Prog Radio's Top 20 Best Albums of 2025.
