Sony has announced the name of its most anticipated motion controller as the PlayStation Move at a conference during GDC 2010. The motion controller looks like a microphone with a pingpong ball like top which has an LED inside.

The PlayStation Move will hit the market this fall and will be available with three options:
1) Only PlayStation Move under $100.
2) PlayStation Move with PlayStation Eye camera.
3) PlayStation Move bundled with Eye Camera and PS3 console.

The PlayStation Move controller can be used with games that involve guns, swords, punching and much more. The Move wand was demonstrated with several motion control games that included a medieval sword game. The Move controller appeared capable of processing every gesture and angle in the game including right or left hand slashes to shield blocks to a hands-behind-your-back stance.

Existing games like a cooperative-angled demo of LittleBigPlanet were also demonstrated where one player controlled the game with a regular PS3 gamepad while a second player used the Move wands to handle the environment.

The device can be connected to USB interfaces and comes with attractive buttons for navigating left, right, up and down. In-built speakers are effective enough for those who like listening to the buzzing game music.

Strategy, entertainment and other fun games can be played on the Nintendo DS Lite device. However, the prime question is who needs such gaming devices and that too why to spend $129 on such low-featured device?

Gaming platforms are becoming smarter and more integrated. Most of the best in class gaming devices can be integrated with PC, Internet can be accessed on these devices and Bluetooth is becoming a de facto too.

Communication masterpiece from Apple might surpass its commercial availability schedule of April, 2010. Hon Hai Precision Company, Taiwan based manufacturing giant has undertaken the manufacturing contract of iPad.

The Taiwan based company was slated to produce minimum of 1,000K units of iPad starting February, 2010. The production delay is caused my sparse availability of a communication chip At the moment the manufacturing capacity is wavering around 300K units a month. The situation is not likely to get resolved in the coming months of March-April, 2010.

Millions across the globe are waiting to get their hands on the robust iPad. It seems that their aspirations will take aback hearing this news.

Apple is known to make calculated moves right from the launch to product rollout in the past. This negligence might be a marketing gimmick too. A delay in commercial availability of iPad might hamper the brand equity of Apple in the long run.

At the same time, its competitors might get to benefit. They might launch their electronic slate versions at a lesser price tag in the market. Various counterfeit products on iPad are already in the making in China and other Asian countries.
