I know I’m only updating my new site over in glad2bhere.come and have started “abondoning” this site but I wanted to do just one more post here appreciating what WordPress has been offering me all these while when I started using it since my first post here.

I’ve heard about WordPress from other sites and thus felt confident in using it. As a new blogger at that time, I’ve no idea what it could offer and what I should be looking at but somehow WordPress just fit me nicely. I like how it has an administrative template that given me enough space to create my own blog and how it is so straight forward for me to do my posting.

At first I was having difficulty in understanding what is API and where to get it, but the answer is so clear and straight forward that I instantly got it and get my plugins working. Another great thing about WordPress is that I can include some simple Plugins that is available readily in the panel. Even if I wanted more advance plugins, I can download it somewhere else and uploaded it here in my site with ease.

I don’t need to worry about the site design as well as I can easily get some great pre-designed template for it. All I need to do is to load it over at my WordPress administrative dashboard. It is just a few click away.

Another great thing about it is that I can back-up my entire site just as I’ve done here for several times as there were changes of server happened. Just recently it happened that I need to move my entire site to a new domain which I had bought over. That transition is easy to do with WordPress.

I’ve never used other blogging platform other than WordPress and Blogspot. As for Blogspot. what can I say, it doesn’t allow me to install it in a private domain. So I’ll definitely choose WordPress again like what I’m doing now in my new site Glad2bhere.com.

All of you who are new in the blogsphere and would like to own a private domain, I would highly recommend WordPress.

Happy blogging!

This was what we had been doing for the past few nights – sewing felt animals!

Yes, even my boys know how to do simple sewing now, those that can’t be sold over Etsy of course, but at least they were learning and they’ve made the initiative in doing it themselves. My supervision is their definite and ultimate support, else they won’t even be given the chance in getting near a needle like Sleeping Beauty.

The thing is I have curious kiddos, especially Calvin who always love to get into my scrap-room, look around for my stuff, used them and suggesting things that he can do with them without even asking.

Well, I guess and I hope they he eventually will grow out of it but after one try on making these little elephants, he wanted more. He is now trying to make a little puppy which I have no idea if I know how to assemble them correctly without having the final photo available in the pattern.

I know the first thing that he’ll ask me tonight when I got home from work is to help him to do the felt puppy maybe after his talk about getting a present for his schoolmate, or maybe refusing to eat his dinner. I do wonder if this will make him any softer as having acquire a new skill of sewing.

I wonder if this will hinder him from wanting to know more about auto accessories in the future, or maybe Ultra-man, or Ben 10.

By the way, blue is partly made by Mervin, and brown is mainly done by Calvin, not bad huh!?

He came up to me one night when I’ve started with one of the duty that I hate most and said “Mommy, I want to wash those plates!” Of course I had stopped him ‘cos I was afraid that he might broke those China. But knowing that once he has decided to do that, it would be really hard to change his mind and I’ll end up having a long whining kid with tantrum later, I let him do the dishes. Yes, I’ve put on the apron for him so that he would wet his shirt, he got himself a wooden chair so that he can reach the sink and he started washing the dishes carefully without even scratching one China! Yup, a young child labor in training.

I thought he would have stopped and dislike the idea after one try, but he continue to request in doing this job for the next two consecutive nights. Next thing was Calvin also want to join in the fun, but he is rougher than the little brother and I worried more for him to break those dishes. I hope tonight they won’t be offering their help again.

It was just a month apart that he took out his first tooth. I’ve been trying if I can just pull it out but he complaint that it was painful and I was a bit scared to do that to him. So going to the dentist is unavoidable, plus it was taken out in less than 10 minutes time. Driving part is longer compare to that.

According to the dentist, next will be his two front teeth. Maybe by Christmas he’ll be singing “all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth…” *LOL*

Oh ya.. look at his hair. Yup, he did it again, he cut them off himself. I told him he looks like the coconut shell.

I had a dreadful morning last week. First, it was raining heavily and it was dreadful to get out of bed in that kind of “sleep-in” weather. So getting up the boys also feeling guilty. Then we were late due to that plus Calvin has been dragging on some time in wanting to have his “devil’s egg”.

Getting late is one thing, but after reaching the school, he doesn’t want to get out and started to plead not to go to school! There were already some cars behind me waiting in line to drop their kids off the school, so I had to drove to the parking area and really press on on why he doesn’t want to go to school till he cried.

Finally after about 5 or 10 minutes, he told me that he got beaten (just a little pat on his palm) by the next class teacher who is teaching Malay Language ‘cos he doesn’t know how to spell. I was furious at that time thinking that how can you beat a little boy when he just doesn’t know how to spell? All the while I’m thinking he has no problem in his class ‘cos I’ve been getting positive feedback from his class teacher. Little did I know that he has been hiding his books, his homework and he has been scoring zero in his weekly spelling test. There is no two way communication between me and his Malay Language teacher, I’ve got no phone call saying that I need to pay attention on my boy ‘cos he has been doing poorly in his class. I was totally in the dark till that day. Till I got the chance to talk to the teachers.

However one thing frustrated me is that the teacher wasn’t talking in a good suggestive tone on how to deal with it, and I suspect other kids also doing poorly in their Malay Language ‘cos didn’t get the proper encouragement from the teacher.

Never mind to that, so I’ve started to pay more attention on Calvin’s Malay Language as he is doing fine with other subjects. Extra talk, extra encouragement for him. Hopefully he is not afraid to learn more about that language and he will development his language skills properly.

Just that morning itself already put me in a low mood. I think more gray hair has grown out that morning, probably when I get older, I’ll need the best hgh releasers to maintain my youth.( :p)

Nothing happened on our house. Due to the independent day holiday, the rain, and basically the contractor is busy in other sites, he is abandoning my house. Nothing much that the two of us can do, but silly us, we went over to sweep and wash the floor on Monday before hubby went off to China. While he was doing that, the electricity went off probably due to the water socking into some leakage. Thank God that the electricity went off else he would have spent the entire evening in the house doing cleaning work.

We’ve got someone to do our grill and back roof, now only left those fans, exterior lights, sockets and piping done with faucets. I’ve already got some facets that I like but still left those for master bathroom which hubby said he is going to install them himself. I’m hoping to get some nice discount faucets somewhere for that but definitely looking into good quality faucets.

We are trying to use back those grill and at least that can safe some cost. Still 5 windows, back-roof, one window roof already cost around RM3k, not counting the labor charge for altering old grill. Talking about money, we’ll at least need another RM10k for furniture and electrical appliances. Phew.. that’s a lot to me.

I must admit Hubby do have a good taste on tiles, I’m not so bad either *grin*.

He has chosen the tiles for our ground floor and kitchen wall. All probably base on the price that we can afford. He’s only seen the final result from those photos that I’ve taken. However, he’ll be here to enjoy his choices tonight.

We tried to use homogeneous tile for floors and ceramic tile for wall as ceramic always got more choices even though they are not heavy duty, thus for walls they are okay. Initially before starting to renovate our house, I’ve no idea what is homogeneous and why it is important. I’ve also used homogeneous tiles for the kitchen top, though I still dream of having granite top which is way durable and beautiful than tiles. Never-the-less, I’m proud to say that the tiles that I’ve chosen is not bad either.

Took this photo days ago when the worker had just finished doing the counter, thus it was still really messy and I went over late in the evening. Wall tiles chosen by hubby, counter top tiles by me, floor tiles are the original tiles came with the house. Not bad huh!?

Yup, the whole kitchen is not done yet. Those hose / water taps are not up yet. I can’t wait for it to be done actually.

So far the main door is still not up yet and finger crossed that Superwood will do their best in getting it sprayed and vanished/polished.

I might loose my site ‘cos I can’t renew it without getting the permission from my previous host, who didn’t pay up DreamHost for any plan that she had with them *sigh*.

I’ve actually started to look for another domain name that I can buy and have actually bought one over sharing the same name with this site. I hope I can swift things over to the new site as I do have an account with and an agreement with a company that I’m working for. I’m still waiting for their respond regarding this matter.

On the other hand, DreamHost has contacted my previous host but there is no respond from her. Jade from CBD-Hosting is definitely better and more professional in dealing with this, that’s why I’ve decided to stick with her and have hosted my new site (glad2bhere.com) with her too.

I know I won’t be loosing all my post as I can do back-up for them, but I might just loose some of you who drop-by once in a while. Another thing is that I’ll need to rebuilt the site design with all those links/blogroll and custom HTML code. I don’t need much special treatment on the site since I’m not using difficult coding or database there. Nothing major with special treatment like acne remedies. The only concern now is if the company that I work for allow me to change to a new domain.

The boys are officially following a coloring class starting from today for 4 days. Since it is the school holiday and the class is near to my office, plus they love it after the trial, I took this opportunity for them to learn something new and also let them to get out of the house and their usual classroom for awhile. They were excited about it and has since been asking when they can start right after their trial class on Saturday.

They also had some free time at my office exploring the place, trying out the typewriter and watching some part of a video on how to draw. Apart from that, they had been my bodyguard, clocking in for me, opening door for me and checking out if my place is safe to work! That is according to my hubby.

According to me, when they were here, I need to make sure that they don’t get into trouble checking out all the things in my office, making sure that they took something before the class else they’ll be very hungry when the class is over. Another thing is I need to make sure they don’t disturb my colleagues when they were running around the office. Lots of things to guard them instead. While I was doing that, my adrenaline flow, my heart beat faster, I suppose they are still my best weight loss pills. I felt so busy when they were around and felt relieve when they are not. *LOL*

Well, in another half an hour time I’ll go fetch my bodyguard and send them off to my babysitter. At least over there, I’m sure they’ll got fed and have their nap. Calvin still refuse to take proper food. Food that I think is good, to him is like poison. Time for us to eat, to him is a no-no. I still don’t know what to do with him, probably I’ll need to bring him to the doctor and see if something is wrong. He can’t be a strong bodyguard if he stay this way.
