Another glitter party here!
I've seen many displays of these Sally Hansen Gem Crush nail polishes at drugstores. I wanted to try them all! They are packed with glitter, and have an array of shades. I got the one in Glitz Gal, which is a very unique color. It a charcoal gray, but sometimes looks a bit navy. I layered it over Sinful Color's Secret Admirer, which is a charcoal gray/black with silver shimmer. The Gem Crush polishes look amazing on their own. I actually prefer this color alone more than with a base color. They look a lot more glittery on their own. When the light hits it, it has this gorgeous multicolor reflection. The only complaint I have is neither of these polishes last very long. I painted my nails yesterday, and if you look close you can see the tips are already worn away.

QuickQuestion: Banners, Intros, & Other Graphics

Before I start anything new, I always like to ask my subscribers/followers first! I'm so excited for this! So I have a few questions...

I've always really been into graphic design, (hence why its my major in college). I love making banners, blog layouts, backgrounds, graphics, photo editing, and now getting started on YouTube video intros. I started doing it waayy back in the Xanga days. Remember that old blogging site? I think I was in middle school piddling around with this stuff. I used Paint that comes on computers! It's pretty sad. Then in the days of MySpace, I made tons layouts and designs for that. Now that I have my own real blog, I enjoy making banners and layouts for it. As for YouTube, before I made partner I made a custom background that gave my channel some glam without the privilege of a banner. Now that I am partner, I made the banner I have up now. I've taken a few graphic design classes- a web design class, and a video editing one. So I have some background on the basics of HTML and editing.
Now I sound like I'm writing a resume..on to the point of this post! :)

So since I've been making a few banners and such for my girls...Sabrina and Nicole (hers will be up soon!), I thought I'd either start up a section on my blog or a new blog for graphic design. I figured if any of you want a banner for your blog or YouTube channel we could work together to design one. I could also help with a blog or YouTube "makeover", photo editing, or YouTube intros.

I haven't decided how I'd want to set this up though. I could either have a section for it on this blog, or create a new one. I'm leaning towards just keeping everything on one place. I have a hard time keeping up with multiple websites, this is why I don't have a Facebook like page!

The other thing with this is I would need to charge something for the services. I don't plan on asking a ton, just something for my time. I am in college and currently juggling a lot. Also, there's laws against using some things for distribution such as fonts, images, and music. I would have to purchase them to be able to make things for something other than person use. So a fee for graphics is a must to cover all of that.

So I'm asking you all, what types of amounts would you be willing to pay for: a banner, YouTube intro, blog layout, small graphic, and photo editing. I am thinking around $15 for banners and intro, no more than $20. A whole blog makeover would obviously be more since it includes banners, layouts and all that. NOTW: Classic French Tips

A basic french manicure is always classic and sophisticated. Whenever I get tired of wearing colors, or I just can't decide on one, I switch back to this. Its so easy to do, if you have the Kiss Nail Artist polish in White. It has a skinny brush, so it makes painting the white tip really simple. If you have trouble, try using french tip nail guides to help get the perfect line, or you can just use tape. This is optional, but if you want that flawless look, I suggest using a sheer polish that is a skin color that looks most like your nails. I used Essie's Pink Glove Service before applying the white tips. It looks very pink the bottle, but it's actually a sheer skin tone. Finish off with Seche Vite's Fast Dry Top Coat for a glossy look.

DIY/VIDEO: Dye Your Hair at Home & L'Oreal Hair Color Review

This is the before and after. I had used this dye about a month and a half before the "before" picture was taken. I also did not cover it as evenly that time, so that is why there is blonde showing through. As you can see in the "after" the blonde is covered, and the color is exact with the box.

These to images above were taken after about 7 weeks of color. As you can see, the color still looks great, just lighter. The roots are not even very visible, and none of the blonde has come back.

Hey girlies! It's been a while since I've done a nail of the week. I have been so busy with the holidays, but I am getting back into the swing of things. I recently got this Essie Set in Stones, from the Luxe Effects collection. It's so gorgeous! This is literally the most shiny glitter polish I have ever seen. This picture does not even give it justice. There is so much glitter in it, and each piece is like the shiniest metal. It even has a bunch of really fine glitter in it that fills the space. You could layer this and wear it on its own, or you could use a base color under it. I used Sinful Color's Out of This World underneath. How to/VIDEO: Curl Your Hair with a Flat Iron (even if you have curly hair!)

♥ Basic Steps:
1. Blow dry hair straight if it is course, wavy, or curly
2. Straighten the root if your hair is curly
3. Clamp the flat iron at the top
4. Flip the section of hair over the iron
5. Spin the iron an entire 360 degrees until the piece of hair is facing downward
6. Slowly pull the flat iron down the strand, WITHOUT STOPPING
7. Use fingers to curl the strand in the correct direction

NOTW: Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Wet Cement

This week's nail color is very different. It's very wintery and chic. Essie came out with a similar color in their fall collection, but this one's cheaper and still gorgeous! This is Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Wet Cement. It's a light cool grey, that looks great on most skin tones. And it goes with every outfit! I've done a NOTW with this polish back when I got it, but in that I used a glitter accent. Hopefully soon I'll do a Winter Nail Polish Picks video!

The Hana Professional Flat Iron is considered one Misikko.com's best flat irons, along with being the a top seller. It has a sleek flat black design, with blue ceramic tourmaline plates. Negative ions seal the hair cuticle, for soft, sleek hair, with little to no damage. The adjustable heat setting ranges from 140-450 degrees. It has a 1" wide plate, with beveled edges and a rounded tip to prevent snags. Since it is a 1" iron, it was easy to get close to my roots. And the beveled edges keep it from forming those nasty kinks. Even the design of the handle makes it comfortable to hold and helps me grip it. The iron heats up after about 30 seconds, and the light will begin to blink when it is ready. The heat distribution and design allows for you to easily curly or flip your hair out with it. It has a 8 foot swivel cord, so you can do your hair anywhere. Although I don't recommend straightening hair when its wet, the Hana Flat Iron is safe on damp hair. Always dry your hair completely, but if it's still a little bit damp somewhere, it won't hurt it. It even comes with a 2 year warranty!
The flat iron comes with a heat-proof storage pouch, heat-proof mat, leather case, and storage tin.

The performance of this flat iron totally blew me away. I have tried this without blow drying my hair first, like I did in this video, and it only took about two passes down the piece of hair to get it straight. (That is with it set on 450 degrees). I blowed dried my hair first in this video though to save time, and it helps it straighten better. It slid down my hair so easily, and did not snag at all. There was some steam coming off of my hair, but that is totally normal. It's not the hair burning, its just the moisture being taken out of the hair and turning to steam. I have never seen a flat iron that made my hair this soft and silky. My hair even held up on the humid days, and it lasted the whole time I had it straight.

Yikes! I know.

I'm obsessed with anything rose gold, and Orly's Rage has always been my all time favorite. Its the perfect rose gold shade- not too gold and not too pink. And its super metallic looking since its made up of tons of fine glitters. But to amp it up a ton, I added Sally Hansen's Strobe Light for extra glitter! Its a pretty pinkish-purple glitter that can be layered for the intensity you want. I applied one coat of each for this gorgeous rose gold shimmer!
