THE DEETS: Last night some of our digital fashion and beauty influencers escaped the sweltering heat to relax and get pampered before the dog days of summer take over. Guests sipped sweet sorbet cocktails created by Smirnoff as they put their feet up for pedicures and manicures, makeup touchups, and a spot of sushi and, of course, sorbet. The stylish insiders were also offered a chance to peek into their future with tarot card readings, courtesy of tarot diva, Sasha Graham. Glam ensured that each gal left with everything they need to stay sultry, not sweaty, this season. Check out a peek of what was inside:

Gwyneth Paltrow has a lot on her plate lately. Besides maintaining Goop, she’s opened a blow dry bar, published her second cookbook, and was named People’s Most Beautiful Woman. But now the multi-tasking mom is adding an old title back to her resume: fragrance spokesperson.

The Iron Man 3 actress is the face of Hugo Boss’ newest scent, Boss Jour Pour Femme. Lensed by Guy Aroch and Jordan Scott (daughter of Ridley Scott) for print and TV respectively, the pair focused on the energizing air that it takes to keep up with Paltrow’s schedule. “I think Jour is the perfect name for it – it’s very uplifting,” she told Women’s Wear Daily. She wakes up everyday at 7:00 AM to get her children ready for school before a workout and putting effort into her ever-expanding wellness site.

The perfume itself contrasts Boss Nuit Pour Femme with notes of grapefruit flower and lime, freesia, lily of the valley, and honeysuckle at the heart of it, and white birch and creamy amber to anchor the base.

Amongst all of her activities, Paltrow’s actually a fragrance collector with at least a hundred in her possession. “I am one of those people who have a whole closet full of perfume. I love it; I have always loved it and have always had a wardrobe full of scent.”

Boss Jour Pour Femme will be available for $46.00-$75.00.

Veggies that were once the domain of the health obsessed—wheatgrass, kale, the whole chard family—are now being blended into juices and smoothies every day across America. I’ll admit, I was initially skeptical about the whole thing. That tends to be my reaction whenever something becomes too popular. But it turns out that the whole juicing and smoothie craze was actually a trend that I could and should get behind, and when I did a 3 day juice cleanse myself it made such a noticeable difference in my appetites that I knew I’d be getting into it myself.

I have an issue with texture, and the thickness of smoothies can be too much for me. I find myself preferring to juice rather than blend my vegetables for that reason. In my last post about juicing I was pretty candid about the experience—the good and the bad. So given the fact that I almost peed my pants on the way home from the post office the last time, what’s making me do another juice cleanse? The fact that juice cleanses help me to regain control and awareness of what I’m ingesting. Here are three reasons why I’m totally doing another juice cleanse:

Doing a three day juice cleanse proved to me that I did have self-control. Lately I’ve been feeling a complete lack of self control, and I feel the need to rein in my appetites again. Juicing helped to slow me down in terms of my consumption. I went into the juice cleanse not thinking I could actually do it. Proving myself wrong felt awesome!

Juicing helps to remind me of what food truly is about—and that is nutrition. So instead of eating because I’m bored or having a particular craving, juicing reduces it all to the bare essentials my body truly needs.

It helps to kill my sugar cravings and my unholy desires for white processed foods. After my juice cleanse experience, I felt like I learned how to eat right again and it helped to reset everything. Now to just somehow manage to keep it up, forever!

I’m about to go on a decadent vacation to South Florida, where I’ll be consuming mass quantities of Caribbean and Cuban food, all washed down with sugary sweet cocktails. When I get back I totally plan to get my mind and my body right with the three day juice cleanse, and a focused exercise regimen. Summer’s coming and I want to be ready!

Are you into juicing? Have you tried a juice cleanse? What were your results?

The normally platinum blonde beauty decreed it was “smurf day” on her Instagram and she shared a few pictures of her new blue hair.
Blue hair has been synonymous with another songstress (and colorful character), Katy Perry, but the vibrant hue surely bucks the red and blonde trend we’ve spotted on celebs lately. And definitely don’t worry about matching your nails to your clothes – where polish is concerned, it’s anything goes, as long as you remember this: the brighter the better.

If a skin treatment that does it all—from moisturizing to blemish concealing—sounds appealing to you, then join us in our latest obsession over BB Cream. It’s more than a fixation; this is a product we can make a lifelong commitment to. In celebration of our newest beauty addition, here’s a love letter stating the five things we “really like a lot” about you, Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream (available in normal to dry and oil-free!).

1. An all-in-one product, the cream addresses a multitude of skin concerns—from discoloration to dryness to dullness—while providing coverage to even skin tone too. Marketed towards ladies with different skin types, this non-greasy confection comes in two forms: one for normal to dry skin and the other containing absorbent mineral perlite for oily.

2. A combination of lipidure microspheres and glycerin retains water in the skin. With such hydration, expect superiorly soft, moisturized skin.

3. With the normal to dry formula containing vitamin C, the cream enhances radiance and firmness of skin to provide a healthy glow thanks to boosted collagen production.

4. With SPF 15 in the normal to dry and SPF 20 in the oil-free product, Garnier BB Cream provides automatic sun protection on a daily basis.

5. Available in an array of shades, the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream is for every woman. What’s sandal appropriate to some might horrify another. If beautifully manicured feet matter to you (and that goes beyond a mere polish change) then read on! These at home pedicure devices will have your feet looking perfect and feeling silky soft in no time.

SpaSonic: I’m a big fan of sonic skincare devices. These spinning brushes are most often used for the face and body, but the SpaSonic goes one step beyond and offers a pumice head for those in need of smooth, callus free feet. Its battery powered and highly effective, and priced just right for those who want costly skin cleansing products in their lives but can’t justify spending more than $100.

Emjoi Rechargable Micro-Pedi: The Emjoi micro-pedi battery operated callus remover is a beast. Think of it as a mini battery-operated power tool for your feet. You’re only supposed to use it 2 to 3 seconds at the time, while it sand blasts the dead skin off your feet into white dust. Proceed with caution and all will be fine, and you’ll be left with feet so touchably soft you’ll barely believe they’re yours. Warning—this product might be addictive. I literally had to have my husband take it away from me. The temptation to totally treat your feet can be dangerous!

Conair Waterfall Footbath: Okay, so you’ll never fully replicate the experience of going to a professional spa for a pedicure. It’s too messy for your average living room and it’s unlikely that you have a massaging chair at the ready. The whole thing about having a pedicure is that you are indulging complete luxury, so naturally the DIY pedicure can’t duplicate the overall experience. But if you use a Conair Waterfall Footbath at least your feet will be soaking in luxury at home. Add your own warm water and bubbles, and try to pretend you are at your favorite spot.

With these three DIY pedicure devices your feet will be in good shape come this summer. Thank us later!
