Last night while on facebook I came across this wonderful advertisment.It portrayed the innocent patriotic love for Pakistan so well that it literally had me in tears.

A VISIT TO URBAN CAFE MM ALAM ROAD LAHORE

Tucked away on a small road off of mm Alam is a comfortable and cozy cafe. The interior of the cafe is unique and centers around iconic hollywood movies and a whole corner is dedicated to comics and disney movies.
This place offers a variety of crepes,shakes and paninis as well as other options such as rice and thai chicken. The specialty is undoubtedly deserts. They have amazing cakes mouthwatering cupcakes and chocolates. One portion of the cafe is dedicated to frozen yogurt by yogilicious.
It is a relatively new addition to the culinary horizon in lahore but it has made its way to the top very quickly. The reason being not only they offer a variety of dishes, the taste is amazing and the prices are not heavy on the pocket.
We have been to urban cafe quite a few times and loved their crepes, steaks and breakfast. This time we opted to have nachos with salsa dip and urban cafe chicken. The nachos are a new addition o their menu and frankly they are nothing special. It is a plate full of doritos chips drizzled with cheese sauce and jalapeños with a side of rather bland salsa sauce.we give it 5/10.

Coming to the main entree ,the urban cafe chicken took the spotlight. Slices of tender,juicy chicken filled with black olives and a variety of herbs with the most tangy and creamy sauce.it is served with steamed vegetables. As always the the portion size was huge.

Along with that we order their nutcracker shake which was so yummy that we were forced to order another one. The chocolate milkshake is topped with whipped cream and is sinfully delicious.
Final thoughts:
This place is definitely worth a visit and their cakes are not to be missed. The only thing one could point out,if any is that the service is rather slow considering the cafe is usually half empty.
Ambiance 10/10
Food 8/10
Value for money 9/10

6TH OF MARCH 2015:

The launch event of HSY by Ittehad Lawn was planned in three major cities..Karachi,Faisalabad and Lahore.On the evening of 6th March it was Lahore's turn to enjoy a total feast for eyes.The venue,Raja Sahib Shopping Mall,Liberty was beautifully decorated with white floral arrangements and dazzling lights.The routine environment of Raja Sahib had morphed into an elegant and alluring atmosphere charged with enthusiasm of fashion fanatics.The whole credit of transformation and management goes to LOTUS PR.Hats off to them for pulling off such a beautiful event.

The crowd was going crazy with excitement.Some of the serious fans were waiting outside since 12 noon for the event.The excitement was infectious and it was hard not catch it.

As we discussed in part 1(here) regular cleansing,hydration and sun protection are very important in all skin types(Read to see product recommendations).However,even after all this care skin problems may surface.For such problems we use targeted treatments.The main problems are:

-Acne[For moderate to severe acne I have discusses medical treatments and very effective regimen here]

-Dull skin

-Hyper pigmentation (hormonal or sun damage)

-Premature wrinkles.

As mentioned I have discussed acne in a separate post,however girls with mild acne or blackheads etc or who are trying to keep acne away should read on. As for the rest of the problems treatment is more or less the same.

Night is the time our skin is resting and repairing.At night the products get more time to work on our skin.So,lets see what night treatments should be considered.

NIGHT TREATMENT:

Now that your skin is getting mature you need to show it some extra care.Using a treatment serum at night is a great idea.If you want radiance and clear skin then you have a variety of options.The Alpha Hydroxy Acids(AHAs) [i-e Glycolic acid and Lactic acid] and Beta Hydroxy acids.AHAs work superficially and BHAs work deeper.The uses differ and so they have been mentioned under the problem they treat.

Today,I am doing a post on a very interesting topic.I love reading and trying stuff that promises radiance and even skin tone.However,the fact I paid very little attention to was that skin goes through so many changes with age.The time of twenties is a time of slow transition.Your skin adjusts to your environment.The hormone levels also settle down a bit and the crazy skin days of teenage are less frequent.Most of the girls understand their skin better by the time twenties hit.So,all in all its a period of relative stability.The strong oil control formulas and super mattifying powders don't give the same perfect results as before.Reason is that skin is not as oily as it used to be.Subjecting it to harsh treatments will only result in dullness.I was not very attuned to these fine points,but now that my twenties are almost ending(sadly) my experiences can help so many girls who are having a hard time finding effective skincare regimen.So, today I am going to list a few steps and products which, if integrated in skin care regime, will go a long way in giving a glow and radiance.
