Kylie Minogue In Alexandre Vauthier Couture – ‘The Voice UK’ Photocall

Earlier today (January 6) Kylie Minogue was officially revealed as the new-season judge for The Voice (replacing Jessie J) alongside Will.i.am, Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson.

Having never watched The Voice (mostly because of my dislike for Will.i.am), Kylie’s inclusion in the line-up of judges is likely to make me give the music talent show a try.

The singer wore a sexy well-tailored strapless Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2013 dress with a thigh-high slit, white asymmetrical panel, black PVC panel and gold waistband.

Posing with one leg to the side à la Angelina Jolie, the judge donned a pair of black-and-gold peep-toe heels, wearing her honey-coloured tresses in tousled waves and oozing elegance and sex appeal.

I much prefer Kylie’s version of this look over the runway. Do you?

The new series of The Voice kicks off in the UK on BBC One this coming Saturday (January 11) at 7pm.

Bradley Cooper: Joining a host of lovely ladies on the red carpet at the 2013 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, the actor continued his impeccable red carpet run wearing a classic Tom Ford suit. While the likes of Adam Lambert continue to pique my interesting with off-beat suits, there is nothing quite like a traditional suit and bow tie that is guaranteed to make me swoon.

David Gandy: The handsome model joined Kylie Minogue at Dolce & Gabbana’s Bond Street store for their London Collections: Men Event. Smouldering, as he does, David wore a Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with a luxe velvet blazer with satin lapels styled with a grey tie and brown shoes for an interesting twist.

Michael B Jordan: The actor, who still needs to work on his red carpet pose, attended the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s 8th Annual Kirk Douglas Award For Excellence In Film Gala on Sunday (January 5) in Santa Barbara, California wearing a shawl-collar-lapel Hugo Boss suit with Christian Louboutin ‘New Platers’ flats.

Idris Elba: The British actor joined his ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ co-star, Naomie Harris, on the red carpet for the 2014 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala also wearing a traditional suit and bow tie. He also wore Louboutins; opting for the tassel accented ‘Dada’ flats.

Donning her second look from the holiday period, Naomie Harris attended the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala held at Palm Springs Convention Center on Sunday (January 4) in Palm Springs, California.

The stunning ‘Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom’ star wore an ivory Chantilly lace 3/4 sleeve gown with floral appliqués and a black velvet belt from Naeem Khan’s Spring 2014 collection.

At times, black and white doesn’t always excite me, but this look is much improved with the black waistband, especially with the additional styling of the oval Rauwolf clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Maury’ sandals.

All white could’ve had a touch of ‘here comes the bride’ about it.

David Morris jewels, red nails and wavy locks completed her look.

The French actress, who is the face of Miu Miu’s Resort 2014 ad campaign, opted for a two-in-one look, much like Lupita Nyong’o, wearing a pretty pink wool Prada Spring 2014 embellished coat over an even prettier Miu Miu Spring 2014 floral-print long-sleeved high-neck frock styled with mint-green Miu Miu suede pumps with orange embellished detailing.

I am hoping you all love this look as much as I do.

Some may think it’s not in season, or that its over embellished for a daytime look, but I love that its colourful, fun, cheery and banishes the winter blues I have been having since returning from vacation.

Simple makeup and a no-fuss updo perfected the look.

Drawing quite a bit of attention, Rita Ora headed to Chinawhite nightclub in London on Saturday night (January 4).

The British singer made quite a splash wearing a short, colourful My Little Pony x Alice Vandy dress.

The dress was a collaboration between My Little Pony and Alice Vandy to celebrate 30 years of the hyper-coloured cartoon characters.

She styled the look with Ferragamo thigh-high beige boots with lace stitching, a red choker, a selection of colourful bracelets and of course her signature red lip colour.

Should Rita have taken one thing off before leaving her house, or should she have just stayed at home?

Kylie Minogue supported her favourite Italian designers, Dolce & Gabbana, by attending their London Collections: Men Event at Dolce & Gabbana’s New Bond Street Store on Sunday (January 5) in London.

The Australian singer/actress wore a full D&G look, selecting a black-and-white polka-dot blouson-sleeved dress with a lace hemline from the designers’ Spring 2014 collection, opting to style it with a smaller Sicilian gold-coin belt.

She accessorized with black suede over-the-knee boots and a black Dolce & Gabbana ‘Miss Sicily’ bag.

I would’ve preferred that her footwear be more leg lengthening but, considering the non-stop rain and low temperatures in London, the boots were almost mandatory.

Meryl Streep was almost unrecognisable on the red carpet at the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Sunday, January 4, in Palm Springs, California.

The actress wore a dressy-casual look donning a black Michael Kors knit sweater with gold studs from the Resort 2013 collection, styled with black tapered pants, a black Michael Kors barrel clutch and black pumps.

As this was quite a dressy affair, some might be disappointed by this offering, but considering Meryl's choices aren’t always so flattering, I have to say I love this from head-to-toe and find it very refreshing.

The mistress of prints was at it again and doing ‘it’ in fine fashion.

As you know Solange Knowles is currently down under performing at various events, but is seems that she’s saving the reason why I love her–her love for prints–for Instagram.

Look One: For New Year’s Eve, she wore a spunky Clover Canyon Resort 2014 dress with an amazon jungle print, wood and straw photo collage dress with a flounce skirt. She offset her look with simple, black cut-out sandals and cat eye sunglasses.

Look Two: Posted on Instagram the a few days later, Solange wore a Mary Katrantzou Resort 2014 ‘Kite’ efflorescent silk halter romper that features a poppy field print backed with hazy mountains atop a graphic grid of building blocks on the short. Circular shade, a frosty pink lip colour and black ankle Jimmy Choo Freya strap booties finished up her look.

Having championed Lupita Nyong’o from the very beginning, I was delighted to see the actress keep the good work going from 2013 by kick starting 2014 in fine fashion for the 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala held at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Sunday (January 4) in Palm Springs, California.

She wore none other than Elie Saab Couture, donning a stunning coral sleeveless dress with gold brocade embellishments from the Fall 2012 collection, opting for a matchy-matchy look with Christian Louboutin ‘Gwynitta’ sandals, a belt and a grand 3/4 sleeve coat from the same collection.

While the coat does give this look a regal air of sophistication, I do prefer Lupita’s look without it, as more of her silky smooth complexion is seen against this breath-taking gold and coral combo.

Cartier jewels and a chocolate lip colour completed her look.

On Christmas day (December 25) Pace Wu was busy celebrating the launch of her new fashion book, ‘Pace Wu’s Style Book: Fashion Alive’ while we were all busy opening our Christmas presents.

The model/actress at that point was 8 months pregnant (would you believe it), wearing a lemon Valentino Resort 2014 short-sleeve trapeze dress, which does a great job of lightly showcasing (but mostly covering) her bump.

Not allowing anything to compromise her style, Pace completed her look with 6 in. aqua blue Christian Louboutin pumps.

I think she already takes the Best Maternity Style of 2014 award with just one perfect look.

Matthew McConaughey : The actor, who lost a lot of weight for his role in ‘Dallas Buyers Club,’ looked suave in a Saint Laurent metallic gold blazer with black satin lapels styled with a white shirt, black trousers and a bow tie, which is yet another side-step from the usual Dolce classics he tends to favour. While he optimizes Dolce & Gabbana like no other, I am loving this experimental phase with other designers. Are you?

Camilla Alves: Forever the stunning plus one, the TV presenter opted for a sassy Mikael D black sleeveless gown, from the designer's Spring 2014 collection, with sexy sheer lace panels playing second fiddle to that thigh-high slit. Casadei t-bar ‘Blade’ heels, a satin clutch and voluminous curls completed her look.

Fergie attended Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve 2014 with Ryan Seacrest held at Sunset Gower Studios on Tuesday, December 31, in Los Angeles, California rocking two looks.

Look One: The first was a mixture featuring an Aryn K double-breasted blazer, Balmain Pre-Fall 2013 black-and-gold blouse, Wes Gordon gold sparkling pants, and Giuseppe Zanotti booties. Jewelry from Loree Rodkin with a high, twisted ponytail completed her look.

Look Two: The second was a considerably more glamorous look. Even though I much prefer this Rubin Singer Spring 2014 black glass and crystal embroidered halter gown with Loree Rodkin jewels, I wish she had kept her hair up.

The actress continued to embrace colour wearing an Alex Perry pink front, orange back, sleeved frock with lace accents from the Australian designer's Resort 2014 collection.

While I want to give Sandy major style points for this look just for the colours and fit alone, that visible so-called “illusion” neckline ruins the look for me.

This is such as shame considering the styling was perfect with the gold Jimmy Choo ‘Charm’ clutch, nude Atwoods and complementary pink lip.

You won’t be surprised that the most talked about person of 2013, Miley Cryus, was front and center for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2014 with Ryan Seacrest held in Times Square on Tuesday (December 31) in New York City where she delivered an earnest performance of ‘Wrecking Ball’ in the shadow of the mighty Times Square ball.

Wearing a full look from The Blonds, Miley worked another crop top. This time, the sparkling gold number matched her skin-tight pants which she styled with a long white fur coat from New York based designers and Versace ankle-strap, white, studded pumps.

I think even Puff Daddy would be jealous of the fur coat.

The actress, who should’ve been considered for most consistent in 2013, looked divine wearing a Juan Carlos Obando Spring 2014 halter dress featuring polka dot print with a black waistband, which separated the larger print on the top half from the small print on the skirt.

I love that the dress could’ve been uber sexy at the flash of her leg, even though she strode down the elegant route on this occasion.

A super tight bun, Cartier jewels and Casadei nude pumps made for a more pared down form of style than the oversized jewels favoured in the look book.

Idris Elba and Naomie Harris ended 2013 on a high note, looking stunning as they have during their stellar promotional efforts for ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’.

Both were on hand to receive honours for their performances in the movie as they were named Actor and Actress of the Year, respectively, at the 2013 Capri Hollywood Film Festival.

Naomie Harris: The British actress donned a Marchesa Voyage marble tuxedo dress with a black shawl, collar lapels and a lace insert accenting the plunge which she styled with Christian Louboutin Estanodo patent leather peep-toe booties. Are the shoes too literal considering the dress, or do they complement the dress perfectly?

Idris Elba: The actor looked devilishly handsome as always wearing all black save for his burgundy cashmere sweater. Wearing an overcoat instead of a blazer has served him so well.

Adam Lambert joined Miley Cryus and Katy Perry for the grand opening of Britney Spears’ two-year residency, ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Wednesday, December 27, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As you would expect, the singer didn’t play it safe opting for a blue-and-burgundy-checked Vivienne Westwood Man suit, accented with a safe pin brooch. A simple white shirt, black lace up shoes, a selection of jewels and a perfectly trimmed beard rounded out the look.

This is a great look, even if it feels slightly mute by Adam's standards. I hope to see a lot more of him in 2014.

Continuing to meander outside of her comfort zone, the actress delights wearing a Gucci one of a kind beige-and-black leopard pattern lace mini dress featuring gold embroidered detailing on the sleeves and hemline.

Styled with black Gucci pumps, a Wilfredo Rosado ring and a black Roger Vivier ‘Boite de Nuit’ clutch, Julia completed her look with long sweeping bangs covering an eye with 'barely there' makeup providing the finishing touch.

Solange Knowles performed on stage during the Falls Music and Arts Festival on Sunday (December 29) in Lorne, Australia.

Wearing all red, the singer donned a high-neck sleeveless crop top with matching culottes, which I’m sure we will see a lot of over the coming weeks.

Back to sporting braids, the singer and fashionista styled her look with yellow, orange and red pvc Fendi Spring 2014 sandals with a white heel and a bold red lip.

I love the outfit, but her shoes are on another level of fabulous.

Katy Perry In UNIF – ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ Opening Night

Katy Perry joined Miley Cyrus at the opening of ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Friday (December 27) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Opting for a quirky look, the singer wore a UNIF oversized sequined dress with ‘Nu Frenz 0′ emblazoned on the front which she wore with a white, layered tulle skirt. Quirky Katy touches included her fuchsia pink metallic Chanel quilted backpack; part-nude fishnet, part-black stockings; and the heavy black Balenciaga ‘Ceinture’ cut-out buckle ankle boots.

A high-braided ponytail and pink lips completed her look.

While I do love it when quirky Katy occasionally comes out to play, this thrown together look does nothing for me. It all feels a bit lazy.

Blake Lively In Gucci – ‘Gucci Premiere’ Competition Winners Event

Blake Lively met ‘Gucci Premiere’ competition winners held at Galeries Lafayette, Dubai Mall on Friday, January 3, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which coincided with the first day of the Dubai Shopping Festival.

During an interview, Blake was heard saying, "I put my fashion choices together just like everyone here does.” The only difference is we don’t have every designer on the planet wanting to dress us.

Appearing in very good spirits, the actress wore a shimmering Gucci One of a Kind fully embroidered black short sleeve turtleneck cocktail dress with silver beaded detail on the neck and sleeves while seated on a gold throne-like chair as she signed autographs for fans.

Keeping the styling simple, she wore her hair up into a simple ponytail with a selection of rings (including her wedding ring) rounding out her look from what I can see, but I’m sure she was also wearing some sky-high Louboutin pumps.

Miley Cyrus In Vintage Calvin Klein & Vintage Issey Miyake – ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ Opening Night

Miley Cyrus attended the opening of ‘Britney: Piece of Me’ held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Friday, (December 27) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With her cropped hair at that awkward growing out stage (which is also in need of a touch up), the singer continued the 2013 summer crop top trend donning a makeup-stained vintage Calvin Klein gold long sleeve top worn with a black vintage Issey Miyake black suspender skirt, which she styled with plaid Versace Spring 2014 pumps, a selection of jewels and a glossy red lip.

Showing yet more support, for Britney she carried a Britney Spears backpack emblazoned with pictures of the singer as a teen.

For some reason I don’t hate it. She has the body to pull it off, plus the skin exposure is nothing we haven’t seen before.

Sexy or trying too hard? I find it fits in neither category, so I will let you decide.
