Metallic hardware, structured tailoring, and strong; exaggerated shoulders have been seen on the runways of Dolce and Gabanna, Max Azria, Alice+Olivia, and Givenchy- to name a few. The look has been all over Hollywood on stars like Rihanna, Cyndi Lauper, and Anne Hathaway.

The strong lines and metallic, textured leathers and fabrics resemble towering, buildings - only in the most stylish cities, of course. Ultra-short; leg-baring hemlines do well to elongate legs - especially when accentuated with platform ankle boots.

Not sure you can pull-off such an edgy look? Try structural silhouettes in lightweight fabrics, like this Alice+Olivia  blouse. Pairing flowy dresses and soft knits with studded, leather boots by Proenza Schouler to inject just the right amount of edginess into your wardrobe.

Oh! Don’t worry! They’ll be coming back in a design that will “change your life forever”, or so says the executive vice-president of Gap design, Patrick Robinson. The idea behind this is to practically reconstruct the jean brand in the stitches, style and fabric and morph it in to what is proudly boasted upon as “1969 Premium Jeans”, the ultimate denim collection and a must for today’s busy, casual, easy going public. Despite the sudden inspiration to change a denim brand that has been popular for decades, Robinson had simply flicked that aside and stated “”Gap was giving you jeans for only one part of your life — the casual. Denim has changed. I now need jeans for casual, brunch with friends, going to a bar, going on a date and going to work, and so do you.” Now, how can we argue with that? Overall, no GAP denim is safe. All men’s, women’s and children’s styles are being altered to GAP’s plans for better, stronger and can-wear-anywhere-your-little-heart-chooses denims and are set hit U.S stores next Thursday, price range being $54-$57. The change should be more significant in men’s and women’s denims, where for men, slimmer, more durable and flexable will be the concentration points and for us girls? Well, guess what ladies, the jeans are apperantly going be so hot, our butt will look glorious!

The twenty seven year old Hudson and her fiancé David Otunga have been dodging media speculation of a possible pregnancy. Of course, who wouldn’t try to dodge the very human disaster that is the media when in such a delicate position such as being on one’s way to becoming parents? Finally they dished the dirt on Monday at a hospital in Los Angeles where  David Daniel Otunga Jr was born at 7lbs. Aw!
This is a diffident turning point in luck and joy for Hudson who went through a tumultuous point in her life a year before when she lost her mother, brother and nephew, who had been shot dead in her home city of Chicago, Illinois. Hudson’s sister, Julia’s, husband, William Balfour has been charged with their murder. In this case, good things come out of the hardest times. From us fans to the beautiful Hudson, her fiancé and their new bundle of joy, we wish you all the best!

The pair surprised and delighted us with news on their then-newest project which had taken in form of a giant dollhouse. The giant household contains 55  handmade porcelain dolls (each about 2 ft tall), chronicling some of the most interesting and vibrant designs by the two in the last fifteen years (starting from 1993). The outfits are meant to be exact replicas of each design at the time, from the model’s hair style to the most delicate of details, all assorted by collection in each of the rooms.

The result? A spectacular dedication to fashion. But don’t think this was any easier to pull of then an actual runway or the dresses. In fact, each minimized outfit took two times longer to put together then the full sized original. The dolls themselves were delicately crafted and hand-painted painstakingly to resemble their human counterparts. Creepy, yes. Over the top, absolutely. And purely Viktor & Rolf. In September of 2008, Viktor and Rolf were asked to promote this dollhouse masterpiece In London’s (UK)own Barbican Art Gallery. The exhibition was an instant success. For those of you who are instantly inspired to check this out on your next glamerous trip to London, UK, read on: Is it still there? No. The dollhouse was relocated to, and to this day resides, in Utrecht, Netherlands. There hasn’t been any news of it leaving any time soon, either. But lets all hope this crazy fashion phenomena decides to take another road trip in the near future for a display in a mesueum on this side of the world. So yeah…Viktor? Rolf? Hint hint, nudge nudge!

Hennes&Mauritz AB said the famed shoemaker - one of the favourite pump labels of “Sex&the City” character “Carrie” - will launch the collection in 200 H&M stores on Nov. 14, including covetable shoes and bags as well as a women’s clothing line to match them.

Jimmy Choo will also provide a men’s collection of shoes, bags and accessories.

According to Jennifer Uglialoro, a spokeswoman for H&M’s U.S. business, most of the footwear will range from $99 to $129 for boots, though there are over-the knee boots priced at $299. Shoppers can also find ballet flats for $59.95. Handbags will be priced from $59.95 to $299.


As for clothing, shoppers can find $69.95 sequins tank tops and $249 suede one-shoulder dresses. Uglialoro noted that the collection will be sold in about 10 to 12 U.S. stores in major markets, but those locations have not yet been decided.

Jimmy Choo’s designer shoe collection at department stores and boutiques range in price from about $600 to $1,200.

Most of H&M’s clothing sells from $60 to $89, Uglialoro said.

“We adore Jimmy Choo’s shoes and bags,” H&M’s Creative Designer Margareta van den Bosch said in a statement, adding it was the first time the company collaborated with an accessory brand. “I like the way we have worked with clothes to accessorize the shoes and bags rather than the other way around,” she said.

Jimmy Choo founder and President Tamara Mellon vowed that her brand would bring H&M “a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection.”

“We are privileged to be among the fashion greats who have been affiliated with H&M so far,” she said.

According to Stockholm-based H&M, Jimmy Choo - which was founded in 1996 - has been worn by Hollywood celebrities such as Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry and Hilary Swank.

H&M has previously collaborated with both pop icons and designers including Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli and Viktor&Rolf.

Top-model Miranda Kerr can be seen naked on the new cover of Rolling Stones magazine, the Green Issue.She poses naked in order to raise awareness about the loss of koalas’ habitat in Australia. Miranda Kerr told Rolling Stone there are only 100,000 koalas left in Australia.

“It’s a sad thing. There are only about 100,000 koalas left in Australia. Something like 80 percent of the koalas’ habitat has been destroyed since Europeans arrived in Australia.”

The nearly eight-minute mini-movie, featuring a murderous plotline that revolves around a doomed starlet who’s hounded by photogs, oozed out online Thursday, seemingly before the fashion-forward diva was ready for it to debut.

How do we know Gaga didn’t intend for the clip to get out yet? One clue is that she Tweeted, “Stop leaking my mother—-ing videos,” on Thursday while in Australia. The clip for the singer’s new single was reportedly set to premiere on U.K. station Channel 4 on June 4.

In the clip she gets pushed off a balcony but returns to kill her boyfriend with some poison hidden inside her ring. The song is sure to be another hit for Lady Gaga. Take a look:
