Those of you who have been following me for a while now probably already know that the kind of looks I show on Glamgerous tend to be always different between one another. However, for those of you who have just started following me the answer is NO: I am not insane! Nor am I affected by some multiple personality disorder. But I mean, isn't what clothes are there for? To me, they are there to change our appearence and humor, to make us feel sweeter, more aggressive at times, more low-key some days or more eccentric some others..and YES, I could go on forever, and when I say forever I mean it. But fortunately for you I'll stop right here.

All this chit chat just to tell you that today's look is another one of my "experiments". Black and White with Red as blood lipstick. The more I look at it, the more it makes me think about a completely independent woman, totally aware of her charm but who tries to hide it behind an almost malish look. A woman who doesn't like to talk that much. One that could push a knife into your heart while kissing you passionately goodbye. In just a few words: an Androgyn Assassin.

Ok, maybe I'm just a bit crazy! Must be those damn thriller movies my boyfriend forces me to see all the time!

Chi di voi mi segue da un po' probabilmente già sa che su Glamgerous propongo look di stili sempre diversi, e per chi invece ha iniziato a seguirmi da poco la risposta è NO: NON SONO PAZZA, e neanche sono affetta da crisi di personalità multipla (almeno, non che io sappia).

In fondo i vestiti sono la per quello, per farci cambiare aspetto e umore, farci sentire più dolci, più aggressive, più low-key, più eccentriche, e SI, potrei continuare per ore...potrei davvero giuro! Una volta che prendo il via è la fine; ma per il vostro bene mi fermerò qui.

Tutto ciò per dirvi che il look di oggi non è nient'altro che un altro dei miei esperimenti. Nero e bianco, con rossetto rosso fuoco. Più lo guardo e più mi fa pensare ad una donna completamente indipendente, conscia della sua femminilità ma che la cela dietro un abbigliamento quasi maschile...Una dalle poche parole che potrebbe piantarti un coltello nel cuore mentre ti bacia appasionatamente...in due parole: un'Assassina Androgena.

Ok, forse un po' matta lo sono!

Questo e' uno dei capi che piu' adoro. Un body firmato Dress the Population che dalla foto non rende assolutamente ma che non vedo l'ora d'indossare! Ho gia creato l'outfit, ora non resta altro che scattare le foto!

Blue petrolium skirt from Lulu's.com which for some weird reason looks emerald in this picture! I really needed something of this color inside my wardrobe and I can already picture it mixed in a million different ways. Remember: if you can imagine something to be wore in at least 3 different ways then think twice before buying it. If on the other hand you can, just go get it!

Gonna azzurro petrolio di Lulu's.com che pero sembra verde acqua in foto :S Sorry per le foto che lasciano a desiderare...ad ogni modo questo colore mancava nel mio armadio e gia' la vedo abbinata in 1000 modi diversi! Ricordate: se non riuscite a pensare ad almeno 3 modi diversi per abbinare un capo, pensateci due volte prima di acquistarlo, nel caso contrario invece...bhe non lasciatevelo scappare!

Seems like one of the must have of this summer is the floral skinny jeans and I, already, became addicted to them! You can immagine my face whene I received this pair of jeans directly from my favorite "shop"... I wrote shop in quotation marks because is not a real shop but it is my mom's closet which sometimes has old stuff but still very cute, because you know fashion comes and goes!
For the hair I tried to styled them in a "fake bob" and I really like the final result...What do you think?
After a while I uncombed my hair because I was already missing them :)
Sometimes it is good tho change, even more if you can go back to how you use to be just by taking off a couple of pins!

Sembra che uno dei must di quest'estate siano di sicuro gli skinny jeans a stampe floreali e io gia' ne sono diventata un' addicted! Potete quindi immaginare quando ho ricevuto questo paio di jeans direttamente dal mio "shop" preferito come sono stata felice. Ho messo "shop" tra virgolette perche' non e' che sia un vero e proprio negozio online anzi, si tratta dell'armadio di mia mamma che ogni tanto sforna vecchie perle, perche si sa, la moda alla fine va e viene!

Per i capelli invece ho provato ad acconciarli in un "fake bob" e direi che l'effetto sia riuscito abbastanza bene... come mi vedete con i capelli corti? Sara' che io a meta' giornata ho dovuto sciogliere tutto perche' gia' mi mancava la mia "coperta" :)
Ma a volte fa bene cambiare look, ancora di piu' poi se si puo' tornare indietro togliendo solo qualche forcina!

For those of you who actually like it better, here is a basic look completely different from my usual self. My other personality has taken over once again and to be honest I'm still in the process of deciding which one of the two I like better. Protagonists of today's look is this pair of David Kahn jeans Fergie herself wore more than once in many of her daily looks. She's always super sexy no matter what, but I, on the other hand, have decided to go for something more casual. Line sweater on top to give the final touch. It's not something I would usually buy but once I put it on I simply adored it, the fabric, the model, how it fits on you: simply Perfection. I hope you will like it!

Per queli di voi che lo preferiscono cco di nuovo un look un pò più secco,completamente diverso dalla solita "me" tutta pizzi e merletti ;) La mia doppia personalità ha preso di nuovo il sopravvento e sto ancora decidendo a quale lasciare il comando! Il look di oggi ha come protagonista questo paio di jeans David Kahn che Fergie stessa ha sfoggiato più volte in alcuni dei suoi outfit.
Lei è un bomba sexy in qualsiasi occasione, io invece ho optato per un look un pò più casual. Per finire, questo maglione traforato di Line, un pezzo diverso da quello che di solito compro ma che mi fa letteralmente impazzire. Spero vi piaccia!

The Garden Of White Roses

White and brown look today. Shorts and shirt from Silvian Heach, with a few accessories with a real attitude matched together with my vintage snake skin clutch that once belonged to my grandma Linda, who I never actully got to know unfortunately. As fas as I have been told though, she had a great sense of style and loved going shopping just like me. Always with a pair of heels at her feet no matter the occasion. Maybe its because of her that I am the way I am today...but I guess we'll never find out for sure. One thing that's sure though is that I participate actively to increase my shopping-related compulsions and symptoms ;)

Ok if you are reading this post it means that you have chosen the third option. Good for me, it means that you can't be easily scared :)
Today's location is a bit weird, to tell you the truth is not even a location but "just-the-first-undercover-place-I-found-when-I-realized-it-was-raining-cats-and-dogs". Even thought the place is not the cutest one I kind of like it the contrast it creates with my look. Flat shoes, very old skirt bought at H&M and high braid, one of my favorites :)

Ok, se state leggendo questo post vuol dire che avete scelto la terza opzione. Meno male, significa che non siete facilmente impressionabili :)
Una location un po' particolare quella delle foto di oggi, anzi a dirvi la verita' non si tratta proprio di una location ma piu' del "primo-posto-al-riparo-che-ho-trovato-dopo-essermi-accorta-che-stava-incominciando-a-diluviare".
Anche se il posto non e' poi nulla di particolare mi piace molto il contrasto che crea con il look. Scarpe basse, gonna secolare di H&M e treccia alta, tra l'altro una delle acconciature che preferisco :)

Those Stupid Little Things

Everybody has its own indispensable things he or she can't absolutely give up on. Those tiny things he or she likes to do and those that if not done drive him/her completely crazy.
I, of course, have mine as well. I am pretty sure that when God created me he must have spilled a couple of ingridients more than necessary cause by re-reading this post I realized that maybe I'm not as normal as I thought I was.

So here is a list of: Those stupid little things that make Camilla...well, simply Camilla!

DISHES: I loooove doing the dishes! It's so much fun to me, it really is! When my bf walks past me he always gives me those looks of total unapproval and sad surrender, as to say "look at her, poor little thing". Deep down a part of him must think that I am a total idiot to like doing something like this. But that's all good, I know he loves me no matter what.... right my love?

THE HOLY MOMENT OF "UNWRAPPING": Everything to be precise. It may sound crazy I know but I go completely berserk if I don't get to unwrap the Box, package, cd, magazine or whatever it is that I bought, longed for, desired and that is finally there, right in my hands, totally ready and willing to be A. unwrapped and B. contemplated to the fullest. Once again, my bf is maybe
as curious of a person as I am, and whenever the postman brings something and I am not home he gets to it and OPEN IT!! And obviously he knows far too well that that drives me nuts...but guess what? He keeps doing it! Carefree and careless, can you believe it?

WRAPPING: I love wrapping things up as much as I love unwrapping them. Needless to say I am the happiest person on earth when Xmas time arrives. A part of me has always been secretely jealous of those girls who get hired in stores right before the holidays just to wrap up the things people buy for Christmas...Who cares about fashion?! Let me just wrap those cute little presents the whole day and I am totally yours!

READING, BUT ALWAYS FIRST: If I buy a magazine, a book or any other thing that can be browsed and read, then I absolutely and unquestioningly have to read it before anyone else will. I mean, don't get me wrong, second hand is totally fine, but the pleasure of reading a new magazine is just priceless. Once I get to the last page, you can do whatever you want with it, but FIRST, let ME read it! And with the last page I mean also the BVLGARI advertising in the back cover. I dunno why there is always a BVLGARI advertising in every damn back cover!

SNIFFING EVERYTHING: I adore sniffing everything. Not just food and drinks and whatever else that might be eaten but literally EVERYTHING! Once the eyes have fallen in love the smell must be equally appealing. Nobody wants to buy something smelly, no matter how good it might look! And I am no exception!

THE POST-SHOPPING REVISION OF MY PURCHASES: This is an even holier moment than the unwrapping one. I would define it heavenly and totally satisfying. Once back home and changed in a cozy pajamas the REAL pleasure can finally start. Yoga position on the bed, take a deep breath and carefully reach for the first shopping bag of the day. Pull out whatever there is inside and start placing its content around you in a nice and organized way. Once you are through the first bag, go get the other ones and empty them until everything is spread around you. Now, this is the moment when you can contemplate the result of a full day of hard shopping. You went look for them, you compared them, you desired them, you purchased them, you dragged those heavy shopping bags around the city the whole dat and now you finally got back home.
For all the reasons above: Do not let anybody get between you and your contemplating moment. Shopping really is hard work after all!

COTTON BUDS: Last but not least, the benefits of using cotton buds. From what I have been told when I am using them my face becomes something between total pleasure and idiocy. Mouth slightly open, eyes semi closed and the breathing slows down for a few seconds as not to ruin the atmosphere of this magical moment between my personsl hygene and I. My mum once told me this is exactly what happens to my father too when he uses them...who said girls always look like their mothers was definitely wrong.

Okay, now you really know quite a bit more about me. At this point you have several different options:
First one: you can decide to immediately close my blog never to come back, labelling me as the cotton buds mad woman.

Second option: you can keep on reading my blog anyway, while in the mean time, looking for a really good specialist to eventually suggest me in order to prevent me from getting dumber than I already am.

Third option: You can have a good laugh, while thinking that maybe if I was able to steal you a smile, it wasn't this bad after all. Sometimes it's good to make a little deviation from heels, clothes and accessories to give a bit of more room to our true daily life. After all, inside those dresses and in those killer heels there's US. Apparently very normal people at a first glance but definitely unnormal ones once known.
The third option is of course the one I would like you to choose but the last call is yours anyway. Obviously without stop reading my blog not even for one day, let it be clear ;)

Ognuno ha le sue fisse. Quelle piccole cose che ama fare o quelle fobie che se non placate lo fanno andare fuori di testa.
Io ovviamente non sono da meno. Ovviamente. Sona abbastanza sicura che quando Dio mi creò ha buttato qualche ingrediente di troppo nel calderone, perchè scrivendo questo post mi sono resa conto che tanto normale forse non lo sono. Ma basta con le chit chat come le chiamano qui in America, e lascio giudicare voi, che forse siete un tantino meno anormali di me:

Piccole Stupide Cose che rendono Camilla....bhe, Camilla!

I PIATTI: Adoroooo fare i piatti! Mi diverte, e tanto anche. Quando il mio ragazzo passa nel corridoio mi lancia sempre occhiate di totale rassegnazione. Credo pensi che sia una totale deficiente per piacermi una cosa del genere. Ci intravedo anche un pizzico di compassione, come per dire "poverina, non si rende proprio conto" Ma va bene così, in fondo lo so che mi ama per quella che sono. Vero amore? ;)

IL SACRO MOMENTO DELLO SCARTARE (qualsiasi cosa): Si, sembrerà assurdo ma vado completamente fuori di testa se non apro IO il pacco, il giornale, il CD o qualsiasi altra cosa che ho comprato e desiderato e che finalmente è li tra le miei mani pronta per essere scartata e contemplata. Sempre il mio ragazzo che è forse curioso quasi quanto me, è solito aprire i pacchi delle cose che ricevo dal caro e buon postino. Inutile dirvi che la cosa provoca in me bollenti istinti omicida nei confronti della sua persona. E CONTINUA a farlo! Can you believe it???
Pensate che quando ero piccola incartavo le mie cose per poi divertirmi a riscartarle... totalmente da padiglione C.

INCARTARE: Adoro incartare, sopra ogni cosa, i regali ovviamente ( e qui vi riporto alla fine del punto precedente). Potete quindi immaginare la mia espressione beata nelle giornate pre-natalizie. Una parte di me è sempre stata segretamente invidiosa di tutte quelle commesse che sotto le feste vengono assunte al solo fine di fare pacchetti e pacchettini. Voglio fare la marmottina anch'io cavolo!! Chissenefrega della moda!

LEGGERE, MA SEMPRE PER PRIMA: Se compro una rivista, un libro o qualsiasi cosa che possa essere sfogliata, devo assolutamente essere la prima a 1. scartarla (e questo lo sapevate già), 2. leggerla e sfogliarla. Anche in questo caso do di matto se il mio acquisto viene "profanato" da mani altrui prima che la leggittima proprietaria, ovvero io, non abbia finito di visionarlo. E per finito intendo anche la retro copertina con pubblicità di BVLGARI annessa. Non so perchè c'è sempre BVLGARI alla fine di ogni giornale.

ODORARE QUALSIASI COSA: E questo punto è probabilmente una spiegazione a quello precedentemente descritto di sopra. Amo odorare le cose. Non solo cibi o bevande, ma TUTTO. Lo adoro. Se catturano la mia attenzione, e mi attraggono visivamente, arriva anche l'odoramento. In fondo una cosa puo essere bella quanto volete ma se puzza chi la vuole? Io NO di certo!

LA REVISIONE POST SHOPPING DEI MIEI ACQUISTI: Questo è un momento anche più sacro dello scartamento. Lo definirei quasi paradisiaco, e sopra ogni cosa, di soddisfacimento assoluto. Arrivata a casa, posate le buste dei miei acquisti che hanno messo a dura prova le mie povere mani, e finalmente cambiata in un comodo pigiama inizia la goduria. Quella vera.
Posizione yoga sul letto, (rigorosamente rifatto poichè deve fungere da "tavola" dove disporre in modo ordinato e armonioso i "danni" della giornata) e si inizia dalla prima busta. Il contenuto deve essere disposto ad effetto Show Room, ovvero in modo ordinato e preciso, cosi da massimizzare i benefici del momento tanto atteso. Continuate fino a che l'ultima sacca non è stata vuotata, completato questo step prendetevi tutto il tempo necessario per ammirare i frutti del vostro duro lavoro. Voglio dire, fare shopping, e farlo bene, è davvero faticoso, per il corpo e per la mente, altroche!

COTTON FIOC: Ultima ma non d'importanza, i benefici dell'uso dei cotton fioc.
Da cio che mi dicono quando li uso la mia faccia si trasforma in una smorfia a metà strada tra la goduria e la demenza. La bocca si apre, un occhio si strizza, mentre il respiro si ferma, quasi per non infastidire l'atmosfera di questo momento tra me e la mia igiene personale. Mia madre mi disse una voltà che questo è tutto ciò che capita anche a mio padre quando li usa. E poi dicono le figlie sono tutte la mamma!

ecco, ora sapete veramente un po' piu di me. Adesso avete diverse opzioni: la prima, potete decidere di chiudere il blog istantaneamente per non farci più ritorno, etichettandomi come la pazza dei cotton fioc.
la seconda potete continuare comunque a leggere il mio blog, cercando nel vostro tempo libero uno specialista di quelli bravi da consigliarmi che mi renda un po' meno scema. La terza invece, potete farvi una risata, pensando che se in fondo sono riuscita a strapparvi un sorriso non deve essere stato poi tanto male. Ogni tanto fa bene sviare da tacchi, vestiti e accessori per parlare un po' di "vita vera". In fondo dietro quei vestiti e dentro quei tacchi da 15 cm ci siamo noi. Persone normalissime all'apparenza ma anormalissime se conosciute.
La 3rza opzione è decisamente quella che vorrei sceglieste, ma l'ultima parola sta comunque a voi. Ovviamente senza smettere di leggere il mio blog sia chiaro! ;)

Ok, I'm a "Cabaholic" !

Describe yourselves in three words: clumsy, clumsy and still clumsy. This weekend I finally understood that the little hope I thought was left for me is nothing but a mirage. Last episode? This weekend I bought a salt and pepper conteiner with an icecream shape. The cutest little thing you can find to put inside your kitchen. I didn't even have time to place it on its proper shelf that it slipped off my hands crushing on the floor in a million pieces... I had a feeling of profound hate against my persona rising inside of me!
But let's switch subject and get over with it.
Today's look is finally without tights: shorts that look like a skirt, yellow shoes and blouse perfectly matching with one another and white bag. Somehow I got addicted with this blue, yellow and white combo, I just can't stop wearing it :)

Un condensato di me in 3 parole: maledestra, maldestra e ancora maldestra. Questo weekend ho finalmente capito che quel poco di luce che pensavo di intravedere alla fine del tunnel era soltanto un miraggio, e che forse per me non c'e' davvero speranza. Ultimo episodio? Questo weekend ho comprato un porta sale/pepe fantastico, vi dico solo che quello per il pepe e' a forma di cono e quello per il sale a forma di gelato. Va da se che messi l'uno sopra l'atro sono assolutamente adorabili.

Neanche il tempo di arrivare a casa scartare il mio nuovo acquisto e dire al mio ragazzo "che dobbiamo stare attenti a non farlo cadere 'che mi scivola il tutto dalle mani finendo a terra in mille pezzi...odio odio e ancora odio profondo per me e per la mia sbadataggine!
Ma veniamo al look di oggi cosi non ci penso piu' :)
Finalmente sembra che l'estate sia arrivata qui a New York e ho potuto togliere le calze per un look a gambe nude: shorts ma che sembrano una gonna, scarpe gialle e maglia che riprende perfettamente il colore delle nuovissime pumps gialle, colore tra l'altro che volevo da tempo aggiungere nella mia "shoe collection". Blu, bianco e giallo, sembra che in questo periodo mi sia fissata con questo abbinamento, ma mi piace davvero tanto come stanno insieme questi tre colori :)

The Real Skinny Jeans

Last night I was invited from Big Star Jeans to an event a little bit different from the usual. Beside the presentation of the new collection, we could create a denim collar to be customized the way you wanted it! So, I took scissors, jeans, glue and studs and I made a real collar signed by Camilla! I guess you can call it my first fashion designing experience.
After all the result wasn't so bad considering that the maximum I can do is sewing buttons!
Anyways, the new collection is fresh and trendy and I already fell in love with some of the pieces! The Big Star crew is one of the most fun I have ever come accross. They truly were the heart of the party: dancing their hearts out to the beat and totally having lots of fun.
For the look I , of course, went for a pair of Big Star skinny jeans, my BF's shirt and a vintage red blazer on top to add some color.

Martedi scorso sono stata invitata da Big Star Jeans per un evento del tutto particolare... Oltre alla presentazione della loro nuova collezione, tutti gli invitati potevano creare collari proprio con i jeans in questione! Cosi, armata di forbici, colla, jeans e borchie ho creato un collare interamente by Camilla e devo dire che il risultato e' stato piu' che soddisfacente! Considerando che il massimo che so fare e' attaccare un bottone :)

Spero magari di farvelo vedere al piu' presto in un dei miei look e mi dite che ne pensate :)
La collezione l'ho trovata fresca e giovanile e gia' mi sono innamorata di alcuni pezzi! Per il look ho, ovviamente, optato per uno skinny Big Star Jeans comodo ma glamour allo stesso tempo, camicia rubata dall'armadio del mio ragazzo e un blazer vintage rosso per aggiungere un po' di colore.

Nothing too complicated today. In fact this time, I decided to go for a combination between this evergreen sailor dress I bought a million years ago at Zara but that is totally fashionable even now, along with a yellow scarf and a white blazer to complete this sailorish look.
I would have love to go for a pair of heels but since I haven't found any that would fit with the rest of the look I just decided to go for this pair of macassins that still keep the vibe of the whole outfit up!

Nulla di stravagante o di eccessivamente rivoluzionario. Quest'oggi infatti ho optato per quest'abbinamento con vestitino in stile marinetta comprato secoli fa da Zara ma intramontabile, foulard al collo e blazer bianco per completare questo look dal feel un po' marittimo.
Avrei voluto abbinare un paio di tacchi, ma non trovandone un paio che facevano al caso mio nel mio armadio, ho deciso di indossare questo paio di mocassini. In fondo si intonano alla perfezione con tutto il resto! Spero il look vi piaccia ugualmente ;)

Se da un giorno all'altro non vedrete piu' New York saprete che sono fuggita!
Un top nero per un look basico e essenziale e una maglione traforato al quale in foto non viene resa giustizia ma che vi mostrero' presto in uno dei miei perche' lo adoro.

Breakfast At H&M

The most famous one is "Breakfast At Tiffany's", but the breakfast I'll talk to you about today is equally special and it's the one I had at H&M, where I had the pleasure to take a look at the new bikini collection and at some of the pieces of the "Conscious" collection, in total respect of the enviroment and the "Water for H&M" one, where part of the earnings goes to those countries where water is most needed.
As soon as I stepped in I was overwhelmed by waves of color everywhere which immediately made me want to go to the beach! Neon bikinis, floral dresses of many different prints and metallic accessories that I definetely look forward to add to my closet!
The outift I went for was formed of this fluo pink skirt matched with my everlasting denim shirt, in perfect line with the colorful philosophy H&M is launching for this summer.
Now I really can't wait to see the brand new accessories line in collaboration with Anna dello Russo, coming out this upcoming fall. I literallly can't wait, and you?

La piu' celebre e' la "Colazione da Tiffany" ma la colazione di cui vi parlo oggi e' altrettanto speciale, ovvero quella fatta da H&M, dove ho avuto il piacere di essere stata invitata per il lancio della nuova collezione bikini e di alcuni capi delle linee "Conscious", in totale rispetto per l'ambiente, e "Water for H&M", dove parte del ricavato va ai paesi piu' bisognosi di acqua.

Appena entrata sono stata invasa da un ondata di colore che mi ha subito fatto venire voglia di correre al mare! Bikini neon, abitini dalle fantasie floreali e accessori metallici dei quali dovro' assolutamente entrarne in possesso!
Per il mio look ho scelto una gonna fluo abbinata alla mia eterna camicia jeans e sono entrata nella filosofia, a base di colore, di H&M!
Ora non mi resta che aspettare di vedere la nuova linea di accessori in collaborazione con Anna dello Russo in uscita questo autunno! Sono curiosissima e voi?

Today I was in the Flatiron area one of the most characteristic neighborhood in Manhattan.
You probably already know the building as the "Daily Bugle" head office, the newspaper where Peter Parker used to bring his self-shot photo of Spiderman or because of its iron shape. I don't know if it's the jewellery shops, the home interior decorations stores full of unnecessary things (which somehow we believe are vital and we end up buying) that make the aerea so cute. Now that I think about maybe that's way my studio apartment is packed of totally unnecessary things.
For today's look I chose this mustard shirt by Silvian Heach and matched it with this dotted skirt from my mother's old closet. I completed everything with brown accessories, the most uncomfortable heels that I have, belt, sunnies and a bag.
Tomorrow morning I'm going to have breakfast at the H&M showroom in the West Village and I literally can't wait to tell you everything about it! As usual I will start freaking out in front of my closet and staring at it intensively hoping that it will talk to me sooner or later. Wish me good luck!

Oggi mi trovavo nella zona del Flatiron building, una tra le zone piu' caratteristiche di Manhattan. Forse lo conoscete meglio come la sede del "Daily Bugle" il palazzo dalla forma di un ferro da stiro dove Peter Parker portava le foto esclusive di Spiderman. Ma a parte la particolarità della building la zona è carinissima, merito dei vari negozietti di bigiotteria, arredamento per la casa e quei negozi pieni di cose inutili ma che, una volta entrati, è impossibile non comprare nulla, convinti che, prima o poi, ne avremo sicuramente bisogno.
Capita anche a voi? A pensarci bene, ecco perchè nel mio monolocale non entra più nulla e si riempie giorno dopo giorno di cose che "potrebbero servire".
Per il look di oggi ho scelto questa maglia ocra di Silvian Heach e l'ho abbinata a una gonna a pois, che apparteneva a mia mamma. Ho rifinito il tutto con accessori marroni: tacchi (tra i piuà odiosi che ho), borsa, cinta e occhiali.
Domani mattina mi attende la colazione presso lo showroom di H&M e non vedo l'ora di raccontarvi tutto nei mimini particolari! Ovviamente ora comincia la crisi outfit... e come ogni mattina passerò i miei buoni 20 minuti imbambolata davanti l'armadio sperando che fissandalo con sguardo languido comunichi in chissa quale modo con me dandomi la giusta ispirazione.... Auguratemi buona fortuna ;))

Inside a Bookstore

I was thinking: how cool would it be to have your first date in a bookstore? There is something about these places that always mesmerized me.I dunno if it's the apparent calmness which floats among the aisles and shelves, if it's the people sitting on the floor completely captured by who knows what readings, or the smell of new pages I'm completely addicted to.Put it like that I understand I may sound a bit nuts but to me it is definitely one of the most glam and cool places to spend some time.

Pit stop: historical romances. I go completely crazy over conspiracies, intrigues, betrayals and secret loves of ancient times. And by the way, I am definitely one of those people who judge a book from its cover. I know it's totally wrong but who cares. If the cover is in fact of one of those terrible colors like mustard, burgundy or anything like that we are already starting with the wrong foot. Just gimme a flash of pink, an image of a pair of stillettos along with a glittery writing as the book title and I am completely yours.

Next mandatory stop, the magazine section. Now, in Italy you can't even open one and get to the third page that someone comes to you and intimidate you to buy the thing if you plan on reading it. Here, however, it's a whole different story.

You can take wherever you like the most to satisfy your superficial insticts and hunger for pure gossip with no second thoughts. A pregnant Jessica Simpson totally unrecognizable, an not pregnant Aguilera but still unrecognizable, Jennifer Aniston who hasn't got over Brad Pitt yet (after all they only split up in 2004), Leonardo Di Caprio's new girlfriend, Blake Lively's new boyfriend, Kim Kardashian, Chloe Kardashian, Mum Kardashian, Beyonce's fake pregnancy, Beyonce's surrogate mother, Beyonce the most beautiful woman on the planet, the Jersey Shore guys and the list goes on and on and on... Once your pile's complete, all you gotta do is starting from the first one and begin updating yourself on the latest celebs' whereabouts. Sited in that adorable caffeteria inside the bookstore, background music, sipping satisfied a hot cappuccino, so hot that if you don't remember to sip it slowly it's gonna set your tongue on fire and kill your sensitiveness for the next five days so that everything tastes like wet paper. That must have been Simpson's fault! I won't say that again Jessica, I promise ;)

Riflettevo: quanto sarebbe figo da uno a dieci darsi il primo appuntamento in libreria? C'è qualcosa riguardo a questi posti che mi ha sempre affascinato.
Non so se è la calma apparente che regna tra gli scaffali, o le persone sedute sul pavimento immerse nelle letture più varie... e poi quell'odore di pagine nuove e mai sfogliate che mi lascia completamente assuefatta!
Capisco che effettivamente detta così sembro solo una pazza scatenata da internare senza batter ciglio, ma cavolo, è un posto decisamente glam ed assolutamente perfetto per passare un po' di tempo.

Tappa fissa la sezione romanzi storici: sono letteralmente pazza per intrighi, tradimenti, cospirazioni ed amori segreti dei tempi passati. Tra l'altro sono anche una di quelle che giudica un libro proprio dalla copertina. E' completamente sbagliato ma chissenefrega, in fondo l'occhio vuole la sua parte, e se la copertina è per caso di quei colori tremendi tipo giallo ocra, bordeaux o roba simile, già iniziamo male, anzi, decisamente male!
Datemi il titolo in rilievo, colori luccicanti e un immagine che catturi e non potrò resistere ;)
Stop successivo ed obbligatorio, il reparto riviste. Ora, in Italia non puoi neanche arrivare all'indice che avrai la prima commessa a caso col fiato sul collo che ti intima a richiudere ciò che stavi leggendo a meno che non hai intenzioni di acquistarlo. Qui invece è tutta un'altra storia. Decisamente un'altra storia.
Qui prendi tutto ciò che più attira il tuo lato frivolo e bramoso di puro gossip e lo soddisfi senza pensarci due volte. Jessica Simpson gravida irriconoscibile, la Aguilera non gravida ma irriconoscibile lo stesso, la Aniston che ancora si strugge per Brad Pitt (in fondo si sono lasciati solo nel 2004), la nuova ragazza di Leonardo diCaprio, il nuovo ragazzo di Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian, Chloe Kardashian, ….. Kardashian, Mamma Kardashian, Beyoncè gravida per finta, beyoncè e la mamma surrogata, beyoncè la più figa del pianeta, I coatti di Jersey shore e chi più ne ha più ne metta. Fatta la tua bella piletta, inizi dal primo e ti aggiorni sulle ultime vicessitudini dello Star System. Seduta in quell'adorabile cafè (ovviamente della libreria), musica di sottofondo, sorseggiando soddisfatta un cappuccino così caldo che se non ti ricordi ogni singola volta che bevi di andarci piano, ti ustiona la lingua facendo sembrare cartone bagnato qualsiasi cosa che mangi per I prossimi 5 giorni. Colpa della Simpson! Scusa Jessica non lo dico più , promesso ;)

Denimology

Some days ago I received this adorable Goldie jumpsuit from Gentlemen's Affair and before that I never imagined I would actually wear one. After a quick try on, I realized it is definitely something that goes pretty along with my style, and we mutually fell in love for one another ;)
Plain look certainly cool, but somehow I decided it would look even better with a puffy-sleeved shirt underneath and so I pulled out this cute dotted blouse and chose it as "the one" I needed to complete my outfit.
These pretty glittered wedges are once again from Not Rated. The lovely californian brand asked to me to become the official full-time blogger/stylist for their shoe models! Needless to say I was flattered and took on the "challenge" without a second thought!

I hope you will like this unordinary look and definitely let me know what you think! Don't tell me I look like Super Mario though! That is way past what my self esteem can take! ;)

Qualche giorno fa ho ricevuto questa Goldie jumpsuit da Gentlemen's Affair e fino ad allora non avrei mai creduto di indossarne una. Dopo averla provata al volo, ci siamo subito perdute l'una dell'altra. Le ho stretto la mano, l'ho abbracciata a me, e le ho donato un "posto" in prima tra i vestiti appesi del mio armadio ;)

E' un capo che può essere benissimo portato in modo plain e starebbe sicuramente beno lo stesso. Nella mia testa però mi figuravo il look assieme ad una camicia dalle maniche lunghe ed a palloncino. Ecco quindi che ho chiamato in mio soccorso questa camicia a pois con fioccone annesso.
Le scarpe che vedete sono ancora una volta di Not Rated. Il marchio californiamo mi ha chiesto infatti di diventare la loro full time stylist/blogger ufficiale, e ovviamente ho accettato su due piedi la sfida! Aspetto di sapere cosa ne pensate di questo look un pò diverso dal solito! Vi concedo tutto, apparte che mi diciate che assomiglio a Super Mario! La mia autostima può incassare solo un tot di colpi eh! ;)

Has it ever occured to you to try to make your significant half understand what it is that you want to receive for a special occasion - like your b-day, Xmas or some other festivities like that - by any means in order to "address" him to "the rightest choice" and by doing so avoiding yourself a terrible delusion and freeing him from the inevitable burden of having let down his shopping maniac of a girlfriend in such a miserable way?
Well, this is exactly what I did this past Valentine's day. I had been laying my two eyes on the sexiest Victoria's Secret set for weeks already, and since Valentine's Day was just around the corner I decided to use any legal and illegal method to push my boyfriend in the "right direction".

I brought him in the store practically every single time we would go out for a walk and made to him very clear that I already picked my gift for V day. A bit brutal I know, but hey, never get between a shopaholic and its prey!
Reassured that my persuasive methods had been successful I unwrapped my present totally convinced I would find what I had been dreaming about for so long...and guess what I found instead? This adorable American Apparel skirt. All these words just to tell you that sometimes giving blank paper to a person who wants to buy a gift can turn out to be much better than what you had in mind. Sometimes though! He commented the whole thing saying: "Sorry Cami but when I looked at it it made me think about you and I decided I'd change my plans" and at a close look, it really has the name Camilla written on itself. I jealously kept her inside my closet too, waiting for better temperatures to arrive. Finally I got to wear it to create this romantic look in grey and cream with just a few red details given by my brand new Mimosa pumps by Not Rated dotted pumps. I loved the result. Hope you'll do the same!

Vi e' mai capitato di cercare di far capire disperatamente alla vostra dolce meta' cosa vorreste ricevere come regalo (ad esempio per il vostro compleanno), cercando di usare qualsiasi mezzo affinche' lui compri la cosa giusta cosi da evitare a voi una faccia delusa ed a lui lo straziante fardello per non aver soddisfatto la propria ragazza maniaca della shopping?
Beh, lo scorso San Valentino ho fatto esattamente questo. Erano settimane che avevo messo gli occhi su un fantastico completino intimo di Victoria's Secret, e visto che la festa degli innamorati si avvicinava ho ricorso a qualsiasi mezzo (legale e non) per "indirizzarlo" verso il "giusto" acquisto.

L'ho portato in negozio praticamente tutte le volte che uscivamo, indicandogli il "prescelto" piu' e piu' volte, facendogli intendere senza mezzi termini che avevo gia' scelto il mio regalo di San Valentino e che era proprio li di fronte a lui. Un po' brutale forse, lo ammetto. Ma mai mettersi tra una shopaholic e la sua preda!

Certa che le mie tecniche di persuasione/minnacce avessero funzionato, ho aperto finalmente il pacchetto tanta bramato convinta di sapere gia' cosa si celava al sui interno....ed invece indovinate cosa ho ricevuto? Queste fantastica gonna di American Apparel tutta tulle e fronzoli!
Tutto cio' per dirvi che molto spesso lasciare libero arbitrio alla persona che vuole regalarvi qualcosa e' decisamente meglio di quello che in realta' avevate in mente. A volte! Lui ha commentato il tutto dicendo: "Scusami Cami ma quando l'ho vista ho pensato a te e quindi ho cambiato idea" e a guardarla bene questa gonna porta proprio il mio nome. Ho gelosamente custodito nel mio armadio anche lei, aspettando temperature migliori per sfoggiarla, ed il risultato e' stato un questo look romantico in grigio e beige con un tocco di rosso dato dalle mie nuovissime Mimosa pumps di Not Rated, gentile regalo del brand. Io ho amato il risultato, e voi che ne pensate?

Fashion Star For H&M Event

Tuesday night I came back home earlier for a special appointment on 5th Ave. I took off my blue jeans and got into this beautiful strawberry dress which I was jealously keeping inside my wardrobe just to pull it out when the right come would have come. Killer heels and white accesories and I was ready for the event organized to present the launch of the new H&M collection called Fashion Star. The amosphere was electrifying: cocktails, glam dresses everywhere and super cool dressed people all around. Among the many special guests there was also Nicole Richie, little and fashionable and very nice-looking. While in my ride on the cab headed back home I got mesmerized by the million lights of the city at night...after all it's always New York that makes everything feel so magical.

Martedi sera sono tornata a casa qualche ora prima per un appuntamento speciale sulla 5th Ave. Tolti i miei blue jeans, fedeli compagnia della comodita' quotidiana, mi sono infilata in questo bellissimo abito fragola che custodivo gelosamente nel mio armadio pronto per essere tirato fuori al momento giusto.
Tacchi a spillo altissimi (ho rischiato la vita piu' e piu' volte), uno chignon per non caprire la scollatura sulla schiena e eccomi pronta per l'evento organizzato per il lancio della collezione Fashion Star di H&M . Latmosfera era elettrizzante, stuzzichini, abiti scintillanti e persone super cool! Tra gli ospiti speciali cera anche Nicole Richie, piccolina ma molto graziosa e sorridente. Mentre ero in taxi mi sono persa per un secondo guardando fuori dal finetrino le mille luci della città

...in fondo e' sempre New York a rendere tutto cosi magico.
