Well I didn’t until a friend posted a picture of it’s delicious burger with potato wedges and melted cheese! It looked something like the amount New York New York but the quality of food would be (I think) something like Bella Italia‘s- fresh, handmade with no/least chemicals. =D Intriguing?

Kaum Sungai, a native Sabahan race living in Kampung Sukau, Kinabatangan, has been treated like dogs by politics. Why I said politics instead of the name/group of people? Read on.

Kaum Sungai People ‘Treated like Dogs’ Story

Zulmat bin Dullamit, one of the residences at Kampung Sukau said that they had been treated like dogs and was forced to leave their homes in 2008. They also had been threatened by all means, houses been torn down, gangsters were sent and even a bulldozer! Omg.

All these were done by a company called Campo Sdn Bhd. The company only gave them RM5,000 as compensation for taking their land and of course, the people didn’t agree to it. Kampung Sukau is their only place in the world where they can earn a living – have a life where it has always been.

All these while Zulmat said that they thought that the government could help them, more importantly, their Wakil Rakyat, Saddi Abdul Rahman but he was reported to be a ‘teruk‘ one and irresponsible.

Unbelievable.

Katif bin Kussoi, one of the residents, said that the people won’t budge. They won’t give up their rights and I believe that’s what they should do. Must do.

So last Monday I told you I’ve lost my Maybankard along with the story and I was going to replace it that day itself. So here was how I replaced my lost Maybankard. Or should I say left-behind Maybankard? xD

How to Replace Maybankard Story

Okay I was from Pavilion Bukit Bintang to any nearest Maybank and I know I should’ve gone to the Maybank at Wisma Genting but I just forgot!! Silly me. I have no idea why that happened, just no idea really. So I went to this huge building of Maybank Tower (Menara Maybank) near the Kota Raya Complex for I got lost actually and saw these Maybank signboards on the streets and saw this huge building with the Maybank signboard on it. Turns out it’s actually the headquarter of Maybank with it’s branch below it.

I was pretty late already- 4.30pm reached inside it. And I’m not gonna leave this unsaid- the place is like a five-star version of a Maybank bank! Seriously! Like hotels, it has this rounded, wooden panelled reception desk with nice curtain drapes…flowers everywhere..and it was huge!! Wide space and loads of staff to help you- like Pavilion’s parking area you know? xD

So I went to this huge hall where it’s titled ‘card’ and was told to go to this desk number 19 by the receptionist. Stupid receptionist I must say for when I got to that desk, I was approached by another staff from my right and asked what I wanted. I told her and she asked me to go to another counter behind me. The name was Rosleni and it seemed that I was suppose to get a number. >.<

But due to my over-cuteness and never-wilting smile, he smiled and said, "takpelah for you ni hari special." xD Yess!! For a start, he asked for my Identification Card and scanned my right thumb. Then he gave me this form where I filled in when I first wanted to make an account with Maybank. =) I ticked 'replacement' of course. =) Gave him RM12 for the replacement fee and tadaa!! I got my new Maybankard already! The whole process was fast, roughly 10 minutes only. If only he wasn't distracted by his colleague next to him for help, it would've been faster!

Oh then after that I was required to go to the ATM and change the PIN number for my Maybankard for this new card was given with a reset password and of course, you have to change it to the one that only you will know.

How to Replace Maybankard Transaction-Authorisation Code (TAC)

I then asked Rosleni about the Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) for I suddenly remembered that previously I tried to purchase an item online and it couldn’t be done using my Maybankard for the TAC code could not be….I forgot. I told him I never or don’t know what TAC is nor applied for it whatsoever. He then asked for my phone number and waited for just 2-3 minutes more and there I go. =) He said I’ll be getting an sms saying that the TAC is activated already and I can buy things online or pay bills online already. =) I just love me.

On Wednesday in Seremban, a Malaysian police has been found guilty for shooting warning shot towards a teenager two years ago (2010) that resulted in injury. He was sentenced to a 6-months prison after Magistrate Nor Azlina Hashim decided that there was no solid, established proof for the accused Constable Mohd Hakimi Shamsul to shoot Mohd Azizi Azri Aziz.

Hakimi was accused accordance with Section 37 of the Arms Act 1960 that provides jail not more than 2 years or a fine no more than RM5,000 or both.

It all started in front of a shopping mall at Jalan Datuk Siamang Gagap, Seremban where a patrol car with 2 policemen in it including Mohd Hakimi was chasing a group of motorcyclists including Mohd Azizi Azri.

The motorcyclist group then split and the motorcycle that Mohd Azizi Azri was on was chased by the patrol car up to the location of the incident.

The police then fired several warning shots, but a shot from Mohd Hakimi’s gun hit Mohd Azizi Azri’s stomach who was then detained.

He also said that as a policeman, the accused should’ve used his knowledge and experience to stop the victim in other means and not by firing. What’s more the accused wasn’t threatened by the victim.

This email is from an MSN email razmi760@msn.com but I don’t know that email nor it’s in my contacts. So that’s reason number 1 this is a scam. 2, she’s offering a business opportunity via email. Which is, in my opinion, isn’t a very nice/proper way to ask a stranger to do business with you. Third, she said she’s from London and the way she talks is like a pure Malay that’s been residing in Malaysia all her freaking miserable life. Other reasons are not needed to be put down here for I believe the above reasons are enough to say that she’s a scam.

Yesterday at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport I wanted to cash out some money from my Maybank account at the ATM and I didn’t find my Maybankard nestled nicely in my purse, like normal, like it usually does. So I panicked. I stepped away from the line, got myself a seat nearby and searched my huge Segue bag for it, turned everything out, upside down and found nothing. Oh dear.

So there was I-hungry, sad over the imagination of KFC fading away in speed, helplessly turning things in my bag, hoping to find something that I knew wasn’t there already. Honey came and I asked some money from him. He just did a full aircond service on a Myvi at Putatan and I know he sure had a lot of money that time. xD So I asked for him to lend me some RM200. Borrow of course. =)

He gave me RM300 instead! xD So off me saying my goodbyes to Mommy, sad over the thought of my inability to give her some money before I leave Kota Kinabalu and headed straight to KFC on the first floor.

I saw Abner, my long lost tuition friend who was on the phone when I cued at the ATM. He was on the phone so didn’t get to chat with him.

Had KFC until 6.10pm (my flight was 6.30pm) and saw ‘Final Call’ over my flight’s line on the message board over my head. xD Quickly finished my rice and that crispy spicy chicken, headed back down to the security checkpoint. Hugged hun goodbye and reassured him that I’ll be fine with the RM300 he gave me (paycheck is coming by the way and I’ll soon get my Maybankard replaced on Monday, today).

So off I went, to Gate 4, boarded the airplane and got to my 29C seat.

Arrived at LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) at 9.04pm. Got my luggage and it was already 9.30pm-ish. Got a cab and paid about RM84 for it to go to Klang.

Abner text me around 10.30pm saying he just got at the airport. His flight was 7.30pm. I think his flight was fast man. Normally it’s 2 hours 30 minutes, more or less. Awesome pilot la his one that. xD

Got back home around 9.50pm, washed my clothes, couldn’t find my DiGi broadband so asked honey to help me check my Maybank account’s transactions. He told me the balance of my account and was relieved. =) I think I just misplaced it somewhere at home or maybe a stranger actually got hold of my card but hasn’t used it. Whichever it was, I can no longer use the card and looking for it would be a waste of my time. =)

So now, soon, I’ll be going to nearest Maybank branch which is the one at Wisma Genting, Kuala Lumpur and replace my card. The operator who terminated my lost Maybankard told me that the fee for replacement would be RM12. Lucky not RM50 or what. xD

The first of its kind in South East Asia. This building is situated along the main highway to Mount Kinabalu, Kiulu river rafting and all the districts on the east coast of Sabah (ie; Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Tawau)

This brand new attraction is located in Kampung Telibong, Batu 21, Jalan Telibong, Tamparuli, district of Tuaran.

Come November 2011, you will be able to view a traditional Sabah kampung house, fully equipped with kitchen, living room, bedrooms, toilet and veranda in a new perspective – upside down!
Build on a slight incline to challenge both the builders and viewer’s perspective. It will be a fun experience for everyone!

The upside-down kampung house is designed for all ages and nationalities and its wheelchair friendly. Allow 30-45 minutes for your visit.

As part of the Tuaran Craft Village, you’ll also be able to browse in our well stocked gift shop, taste international pastry in our Rumah Terbalik café and even stop at our garden toilet for nature call!

A visit to our “Upside-down kampung house’’ will be one of your most memorable experiences and it is a must-see attraction on your Sabah itinerary.

Tikar Picnic / Tikar Revolution 2012 in Kota Kinabalu

First of all to the Borneo Youth Revolution group, I couldn’t find your website/anything related, so you’re a group to me. If I’m wrong, as in you’re an association or NGO or something, comment down below and let me know please.

So – with Tikar Picnic / Tikar Revolution 2012 organized by a group called the Borneo Youth Revolution, you get to have a picnic right in the middle of Kota Kinabalu city with your friends, eat your hearts out, enjoy the good music and story telling, poetry and just chill at Lintasan Deasoka, Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu. Among the musicians lined up are Sabah’s own Ukulele group- Orkes Akiuku!

The story telling will be told by old timers who have been residing in Gaya Street since Day 1. Stories that will be covered are the Atkinson Clock Tower, the Cobbold Commision..and many more interesting stories. For the music part, there’ll be a music forum/ lepak session and a jam session by the old and new of KK music industry.

I’m sooo excited about this event!! I’ve never been so excited on events before but this! Cuz it’s our history here that we have a chance to listen to from the first few people! Imagine that. From their own mouths. But too bad damn it I couldn’t come on that day. This Sunday I’ll be off back to Kuala Lumpur already and won’t be back for a few months time. =( Aih. Sad.
