Upside Down House at Kota Kinabalu Details

The first of its kind in South East Asia. This building is situated along the main highway to Mount Kinabalu, Kiulu river rafting and all the districts on the east coast of Sabah (ie; Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Tawau)

This brand new attraction is located in Kampung Telibong, Batu 21, Jalan Telibong, Tamparuli, district of Tuaran.

Come November 2011, you will be able to view a traditional Sabah kampung house, fully equipped with kitchen, living room, bedrooms, toilet and veranda in a new perspective – upside down!
Build on a slight incline to challenge both the builders and viewer’s perspective. It will be a fun experience for everyone!

The upside-down kampung house is designed for all ages and nationalities and its wheelchair friendly. Allow 30-45 minutes for your visit.

As part of the Tuaran Craft Village, you’ll also be able to browse in our well stocked gift shop, taste international pastry in our Rumah Terbalik café and even stop at our garden toilet for nature call!

A visit to our “Upside-down kampung house’’ will be one of your most memorable experiences and it is a must-see attraction on your Sabah itinerary.

First of all to the Borneo Youth Revolution group, I couldn’t find your website/anything related, so you’re a group to me. If I’m wrong, as in you’re an association or NGO or something, comment down below and let me know please.

So – with Tikar Picnic / Tikar Revolution 2012 organized by a group called the Borneo Youth Revolution, you get to have a picnic right in the middle of Kota Kinabalu city with your friends, eat your hearts out, enjoy the good music and story telling, poetry and just chill at Lintasan Deasoka, Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu. Among the musicians lined up are Sabah’s own Ukulele group- Orkes Akiuku!

The story telling will be told by old timers who have been residing in Gaya Street since Day 1. Stories that will be covered are the Atkinson Clock Tower, the Cobbold Commision..and many more interesting stories. For the music part, there’ll be a music forum/ lepak session and a jam session by the old and new of KK music industry.

From their own mouths. But too bad damn it I couldn’t come on that day. This Sunday I’ll be off back to Kuala Lumpur already and won’t be back for a few months time. =( Aih. Sad.

Jennifer Aniston has bought a new home worth $21 million at Bel-Air, California. It was first priced at $29 million in 2008 when it first hit the market. Then it was reduced to some $24 million, at which point Aniston swooped in and scored it for even less: $21 million! xD Awesome!

The Home Ministry received a total of 3 vehicles to be used by the police. The vehicles were two 4WD Chevrolet Captiva 2.0 SUV and the 1.8 Chevrolet Cruze.

Michael Jackson’s doctor, Dr Conrad Murray has been sentenced to jail after found guilty of involuntary manslaughter by supplying a powerful operating-room anesthetic to an insomnia-plagued Michael Jackson to help him sleep.

Latoya Jackson, Michael Jackson’s sister, said that “justice was served”. The whole family was said to be overjoyed. Same response from the public as well, all seemed happy to hear that the doctor had been found guilty and going to jail.

Dr Conrad Murray will be jailed without bail and shall start his sentence at the end of November 2011.

Sad news. Adrian Jay Pereira, a former student at the Brawijaya University, Malang, has arrived home in a casket from Surabaya, Indonesia around 2.40pm.

I saw this on the Youtube after checking my emails.

23 year-old Adrian was believed to have been slashed to death outside of his living quarters in Indonesia when he tried to prevent 2 thieves who was trying to steal his motorcycle. The cause of death was a fatal wound on the neck to due a sharp object.

His body was taken by his parents I believe and representatives from the Indonesian embassy and the Ministry of Higher Education was present to give their condolences to the family of 4 which was once 5.

Indonesian police is now tracking the two suspects and hopefully they’ll catch them both.

I’m finally back home! =D Got back home last Saturday night, eh no. Actually, it was Sunday morning! My flight was at 9.25pm on the 21st January 2012, Saturday. So I landed in KK about 11.45pm and when I finally got my luggage, it was already few minutes past 12am. =p

Finally Back Home in Kota Kinabalu for Chinese New Year 2012! Journey

After work at 5pm, I headed back home in Klang and dropped off Mei-Mei at Centro Mall. Got back home and the taxi driver who was suppose to get me from my house there called, saying that he’ll come pick me up somewhere around 6.30pm to 7pm. Earlier he asked me to go early like, 4.30pm but I told him I only finish work at 5pm. Luckily he called that time and said that the road was reported to be clear and so we could leave just nice with ample time. =)

He got to my place around 6.40pm and off we went to the LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) airport. Yeah I flew Air Asia. Got there around 8pm- me and the taxi driver got a really nice conversation and so he drove just 80km/hour. xD

I finally got there and paid the driver about RM100 only. =) I think he told me RM120 earlier, I think it was RM120. He actually asked me how much did he tell me earlier on for the taxi fee to LCCT, I told him I forgot. xD So there, price discount given. xD

I got myself McDonald’s Spicy Chicken McDeluxe set menu. It was about RM13/RM14..I forgot. It was worth it. medium sized burger with medium fries and medium coke. I didn’t take the coke of course. =p Maybe just few sips. Really, sips only.

When I was done, it was about 8.35pm only. I hanged out at the lobby area buying few things from Famous Amos and chocolates from the tax-free like shop.

I got to the plane at 9pm roughly. Air Asia was being punctual that time. =) Luckily, got myself at either end of the row seat. =) I was at 30A.

Finally Back Home in Kota Kinabalu for Chinese New Year 2012! Touchdown

Landing was very smooth, almost perfect. =) The bump almost wasn’t felt if I wasn’t fully awake at that time.

Honey greeted me at the entrance, showing his new short hair, like the first time I first dated him. =) Mom and dad came too. We went to have some drinks first then only went back home. Snowy looked happy to see me. Though he doesn’t respond to my voice, at least he comes when I call him up. =)

FRONT: Both of the 20 cent and 50 cent coins have a hibiscus flower in 5 petals, the ’2012′ at the top right, their respective numbers, 20 and 50 printed big, ‘SEN’ at the bottom (Malay word for cent) and BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA lining the left side of the coins.

BACK: The unique thing would be the back of these coins, each in it’s own designs at the back. The 20 cent coin has a type of flower of 5 petals too, same with the hibiscus at the front, 14 dots at the left side of the coin and 5 parallel lines at the background.

The 50 cent coin has 14 dots too at the same spot as the 10 cent coin and it has a design of a circle with batik-like print at the right side of it. It’s pretty, I like it. =)
