First, let me apologies for not posting this look on yesterday as I thought I had done(way too much going on I guess)

With yesterday's temps, I was in a definite casual mood and mixing up the grays in preparation for cooler temps(that showed up this morning) hit the spot! On a different note, I decide to go back to my trademark hair color...Jet Black...because there is just something about the contrast of my skin tone to the over emphasized black in Jet Black that seems to compliment each other!

The temps have finally fallen and it is definitely starting to feel like Fall...over sized sweaters and tall boots become the norm and I am so excited!

If there is one thing I absolutely love(more than my gorgeous and adorable hubby) it is boots...I am literally obsessed and if I could rock knee high or over-the-knee boots all year round, I probably would! So, it comes as no surprise that I love Fall and Winter simply because of get to indulge my obsession with such ease and pleasure.

One of my favorite shoe sites, ShoeMint, as provided the ultimate excused to indulge in a little retail therapy in preparation for the cooler temps and her name is ANN!

Relaxed leather in black or brown with a knee high slouch and back zipper, Ann is ideal for running errands or meeting the ladies for brunch or even hitting up a few tailgating events with my own personal James Bond. I probably have way too many black boots, so I am going to probably pass on the black and skip straight to the brown.

What's on your agenda for the weekend?

Last night was definitely epic(hence the craziness that is these pictures) which started with Happy Hour at RA Sushi in Galleria Area and ended with a laughter engulfed night at my girlfriend's Passion Party hosted by Bedroom Kandi. I didn't purchase anything as I am still a newly wed and my goodie box is still fresh, but I definitely learned and heard some wonderful things that are sure to keep the spice alive for years to come!

One of my favorite parts about Fall is I get to indulge my insatiable lust for boots! Last year, I was head-over-wedges in love with this boot but the cream was sold out before I could scoop them both up...this year, I snagged up the cream pair and I am overly anxious to wear them. If there is one thing I know for sure, it is that you can never count on Texas weather to be consistent...Fall winds in the morning and Summer heat waves in the afternoon, but I definitely love my city and state!

The other thing I know for sure is that I can't seem to get enough of joggers and jogger trousers because there is something about the banded ankle(which I strongly dislike in shirts and dresses) takes a regular pair of lounging pants and morphs them into a universally dressy or casual option for work or play! Gota love a versatile piece, right?!?!?!

I think it goes without saying...I Am Ready For FALL!!! The temps here in Texas are brutal during the summer months and often times well into what should be the Fall season, but we have broken 90 degrees as of late and I am all about embracing the cooler weather! After all, my obsession with boots is real and they sure could use a little attention have being on lock down since March/April.

Any who, there really is something unique about pairing a nude heel with just about anything that seems to add a bit of sophistication to an otherwise simple look. And these suede beauties, from ShoeMint, definitely stay in heavy rotation!

Over the weekend, I met up with one of my oldest friends to celebrate the start of her birthday week with a ladies brunch and some much need girl time.

Needless to say, I literally can't wait for it to start feeling like fall so I can step into my favorite season with a smile. So, when the temps dropped just a little I couldn't help but to showcase my love of boots...especially over-the-knee boots! For brunch I kept it rather simple and paired these Aldo flat boots with a pair of faux leather shorts from Zara and an oversized belt to cinch the waist of this open front sweater.

As of late, I have really been in to digging into the depths of my closet and pulling out some old pieces and trying to find new looks. This morning felt like a skirt day and since I am always cold, I figured I would combine the two and this combination is the final product. I am really not sure exactly how or even why I put these pieces together, but for some reason it seems to work for me today. What do you think?
