I'll be honest, I had no idea what I was going to see when I went to watch this film a few weeks back.I knew there was a lot of hype about it and so on. I can't lie, one was severely hungover and in desperate need of some cinema food and a quick stop at Maccy D's.(Serious glamorous life). So 'The Artist' was suggested. I did not know at all it was a silent movie, so when it began I turned to my friend with my 'ah here' face and she whispered 'sorry'! One was delicate enough with a mixture of being hungover, having eaten way too much and thinking about the lovely of old man who came to the cinema on his own, who was sitting beside me eating his small tub of ben and jerry's (super sensitive, sure listen he could have been fighting with the wife for all we know!). My concentration levels were at zero! Let's face it we are not used to silent movies but thankfully in the first 15 minutes I was sold! It was amazing. It was a lovely story, so well made and the actors have an abundance of talent especially that dog! What captured me the most apart from the dancing and the beautiful music, was of course the costumes especially the ones the leading lady Peppy Miller wore, played by Berenice Bejo. They were stunning.
If you have not seen this movie yet I really suggest that you do, just don't be as delicate going as I was!

Hot in the City...

So earlier today , we were kindly invited to Get Glam with Diet Coke and Benefit in the Dylan Hotel. We were there to preview the new cans that are being released that are based around 3 different Benefit make up looks. The genius part is, each can will have a code, and if you enter it on www.cokezone.ie , you have a chance of winning €99 worth of Benefit make up , every thirty minutes. Sa-weet.

After that, since it was such a nice day, we went for a stroll around Town.
First stop was Beaux Bows in George's Street Arcade to have a peek at their new stock,
namely their lazy oaf collection which just arrived in store at the weekend...

(I need that watermelon skirt soo soo soo bad. So bad.)

Then it was on to Dirty Fabulous to deliver another batch of Tabitha Magazines!
Good Lord above , their stock is just amazing at the minute. Myself and Lou were actually squealing looking at their bridal collection.

It really felt like Spring was starting today, so we sat outside in the Secret Cake Cafe to chow down on some cupcakes nom nom nom..

I wore my new huge bag from Awear, love it!

And to finish the day off, we popped into some charity shops (mine and Lou's fave way to spend a day) and nabbed some bargains.

This lemon blouse was only like 4 quid, I just added my own pearl collar from Topshop.

This is a lovely apricot coloured blouse , and to be honest is as close to Louis Vuitton S/S 12 that I'm gona get....

Thanks again to everyone who came to the launch! We really appreciate all the support we have been getting with Issue 1! We have distributed the magazine to around 20 places in Dublin and a few places in Galway .. very exciting! Hope you are enjoying reading it. We've already begun discussing Issue 2 x

Oh what a joy it was to pop into the Morrison Hotel yesterday to preview A|Wear's Spring/Summer collection 2012. Due to hit A|Wear stores all around the country from mid-February onwards, every single collection is something to look forward to. My eyes went straight to this..

What a gorgeous colour for Spring. One must have. There are four main collections..'Soft Focus'(my favourite!..with a colour palette full of pastels its dreamy, romantic & oh so feminine. Just beautiful), 'Nautical'(gorgeous tailored pieces and plenty of navy, red & white), 'Colour Couture' (bursts of amazing colours from turquoise to orange, have fun with this collection & embrace some colour into your wardrobe) and finally 'Exotica' (Bold prints, sun-kissed colours, leopard print..makes you want to buy the whole lot and head to your nearest travel agent)

Then there is the shoes, bags & swimwear collection for Spring/Summer..floral bathing suits, floral backpacks, rich emerald green handbags, cute pumps & amazing camel wedges to name but a few.

We could go on! As ever the price point is spot on..really affordable for some amazing pieces for your S/S wardrobe and it's an Irish highstreet store!Few and far between! I have to say these are some of my favourite collections I've seen so far from the A|Wear team, I am very much a S/S girl. Bleugh Winter, unless you live in NY!

Even though during fashion weeks I am usually hooked to my phone or laptop following as much as possible , I find that it's only when you sit down to an issue of Elle or Vogue collections previewing the season ahead that you notice sub trends.
This year, for me, is the year of the disgusting accessory.

Golden Globes 2012 , betches! ...

Ahh I love this time of year. Awards season.It's all about the red carpets, the dresses and the obligatory judgment from journalists, bloggers and general fashion bitches worldwide.
Bring it on!

Last night was the Golden Globes. The Tesco Value version of the Oscars.
This year was definitely the year of the cleavage. It was also the year that I screamed "TOO MUCH" a lot at the photos from the red carpet.

There were a good few laughs so I'll start with my LOL-fest pics.

CAM-ER-ON. What was going on in your pretty little head when you came up with this? The hair? Good lord you look like a Cruise Ship singer from the 90's.

Poor Natalie, someone forgot to tell her that she left a coat hanger in the butt of her dress.

Ohhh , good idea Lynsay. Match your hair , face and lips to your dress.

Erin...Erin...Erin..Normally you can do no wrong..but here it looks like your head has spun 180 degrees around and that's your back.

And this is what boobs look like when one is trying the escape one way and the other is hellbent on heading the total opposite direction.

Thank you to everyone who is supporting our fund it project. We really appreciate everyone being so nice! It is nearly all over, only 7 more days to raise one and a half grand so we have a fair stretch to go! We gotta reach the target in order to get the funds to get tabitha printed.
